Output by color

Hello,
When we create a list, is it possible to color the fields?
If so, how is it done?
Any detailed ideas will be rewarded with points.
Thanks Experts

Hi
Lists can be created for billing , rebates and other functionalities also . so For what you want to get  the color ?For that purpose only your ABAP'er  he is asking?
Secondly if it is for output type also , for which output type , sales order , delivery , billing etc and what program it is related to , these inputs we need to give

  • ISight (iChat and PhotoBooth) cam is outputing CRAZY colors!

    Hi Everyone!
I'm having an annoying issue. My HD recently crashed, and I just got it back from Apple. Fortunately I had TM running, so I got almost everything back. However.. after getting the machine up, and updating back to x.5.2.. my iSight is outputing CRAZY colors. Mainly yellow, grainy, nightvisiony looking image. It occurs in all video apps, I have tried resetting my SMC (although I have no way of knowing if I did or not), and jillions of restarts. I had this happen once before, and the SMC fix did it. Does anyone know a way to get the camera back to usable? Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Hello Steve
... complete list of files (cache, library etc) that Isight draws upon.
I do not think that iSight uses ANY caches. I suppose the apps that operate your iSight might.
The best iSight technical info source I know is this search of the Apple Developer Connection. You may be able to get more specific help by becoming an ADC Member if you are not one already.
As an alternative to researching the ADC info, I offer another thought you may have already considered or tried. If I understand correctly what you have been doing at this thread in the Time Machine Forum, you believe that your iSight problem might be correctable by resetting preferences or clearing caches, but you have decided not to attempt resolution by deleting ALL system preferences and caches. If you think it might be beneficial, you could try an application like Yasu that can give you some control over which preferences and caches you can reset without using the terminal or deleting items generated and managed by OS X.
Finally, Steve, please allow me a word of caution for other readers. You seem to be an experienced OS X user who is more comfortable working at lower levels of OS X than many of us. For benefit of other readers who may be less knowledgeable, it is generally a bad idea to move, modify, rename, or delete any item outside your User > Documents folder unless you know what you are doing. While doing so will not harm your computer, if you damage your data or system files, you will need to restore them, which can be time consuming. Until you have enough knowledge to safely work with them manually, I suggest that you let OS X and your applications manage the files for you as they were designed to do.
    Cheers,
    EZ Jim

  • How to download the ALV output with colors into the excel sheet

    Hi,
I'm having an ALV Grid report output where each and every row has some colors in it. When i download it to an excel sheet whatever the colors that comes on the output of the report the same should come in the excel sheet. When i download the output to an excel sheet using List --> Export -->Local file . If i open the excel files no colors are coming in the excel sheet.
can anyone tell how to get the colors in the excel sheet also. thanks...
    Regards,
    Rose.

    Hi Camila,
    Use the OLE concept.

  • Exporting InDesign to PDF: resolution output / Distiller Color Management

    Specs:
    Power PC G5, Mac OS X 10.4.11
    InDesign Middle Eastern Version CS3
    Acrobat 9.0
    Distiller 9.0
Thanks to anyone who can answer any of these questions for me.
I am sending files to a printer who has requested either PDF files directly from InDesign (file-export) or run through Distiller then into Acrobat
    (default setting of “PDF/X-1a:2001”).
    Question 1: Resolution
They also have the instructions "PDF Output resolution should be set to 600dpi." Is this referring to the Compression pane (Bicubic Downsampling to 300)? I called the printer to confirm if this is what they were referring to, but was told they don't answer questions about making PDFs and that's why they encourage people to use their in-house designers.)
    Question 2: Color Management
For the Distiller/Acrobat option, they have an instructional PDF which I followed, but on the Color Management Pane, they choose the option for Color Handling: "Let InDesign Determine Colors" and the Output color is Composite Gray. But when I get to the color handling option, I only have 2 options: "let PostScript determine" or "no color management." How do I get the InDesign option?
    Question 3: Grayscale Text
Another requirement is that the "Interior text should be submitted as grayscale only." In Acrobat I can preflight and change to grayscale. But will solving the problem of #2 in creating a PostScript file take care of this?
    Question 4: Error in Distiller
    I get this error when I open Distiller: "Error in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings/PDFX4 2007.joboptions:
/CheckCompliance out of range" However, the Postscript file goes through just fine as far as I can tell. I found a forum post on this and the basic idea seemed to be "ignore it." Is that a correct interpretation?

