Outlook version of Hotmail has a corrupt front page, just a list of folders

the normal Outlook Hotmail page has a toolbar on top, and selected message in main window. I now have a corrupt version with just a list of folders down the left side and no top toolbar.
I am not IT literate and need help in a 'click this now click that' format.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

.Mac front page hit counts list

Using iWeb with .Mac, I get hit counts only for the top 5 pages in my .Mac front page status column. I assume that's a standard and have found no settings to permit me to change this.
Is this it? Can we only monitor the counts for our top 5 pages without having to actually visit (and influence the counts of) the other pages?
If I'm missing something, I'd be grateful for a friendly hint on how to passively observe the hit totals on all marked pages. If this is just the nature of the beast, chalk it up as another straw in the growing pile under the sign labeled "frustrating shortcomings."

That's the way it's been since the Homepage days too. I'm not aware of any other way to show the "hits" for more than just the top 5.

First page of what? I assume that you are talking about Safari and not a book in iBooks, the Kindle app or the Nook app.
Clear Safari in Settings>Safari>Clear History and website data. Then reset the iPad by holing down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Blog Summary/Entry-link on front-page?

Hi all!
I have a front-page and a blog-page on my newly created iWeb '08 site, and it's working great.
However I'd like to have my blog-entries show up on the front-page, just the title as a link, that takes you to the blog entry.
I'd rather not make the blog summary page my front-page, because I like the layout of the front-page, but I'd also like my visitors to be able to quickly go to my blog-posts from the front-page.
Is this possible, maybe via the new Web Widgets feature? Seems like something a lot of people would want to do, and maybe it's right there in front of me, I just can't seeem to find it
Another thing: Has anyone made a "iWeb 08 Web Widgets Repository" or something like that? A place to collect and share great Web Widgets for iWeb?

Use an RSS feeder like feeddigest or your servers own to create a java script that will "scrape" your site. If you don't care what it looks like there are a number of them out there, if you want customization go with feeddigest. You won't get updates very quickly (24 hour turnaround), but it looks better than most.

I have read the discussions concerning the steps needed to
convert a Front Page website to Dreamweaver 8 website, especially
the one from "ACE". After going through the tutorials though I have
defined the remote server where the front page site resides and
also a folder or place holder on my PC's hard drive to hold it. How
is it (the website) copied? I see that dreamweaver has touched the
front page site in that in a viewer mode "slideshow" works.
I tried exporting the site to an area but in looking at the
size I realize that the whole site was NOT exported. In reviewing
the article from ACE he suggests downloading the whole site which I
have done.
Can someone give me some guidance. Many Thanks

In DW, connect to the remote site. Expand the Files panel.
Select all the
files in the Remote site and GET them.
You now have the whole site in the local folder and can edit
them in DW.

How do I fix this terrible problem?
If it requires a Photoshop CS5 re-install, (I belief that it may fix the problem) and re-install the two third party plugins (NIK Viveza) and (Onone Perfect Resize) how and where do I get to the proper Adobe upload page to do that.
I have tried to fix this problem by changing the memory allocations, I have spend many hours on it and are very disgusted with it but it needs to be fixed. The current memory settings are;
Ram available = 1588 MB
Range = 873 -1143 MB
Recommended Photoshop usage range = 857 however I have tried every setting to max and in between. Nothing works. Current setting = 1588 (max)
The Photoshop I use is registered, I have product # and order # .

Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins. They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

I did a system restore, trying to get rid of the new update (which I HATE), and now when I try to open iTunes, I get an error message telling me that "This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version." You can't change the language option unless you can open iTunes - and IT WON'T OPEN!!! What a piece of crap! If there existed an iTunes substitute, I would purchase it in a hot minute!

Strip it out and start again.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you really want to roll back to 11.4 uninstall all iTunes/Apple components as described in the second box, restore the pre-upgrade version of the library as described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash, then download and install from one of these direct links:

have verified and repaired permissions. all downloads are giving me either invalid checksum or "image file corrupted" every other coputer on the network runs fine. Just wondering if i am going to have to wipe and reinstall. please say no.

I got this problem after upgrading to 11.0.4. Solved it by going to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ , downloading the newest version and reinstalling. Works fine now.
Full disclosure - I was having problems with 11.0.3 crashing, so I had used Time Machine to revert to 11.0.2 prior to using system update to install 11.0.4 the first time.

I would read the document in full, but here are the applicable steps for you:
How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.

The docfile has been corrupted : Windows 7 + CS 4 FLA

There seems to be an issue w/ Windows 7 + CS4 FLA files where
some don't open with the error "The docfile has been corrupted".
The same FLA opens fine in Vista or OSX on the same machine &
other machines. Any ideas on how to fix or work around this would
be greatly appreciated!

I've received these errors as well, and yes, of course Adobe
won't offer solutions to the problem yet since Windows 7 is in
BETA. Here's a simple explanation of a beta release:
"The beta version of a software release is considered to be a
preview. It sometimes has all the standard features, but is not yet
ready for wide release or sale. During this point, the company will
collect feedback from users about the product's usability —
what they like and what should be changed — before the
product's wide release."
So, it would be in all of our best interests to send feedback
about this issue directly to Microsoft through their "send
feedback" link that appears on every window in the beta OS. When
the OS releases, that's a whole new story if the error still
occurs.

Try downloading and reinstalling the latest version of iTunes from the first link below. If that doesn't do it, the suggestions in the second article should resolve the installation issue.
