Step 1:
Menu > Email > Settings > Personal Inform. Manag. > Applications > Calendar
Calendar sync = yes
Remove entr. older than = pick something
Initial sync = select keep if you have entries on phone that you don't have on Exchange
Step 2:
Back > Back > Back
Or
Menu > Email > Settings > Mail for Exchange > What to sync
Sync email = No
Steps have to be taken in this order as MfE requires that at least something is set to sync. Thus, it's not possible to disable email sync first and enable calendar sync afterwards.

As a last resort and bear in mind that all user data would be deleted you could try a three button depressed power on hard reset with device off.
Keep these three buttons Capslock, Space and Backspace depressed whilst powering on device until Nokia "Shaking hands" logo apears.

  • How do I use hotmail via Blackberry services and not via phone network so not using up my data?

    Hi,
I have a new Blackberry 9360 and am having trouble with it. They said in the shop that I can access my yahoo mail without using up my 250mb of internet data, so can access it using the Blackberry services rather than the internet. I can't work out how to do this and can only seem to use the email through the internet where the messages come into my 'Messages' on the 'Home' screen, therefore I'm using up my data every time I open an email message when it comes in.
Can anyone please help me as I'm wishing I could go back to Nokia at the mo!
    Many thanks.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
They gave me the impresssion in the shop that I could access my existing yahoo hotmail, send and receive messages on it for free via the BlackBerry services and not use up my data allowance and they didn't mean the Blackberry email which is a different thing. Have they misled me with this?
    Many thanks for any advice.

  • Connecting iMac to ASDL router via home Phone Network Adaptor (PNA)

I connect to the internet via an ASDL Router from BT called the Network 1200.
This allows other computers in the home to connect to the router via a telephone point close to the computer. This is achieved by plugging a Phone Network Adaptor into a USB port on the computer on one end and the telephone socket on the other. The driver for the PNA is contained on disc. I have been connecting several PCs to the router in this way for many years.
I then buy a new iMac, load the driver for the PNA. Plug it into the USB port (expecting this to connect the iMac to the router and so achieving an internet connection) ....but nothing happens. iMac doesn't even acknowledge something has been plugged into a USB port. This works perfectly well with any other PC.
Can anybody help steer me in the right direction to solve this?
    Thanks

The Driver was meant to be compatible with a Mac but I guess it could have been for earlier Macs and operating systems. Next question is where do I get one if one exists?

Hello, Due to mannually triggered stackshot via springboard my be my phone springboard crashed, that`s why
my phone network dose not responding now what can I do ??

Since springboard was mentioned, that leads me to believe the device is jailbroken.
If that is the case, the OP is on their own as discussion of jailbroken devices is not permitted here.

I had an app which disables an iPhone to connect to the internet via mobile network. In the meantime I have deleted that app but it still affects my phone. For example iPhone shows that 3G sign on the top (next to the time) but it is unable to open any website. Is there anything I can do about it?

What was the app you are referring to? I'm not aware of anything on the app store that is designed to do that, unless you're talking about an app that was causing a problem...
    Was/is your phone jailbroken?

  • Is there anyway to connect iphone to other devices via bluetooth.like nokia and other phones

Is there anyway to connect iphone to other devices via bluetooth.like nokia and other phones

    No
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store, and tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this, it will not connect to any computer/phone/device.

  • It´s possible to use the "Remote" app with Itunes and a Nokia E72 with Joikuspot installed only? Or I´ll need to buy a modem Wifi?

It´s possible to use the "Remote" app with Itunes and a Nokia E72 with Joikuspot installed only? Or I´ll need to buy a modem Wifi?
I was using "remote" with a D-link modem, that works fine at my iPad. But now I´m using only the cell phone as modem 3G, and don´t want to intall a router to put new cables at my notebook.

    What?
You want to control iTunes on your computer using the Remote app on your iPad?
And you want to connect the iPad and computer through your Nokia?
    No, this will not work.
Just create a network with your notebook.

  • Nokia E72 Internet Problems.

I'm not all too clued up on phones, but I'm having a problem with the internet on my Nokia e72. When I click internet, I want it to ask me how to connect (WLAN, GPRS etc.), but despite the fact I have set it to do so, it always connects via my home wifi. It's frustrating, because it tries to do so even when I'm out, and I want it to connect via Orange GPRS, and it means that I can't use my internet when I'm out. Help?

    @Emma93
Go to Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > Connection > Destinations > Internet - you want WLAN = Priority 1 - is Orange GPRS = Priority 2? If you want to change order highlight access point go to Options > Organise > Change priority - highlight position you want it moved to and press centre of "D" pad to make it move.
When you get to know your E72 better there is an application Smart Connect where you can also prioritise access point for use by applications marked in screenshot:

  • Nokia E72 GPS

    Hello,
This is driving me to distraction on my Nokia E72 which I have been very pleased with everything on it, but the GPS receiver is pretty dire in my unit.
I have access points correctly configured and tried just about every combination of positioning methods to no avail.
Most of the time I end up having to set off in the car and sometimes the GPS gets a lock (having been set on waiting for GPS) and sometimes, it just never catches up and I switch it off. Worse, yesterday I started getting directions having supposedly got a lock, for all the wrong roads and directions as the phone thought it was somewhere else!
This has been on good clear days and days where it has been overcast.
Nokia Maps is set to online mode.
How do other people find the GPS in the E72? My phone is on v81.003, I can't upgrade it to a later version as it says there is none.
Mine is a SIM free unlocked phone from new.
    Thanks,
    Vicky

to be honest I have this problem with almost all GPS units (including tomtom). Particularly when not plugged into power (you know, they come with batteries in them though most people never use them)
Unless you have A-GPS going (and the network provides the data) it can often take me 20min to get a lock too.
Just ensure that the phone is in a place which is not buried within the car (metal shields it from signal) and that you're not in an area with lots of hills or tall buildings.
GPS of all flavors has limits.
I have tried using an external GPS (bought for my E63) which sometimes gets a lock better than the phone.
I suspect that when on battery that GPS units 'slow down' searching for sattelites to conserve power ...