1: This, only down samples your resolutions so they are capped. You would need to make sure your Links are 600dpi or better. (TECHNICALLY this is PPI). Now normally I wouldn't hard *** someone over the difference, but considering there is NO DPI setting I'm aware of (again its PPI) pointing out their error may just get them to explain a bit more what they mean.
2: You can not create an X1a compliant greyscale file.
3: I would guess here they simply mean don't use rich black or multiplate text. This would be due to registration. Just stick to K (black only) and you should be fine.
4: I would not even use distiller for this, stick with Export to PDF.
    To be honest this part
I called the printer to confirm if this is what they were referring to, but was told they don't answer questions about making PDFs and that's why they encourage people to use their in-house designers.)
Would have me looking elseware ASAP. The answer would have taken two seconds from anyone whose head wasn't firmly planted south of their shoulders.

  • Editing RED RAW ... final output for color?

I'm editing with RAW RED files straight from camera. Looking good but just want to know what my best possible output file and quality scheme should be. Anyone else here do this workflow?
I want to send out REDlog Film Gamma space for my color session and I've selected that for all my clips but is there any quality debayering setting I should select before output? And to what file extension output? DPX max bit depth? Uncompressed 10-bit?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't have any RED media to work with, so I can't help with this specific problem.  But...I could use another pair of eyes on a separate issue that might also affect you if you're media was shot at 24 fps, rather than 23.976.

  • Formatting output with colors

    Hi,
I want to display a particular word with some color. But I have to choose that word at runtime based on some condition.
for eg: there are 3 words: str1, str2 and str3.
I have to print all the words, but str2 with yellow color and others with normal color ( ie no color ).
    How to do this?
    Regards,
    Kalai

    Hi,
    Use the FORMAT keyword
    eg.
    FORMAT color 3.
    write str3.
    FORMAT color off.
    Note :
    FORMAT.
    Additions:
    1. ... COLOR n     [ON] or   ... COLOR       OFF
    2. ... INTENSIFIED [ON] or   ... INTENSIFIED OFF
    3. ... INVERSE     [ON] or   ... INVERSE     OFF
    4. ... HOTSPOT     [ON] or   ... HOTSPOT     OFF
    5. ... INPUT       [ON] or   ... INPUT       OFF
    6. ... RESET
    Effect
Sets or modifies the valid output format.
    Notes
The formats set by FORMAT are effective from the next output operation to the list, i.e. from the next WRITE command or from the next new line.
The addition ON for switching on the relevant output format is optional.
You can also set the static additions ON, OFF and n (for COLOR) dynamically with = var (for further information, see end of this documentation).
    Addition 1
... COLOR n [ON] or   ...COLOR OFF
    Effect
Color of line background. n can have the following values:

  • Output from Color always looks soft. Why?

    Hi,
I'm working with hdv (i know, i know) in a 1080i50 FCP project. i use 'send to color' to transfer my timeline into color, perform a basic grade (i'm essentially color matching the shots) and then use 'send to Final cut' (after rendering the sequence) to get it back into FCP.
Once the footage is back in the final cut environment, it just looks terrible! the image appears soft and interlacing artifacts begin to appear on the graded image.
Does anyone know what would cause this? i get better results from FCP's 3 way color correction filter!

    My guess:
Combination of sequence settings not quite matching clip settings.
    Or
A distort, resize, or reposition is being applied to each clip (under the Motion Tab) and should be removed
    Or
    Both

  • Why can't I save inputs, outputs, or colors with Channel Strip settings? :(

I am really just starting to embrace the library for Channel Strip settings - I love that it saves the plug-ins and cusotm Icons, but I kind of thought it would make sense for everything to be saved, no?
I would like to choose a Channel Strip and have it show up with the I/O routing and a saved color. Is this possible and I am just missing it?

You may be hitting a bug. On my system, when I double-click a bin, the new instance of the Project panel inherits the column layout from the current instance. A screen capture video may help get a better handle on what you're seeing.
like a feature request to be able to save Project Panel column order independent of the saved workspace.
If I'm just misunderstanding and PPro is behaving as expected, then you have two options:
Have each user save a workspace with their own particular panel layout and a common column order. Then, after taking hand-off of the project, select the preferred workspace.
when the project is handed off, have the recipient enable the "Import Workspace from Projects" option in order to get the column layout (Window>Workspaces), then move the panels around as desired.

  • X11 Preferences Output 256 colors

I have an application which requires running X11 with 256 colors. When
I select 256 colors and restart X all X11 applications have no content,
i.e., there is nothing displayed in an xterm or any other X11 application.
I saw a question similar to this on another Apple Forum but the issue
was not resolved. Has anyone found a solution to this problem and if so
where may I find the solution? I know other users running the same application
with prior versions of the OS and they have no problems. Apparently the
problem is specific to X and Leopard. I have already installed X11-2.1.4 but
this did not solve the problem.
    Thanks.

