Outlook won't close with iTunes 10 Addin

since I updated to iTunes 10 (on two pc's) my Outlook 2007 won't close completely. There is always a grey Outlook icon in the statusbar and I have to close it with the taskmanager. If I deactivate the Outlook Change Notifier (an iTunes Addin) my Outlook will work fine. Is there anybody else with this problem? Any solution? I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

Outlook won't close when iTunes Com Add-in is checked
I had a problem with Outlook not closing and figured out that if I unchecked the iTunes Com Add-in it would close properly. Now everytime I open iTunes it adds the Com Add-in back into the (Tools, Com Add-in) I even tried removing it but it always comes back, does anyone know a final fix to this?
Sorry, no anwser - but I have exactly the same problem, and really thought, that more people will have it, too...
To be maybe a bit more precise: It SEEMS like Oulooks closes, but there is still the icon on the right buttom, showing, that Outook ist still open in the background. Also my mails in the trash folder of outlook are not deleted, which is a clear sign, that outlook is still running.
This is - once again, after the "DEL key bug" extremly annoying! I don't use the Outlook sync function, so why is Apple touching my installation of Outlook, without asking me, and without giving me a chance, to reverse it? This is absolutely unacceptable!! -
Outlook won't close after iTunes update
Any one else notice this after the last iTunes / Quicktime update?
After the most recent iTunes update, Outlook 2003 will no longer close completely. It stays active in the systray (that's the bottom right of the screen with the time) even though it's been closed appropriately.
The reason this is a problem is the following:
- Outlook continues to pull mail off the POP server. My wife's iphone never sees new email because it's already been pulled by Outlook.
The workaround is to log completely off of that windows account so Outlook is forced to close. (There are several other workarounds, but that one is easy...)

iPod Nano 6th gen won't sync with iTunes 12.1.1.4.
This iPod was synced with another iTunes library. I had to transfer iTunes library from another laptop.
Launch iTunes (12.1.1.4), plug in Nano, Nano display says connected, Nano appears in iTunes, but when I attempt to navigate to Nano nothing occurs, or if I am able to navigate to Nano then I can't go any further and select music to sync and the Nano comes out of connected state. I have had to close iTunes, sometimes reboot laptop, but nothing I do appears to make any difference. It won't allow me to continue music selection process and start the sync process. Is there a way to simply reset the Nano and reconnect to get it to sync? I don't care about content as it needs to be resynced with this iteration of iTunes because it is currently associated with the other iTunes library.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.What solved my problem:
I restored my iPod nano on my wife's PC, which had version 11 of iTunes. I was then able to sync it on my PC. Why didn't I restore it on my PC? See following details.
Additional details:
I first took the iPod to the local Apple Store, where the only course of action they could offer was to restore the iPod. So they did. When I got home, it wouldn't even connect to iTunes on my PC, which was a regression from the day before. Out of desperation I plugged it into my wife's PC, and her older version of iTunes immediately told me the iPod had been formatted on a Mac and it needed to be restored on a PC to be usable by a Windows machine. Why my newer version of iTunes couldn't tell me that is a mystery. -

googled it, and it's so confusing @.@There is definitely a problem with iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5.0 syncing correctly. I've seen lots of workarounds on the forums here. Just search for it and see if you can come up with something that works.

iPad 3 and iPhone 4S won't synch with iTunes on Mac book pro. Error message says I need to have version 10.6.3 or later for iTunes. Mac iOS version 10.5.8 and iTunes on Mac is 10.6.1. iPad and iPhone version is 6.0(10A403). When I check for updates on the Mac book pro it says software versions are up to date.
When I check for iTunes version 10.6.3 it looks like it is for snow leopard operating system which I am not on. How to I get my devices to sync with computer. Everything worked prior to iOS 6 upgrade on remote devices.I'm having the same problem.

iTunes 10.6.3 (i.e. latest update - which hasn't had an issues apart from syncing).

Do I really have to update my Mac OS to 10.6.8 in order to sync my phone ? I thought as long as you have iTunes 10.6.3 you're ok...

I moved my music from the c drive to the d drive. All of my music is in itunes but my ipod won't sync with itunes. The syncing process is taking much longer than usual too. I left my ipod over night to sync and it didnt finish. Fails to sync every time. I tried to restore my ipod and it didnt help.

No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.
A 5G iPod with iOS 7 requires that if you have a Mac you have OSX 10.6.8 or later.

What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g? iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.
It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6. Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether. I need to add my music to my iPhone from iTunes but its not working!First off try and go into your IPhone manually through My Computer and cut photos or anything you can through the device to be able to free space up so that you can continue to do what you want to do with ITunes. This way you will be able to create a backup or do what you have to do to manage your information, photos and texts on your device a little better.

Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) won't install with iTunes,either V10.7 or V11. The service can't be started b/c the software is not there. Windows 7 with latest service pack. V11 iTunes installs fine, iPod found, no iPhone 5 b/c no AMDS. Error "insufficient premissions to install AMDS" Tried numerous uninstall / reinstall combinations, installed iTunes as administrator, etc. Somethings not right. What the Heck ?

Downloading and installing iTunes will not fix this problem. If the other troubleshooting steps do not work, go to the Control Panel and uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Services, Quicktime and any other Apple program that might be present. Reboot your computer, then download and install the latest version of iTunes. -
I replaced my HD in my iMac, now my Apple TV (gen 1) won't sync with iTunes, it does not even show up in the device section of iTunes. I turned on sharing in iTunes now my Apple TV shows up in iTunes device section and when I click on it iTunes shows me a streaming sync page as if my Apple TV were a gen 2 unit. ITunes wants to stream everything to my Apple TV. I no longer can manually sync my iTunes with my Apple TV. In the Apple TV menu when I select computers Apple TV shows me my old hard drive with a lock next to it, when I click on it I get a warning that if I continue I will erase the entire Apple TV. Do I need to erase the AppleTV and start from an emty Apple TV HD?
you have to go to your atv's settings and remove the sync setup with the in the atvs eyes "old" computer

an atv can only be set to sync with 1 and it don't know the "old" computer is not just off -
I tried to update to newest version via pc. I got error because i didn't have this recovery program disc that was supposed to come with the purchase so it says, but it didn't and now my ipod touch 8gb won't connect with itunes anymore and is stuck on a screen displaying an itunes icon with a usb icon.
oke i'm not done with the whole thing, but i'm doing that right now. My 8gb ipod touch (4th gen) won't sync with itunes. Running itunes 11.4 on OSX 10.6.8
My touch was running fine until one day I found about 3gb occupied by 'other' space. I ended up restoring my ipod which took care of the problem, but created a new one in that the ipod will no longer sync anything from my itunes library. I have music set up to sync selected artists, and when I click the checkboxes to select my albums and artists to sync, the 'audio' bar fills up.
When I click 'apply', the 'starting sync' and progress bar pop up for like half a second then disappear. Same goes with photos, apps, podcasts, etc.Verify that you have the right boxes checked to sync?
