Output RFQ : Mail Title

Hi all,
I can not manage to set the title of my output ZMAI, which is a mail automatically tigger when the RFQ is saved.
I've already try Messages>Output Control >Message Types > Define Message Types for Request For Quotation > Maintain Message Types for Request For Quotation > Mail Title and text. I enter my text and the title I wish, but it is not working.
I've already read the SAP Note 191470, and find nothing I manage to do in it to solve my issue.
Someone may help me ?

Thanks for your answer. But I'm not able to find the general data tab you are talking about.The closest thing I found is in "Assign Form and Output Program for RFQ".
I look in the customizing, in "Assign Form and Output Program for RFQ". The programe name was ZHA00000R00 (I think it is a specific one), I put SAPMM06E. I find a field Form Routine, I put "TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE" in it, but and I dont' find the field "Replacement of Text Symbol" there.
But now when I create a RFQ, the mail is trigger, but I don't receive any mail (I put my own mail adress in the Vendor data to check the mail). So I look in SOST, and when I go in I got a message : " Express document "Update was terminated" received from author "Mathieu PAINEAU" " and the mail doesn't appear in the list "SAPconnect : Transmission Request".
Before I made the change, the mail was send (but with the wrong title and text). Perhaps there is something else to do ? I continue to look by myself, please if you have other ideas let me know !

Mail Title for Output Type

Hi,
I have created an output type which needs to send the invoice through mail. I have written a custom program to do this. Every thing is working fine. But the problem is with the Mail Title. I mean subject of the mail. I have given -- Invoice &VBRK-VBELN& as the mail title in the outtype definition. It is working fine for all invoice. But when we cancel an invoice and if we try to send the cancelation document, it is not taking the cancelation number as invoice. Inseted it is taking the first invoice number as the invoice number. This problem is only with the subject line of the mail. But the pdf document which actually contains the invoice is showing correct Invoice number and details. Which means there is no problem with the program. And when we try to create an invoice for the cancelled invoice again, at that time the subject doesn't have any invoice number.
Please help me out in solving this problem.

if your mail title is set up to be 'Invoice &VBRK-VBELN&' and is coming out with the wrong number it must be because your program has this other number in VBRK-VBELN! What you could do is change your mail title to use a work variable or field symbol, eg instead of &VBRK-VBELN& use &W_invoice&...then change your program to determine which field has the correct number and move or assign that to your work variable/field symbol, you'll have to search for available variables in your program so that the work variable gets populated properly in each case.

Mail title in output type

When creating Output type (for email), Is there any way we can set Mail Title to pick the value for the relevant run .
eg if PO 1234 is created , then the mail title sould pic up PO <whatever value> and Date ?

PO &EKKO-EBELN* Created on &sy-datum&
Here the problem is PO no not getting generated... date is comming...
When I press F1 on title bix its saying as below...(My understanding is we need to fill this field...)

then evaluated when the document is sent. As a result, the sent
documents can be identified more easily, for example, if you have
specified the document number as a parameter.
If you send faxes via SAPconnect, the title appears in your outbox. If
you print the message, the title appears in the spool list.
Dependencies
Parameters have to be evaluated by a special program with form routine
(Exception: System fields, such as SY-UNAME or SY-DATE). You specify the
program and form routine in the correponding fields in the tab page
General data.

Error while sending PO output through mail in PDF format - Urgent

Dear friends,
Developed program to send sapscript output through mail in pdf format, the program running properly, even function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 returning sy-subrc 0. But the external mail is not going to user lying in SAP outbox with message "Wait for communications service" . SCOT is properly configured, tested mails sending through SAP office.

Try like this and inform me
A cyclic job runs, which processes the messages seen in the SOST queue.
Are you sure it's not the frequency of the cyclic job, rather than the
number of messages in the queue, that you are observing? In messages
that are queued and before the cyclic job runs, "wait for comm. service"
is the normal status.
If you mean that there are always 4 items queued in SOST regardless of
the cyclic send job, then I have no ideas. I would have thought there
was no way to do that.
when the send job runs it just never
picks them up & sends them, while it picks up many others. The send job
is somehow blind to these; no error message occurs. In this case, I
'delete' them from the queue (in SOST) and then 'undelete' (drop down
menu -> /Go to /Deleted Items) them and then re-queue them. THEN they
actually get picked up & sent when the next cyclic send job executes.

Output--- automatic mail is not firing to sold to party.

Dear Gurus,
My client requirement is to sent mail to sold party when saving a sales order.
For this I creted a new output type with following assignments
In General data tab:acess sequence assigned and Access to conditions is checked
In Default values tab: Dispatch time(send immadiately), transmission medium(External send), partner function(Sp
),Communication strategy(CS01) assigned.
In Time tab: no information given
In Storage system tab :Storage mode(print and archive),Document type(SDOORDER) info given.
In Print tab: print parameters(sales org) assigned.
In mail tab: nothing assigned.
In sort order tab:nothing assigned
In mail title and texts: En and DE languages are assigned.
in processing routines: program and form routine is assgned.
in partner functions: External send+ SP is maintained.
and in condtion record maintained in VV11 tcode with details
Partner function and in communication assigned printer and selected check box print immadiately and release after out.
But automatic mail is not firing when saving the sales order, but in change sales order in menu bar selected sales document and issue output to and selected print then mail is firing to the sold to party, pls tell me where i had done the mistake.

