Outlook Web Access Search - Action could not be completed

Hi All,
When I try to search for an email in OWA 2010 I get the following error message..
The action could not be completed. Please try again..
I have tried restarting the Microsoft Search (Exchange) service to no avail. Anybody know what could be broken here?
Thanks ahead of time,
Mike

You will need to execute a script on the affected Mailbox servers that reinstalls the symbolic links:
Download the script Repair-ExchangeSearchSymlinks.ps1 from
the Script Center.
Copy the Repair-ExchangeSearchSymlinks.ps1 script to the Scripts directory on the Mailbox server (default installation is C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange
Server\v14\Scripts).
On the afflicted Mailbox server, open the Exchange Management Shell by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting “Run as Administrator”.
Within the Exchange Management Shell, navigate to the Exchange Scripts directory.
Within the Exchange Management Shell, run the following script:
.\Repair-ExchangeSearchSymlinks.ps1
Within the Exchange Management Shell, run the following script (without the symbols [] and substitute the database name(s) for any databases you wish to reset:
.\ResetSearchIndex.ps1 [-force] <dbname> [<dbname>]...
You will receive an Event ID 109 when the rebuilding of the index starts for each database and an Event
ID 110 for each database when the index rebuild has completed.
Please consider: you have to wait up to 24 hours when the index rebuild has completed and after
receiving Event ID 110 for each database, test to
make sure search functions correctly with both OWA and Outlook operating in Online Mode.

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain.  She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server.  Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails.  She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started.  I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue.  I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try.  She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.
If an internal user tries to send a message with infected attachment using Outlook Web Access, it may report the following error message: The action could not be completed because of a conflict with the original item. The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization.
This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. At the same time a blank message with an attachment named "Attachment_information.txt" will remain in the user's Drafts folder. The "Attachment_information.txt" will contain information about the virus detected in the message.

PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

Honestly saying, the problem I had already a week, I tried to solve it on their own, but all my attempts were unsuccessful, I am sure that this problem is not related to what some of my actions, cause I never made any manipulations with phone.
I really appreciate the attention rendered by the support services, I just need that everything works fine.
I am sure that this is some sort of a strange problems, I have long been searching for an answer in the Internet came on similar way problems have other users.
I received today a update notice for App Catalog, I saw that HP Palm updated App Catalog, I updated my App Catalog, check again, but still nothing changed, same problem "The action could not be completed. Try again later" with yellow exclamation mark.

  • BUG: This action could not be completed. Try again later.

In trying to update the app, "Foursquare (Now)" via Preware, I am encountering the error, "This action could not be completed. Try again later."  I previously had installed this app, which ran normally.  I was updating the app with the newest version when I encountered this error.  I uninstalled the app, then attempted to reinstall it, but it gave the same error (and now I do not have even the prior version running).
I have had no other difficulty installing homebrew apps and app store apps via Preware.
I'm on a Pre running WebOS 1.4, with 5.4 GB free.
    A little help?

    Hello thonght and welcome to the forums;
Each phone is associated with a specific country. The country is assigned automatically the first time a Palm profile is created on the phone. The App Catalog apps you can access are based on the country associated with the phone.
Phones associated with the following countries or regions can use App Catalog to purchase apps and to download free apps:
Canada; Germany; Ireland; Mexico; Spain; United Kingdom; United States
Phones associated with the following countries or regions can use App Catalog to download free apps only:
Australia; Austria; Belgium; China; Czech Republic; France; Hong Kong; Italy; Luxembourg; Netherlands; Norway; Poland; Switzerland
As Vietnam is not a currently supported country for the App Catalog, this is likely why you are unable to access any applications.
I apologize that this is not an answer that will correct the error you are seeing, however I hope this has been helpful.

  • The action could not be completed. Try again later when try to update apps

    Hi there,
Today I did run the update utility in my unblocked Palm Pixi Plus. I got the message that updates are available for most of the apps I have installed. When I hit on show updates, I can see the list of updates but after a few seconds I got the following message: The action could not be completed. Try again later.
My Palm webOS version is 1.4.5
Unfortunately, I just realized that online support chat was discontinued, it helped me a lot before.
I appreciate I find a fix in here.
    Thank you in advance,
    Luis.

  • Save for Web & Devices, The operation could not be completed

I keep getting this error when I Save for Web & Devices: The operation could not be completed.
I have saved for the web before for many more complex, larger images without a hitch.
I am using a psd format with an image that I designed. It is no more complex than others I have done. It is small, just a horizontal navbar about the size of the one on Apple's website.
I tried exporting it, flattening it, slicing it removing the slices.
I think it is a problem with the application itself.
I have tried repairing my permissions, restarting, and holding Cmd, Opt, Control, Shift during PS startup to reset the settings. Any insight would be appreciated.

    @ rufat_j and @alfagtv100:
Could please send me a private message containing the palm profile account, IMEI, serial #, carrier used, and country for those phones.  This information can be found in the device info app.
Please also tell me if you do have any homebrew applications installed or not, apps installed from other sources than the app catalog.  This can greatly help.

  • File Save for Web = Error: The operation could not be completed.

Installed photoshop CS6 trial Version 13.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate running in hyper-v virtual machine.  Created a small image and clicked File Save for Web.  This produced the error dialog "Error: The operation could not be completed."
I tried the following trouble shooting steps:
    1. deleted the preferences
    2. created a new user
    3. re-installed both the operating system and photoshop
    4. looked for permission issues
    5. monitored procmon.exe to look for unusual errors
I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but it simply does not work.

