inputs : cost center ,costelement ,posting date and layout.

I think there is no user exits exists for your requirement for KSB1 TCode, and you need to go for customizing the KSB1 to Z.

Hi Chhayank,
the problem is not the exported xls. If you have a look inside with Notepad or something like that, you will see that your leading zeros are exported correct.Excel-settings occurs this problem, it is all about how to open the document. If you use the import-assistant you will have no problems because there are options available how to handle the different columns.
Another solution might be to get familiar with ABAP2XLS-Project. I got in my mind, that there is a method implemented, that will help you solving this problem. But that is not a five minute job

Submit report using selection-table to report 'RKAEP000'(Tcode ksb1)

Hi,
I am calling report "RKAEP000'(This is the report for tcode KSB1) using submit statement in my program to import the ksb1 output in my program. For time being I am calling this report using selection-set 'variant'.
The selection screen of ksb1 is designed with modulepool program (screen 100).
The selection screen of my program is similar to ksb1 initial screen, except layout option and controlling area is on the screen itself instead of calling it through menu.
Please tell me how to post the selction criteria of my report to the calling program 'RKAEP000'.

Simple report list output sent as attachment thru email

Hi All,
Here's my task : I need to schedule a bi-weekly report that obviously runs in the background and produces output. From that output, I want to capture (with no manual intervention) the list output to an attachment and email a recipient. I've looked over code snippets and understand most of the <b>LIST</b> functions, but most deal with uploading a file from the frontend, which I do not want. Any ideas? Thx in advance.

Hi all,
When I execute a report in background, I get spool. I need to convert the spool to xls format and email through attachment to the user.The xls file should not be saved on local system.
If I use the Spool Recepient tab in SM37 it mails the spool list as .txt file to the mail receipient. But I need to send it as an .xls file.
Can any one help me on this

I'm using the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send xls attachements.
All works fine, the only issue is that in the requirements the attachemnt should have fixed width columns.
I think that is not possible, everyone have done that?
If not there an alternative to the SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1?

Hello,
You can have the fixed width of the colums in excel (No additional spaces in the column) is you use, the seperator between the fields.
For eg : If you are displaying 3 fields in the excel file, say MATNR, WERKS and QUANTITY.
Then you need to
Concatenate matnr
                      werks
                      quantity
into                ls_contents_bin-line
separated by lc_tab.
append ls_contents_bin to lt_contents_bin.
Here lc_tab is the tab seperator to be declared as follows : -
CONSTANTS : lc_tab         TYPE char01     VALUE cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab.
The internal table lt_contents_bin is then passed to the table parameters contents_bin of the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.

Problem in sending mail with a xls attachment

Hi,
I have a problem in a program that I created.
The program sends a email via internet to user with a excel attachment.
In SOST its showing as a file with .xls attachment which opens in MS excel.
But the actual mail which the user gets is a .dat file
what can be the reason

You need to set the DOC_TYPE value to 'XLS' in the packing List header (structure SOPCKLSTI1).
Note: The 'XLS' value isn't listed as a possible value in the domain value list for DOC_TYPE, but it will be allowed.