Check whether you have maintained the email address in the customer master of Sold to party in the General Data>Address Tab> Under Communication Area??
In the SCOT Transaction, check under SMTP (SMTP Mail Server)-->under INT (Internet) --> an '*' asterisk has been maintained or not.
Check the status of the email output in the Sales Order, is it showing with a green traffic light???
If it is showing with a green traffic light you can manually see the status of the mail mesages in Transaction SOST.(by executing, by putting the Sender Id)
If they have not gone you will be able to see them queued up there.
Select the individual messages and press execute button. By doing this email outputs will be released.
Hope this helps you.
Caution: One word of caution is that SCOT is a very critical transaction. And if you are working on a live server, do not play with it as it controls the entire SAPconnect Administration Nodes.

Output SAP Mail Message - Payer Number and Name

Hi,
I'm trying to set up our sap system to output a message if a sales order goes into credit block. I have all this working and the last part of the request is to include the payer number and name for the sales order on the mail.
I have set up the following against my output
Replacement of Text Symbols
Program: SAPMV45A
Form Routine: TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE
and then I have the following mail title:
Sales Order on Credit Block - PAYER:&XVBAK-KNKLI&
I would like to include the name in this, or in the text for the message but I do not know how to extract this. Any ideas?

Hi Gurus,
Can somebody help us configure the output medium as mail.
We have a requirement where by the user wants to receive the output via mail and in the PDF format.

Create a copy of the print processing program used.
In order to be able to access BOR macros later, include Include <CNTN01> in the processing program.
It is important that the e-mail address of the partner is obtained. You can define this address in an otherwise unused field of the partner master data, for example.
You can use the attached report ZMAILTEST as a reference for generating the receiver and sender objects.
It must be possible to read the e-mail address in the processing program. This procedure depends on the specific application.
Then create a RECIPIENT object with this address. This object is used as a receiver.
You can use the current user for the sender. A RECIPIENT object is also created from him or her.
Enter both these objects in the parameters MAIL_RECIPIENT and MAIL_SENDER of module OPEN_FORM.
So that OPEN_FORM sends a mail, you must also set parameter DEVICE to the value 'MAIL'.
You can enter a specific title for the mail in parameter OPTIONS-TDTITLE.
You can include this solution in medium 8 in the table of the processing programs. The form is specified and formatted as usual. The only difference is that calling module OPEN_FORM is modified.

Problems sending mail-titles of Billing docs to the same Sold-to-party

Problems with mail-titles in sending Billing documents to the same Sold-to-party.
If we send, by using VF04, different Invoices to the same Sold-to-party, we expect in the mail-title not always the last Invoice (XVBRK-VBELN).
Mail-title: Invoice &XVBRK-VBELN& (your ref. &VBRK-BSTNK_VF&)
In transaction SOST we see:
Invoice 900014179 (your ref.)
Invoice 900014179 (your ref.)
The result should be:
Invoice 900014178 (your ref.)
Invoice 900014179 (your ref.)
How can we solve this problem ....

You have this problem sending via external mail? If yes, had collegue with same problem & as I understand here's what was done to solve:
-- in output condition master set dispatch to be via scheduled job (previously had been immed) -- trans VV31 or VV32
-- set up the job itself -- trans VF31
I've not tested myself, but maybe you could try in your dev system to see if it works. Good luck

Hello,
You need to carru out your output configuration for this.
Use tcode, NACE where you can do this centrally.
Select V1 & click on output types above
Select output type MAIL for your requirement & use tranmission medium as simple mail.
After configuring your MP mail partner functions & use of proper output program you will be able to send mail to your party.

Email Address not visible for output device MAIL in created batch job

Issue in ECC6.0: Email Address not visible to display/change for output device MAIL in print parameter of each step in the created batch job.
User wants to periodically receive report file via send to his email, so I create the batch job running report and send the report in pdf file to his email.
Detail in the batch job
1) In print parameter screen of the step in the batch job
-Using output device MAIL (output type ZPDF1)
-inputting email address of receiver in the EMAIL ADDRESS field
2) After the batch job was saved, I tried to display/change the field EMAIL ADDRESS via Tx. SM37, but this field is invisible. The field can not be displayed or changed anymore. I also tried in SM36, but it is for creating new batch job, not changing the existing batch job.
4) User receives email with pdf file from the batch job.
How to change/display the email address of the receiver in the created batch job?
Note that we just changed to use SAP ECC6 from SAP 4.6c. In SAP 4.6c, we can change/display the
Email Address Field via Tx. SM37.

After saving the job if the job has not started then you can follow the below steps to change the Email address.
1. View the job from Txn SM37.
2. check the check box for your job that you want to change and goto menu path "Job->change
3. in the next screen goto "Edit->steps." or press "F6" key
4. place the coursor on the job and goto menu path "Step->change->print specifications.
5. here you can change the email address.
If you are not able change the data then you might not have authorization.

Output through Mail- medium 7

Can somebody help us configure the output medium as mail.
We have a requirement where by the user wants to receive the output via mail and in the PDF format.
Please let us know if there is any standard functionality for this or else

You will have to use medium 5 i.e. external send. SAPConnect needs to be configured by BASIS guys. There is no ABAP work involved. The same output which you are issuing to printer will now be sent as a mail attachment in PDF form to the mail address which is mentioned in the customer master.

Submit a concurrent request with PDF output and while submitting the request, specify the email addresses under options --> Notify the following people.
It sends the output of the concurrent request to user.

Go to Tcode - NACE - Choose V3 - Choose 'output types' on the application toolbar
- select output type - 'double click on mail and texts' at left hand side. See if you can add anything there and checck the mail.