  • Color  for a Field in alv output

    Hi All,
I use a field in the ALV grid output which needs to display color (red or green) depending on certain validations. Please tell me how to display color for this field. The program uses oops.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    1. add one more field to ur final internal table say COLOR(4)
    2. in layout wa_layout-style_fname = 'COLOR'. " if its grid
wa_layout-style_fieldname = 'COLOR'. "if its list
    3. read table itab index 3.
    itab-color = 'C410'.
    modify itab index 3
    4. see program SHOWCOLO for all color codes
    1. Add a field of data type CHAR(3) to the internal output table.
    2. Enter the color code in the appropriate field of the row to be colored in the internal
    output table:
    Code: 'Cxy'
C = Color (all codes begin with 'C')
    x = color number ('1' - '9')
    y = highlight ('0' = off, '1' = on)
    3. Assign the internal output table color code field name to the IS_LAYOUT importing
structure IS_LAYOUT-INFO_FIELDNAME field and pass this structure in the ALV call
    interface.
To enable row coloring, you should add an additional field to your list data table. It should be of character type and length at least 4. This field will contain the color code for the row. So, let’s modify declaration of our list data table “gt_list”.
you should fill the color code to this field. Its format will be the same as explained before at section C.6.3. But how will ALV Grid know that you have loaded the color data for the row to this field. So, you make it know this by passing the name of the field containing color codes to the field “INFO_FNAME” of the layout structure.
    e.g.
    ps_layout-info_fname = <field_name_containing_color_codes>. “e.g. ‘ROWCOLOR’
You can fill that field anytime during execution. But, of course, due to the flow logic of screens, it will be reflected to your list display as soon as an ALV refresh occurs.
You can color an entire row as described in the next section. However, this method is less time consuming.
    Coloring Individual Cells
This is the last point about coloring procedures for the ALV Grid. The procedure is similar to coloring an entire row. However, since an individual cell can be addressed with two parameters we will need something more. What is meant by “more” is a table type structure to be included into the structure of the list data table. It seems strange, because including it will make our list data structure deep. But anyhow ALV Grid control handles this.
The structure that should be included must be of type “LVC_T_SCOL”. If you want to color the entire row, this inner table should contain only one row with field “fname” is set to space, some color value at field “col”, “0” or “1” at fields “int” (intensified) and “inv” (inverse).
If you want to color individual cells, then for each cell column, append a line to this inner table which also contains the column name at field “fname”. It is obvious that you can color an entire column by filling this inner table with a row for that column for each row in the list data table.
    Reward points if useful

  • Color Space Management & Final Color Output-not WYSIWYG?

I have constantly had problems with getting final output color to match what i am seeing on my monitors when color correcting. This has been a continual problem mainly with R3d footage and going to Prores...but for the sake of this discussion here is my prime example:
Start a new project in PrPro and clor from PrPro adding effects, 3 way color, 3rd party effects like Finesse and Colorista...then output the project to Tiff for master then convert from Tiff sequence to Prorest; H264 or anything else....But, when i output a prores file, and then open the prores file on its own--not brining it back into Premier...i notice a shift in colors....completely desaturated etc...this happens whehter i choose for gamma as "auto" or "none" when choosing codec settings for prores. I've had this continual problem for many years and the ONLY way i have found it to work is by using Apple's Color and then going to Prores....seems apple hardware and software work well together...but this cannot be an isolated incident with me only...AND coloring a project on your desktop and putting all that work into it and seeing it DIFFERENT at the end of the day is more than a let down...
...so maybe a discussion on properly setting a project for color work is in order...I came across another forum members website reToolednet and he had some great info on setting up the sequence timeline and video preview area that is great info...but even when i do that i cannot get a perfect match at the end of the output....Exapmples below all done in PrPro and then output to Prores 4444.
I've found info on Adobe site that does not seem current about setting project settings and color space, but no place in PrPro do i find that setting...is this only AE?  OR...can we even do a proper color job within PrPr?  or should that be done elsewhere?
Id like to go through the proper steps of setting workspace and color schemes for say a Prores output since that is likely 75% to 90% of everyone's deliverables in the tv realm....
Snapsot of Tiff sequence WITHIN PrPro (colored)
Final Output from PrPro to Prores--snap from actual QT prores file--(Desaturated)
When i began this project i had my sequence settings to R3d 1080p @ 29.97 and video previews to Iframe....
**NOW, i think i would have been better off to change video preview to my final output of Prores 4444...BUT, i tried that and still see a color shift.
**Note, i oriingally colored this on 5.5 with Matrox out to my color corrected monitors....and results on those monitors DO and WILL be diffrent than what you see on your computer screen....my monitors were set to rec709 and RGB at end of the line for viewing....but i see nothing within PrPro on how to set this....however at end of the day i do not get what i see on my preview monitors....

