Output source

Hi,
Attached is my diagram. Could you tell me the output impendance of my output source?
My output source is said "current meter" near M1 on the right hand side of the dirgram?
My 6250 impendance is 10Gohm. Why can I just ignore it when I connec ted to this output source impdance of this
digram? Can you explain why I can ignore 10Gohm
I am in a urgent, Many thanks if you reply to me promply.

I'm having the same problem here. I used to have an upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard, and it worked just fine. But for several reasons I decided to run a clean install of SL last week. Since I updated to 10.6.2 the sound output device resets as well. Even after deleting prefs, the problem remains.
So perhaps the problem comes only when you do a clean install of SL and upgrade to 10.6.2??

  • 10.4.7 sound output source is broken

If I go to System Preferences -> Sound -> Sound Effects -> "Play alerts and sound effects through", the pulldown menu is grayed out.
Sometimes applications sounds completely disappear and do not play through the speakers. This happens to Mail and the Finder. I didn't have any problems like this before updating to 10.4.7.
    Is anyone else experiencing this?

I just verified with 10.4.6, and 10.3.9 which I have backups of that you can only have one output source at a time. So that menu in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Audio -> Sound Effects will always be grayed out, and auto update itself when you plug in something or remove something from the sound output port of the Mac. There is another bug that causes some programs to not give audio out in machines like yours and mine. Applications -> Utilities -> Audio Midi setup defaults itself to 96 Hz on machines with SPDIF out after certain updates including 10.4.7. Setting it for 44.1 Hz on Audio Output will fix the audio out problem on many a program and restarting. Sometimes you need to also zap the PRAM:

    Valuable information you add.
This is your problem.  The mechanical switch is stuck.. Do you see a red light when you look in there? SOme do some don't.
You need to use the headphone jack several times in and outt with the intention of flipping the switch.
Some use a a non metal piece to flip the switch manually-  I would recommend caution here.
    Otherwise your best bet

  • BlackMagic Decklink Mini Monitor - how to output Source signal?

    Dear PrP users,
I currently purchased a Blackmagic Decklink Mini Monitor video I/O to use with PP CC and SG CC as well as Da Vinci Resolve 9/10 once I move onto it; nothing too fancy which I'm fine with the kind of grading work I do. I did this so I could have a maximum of 4 computer monitors whilst I grade on my GPU then the additional output for the Director/Client.
However I did not know upon purchase that it only outputs the Canvas/Timeline (Program) from Premiere Pro. Before I would have my big TV output not only the Canvas (Program) but also the Viewer (Source) so I could show the Director/Client a clip from the browser without having to drop it into the timeline. This was a super useful feature and I am hoping to use this to Decklink Mini Monitor through premiere pro (as that is what I do primarily) that will both do Source and Program signals from PP CC. Is there a way to do that? Can it be done?
I will of course go on BlackMagic forums also to find out, but thought I'd try here also just incase.
    Thank you.

You're right, I can output the Source monitor too however it will only output 1080p (I found this out my playing ProRes 1080p through the Source). The material I'm working with is r3d 4k, of which I am working in a 1080p timeline (down scaled and down sampled) which outputs the Program to the Blackmagic DeckLink just fine, when I try to put the same material in a 4k timeline it refuses to play it. Thus, the Browser and conversely the Source monitor has no choice but to output the r3d 4k in its native resolution (unless there is a way to non-destructively output the r3d 4k Source as 1080p also)?
Any solutions? Is it the video card itself (its BlackMagic cheapest model) which limited to 1080p or the TV itself I'm using?
    Thank you for your advice.

  • PLEASE HELP!!what is the function of this keithley output source VI?

i would like to know what does "trigger delay","sour delay","NPLC","arm count" do in this example. Please help!! thanks!!=D!!

