Hi Vinay,
Generally all the print programs and output types can be referred in Tcode NACE.
In NACE all the Print Programs and Output types are stored according to there Application.
_Application_         _Description_
CF                     Error Control
CV                     Document Management
E1                     Inbound Delivery
EA                     Purchasing RFQ
EF                     Purchase Order
EL                     Purch. SchAgrRelease
V1                     Sales
V2                     Shipping
V3                     Billing
V5                     Groups
V6                     Handling Units
V7                     Transport
For each Application u have output types.
For an example let u see for Purchase Order (EF)
In NACE Select EF..........Purchase Order. Now click on Output types Push Button on the Application tool bar.
Now u can see all the output types related to that Application.
Output type   Name
AUFB           Dunning Ord Confirm
ERIN           Reminder
MAHN           Dunning
MAIL           New PO printout
NEU           New PO printout
NEUS           New PO printout
Now Select output type NEU.....New PO printout and Double click on Processing Routines . Here u can see the MEDIUM, FORM, PROGRAM, FORM ROUTINE.

  • Printing the form using output type and Standard program

    Hi all,
       I am a beginner on SAP.Now i get a doc for smartforms.
It need to print a form. And need to create a output.I don't know how to create it and how to use it.
And how to use the standard program to print the smartfroms.
Can you give me a thought about that??

    Hi steven,
first u copy the standard form and modify as u required.
    copy the print program.
after that assign modify form to modified print program using NACE transaction code.
NACE->slect application->go with output types->select suitable one->go with processing routines->select medium->provide modified program  name and form name->save the details.
    go for view->go for transport.
go with the appropriate transaction suitable to your application.
and provide one existing record->issue out put->go with print
i think it will useful for you.
    Reward points if useful.
    Thanks,

  • List of script and smart forms(except TNAPR) with output type or print prog

How to find out List of SAP SCRIPT and SMART FORMS (except TNAPR)with output type or print program..I like to chk in output type WMTA  whch form should use.kindly help on this

    Hi
WMTA is special msg and doesn't create any print: so you can't find a sapscript or smartform to link to it.
WMTA is a message for delivery, so you can find it by NACE trx or TNAPR table (It's the same): infact here it can find only all messages of logistic modules (SD & MM).
The routine ENTRY of RLAUTA20 is called by WMTA and creates a Transfer Order (for WM, Warehouse Management, module), so if you need to create a print for that msg you need to change prg RLAUTA20,

  • How to assign output type and trigger printing in ABAP

    hi all,
i have create invoice by using BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE and create header/item text with CREATE_TEXT.
please advise how to assign the output type and trigger immediate printing after this.
    thanks.

    Hi Reetha ,
This is a functional setting  , and should be done by some functional guy. The setting can be done by NACE.
Just follow the path : NACE - > Select V3 for Billing - > Press Output type Button Just above - > Assign Output Type and
then Assign Output program and form in PROCESSING ROUTINE comes into left. Set this output type for immediate print.
Whenever You create a billing document by BAPI with this document type , the print out will be fired immediately.
Hope it will solve your problem.
    Thanks.

  • Develop a form and print program using VBAP, VBAK, MRKT.

I have 2 tables VBAK [fields: VBELN, ERDAT, ERNAM, AUDAT, VBTYP, VKORG] and VBAP [Fields: POSNR, MATNR, CHARG, WAERK] and In output(form) i need the following fields,
    Output table:
    -VBELN
    -ERDAT
    -VKORG
    -POSNR
    -MATNR
-MAKTX <- this field is from table MAKT. (I need the Material descriptions too for all the materials.)
Form Layout should have Header, Logo (SAP ENJOY), Main, Footer.
Problem is that i need footer only after the End of Complete data in Main Window, thats is footer should be placed only in last window. How should i do that ?
Logic which i thot to make the print program is : First declare an internal table itab1 with VBAP, VBAP using the above fields from two tables and fetch the product based on matnr.
declare one internal table itab2 and select the records from the table makt by checking the condition itab1 is not initial.
    sample code.
    IF ITAB1 IS NOT INITIAL.
SELECT FIELD LIST FROM MAKT INTO TABLE ITAB2 WHERE MATNR EQ ITAB1-MATNR.
    ENDIF.
    hope this shuld work. ?????

The print program is used to print forms. The program retieves the necesary data from datbase tables, defines the order of in which text elements are printed, chooses a form for printing and selects an output device and print options.
    Function modules in a printprogram:
    • When you print a form you must used the staments OPEN_FORM and CLOSE_FORM. To combine forms into a single spool request use START_FORM and END_FORM.
    • To print textelements in a form use WRITE_FORM. The order in which the textelements are printed, is determined by the order of the WRITE_FORM statements. Note: for printing lines in the body, you can also use the WRITE_FORM_LINES function module.
    • To transfer control command to a form use CONTROL_FORM.

  • Daily & Monthly Backlog Reports and Printing program

    •     <b>Labeling program for Deliveries</b>: This program picks all deliveries created/updated on the current day, validates them by checking whether they have the required labeling information. If the program finds that the labeling information is missing, it populates WMS structures (header & detail) for further.
    •     <b>Daily & Monthly Backlog Reports and Printing program</b>: This program calls 2 separate reports (Daily & Qtrly. Backlog Reports), based on user selection, and directly prints the reports as well as converts them to PDF format and emails them as attachments to the MD.
              Please provide me the solution.

