Output: Send a fax to a predefined fax number, not coming from customer ma

Hi colleagues,
I have the following requirement.
In the delivery a special output should be sent to a FIX FAX numer of a special vendor. This means not to the fax number from the current customer.
Is this possible somehow?
Everything is set up: Output type, determination, printing program and the fax is working already.
But how can I set up the condition record to use a special fax number?
One idea was to use a special partner function with the a partner inside that has the special fax number. Due to different reasons this is not possible...
Any idea?

Dear Jens,
THe issue is you want to send output (Fax) to Vendor (partner) other than your Customer.
For this go to VV21 & enter Customer Code, Partner function & Vendor number is Partner Column. This would ensure that for above Customer the output would go to the Vendor code mentioned in Partner column.
Now Select the line item & Click on Communication button & enter the Output details here...
This would solve your problem.

change access method from berkely to F or G . if you are intrested in Frontend printing , you need not give the IP address of the printer. __default will select the default printer of the Workstation from which GUI is operated.

The fact that the problem only occurs when iphones are texting you leads me to think that iMessage may be the culprit. The fact that it is only iphones using SPRINT however is weird. Try turning imessage off on both yours and your sons phones to see if the problem persists. If it does, it may be a carrier problem.

Can you please provide inputs as to how one can send a PDF document to a FAX server . In my SCOT i have config done for FAX . I am able to send PDF document via e-mail . Wonder how to use FM 'CONVERT_OTF_AND_FAX' for sending fax ? There is a parameter called FAXOPTIONS in export parameter which we need to pass . What all we need to pass in here ? any idea or some other way here?

there is no native support for directly faxing a report. you could e.g. use a fax-software that has a printer-driver that supports this.

Fax number is not picking from the ship to party to send COA

Hello,
To fax COA, output type in delivery is not picking up fax number from customer or from partner function.
Condition records are maintained for partner function ship to party and condition records and output determination procedure is also assigned.
Can anyone guide what is missing to pick up fax number from partner function ship to party or sold to party?

yes it is maintained there for ship to party. my question is at delivery item level, if I select output type and check the communication method for FAX, it is showing blank or sometime wrong fax number.
I am expecting to pick up fax number which is maintained at XD02 for the ship to party by refering condition record vv22. Here, I have maintained fax details in contact person of that parner function in the sales area of customer. Else, you can guide me the right procedure to sent COA fax to recipients.

Exporting Discoverer Worksheet to a predefined Fax layout

We have a requirement to export a Discoverer workbook of contact names and fax numbers into a fax template. i.e. each page of the fax would be addressed and sent to a different row returned by the discoverer report.
This sounds more like a Reports / XML publisher solution to me.
However, anyone done anything like this with Discoverer?

Any Discoverer solution would be based around a script that exported the contact names and fax numbers from Discoverer into an csv or xml file and then used MS Word mail merge or other package to generate and send the fax template.

Today we tried to receive fax but it only showed "fax receive error". Fax test report shows everything is fine (all passed) and we can send fax without problems. What might cause this? Maybe fax number is wrong, but then we shouldnt be able to send it..

I see that you are experiencing issues receiving faxes. I will certainly do my best to help you.
What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dn, HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw, HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225rdn.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
I have provided some steps to try to see if this will help.
You can check the fax number by doing the following:
1. On the product control panel, select Setup button.
2. Select Fax Setup, Basic Setup, Fax Header.
Turn off the Private Receive.
1. On the product control panel, select Setup button.
2. Select Fax Setup, Advanced Setup.
3. Select Private Receive and then select off.
Turn off the Error Correction setting.
1. On the product control panel, press or touch the Setup button.
2. Select Service, and then select Fax Service.
3. Select Error Correction, and then select Off.
Increase the Fax Speed setting.
1. On the product control panel, press or touch the Setup button.
2. Select Fax Setup, and then select Advanced Setup.
3. Select Fax Speed, and then select the correct setting.
Update the printer's firmware if you are still having issues. HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw.
Select your operating system.

What type of connection do you have? (Analogue, DSL, Cable Modem)
Are you using a filter?
Are you using the 2 wire fax cable?
Do you have distinctive ring set up on the line?
Is there any voice mail set up?
Do you have a answering machine? (Where is it connected to)
Where is the fax cable connected to? (modem, wall jack)
Is there a phone also connected the printer?
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
What operating system are you using?

"Let others send fax through this computer" - problem: modem not showing up

I have a macbook that does not have an internal modem for faxing. I am using another networked mac in our office that has an internal modem for faxing. I have set up the printing and fax preferences to "let others send faxes through this computer" on the mac that can fax. It has worked in the past, but this morning when I went to fax from my macbook, I cannot see the modem in the mac that can fax. I have also checked with other macs in the office and they can't see it either. Network is okay, I can access the computer through connect to server, I have repaired permissions, restarted and still no modem showing up or shared printers showing up. I have not updated anything on the mac that can fax. Any ideas?

Strange, not sure why it's not showing up.
Have you confirmed that the fax printer is working on the host Mac? Maybe try turning off the sharing and deleting the existing Fax Printer in the Fax List with /Applications/Utilities/Printer Setup Utility, and creating the Fax Printer again, and turn on sharing again.

The issue is when purchase order made or something a copy of PO need to send as EDI copy by fax to vendors.
and the change required from PI side is
   PI Changes
a.       Remove the split on PI side to only send 1 message per Idoc to the corresponding vendor
                                                              i.      Make the change to pull the recipient from the Idoc control record partner
how we can send a copy of a PO from a FAX Vendor to a 3rd Party vendor via Hubspan.

[Please do not post duplicate questions in the forum.] The Photosmart 7510 only supports eFax, it does not have a phone line connection for a traditional fax. The user manual can be downloaded from HP here.

In FAX & Print of PO attachment not coming

We have designed our own PO Smartform. Whatever doc we are attaching in SC for vendor is going in the email with PO. But when sending the PO by FAX or by Print media, the attachment is not coming.
Any idea how to achieve this.

I want to install HP Laserjet M1217 MFP on Window Server 2012 r2 and Use on windows Fax and Scan utility.
but i think i need modem driver to use on this utility.

Hello Owais Farooq,
The Windows Fax and Scan allow faxing with a Fax modem card installed on your PC, it does not allow using a such with the HP Device.
The HP M1217 allow sending and recieving faxes from the computer through the HP Software , not through the operating system software.
Regardless, the M1217 is compatible with Windows Server 2003 or 2008, it is incompatible with Windows Server 2012, as well any digital fax capabilities as faxing from / to the computer are only supported on a client operating system, not on a server.
For a server only basic print and scan drivers are available as you may find in the user guide of the printer:
