  • IPad2: After upgrad to iOS 8, video output lost left and right side

I have a cable for my iPad2, once plugged in the bottom slot, it outputs video to TV Component port and audio to my amplifier. It's been working for years. After iOS 8 upgrade, I notice the video output lost left and right side. It's like
[before iOS 8]     Apple iPad is a wonderful product for me.
[after upgrade]             iPad is a wonderful product
The "Apple" on the left, and "for me." on the right of screen is gone in output.

  • After iOS 7 sound output is unbalanced left/right

On my GSM iPhone 4, after upgrade music output (left/right) is not balanced. How to fix?

There's a slider to adjust the headphone volume balance under Settings > General > Accessibility (in the 'hearing' section).
I had this problem too and it turns out that my earphones, rather than the phone, are at fault. Try with another pair of earphones, if you have one handy.

  • Audio output doesn't work right. How to fix it?

I plugged my earphones in and noticed that the left side was much louder than the right. I tried different earphones and and it works fine on my iphone so it definately is the plug in of my mac that now doesn't work properly anymore

What did you do, before this happened? Did you install new software? Update the system?
Have you tried to restart the iPhoneor to reset the iPhone? See:   reset your device

  • Airport Express Speaker output very quiet with 60-cycle hum

I've previously hooked up my Airport Express to my stereo system via AirTunes, and it worked fine. But I just moved and set up my home network with my Airport Express connected to the stereo with the mini-stereo adapter. But now, when I play music over AirTunes, I can hear the music very faintly, but it's about the same volume as a 60-cycle electrical interference hum, and definitely not listenable. So I know the music is streaming and the AirPort is receiving, but I'm wondering if it's an electrical problem with the AirPort or output jack, or is there some software or hardware fit I can do myself. I've plugged in & out the cord, it works with an iPod, it's connected to a non-Phono jack of the stereo (AUX port), and I've reset the AirPort Express unit. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hello AOSmith. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
To rule out your stereo or audio cable, try substituting a pair of stereo headphones plugged directly into the AX's audio port. Do you still hear the hum? If so, then the problem is either with the AX itself or the power source is not properly shielded. Try connecting the AX to a known good power strip; one that has surge protection and/or noise cancelling capability would be ideal, and then, plug this into the outlet that you had the AXn connected to. Did this help? If not, then unfortunately, the problem may be with either the AX's audio and/or power circuit.

  • Audio is outputted only through the right speaker. There is no audio from the left one. Can anyone please help?

Whenever i try to play music without the headphones, the audio is outputted through only one speaker.

    Thanks for the info

  • Toshiba 22DV501B SPDIF output too quiet

I recently purchased a Toshiba 22DV501B which I want to plug into my hi fi amp.  I purchased a Cablesson® SAP-3 Digital to Analogue Audio Converter and plugged it in.  It works, but the volume is so low I need to turn my amp right up to hear it.
Is there any way of altering the volume of the SPDIF digital out?
    Cheers

I don't believe that's possible, but I don't have specific information on that model because it appears to be from the UK. This site only officially supports the US region. You might want to contact Toshiba UK.

  • Creative Soundblaster Live! 24-Bit External card - noise in right chan

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->I have a Creative Soundblaster Li've! 24-Bit External card installed on a Dell XPS 40 with 2GB RAM and Windows XP to replace integrated sound that came with the system, a sound problem developed recently that I never noticed before, there is a popping sound in the right channel which isnt loud but noticeable when no other audio is playing, the sound is a fast popping sound like a idling engine, Ive tried updating the Nvidia video drivers, uninstalling software that may have caused conflicts, looking in the bios, I also tried uninstalling the Creative drivers and before installing the drivers again when the system booted and detected the new hardware I could hear the popping noise without any drivers loaded yet, nothing has helped this problem, does anyone have any suggestions of what is causing the noise? Thanks for any helpMessage Edited by Gary040 on -5-2008 07:38 AM

Yes exactly as you mentioned. I have SoundBlaster Li've! 24-Bit Internal and facing the same problem. All is working very good, but only sound in WOW is terrible: it's muffled, degraded and seems to runs only in 22khz.
It is a big irony because i bought this card only for WoW to replace my onboard card and now the old one sounds much better in WoW as the new SB
    Anyone with help?
Now it seems that I return my card like you... and people from creative, think about it! WoW is most played game ever!Message Edited by magnetique on 0-06-2006 :24 AM

  • Speakerphone output too quiet on iPhone 6

I can hardly hear the other side on iPhone 6 when I turn on the speakerphone, even at max volume.

I'm exactly the same. Using the latest app update, and the latest iOS, I can barely hear on my iPhone 6. Looked at every volume setting I can find but nothing has helped.
Googling the problem, it looks like the same thing happened when the iPhone 5 came out and there was a pretty quick response. Now..... not so much....

  • Right transmission medium and communication in output determination

    Hello Gurus,
I defined a new output type for shipping, wrote a requirement, but I don't know which transmission medium should I define in the output type and the right communication definition in the condition records.
I need this output to execute a program that calls a "proxy to file" method (interface).
Each transmission medium I used caused me a dump, so eather the program the ABAPer gave me is wrong, or my definition is wrong.
    Regards,
    Daphna

    Apologies for previous response.
General for these kind of requirement. it could be either 1-Send with periodically scheduled job & 2-Send with job, with additional time specification as Dispatch time with either 5(External Send) or 6(EDI) or 7(simple mail) as Transmission Medium.
Don't forget to maintain relevant communication strategy, say, WEBM-Send external mail in communication method.

  • Right ear in Aurvana in ear headphones quieter than the left

Ok so I've bought my creative Aurvana in ear headphones about three months ago from amazon after much research. The left ear has always been a fair bit louder but I couldn't notice it too much with both plugs in my ears. I know it's not my ears, I tried them in both and it sounds the same. I've tried a set of soundsquared earphones that I also bought at amazon and they are equally loud in both ears so I know it's my MP3 players either(cowon d2 and Zune). The left ear sounds ok but the right earbud violins and singing sounds kind of bright in the high range but it's not as loud either. I know I should of asked earlier but I was thinking it was just the way they were. So my question is, are they defective? I've always kept them clean and dug out microscopic wax with the cleaning tool and have even been trying to dig for stuff that aint there in frustration. Is this loud in left ear and quieter in right normal? Is this just how the headphones are built and it has some purprose to it or did I get a bad one? I wouldn't think that 80 dollar earbuds would be defective.

I have exactly the same problem with these headphones. Exactly the same earphone, and those frequencies. Yes it is absolutely not normal, the headphones are not cheap. Wrote in support, waiting for an answer ...

  • Iphone 5 iOS 7 headphone output problem

    Hi guys,
So the headphone output on my iPhone 5 isn't working properly. There is a lot of background noise and only outputs very quietly on one side. If you start at nothing and slowly turn up the volume then you can hear clear stages and clicks every time you go up by 1. Eventually when you reach the last orange / first red it jumps to an insanely loud level and distorts. The right hand side can be heard very quietly at this point and us distorted as well. Any ideas? The phone is about two a months old and has no visual damage.
    Cheers

  • Front Speakers Do Not Output So

    Hello,
I have the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer sound card, and my speakers are the Logitech z5300e series. I do not know when this happened, but all of a sudden, my front two speakers (of a 5. set) are either outputting very quiet sounds, or none at all. I have tested these speakers elsewhere, and have swapped cables in order to make sure that my speakers were ok. Which, they were, and played the rear speaker output. Anyway, I have fully uninstalled and reinstalled the appropriate drivers several times over, and still no such luck. I have made sure that everything is set to 5., I have messed with SVM, CMSS, etc. The cables are hooked up properly. Also, I find this to be rather odd... My headphones do not work either via the Logitech remote (that's how I have always plugged in my headphones for this particular setup). It doesn't matter if I change it to the "headphones" settings within the "entertainment" section, I still get zero sound.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Bump. Anyone?
And in regards to the headphones - I got it so that it works on the right ear, and not the left. odd.

  • Hdmi output not found under playback in the control panel

I am trying to get sound to go through my tv with my HDMI cable.  I looked in the control panel under sound - playback.  I do not see the option of the hdmi output.  I have right clicked on the speaker and clicked disabled and it still does not come up.
I have idt high definition audio codec driver on my computer.  Is it compatible?
I have also tried to connect an rca cable to the headphone jack and hook it to the tv like that and sound still didn't work?
    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi again tfinley,
It is good to hear back from you!
Since you have updated all of the original drivers on your system, and your notebook still does not display an HDMI audio option, I recommend returning your system back to a previous restore point when this option was available. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).
Should the problem continue, I suggest performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.

  • External monitor shifted to the right

i just got an external monitor (acer v223W) which support max resolution of 1680x1050. but when i try and use xrandr like:
    xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1440x900 --output VGA1 --mode 1680x1050 --right-of LVDS1

    @ewaller
interface is VGA. i have tried changing the H. Position on the monitor to "slide it back" but even when it's completely at 100% on one side i gain back half of the black area. i don't know what else i can change on the monitor that would help me out.
