Output convertions to PDF
Dear Experts, Can any bady let me know
how to identify the existing outputs whether the PDF convertions logis is incorporated or not.
we have n number of output types for shipment, in that very fery few is sending through PDF format.... now i want identify those output types.
can you please share your views on the same soon....

As you said i searched all the shipment output types and releated programes , no one is having the Convert_otf
but
we have CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_COMM_TYPE_DATA' in the all programes.

Following is the procedure to convert alv output to spool and then it to PDF Format.
After we display the ALV, we can check whether it is running in the background using system field u2018sy-batchu2018. Then,we call an function module named u2018GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFOu2019 to get the current job information. Then go to spool request table tbtcp to get the spool id.

Report output to convert to pdf and mail it to recepient

I'm using the below coding for converting the output of the program to pdf and then mail it to the recepient.The coding works for background processsing only can i do the same for online.In the write statement i'm using the sy-repid my program name and when i get the pdf mail i'm getting the name of the program but instead i need to get the output of my program.Can any one help me in correcting the coding to get the output in pdf format.I know where i'm going wrong but this is the first time i'm working with this so new to this....It would be better if i could run the program and get the convertions into pdf through mail instead of background processing.....Please change the coding below to get the same.....

Output of RFC needs to be converted into PDF format
Hi Experts,
In the ESS screen, we have to provide one link for every employee. When the user will click on the link, one letter in PDF format should be displayed to the user. This PDF will act as a "Address Certificate". The address certificate will contain information related with name, address, passport details etc. How we can achieve this?
In my view, we will have to create one Z-RFC. The ABAPer will create the Z-RFC. Now the input for the Z RFC will be employee no. The output will be Name, Address and Passport details.
The information provided in table format needs to be converted into PDF form. How we can do so? What all services needs to be activated for this?

When you say the ESS screen, what do you mean by this is it ECC side or in Portal Side.
It its in Portal side then, I think you need to create a WebDynpro application which display output through ADOBE forms. For that you need to have basic WebDynpro knowledge.
Apart from that ADS needs to be configured. There are sevrel tutorial available in SDN. For creating a WebDynpro Application with Adobe Interactive forms.

Select the actual video with the Touchup Object tool, righ-click, save to disk. Depending oin the specifics of the PDF fiel this may not work, though.

Error in converting a pdf document to a Word document
I have Adobe Acrobat 6 running under Win XP.
My Panasonic Lumix camera manual is a pdf file that I wish to place on my Kindle 4. I copied the pdf file across but, although Kindle is supposed to be able to handle pdf files, it wouldn't with this one - it simply froze when I opened it in the Kindle. I therefore decided to convert the pdf file to a Word document file and email it to Amazon for a free conversion to a Kindle azw file. I attempted to use Save As in Acrobat to save the pdf file as a doc file but, after a few pages, I got the error message:
Bad pdf; could not read page structure. <Bad pdf; error in processing fonts: cannot find CMap resource file> [26-27].For what it's worth I pulled in some of the product line's user guide PDFs. Those I looked over were authored with FrameMaker or InDesign.
As these both support solid PDF output and from a quick look-see I'd not attribute the core issue to a poorly created PDF.
With that said; two things are evident. They are not Tagged and, with the heavy graphics content, of a healthy file size.
Tagged PDF is more than a little important as this is what provides the essential ingredient for export of PDF content (retaining font info, format, layout, etc.).
A healthy file size associated with the significant graphics content means that what is "under the hood" of the computer in use is significant as export puts a load on these resources.
Example: A local machine having integrated graphics is hard pressed compared to a local machine having a dedicated graphics card with a comfortable amount of onboard RAM.
Due to "design" improvements over the years Acrobat X does a much better job of "export"/"save as" for untagged PDF.
But, "export"/"save as" of a well-formed Tagged PDF trumps.