I didn't open your example (I'm not at my work computer), but here is an explanation of the terms:
Trigger delay is the amount of time between a DMM being given a command to take a reading, and the actual reading being taken.  Lets say you want to read the voltage on line A exactly one second after the voltage on line B goes above 2V.  You set the DMM for external trigger with line B connected to the external trigger input on the DMM.  THen set Trigger Delay for 1 second.  Then send the command to read the DMM (Read?).  The DMM will become armed (waiting for trigger).  When line B goes above 2V, the DMM will wait one more second, then read line A.  If you don't want to wait to take a reading, set the trigger to immediate.
Sour stands for source.  I've never heard of source delay.
NPLC is the Number of Power Line Cycles.  In the U.S., we use 60Hz power (50Hz in Europe), so one power line cycle is 1/60 seconds.  When setting NPLC, the DMM will take continuous readings for that length of time, then take an average of all the readings and return this value.  Setting NPLC to 10 will make the DMM take readings ofr 10/60, or 1/6 seconds, and return the average of all readings.  How many readings can be taken during that time interval depends on the DMM, the range setting, and the resolution setting.
Not sure about "arm count", but "arm" means that the DMM has been given a command to read but has not yet received the trigger to take the reading.
Reading a DMM through GPIB involves a series of events:  Arming (GPIB command to read or measure), triggering (immediate or delayed, internal or external), measuring (one measurement or several for averaging), then returning the measurement.

  • My Mac is not playing my selected output source

Before i updated i had audio from my mac playing thru my studio monitors. i selected the output device (MPC Renaissance) in system preferences (sounds) only for the audio to continue to play thru the internal speakers. is this some kind of bug or am i just missing something here?. I"ve reinstalled the update. unplugged n plugged hardware. Restarted and still nothing. HELP!

1.Plug in and  remove the headphone.
If you see red light in the headphone port or not, plug the headphone
in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
Try this even if you don’t see the red light.
    2. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222
    3. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the method for:
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    4. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
        Audio Devices window
        Side Bar
        Click the Built-in Output.
Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so,uncheck it.
    Best.

  • Can Labview output source code in text format?

I am trying to file a patent that includes some Labview code. The patent office recommends attaching code (either source code or machine code) to show reduction to practice.
However, it appears that the USPTO only accepts CD-Rs that have ASCII text on them. Is there a way to export Labview source code or machine code (from application builder?) to text?
Does anyone have any advice for dealing with the PTO when Labview code is involved?
    Thanks,
    Casey

I believe this has been done before. I did a quick search on
www.uspto.gov, and found lots of them referencing LabVIEW -- meaning
that LabVIEW was mentioned in the patent, and probably that LV code was
the mentioned embodiment of the patent. I didn't browse all of them to
see if or how they i
ncluded source, but surely you can find a precedent
for including a pdf or rtf with your diagrams.
If you can't find anything else, print your VIs to RTF and see about
    submitting that.

  • Splitting output source of audio and video.

I would like to split the output of my audio and video signals from my ipad.  I have a projector which i want the video signal to be sent to via a cable connection from my ipad with the audio being sent to my amplifier and speakers via apple tv.  I'm basically trying to avoid running a cable from my amplifier to the projector as it is about 30m away.  Is there an app available for this or something simple i'm missing? thanks

    my setup is as follows
    Room 1:
    TV
    Amplifier
    Apple TV
    Surround sound wired to amp
    Room 2
    Projector
Speakers wired to amp in Room 1
I was hoping to sit in Room 2 with my ipad connected to the projector, selecting a movie and getting audio through the wired speakers (streamed to apple tv in Room 1).  Hopefully this makes sense.  I use the AirVideo app at the moment for all my viewing in Room 1.

  • Removing easy connect audio from output sources

I'm not sure where it came from, but I have an option for "easy connect audio" in my sound output settings. For some reason, the computer continuously reverts to this, and even though I've deleted the audio pref. files, it won't seem to go away. Any ideas on how to remove this pesky, non-exsistant speaker?

You probably got easy connect audio from easy connect, a remote desktop application.
The problem is that it's a kernel extension, so you won't just be able to delete it, at least i couldn't locate it.
If you want to delete it, do the following.
    1) get the easy connect install package(search for the easy connect application)
    2) begin the install process, until the part where you have accepted the license agreement
    3) choose custom install
    4) uncheck easy connect
    5) choose a different location for AnteceaAudioDriver, i recommend an empty folder on the desktop.
    6) under the custom install window, the action should now say upgrade under the "Action" header, hit install
    7) On your desktop in the folder you specified for install, you will now find a file called AnteceaAudioDrv.kxt or something similar, DELETE it and your troubles are over!

