Output audio from fmle is very bad

Hello for some reason out of the blue fmle just starts having degraded audio quality and almost sound like all the audio is badly cut together

Hi,
Captivate identifies the original audio quality and imports it the same way. Please note that by default narration is recorded at 11Khz in PowerPoint. Hence it is imported inside Captivate with the same setting.
If you are using PowerPoint 2003, go to menu item Slide show > Record narration > change quality.
You will see the default setting at 11KHz.
Please change it to a higher frequency, may be 44.1KHz mono setting and then record narration. Now import the presentation inside Captivate. Audio should be much clearer.

Problems outputing audio from FCP into a mini dv

hi there
i'm trying to output a video with 2 diferrent audio channels into a minin dv through a camera. everything is fine during output but when i check the tape the audio skips and sometimes sounds a little bit squeaking. i exported everything as .mov and imported back into FCP. so im outputting everything already rendered.
does any one have an idea why this is happening?

Could definitely be a problem with the camera, but... the most obvious thing is that your output from fcp doesn't match the format on the camera. Make sure that both are set to 48k 16 bit and that your camera is recording SP.

Multi-Channel output audio from Quick Time (or iTunes)

Hello all,
I am trying to get multi-channel AC3 audio output from QT and can only get two channel stereo. I have seen lots of related posts but can't quite get it.
I am trying to configure a Mac Mini to output properly via the TOS link port to my audio system. I get surround sound fine playing a DVD but not when playing a .m4v file that does give me surround sound when played on my Apple TV.
Should this be possible?

SNR from good to very bad in 2 weeks x-Fi

I don't suppose that there is much I can do about it. But if it would be great to know.
I bought the X-Fi Go, because my Notebook Onboard Sound had some really bad quality. When I raised the General Volume up to 25% or above there was some annoying background noise. Not loud just this quiet noise that gets annoying in quiet movie scenes, not so loud music or when Sound is turned of and the headphones are still on. When I only raised the Wave (the digital) Volume anything else than the one in the windows sound panel it didn't have any effect.
The X-Fi Go was great the first days. With 00% Volume I still couldn't hear anything if there was nothing to hear.
But week later there is a constant noise. Louder than but not as high as the one of the onboard soundcard. Doing anything with the Volume or even switching to mute has absolutely no effect.
Does this happen often? I use only a longer USB extension cable than the default, but since the singal is digital till it reaches the X-Fi Go, this should have any effect.
Now I want to send it back as a warranty case.
I would like to know if you have experienced similar problems with your soundcards?

If the DLM has lowered your profile then it is just a case of waiting for it to increase. If the line is stable it will increase to a speed that DLM deems is best for your line. This can and often does take 3 weeks to happen. As far as I am aware all you can do is to monitor it and if it doesn't increase after 3 weeks then you may get some sort of intervention from BT/Openreach.

I think 20120424 is date, today is 04/24/2012. But I don't understand 100235, 100438, 100641, 100840... What is it?

the short text description for WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR is "Separate Columns by Tabs in Case of ASCII Download", so why do you expect a comma?
Try SAP_CONVERT_TO_CSV_FORMAT and then download.
And no, GUI_DOWNLOAD is only for download via SAP GUI to a users computer.

Output Audio from DVD Studio Pro works on some DVD's but not others

Hello All,
Would really appreciate any help here.
My project in final cut pro 6 has audio and it plays fine on the computer as well as the dvd studio pro simulator. I send the final cut pro file to compressor and then to dvdsp to burn. Everything works fine except when I play it in some dvd players I get no sound. I have another dvd player that plays everything with no problem. This is a big problem as I can't determine what kind of player a client has.
Is there something I need to fix in final cut pro, compressor or dvdsp?

Problems Outputting Audio

I have a problem with outputting audio from my new iMac 21,5".
I have a belkin cable that from minijack converts to double RCA (L and R).
I also have another cable, same characteristic, but with no brand.
Both of them outputs from my iMac only a channel (or left or right, I don't know).
The iMac, with the apple headphones, plays both channel so the iMac works fine.
There is a specific cable for the iMac, or a set of cable (digital, analogic)

Perhaps there is something wrong with that adapter cable?

Stuttering Audio from 10.6.8 Update all Outputs

Hi,
I updated to 10.6.8 and now have stuttering audio using either digital output, headphone output and from the internal speakers so I think something there is a bug.
I tried rolling back 'AppleHDA.kext' using the 'MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.7.dmg' and Pacifist but that didn't help the situation.
Anyone else having similar issues/have an idea for a fix? I don't have a time machine backup with with 10.6.7 unfortunately...

I have a early 2008 macbookpro 2.8 duel with silver keys.
I purchaed the 10.6 disk from the apple store. I've had the machine for years and purchased it refurbished from apple.
I did the erase and install and migrated everything over from external drive, then did update to 10.6.8 and the usb ports still would stop working after a few hours.. Then I read on another apple community forus to reset pram, and pull out the power cable, take out the battery and hold power key for 5 seconds, then restart. that seemed to fix usb issue so far..
But overall my computer seems to be running slower then when using just 10.5.8 and it did not wake from sleep once and I had to force power off and restart.. But maybe its just getting used to 10.6.8. we will see..
Also, on another note, my battery is totally dead, and I can only run computer with power cable.. Will this affect things? it never did with 10.5.8..
Oh, on my erase and install, I just did the simplest version and did not do the full erase to zero using he advanced security measures.. I just did the one where it writes on top of everything..

Simultaneous audio from outputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4?

How do I get simultaneous audio from outputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4? I'm running Logicpro 7.1 through an M-Audio FW 410 hardware interface.
I'm trying to set things up so I can monitor through my mixing board to eleminate the weird echo sound you get in your headphones when recording.
I thought I could do it in logic by creating an ouput 1-2 and output 3-4 channel strip where ouput 3-4 will have the "i/o" plugin and in the plugin settings, Out would be set to 3-4 and input set to 1-2, this way sound will always come out of output 1-2 which will go to my speakers and output 3-4 to my mixing board. Please help!

The 'weird echo sound' is because you are hearing Logic's software monitoring alongside direct monitoring of the inputs (either via the interface, or your mixer, depending where the headphones are plugged in.)
You can avoid this by setting the monitoring level on the record-enabled track to zero. (recording tracks have two level settings. Normal playback and record input monitoring. See page 282 in the Logic Pro reference manual.) It will not affect your record levels, or your input metering.

No audio from HDMI output because High Definition Audio Driver cannot start (Envy 17 Quad)

Ever since I first bought this laptop two months ago, the audio from the HDMI output has always been inconsistent. I remember it working a couple times, but there were more times when my audio driver didn't recognize that an HDMI cable was plugged in. Yes, I tried all the obvious: shutting down computer, checking disabled devices in Playback Devices, reinstalling drivers, etc. Now, when I plug an HDMI cable in, the video comes out fine but the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC does not recognize HDMI/my TV. The High Definition Audio Driver says it cannot start, but I could not reinstall nor find a download from HP's website. How can I get audio through HDMI to my TV??

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. I have upgraded my powermac g5 double processor from 10.4.11 to 10.5 now the computer works very bad. If I try to launch software update the application crash, final cut pro crash, when I try to mount a disk image the application crash, firefox is very slow and I can really navigate on the web.
