Output picture at (x, y) position...

Is it possible in BI Publisher that we can write some text at a specific position in the output, or we can paste a picture at a specific (x, y) coordinate position?

Java doesn't have "built in" support for terminal I/O - too many platform dependent issues. Do a google search for java curses implementations and you might find what you are looking for - here's one

I say the problem is probably noted, and probably will be resolved. Not that i can speak for Apple. I find the "problems" of wallpaper to be pretty minor compared to the advantages of iOS 7. The fun of wallpaper has always been pretty insignificant here.

Is it possible to use cursors and zooming in the plotxy function that outputs pictures?

I use the plot multi xy function in my vi that outputs a picture. And I wonder if it is possible to use cursors and zooming with this output picture?

it is, but not as straightforward as with standard graphs.
As a starting point take a look at the example shipped with LV: Modified Smith Plot with Zooming.vi; you find it in picture examples.

It is possible to include a graphic anywhere in the main window.
You can decide when to print it as a ordinary element,that gives you a solution for the hight position. but the printing of you picture will start directly at the left side of the window.
If you want to place you picture for the example in the middle of the line, you have to save you picture as a text and test to use a paragraph with left and/or right margins.
I dont know if that last solution works, but you could try it.

Is it possible to create a picture with JIMI and output it directly to a web page via servlet? I know how to use JIMI to create an image and save it in a directory, but I want to know if it is posible to output the image to a webpage without saving onto the hard drive, and how can I do it? Thanks

Just redirect your OutputStream to the ServletOutputStream instead of a FileOutputStream. Just remember to set the content-type to "image/gif" or whatever format before you send the image.
In your HTML page you would have <img src="/myApp/imageServlet?image=Person" height="x" width="x">

When you take a picture of yourself (and someone else) - their positions change. I would be on the right of them. When reviewing the picture, their position changes and now I'm on the left...

How do you pull the deleted pictures back to original position?

Recently, I just deleted some of the photo in the iphoto but then I found I want some of them back.

As i understand it, you can only get photos back to your library by putting the photos into camera roll or use photostream.
I am not sure that iphoto is the best way to manage your pictures from if you have your main library on a Mac or PC. i beleive its more for the Ipad user who keeps the files on the Ipad without transfer. This is ok for the happy snapper but not for an enthusiast or above.

$POSITION field prints a character on PDF output

I have a $POSITION field on JFMain page. A subform on Page2 is laid down at the $POSITION field on JFMain. Target output is PDF only. $POSITION field is formatted for No Print, positioned at X=0. When generating preview a $ appears on the left at the margin on the output PDF. This also happens on one other template only a capital M prints instead of a $. The same type subform is on many other templates and it does not occur on those templates. Any ideas on how to correct this are greatly appreciated.

hi Joshua, i would tend to agree with the person on your team that feels it's a font issue. if you're scheduling an export on the server to pdf then that server has to have any fonts used on the reports. there are lots of articles on this process like this one here.
if you export to ms word format in a schedule or publication from the same server you should see the same issue.

How do you get the iPhone 4 camera to take larger pictures?

GSM Model is the AT&T one? Just want to make sure I'm in the right spot. I have an AT&T iPhone 4.
Well I notice that when I take photos and I laod them on my computer to color correct them or whatever, they are a very small size (11x8 @ 72dpi) Obviously when you up the dpi the image gets smaller, in this case when you change the dpi to 300 the picture becomes a 1x2 image. Not suitable for printing at all.
How can I change the output picture settings on the iPhone 4? On my older 3GS model it takes pictures at 28x21@ 72 dpi, and when you up the dpi to 300 it makes it roughly a 4x6. Very suitable for printing a clean picture. There has to be a way to change the settings on the iPhone 4.

I agree with randy something your doing on your computer is compressing the pictures when I open a photo taken with my iPhone 4 its 1936 X 2592 which is a huge photo it only shows me the picture at 33 percent so im not sure what your doing differently my document size is 26 inches by 36 inches if that helps

AAE: how to track eyes to position photos of my face

Hi,
I have been taking photos of my face for already more than two years. Now I am trying to create a short movie with those pictures.
My problem: although I tried to take identical photos I am always positioned a little bit different than the day before.
Until today I used some really basic programs: a foil on my monitor and Paint to move the picture to the right place, Irfanview to trim the pictures and finally Moviemaker to create the movie. You can imagine how much effort it is if you have to deal with more than 800 photos.
That's why I thought I could try it with Adobe After Effects using the tracking function. I already watched several tutorials and read some instructions but because I want to create a movie composed of photos and not movie-clips I didn't find a way how to deal with the problem. My idea was that AAE finds both my eyes, moves the picture to the right position and resizes it if necessary. Finally it should trim all pictures to get a proper shape.
Do you know if that's possible with After Effects or is there another program I should use?