  • What circumstances cause the phone to prompt user to select from multiple output sources during a call?

I have frequently seen a screen appear that asks if I wasn't to use my acuras "HandsFreeLink" to handle a call or use the phone (and I think it gives one other option but I can't recall what that is).  For some reason, my phone is defaulting to handling all the calls using the phone and will not route the call through the cars Bluetooth link so I can hear it through the cars sound system.

Well, the phone has to be connected via Bluetooth first. If it is connected, and you initiate the call from the phone, it should default to the bluetooth device. If it does not, then there should be a selection on the phone screen labeled "audio devices". This allows you to select how you want to handle the phone call audio. Your bluetooth device should be one of the selections.

  • Direct audio from different applications to different output sources

Hi all.....I'm trying to play a movie in Quicktime on an external monitor while editing in Final Cut Pro. I want the audio from Quicktime to go through my external speakers (connected to the headphone jack) while having the audio from FCP go through the internal speakers on my laptop (Macbook Pro). That way my roommates can watch movies on my laptop through the external monitor while I'm editing, and not have to listen to my FCP audio in the background. Is there any way to do this?

I don't know if they will work, but try WireTap by Ambrosia or Audio Hijack Pro by Rogue Amoeba.

  • Is there a quick way to change audio hardware output?

    Hello,
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface hooked up to my Windows 8 machine. I use it to record vocals in a sound booth. The sound booth is closed off from access to the computer, so I monitor my recordings throught the headphones connected to the Scarlett.
The problem I have is when I edit my files, I want to use my speakers connected to my computer. That is easy enough, I can go to the Audio Hardware settings in Audition and change the ouput from the Scarlett to the speaker output on my computer, but now I have no audio going to the headphones connected to the Scarlett should I need to make a quick re-record. I can output to the speakers directly from the Scarlett but the maximum volume is ridiculously quiet, which means I have to really crank the speakers volume high but if I get any audio through my PC, such as an e-mail alert or an alert sound (which the monitor speakers are also connected to) the volume is super loud.
I was wondering if any one knew of a way I can add a shortcut to the main Audition interface to easily switch between audio output sources?
Or even better would be to have dual audio output sources, so I can monitor on both the Scarlett headphone output and my Speakers attached to my PC.
I hope that makes sense and I would really appreciate any help.
    Thank you
    Mendoza

    Hey, thanks for the ideas.
Yes, I am using Balanced TRS 1/4" connectors from the Focusrite, straight into the speakers. I also tried a pair of unballanced TRS cables and a pair of TRS to XLR connectors just in case it was the connection type causing a problem.
I would rather not use an amplifier between the Focusrite and the speakers. Unfortunately the Focusrite Scarlett is renowned for it's ridiculously low monitor output level, but adding a volume booster like an amp in the middle just seems to be boosting an unecessarily low signal, as can be seen on many forums. Really, the volume from the Focusrite monitor output should not be so low in the 1st place. Even when I connect my iPhone through it's line out connection to my speakers the volume is louder. I thought it was a defective Focusrite unit, so I replaced it but it wasn't, as the replacmenet was the same. However, the recording quality and the mic preamps are superb in the Focusrite, So I really like its recording capability.
The most frustrating thing is that the volume level coming out of my PC (I connect through the SPDIF output to a Cambridge DACmagic DAC and output via RCA interconnects to the speakers) is perfect. Nice, loud and crystal clear. I would much prefer to use this output to the monitor speakers, but then I have no sound to my headphones when I am in the booth. I don't want to connect my headphones to the PC as it is far away and there really is no need as the volume level and latency to the headphones is perfect through the Focusrite, I just need an easy way to either switch output sources in Audition or a way to output playback to both I think.
Thanks again for your help so far.