Thanks Jim....yes, i'm covered on all cc monitors and quite used ot viewing output on color calibrated...as well viewing both on the same platform/monitor....The BIG question is PrPr being able to do color work---and my question is why would it have all the color effects if it did not?  But i agree with you....first place to start is can you do proper color work on PrPr AT ALL?  no problem to do a quick web video...but can you properly color a for television product---I seem to think NO....i could not get colors in end to match....i can view out on PrPr view my I/O box (Matrox MXO2) and see great colors that i colored the project on to my FSI color corrected monitor....but then when i view the ProRes file back (not on PrPro)...but on it's own with its own codec engine...this is where things go awry and stray from colors i originally put on the images...
But this is a PARAMOUNT subject as Pr is offering coloring....i hate to bring this in, but in FCP i can get accurate colors on my Matrox and same when rendered out to Prores file....Again, i think Apple plays well with apple.....but as you say, there are a great number of varialbes involved in the preferences etc...within PrPr...seems to me AE may be better just by reading about it...but why not both?

    Hi Satya,
    Try this .

  • [solved]pacman output piped to grep with color result?

Hi.  Thanks for reading. I am looking for a command with the following function:
    1. It searches only the pacakge name, not the description.
    2. However, when a package's name matches the search pattern, it shows the description of this package as well.
After searching in the forum, now I am using something like:
    pacman -Ss test_string | grep --color=always -B1 -v '^ ' | less -R
It works nicely in terms of my two requirements. However, I could not get the color output (I have pacman color option) from pacaman even if I used less.
On the contrary, the following command has normal color output
    ls --color | grep test_string | less -R
    Did I do anything wrong?
    Thanks...

Yes, you are not using expac.
    expac -S '%r/%n\n %d' python
    extra/python
Next generation of the python high-level scripting language
    community/pypy3
A Python3 implementation written in Python, JIT enabled
Note that it will match provides as well as the package name.
Sidenote: kittypack will 'soon' have this feature too, but it uses https://archlinux.org/packages so it is independent of the status of your sync db.
Sorry I am confused... I know expac but it doesn't look like the function I was looking for... I wanted to search those packages whose *name* contains a string. For example the pypy3 is not what I wanted since it only has "python" in its description...

  • Pantone color bars in PDF output

Does anyone knows how to get in PDF output Pantone color bars? When you check "color bars" in "marks" menu in PDF output and save your work as PDF, you'll get CMYK color bars even if there's no CMYK color at all. I don't want to draw swatches and fill them with Pantone color to get those color bars. Any idea pls.? Is it possible at all?

Hello, I don't know the right answer.
I look also for a solution and have the same question as you "Does anyone knows how to get in PDF output Pantone color bars? I have CMYK colors and two Pantone colors and need to know if it's possible to get in PDF output Pantone color bars (I do save as from Illustrator). And if yes, then what should I do to get this Pantone color bar in my PDF?

  • Color Management Trouble! HP, Lion, CS5 ***!

    Hey there,
I've spent the last 6 hours on and off the phone with HP tech support, which is blaming Mac OS Lion and Adobe Creative Suite 5 for the crappy color management that I'm getting out of a new HP Laserjet CP5225.
Can anyone give me some tips to improve my color output?
I can print the same color to a Canon Pixma Pro, a small cheap Epson RGB printer, and an HP Indigo Digital Press, but it comes out too dark and lacking yellow in the mix via printing on the mac.
I have had more problems with color management in my Macs than I had in 15 years of owning PCs. I figure that the solution is probably more complex, with the driver, the Color Sync "utility," and Adobe all getting in the mix to screw up the reliable output of color.
Any tips would be very much appreciated.
HP suggests that I give up the idea of being able to print in CMYK and just try to convert and print everything using an RGB color profile.
I have been writing down settings, changing one at a time, and printing a sample... and so forth... since 3:30 p.m. this afternoon -- and no luck... Good color seems impossible to achieve.
Should I just send back the printer tomorrow and give up now? I just went through a terrible experience with a Konica Minolta Grafx, so maybe I should cut my losses quick on this one.
Any help or suggestions would be terrific.