Logo not printing properly in Invoice converted to PDF and emailed
Hello,
I am having a problem with a programming issue and have searched lots of forums but have found no solutions. We are on 4.7 and are not likely to upgrade any time soon. Therefore, I don't think any of the newer solutions are gonna work for me. I believe that I'm stuck using a couple of function modules to get t he job done. I am attempting to modify our Invoice Print program (uses SAPscript, not SmartForms) to have the output converted into a PDF file and then attached to an email that is then sent to the customer. Everything is working fine except for the company logo. It has been uploaded via SE78. It is a 24-bit bitmap file. I have played around with the DPI to have it appear correctly on the form. I added a FM GUI_DOWNLOAD step to verify that it is saved to my hard drive correctly. The PDF file saved t o my hard drive appears normally in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. So the problem occurs sometime after that. I have a routine wherein I convert is from 132 to 255 bytes. I then use FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send it. When I swap the customer's email address to my own personal external emal address, the resultant email has an attached PDF file but the company logo is garbage. The top portion of the logo looks good and then at some point in the lower portion is appears as squiggly lines. This is not acceptable, of course. I have included the relevent code below:

I hav gone through your code ... I have one Question why you are changing from 132 to 255.inside your program
if there is a purpose then , please can you change your company logo Image size accordingly and uploaded it into SAP mime repository using se78.then your program let it convert from 132 to 255. definely you will see some change's in the Logo,then keep on adjusting you can acheive you result.
sometime the Image size also plays major role ,which we need to modify the sizes of image.

How do I convert a pdf to a fillable word document
I am having difficulty converting a pdf to fillable word document. The fonts change from line to line and it isn't lining up.
Adobe Reader cannot export PDF page content so you must be using one of Adobe's online subscription services.
Perhaps ExportPDF or PDF Pack.
The export is of the page content. However, PDF (the file format / technology) has no "style", "formats", etc. -- PDF is not a word processing file format.
So, the software does the best it can with what it is provided.
Thing is "export" is impact very much by what created the PDF and how the PDF was made (the "under the hood" stuff).
GIGO is operative and the output pretty much identifies the caliber of the input (what is "under the hood").
Good to know is that for optimal export one wants a well-formed Tagged PDF (an ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1 compliant PDF).
Two key design considerations of "Tagged" PDF are "accessible" PDF and export of PDF page content.
What to do?
Once you have the output Word file you will have to perform requisite cleanup. Then rebuild form field using Word's tools.

i was informed i need to purchase standard 11 or standard 12 from adobe in order to make files converted from pdf to word using the recently bought and installed adobe pdf exporter file. how/where do i do this?
Currently the Acrobat version is "XI" (no "12").
With Acrobat XI installed:
"File - Save As Other" --- from here you pick the supported file format for the export.
If a PDF has content that is the output of a scanner then that output (as is the case for All scanners' output) is a picture of text and not real text.
During an export all that can be processed is the picture. As a picture of text is not text it is understandable why Word (or other word processors) cannot edit the content.
So, for such, prior to export run Acrobat's OCR and save.
The export will be of the OCR content.
Do expect to do clean of the text, spelling, punctuation, layout etc.
This may be minor. This may be major. But, there will be some.
Adobe as some online subscription services that can take a "proper" PDF (NOT all are eh) and export to supported file formats.
Two are "ExportPDF" and "PDF Pack".

Converting RGB PDF to CMYK PDF
I'm looking for a way to convert RGB PDF's to CMYK PDF for printing purposes. The RGB PDF is created by an online Flash application and I'm hoping to convert the file using Acrobat via Command line. I have tried a couple of programs e.g. PStill and PDFcreator but these just don't do the job. It's important to use the command line due to the fact that the conversion must be done automatically on a dedicated server.
Important to know is that the PDF consists of texts and images and gradients. This is a RGB example which I would like to convert. This is the CMYK output I have created manually.
Other solutions next to Acrobat are also welcome as long as they do the jobIn your original message you say "the conversion must be done automatically on a dedicated server" - this implies that Acrobat is being used outside the EULA, which strictly forbids installation as a server process. Acrobat is licensed for individual interactive desktop use by one person, no other deployments are allowed.
You cannot access Acrobat's editing and batch-processing functions from the commandline at all. Adobe has server-based solutions for PDF generation (LiveCycle ES3) but they are extremely expensive and would need work to get them to do what you're looking for. Realistically, your Flash developer needs to recode his app to output in CMYK or you will need third-party software on the server to re-fry the files. I don't know of any off-the-shelf commandline tools which can perform color conversion on existing PDFs. -

that is easy, you only need to keep the steps to do in mind:
1) find a suitable point to place in your code to do all this for you
2) create a FM that will convert your form into PDF (search a little, this has been done like zillion times here)
3) create a FM that will send the PDF stream (hex data which is accepted by the BCS class as the attachment data)
4) check the email customizing in your system
5) run and enjoy
All the parts has been done here many times, shouldn´t be a problem.