    ELEMENTS 12 AND ELEMENTS 13
Upgraded to 13 Thinking might resolve the issue.
Was working fine up until we had "Tech" come in the office and "up grade some stuff"
then all of a sudden i started getting this message, something happened but i don't have a clue what.

  • OWA error "The action could not be completed. Please try again".

    Hi All,
We are facing some issues with OWA recently. When we try to search any thing from inbox/sent, we are getting above mentioned error.
We have Exchange 2010 with sp1. We observed 3 times that the Exchange Management Console was not turned up properly in the gap of 2 Months time. At that time we restarted the IIS in the Exchange server and the issue solved.
We have faced the same issue today. We restarted the IIS of Exchange server.  Exchange Management Console is fine and the OWA access was also good. But we found the above mentioned error when try to search in inbox/sent.
    We did following steps:
    1) Ran Best Practice................ Didn't find any issues. Only Network drivers showing as very old.
    2) Observed the Event Viewer. Found some errors relating to the Antivirus.
    3) The Exchange Index and Search services are restarted. But no use.
Could any one suggest how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Ram.

    Hi,
Firstly, I’d like to confirm if there is 9842 error in your event log and if search in Outlook works well.
If yes, you can check if the following article can help you:

  • I have not been able to sync my iPad with my pc. It runs for an hour, never gets past the backing up stage and then gives me an error message that the action could not be completed. Any suggestions?

    ?

    Several things to try.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the Sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut Off. To power up hold the Sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time (for about 10-15 seconds) until the Apple logo appears (ignore the red slider), then let go of the buttons.
Disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.

  • Outlook Web Access not working in Safari or any other browse

When I try to access OWA from ANY browser, Safari, IE, or Firefox, I get the same error.
"You could not be logged on to Outlook Web Access. Make sure your User Name and Password are correct, and then try again."
When I log in from my PC, I don't have this problem.
The IT guys at work claim that they won't support Mac problems. Typical....
    Any thoughts?

Don't know if this will help, but are you providing the correct credentials via Safari? When you use IE, you are presented with a dialog box that asks for userid, password, and domain name. Safari and other browsers will only ask for the userid and password. Consequently, when using these browsers, you need to preface your userid with the domain name followed by a backslash. For example:
    mydomain\jsmith
While Safari works with OWA, it has an annoying habit of requesting the username and password frequently as you navigate through OWA. I also find that I occasionally have to to click twice on a button to get Safari to activate a command such as reading a message or the Send button. I now use Camino for OWA access. It's cleaner and faster.

  • Outlook Web Access - Not Working In Safari

Not sure if it can be fixed or not. I get the same problem in Camino. When I go to my works Outlook Web Access, I can login and see everything - however the setup is all wrong. There are boxes and files and folders in places that it should not be. It's like the coding is all wrong.
However as usual, it works fine in IE 7 on my PC. I just bought my Mac for a reason - to get away from Windows. Help me figure this out so I can do just that.
Any suggestions or comments? I thought Safari and Camino were "universal" browsers? I know IE is an MS product and can't be the only browser that works right. If it is, we are in a world of hurt.
    Please help! Thanks

    Hello AbSoluTc,
First of all, welcome to the Apple discussions.
I hat the same problem to get in the company server via my Mac. So now I use the laptop from the company to work online.
I think in your case you have to use your PC to get in without issues.
Let me know if so ...
    Good luck ...

  • Save for Web - The operation could not be completed. Access is denied.

Hello everyone! I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this, but unfortunately, I really need help with my Adobe Photoshop. I run on Windows 32x and my program is Photoshop CS6 (Portable and its 64 bit), which I've had for about a year. Yesterday, I made a GIF and I tried to save it but along came the message saying "The operation could not be completed. Access is denied."
I reset my preferences (more than once!), restarted my laptop and cleared up a bunch of memory on my hard drive. The mode is set to 8 Bits/Channel and RGB Color. I really have tried to look at every thread I could, but alas I could not find anything. I would really appreciate some help. Here is my system info!
Any advice would really go a long way to helping me, and I am desperate. Thanks.

Make sure that you have read write access to the foldler that you're trying to save your file to.  Save for web doesn't save in the same location as where the file resides. It remembers that last location used, and you may not have access to that.

If you were using Apple's BootCamp and received this message, quit it and open Disk Uility in your Applicaitons/Utilities folder.
Select the Macintosh HD partition on the left and select Erase and Erase Free Space > Zero option and let it complete (important) this will check the spare space for bad sectors that can cause issues formatting partitions.
Once it's completed, try creating a partiton again in BootCamp.
If that doesn't work, then hold command option r keys down while connected to a fast internet connection, Internet Recovery should load (spinning globe) and then in that Disk Utility, select your entire internal drive and click > First Aid > Repair Disk and Permissions.
    reboot and attempt Bootcamp again.
If you still get a error, it might be that you have OS X data on the bottom area where BootCamp partition needs to go. This would occur if you had the drive or computer for a long time or wrote a large amount of files to the drive and nearly filling it up and then reduced some, but it left traces in the area BootCamp needs to go.
    To fix this
BootCamp: "This disc can not be partitioned/impossible to move files."