Won't work. you have to do it manually. AE has no way to detect features across temporally and spatially inconsistent data, which a time-lapse sequence is. There are a few experimental programs out there, but they are usually not publicly available and only research. AE can help you with the scaling and warping by using blending modes liek Difference or reducing opacity just as effects like Mesh Warp or Optics Compensation may be useful for correcting intra-image warping and lens distortion, but it would still require a lot of manual work. Likewise, the panorama merge and Merge to HDR in Photoshop could potentially be used to create some baseline layered PSDs with aligned layers, but you will still have to fine tune everything later.

Artifact for Office Picture Manager after install of Office Pro Plus 2013

Upgrading from Office 2003 to Office 2013, with the assumption that the Office 2013 install first removes all previous versions before installing.
For some users, running Windows 7, with Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 and the 2007 compatibility pack installed, after the Office 2013 Pro Plus installer runs, whenever an Office 2013 Access application is launched the user gets a message box as shown
below. None of our Access VBA have Office Picture Manager in the reference list, so it should not be an issue caused by any Access applications.
Since the Office Picture Manager is no longer part of Microsoft Office as of Office 2013, this is a problem. Several workarounds have been posted on several blogs on the Internet for installing Office Picture Manager from an earlier version on a computer
with Office 2013 installed to eliminate the error, which of course assumes that it is desireable to have Office Picture Manager.
My position is that there should be a fix for the orphaned artifacts calling for Office Picture Manager when launching Office 2013 MS Access, that does not involve the installation of a deprecated product. Multiple searches of TechNet come up empty
in that regard.
Is there a fix for this issue forthcoming, or does anyone have an answer that does not involve installing a backrevved Office Picture Manager just to make the error message shut up?
Clean install of the OS is not to be considered a solution. There are too many computers involved to even consider that to be acceptable. I would rather have a registry cleanup script that could be pushed through GPO than to have to go to each
computer and run a FixIt, so please try not to push the FixIt option either...

Always, the in-place upgrade doesn't remove all traces of Office 2003 from your computer, and this will cause unexpected issues for the new Office.
Actually, instead of doing a in-place upgrade, you can perform an
uninstall-upgrade to Office 2013. When uninstall the old version of Office 2003, you can make sure to remove any traces, and then install the new Office 2013.

How to program two layers picture?

Hi,
I want to program a picture in a panel which has a map in the background and position coordinates from a GPS as a figure are updated into the map. Map file format can be e.x. bmp. NI example alphablend with x% transparency is something which I could develop further, but I wonder if there is faster way to do that without re-drawing the whole picture every time a position point figure is added to a map ? The same program has to communicate simultaneously with an instrument for quite intensive amount of measurement values.

When it comes to drawing lines, isn't the canvas control the best choice?
You can make the background transparent and draw lines to show vehicle's path.
But I'm not sure you can make the lines thick enough to be visible over a colorful background like a map.

currently I tried to control a linearmotor using PCI-6052E and PCI-6602.
The questions is, how to use PCI-6602 to be a counter which will be converted to several output (multioutput):
(1) converted to position >> 1count = ...[mm] --> position measurement
(2) converted to voltage >> 1count = ...[mV] or [V] --> voltage measurement
(3) converted to current >> 1count = ...[mA] or [A] --> current measurement
(4) converted to velocity >> 1count = ...[mm/s] --> velocity measurement
(5) converted to acceleration >> 1count = ...[mm/s^2] --> acceleration measurement
(6) converted to force >> 1count = ...[N] or [kg.mm/s^2] --> force/load measurement
(7) converted to frequency >> 1count=...[Hz] --> frequency measurement
(i) Please assist me how to connect the driver's encoder (Ch. A A/ B B/ Z Z/) with PCI-6602, so I can get all informations above (7 measurements). What/which port of PCI-6602 connect to where from the driver.
(ii) Please assist me how to connect the feedback signal to the PC. What/which port of PCI-6602 connect to PC.
(iii) How to test those 7 measurements above using Measuremant and Automation Explorer (MAX) ver.4.4.1?

(1) Principally, I'd like to use PCI-6602 to be a motion encoder also be a counter (Is it possible? Due to the manual, it is possible). I expect to have all information, such as position, time, velocity, etc. from that motion encoder (or at least the position and time). It is also expected of using PCI-6602 to do all measurements that I mentioned before . My meaning is, after having a signal from the counter, that 'count' will be converted to desire units under other programs. So, in this case, PCI-6602 is only used to get the 'count'.
Simplified, the voltage command will send to the system (linear motor) through PCI-6052E (-10V to 10V). The actual position or other actual information will be catched (read) by using PCI-6602 (as a motion encoder, also as a counter). Then, this actual position will be used as a feedback, that will be compared to desired position.
Is that also possible to use PCI-6602 be a motion controller + a counter + a frequency measurement in a same time parallely?
I don't decide yet (I don't know) which acquisition rate will be needed/required, higher is better.
(2) I'd like to apply an adaptive robust controller (yes, it is a closed loop system) under matlab with their feature called Real-Time-Workshop instead of using LV.
(3) Power drive for the linear system will be driven by AC servo drive.