  • Nokia E72 not charging on pin or USB

Hi, I am having a charging issue with my Nokia E72 which has the latest software. I have taken it into a Nokia Service centre but they cannot resolve.
The phone will not charge and when you connect the charger into the small pin socket the phone displays 'not charging' and then 'sim registration failed' and takes about 1 minute to pick the 02 signal up again. I have tried different chargers and currently carrying 3 battery's all the time and charging them in my old E71.
In addition to this when I listen to music via my parrot in car the music cuts out every 3 seconds as if something is interfering with the Bluetooth connection. However when I plug the phone into the in car charger (and after the above messages and signal loss) this does not happen. Very strange.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Many thanks.

    Hi,
So two months have passed. My phone has been serviced three times since August. It usually worked fine for several hours and was getting broken again.
During the last service visit my phone had its main board replaced along with the LCD screen and one part of chassis front (there was a tiny scratch and now it's gone  ).
The device has been working well for 24 hours now. I managed to configure it and upload all data. So now - fingers crossed.
    Gretings!
    M.
    P.S.
Earlier the service guys did the "digital block tuning" (or sth like that) but it dit not help too much.

  • Need help on Nokia e72

    Hi,
I bought a Nokia e72 two weeks back. Dont have much problems with it. Its a great phone The only problem i see here is with battery life. Before the phone release it was said that the phone will have 11hr of battery back on call. I was expecting the baterry to stand for 3+ days with normal usage, but i am really disappointed by nokia it hardly goes for 2+ days.
Any one have any trick to make the battery stay longer or any way to handle the phone which will keep the battery well. The second problem i see with phone is the GPS does not seem to be working. but when i use some external application that uses gps, it works. I am using google maps which works awesome.
I will keep posting for any new problem encountered.
One more big queestion is that , when the new firmware will get released, how do we install it on phone, do we loose data on phone, do we loose any functionality ?
Can a firmware resolve the battery issue??
anyways. a little help from me.
I found a nice site where we have many free awesome softwares for nokia e71. www.getjar.com
every possible software is available here. just set your phone model, and the site will have everything compatible to the phone. Nice web site, I really liked it
Some one please help with battery issue

WLAN uses less power than 3G on most phones and particularly on the E72 which has a great autonomy with WLAN.
    Here's the official spec:
    - GSM 12 h 30 min
    - WCDMA 5 h 54 min
    - VoIP 13 h 42 min
    (VoIP uses WLAN)
The problem is however that the phone does not always close the 3G connection when you come under the WLAN connection. I then have to do this manually otherwise it drains the battery.
hint: if you don't always need the speed of 3G (like if you only use email for ex) you can set your  phone to use EDGE/GPRS instead. That's how I survive a full day of push  mail on other devices that don't have that great BP-4L 1500 mA battery of the Eseries. Control Panel -> Settings -> Phone -> Network -> GSM (instead of Dual mode)
Really? That's very strange. When I text chat with Nimbuzz over WLAN my battery seems to go down much quicker than
when I do the same over 3G. I suppose it could be something in the way Nimbuzz handles the connection/data.

I do this all the time and I don't get why there's no automatic management or at least preference-setting per application for this. When text chatting I really don't need the 3G. Only really for voice chat or internet or something like that. It seems to me phones could last for days longer if there was a clever way of managing this. Certainly my E51 used to drain in a little over a day with the 3G on, while it easily lasted 3 days without. It seems a really easy way to blow the competition to bits if you can have smart power/connection management.

  • Pushed Update to Nokia E72 - MEANS MUSIC STOPPED W...

Today Nokia pushed an update to my Nokia E72 and since the update when I try and listen to music most tracks just skip onto the next without starting to play OR play for 4 seconds then moves onto the next song. Super annoying! Tried to format memory card. Still the same, hard reset, still the same... What happened Nokia!?!
    Software Version: 022.007
    Version Date: 10th Dec 2009 (downloaded 5th Feb 2010)

The best method actually for the end user is via NSU or Ovi Suite. It seems certain settings on your computer may be affecting the installation. Please uninstall NSU, and clean out your PC of all Nokia instances using Nokia PC Suite cleaner. Turn off you antivirus and firewall (I have mine set to recognize Ovi Suite as friendly, maybe you could do that as well), and install PC Suite, NSU and retry the update. Do not run any app as you do this, and keep AV and FW turned off.
If you find that you still cant update properly, you can have your phone updated at a Nokia Care Center. Its free if you are still under warranty.
There is no guarantee that your problems will be solved. Updates will only solve bugs. However if your problem is corrupted system files, the fw update may not help unless the update replaces those system files. However if the files are on the memory card, an update will not help and the only solution for that is a card reformat.