    For First program :
Use table LIKP (SD Document: Delivery Header Data) & LIPS(item Data) for fetch inf all the data for selected date use field ERZET(Entry time) & ERDAT(Date creation of record) for created deliveries & refer TABLES - CDPOS and CDHDR for modified deliveries
    For Second object:
Call multiple programs by using SUBMIT <program> with selection screen params.
Print as per requirement by passing print parameters to Structure PRI_PARAMS &
       call function 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'
       exporting destination = liprintr
                 mode        = 'CURRENT'
                 no_dialog   = 'X'
       importing out_parameters = pri_params.
*To Convert ABAP List and SAP Script to PDF files use program - "RSTXPDFT4"

  • What are the output type and Tcodes?+

What are the output type and Tcodes?

    hi,
    ex-how to config output type.
You will assign output types using Transaction NACE.
Do the follow steps to assign output type
1)Select Application Type V2 which will have description Shipping.
    2)Click on Output types button.
3)Go to change mode by pressing Ctrl+F4.
4)Select one output type which already exists
    5)Do Copy As(F6)
6)Give your output type against Output Type field.
7)Under General data Tab, Give Program and Form routine and Save the data.
i think it a work of functional guy but at senior level i think it is not a big deal for abaper.
    Check the following documentation
In NACE t-codewe have the application for each one. based on the application output type can be defined, based on output type script and print progrma can be defined.
If suppose data can be read from EDI then we should go for condition records.
So whenever we execute the script first composer checks the output type and then execute the program. in program whenever opn form FM will be populate then script will open first. After that again program till another FM will populate if it then script will populate........like it is cycle proces. Composer does all these things and at last it will submit that output to spool.
    Go to the Transaction NACE.
choose the related sub module.. like billing or shipping
    doubel click on Output Types

Device Types for SAP Output Devices (Detail Information)
    Definition
The device type indicates the type of printer to be addressed. When you define an output device, choose the name of the device type that was defined in the SAP System for your printer model, such as Post2 for a PostScript printer. In the case of frontend printing under Microsoft Windows, you can also use the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN.
The system uses the information in the device type to convert a document from the internal SAP character representation (spool request in OTF or in text format) to a device-specific, print-ready data stream (output request). Since a device type specifies attributes that apply to all devices of a certain model, it can be shared among device definitions. For example, all devices in the SAP spool system that are compatible with Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIID printers would use the HPLJIIID device type.
You should not confuse the device type with the printer driver. The device type is the total of all attributes of an output device that the SAP System must know to control the output device correctly, such as control commands for font selection, page size, character set selection, and so on. These attributes also include the printer driver that SAPscript/Smart Forms (the SAP form processor) should use for this printer. The SAPscript printer driver that is to be used for devices of this type for output formatting is therefore only an attribute that the device type specifies.
How do I choose the correct device type?
    • In most cases, the SAP System already provides the appropriate device type for the printer type for the printer model that you want to use.
These standard device types are completely defined and need no modification or extension before you use them in device definitions.
    • You can also download missing device types from the sapserv server. For a current list of the supported device types, see SAP Note 8928 in the SAP Service Marketplace.
    • Most printers can be controlled using a generic format, such as PostScript. They can be switched to a mode that is compatible with one of the standard printers for which an SAP device type is available. In this case, a supported model is emulated.
    • Almost all printers are delivered with Microsoft Windows printer drivers. The system can control these printers with the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN. The Microsoft Windows spool system then performs the processing of the print data.
    • If the specified device types are not available, and generic device types cannot be used, you must create your own device type or edit a copy of an existing device type. We recommend that only those with specialist knowledge of the SAP Spool System and printer driver code do this. For more information, see Defining a New Device Type .
    Attributes of a Device Type
A device type is distinguished by the attributes listed below. If you change an existing device type or create a new device type, you must change at least some of these attributes.
    • Character set: A character set specifies the codes with which characters must be represented in the print-ready output stream (output request). This code replaces the generic SAP characters set that is used internally by the SAP spool system (spool request).
    • Printer driver: You can specify different printer drivers for printing SAPscript documents and ABAP lists.
    • Print controls: Print controls represent printer operations, such as boldface or changing the font size. These print control are replaced by printer-specific commands during the creation of the output request from a spool request.
    • Formats: Formats specify the format supported by the SAP system. The system differentiates between SAPScript formats (DINA4 and LETTER) and ABAP list formats (X_65_132 = 65 rows/132 columns).
    • Page format: A page format is the interface between a format and SAPscript. It specifies the paper dimensions with which SAPScript can calculate the row and column lengths.
    • Actions: Actions are output device-specific commands that are required for the implementation of a format. The action printer initialization, for example, can contain a printer command with which the number of rows on a page is defined. There is a set of actions for every format supported by a device type.

  • Define Output type and Local destination per user

    Hi Gurus,
Nowadays us have defined Output type by Sales Organiztion/Order Type (S_TCODE = VV11).
Is possible define Output type and Local destination per user?. How to do?.
    thanks and best regards,
    Wilson

    Hi Wilson
As per my understanding of requirement: you want output type and Local destination for each SAP End user (i.e. who is processing sales order) not the customer. If this is the requirement, we have two solution for it:
    1) If for a particular region/sales district customer are contacting to one particular destination, then create access sequence with output type/order type/sales district. Means for one sales district one Local destination. If sales district is big area and you have many local destination with in that, then you can divide it into regions.
    2) Ask your ABAPer to create a Z table and maintain Local destination for all Users. And amend the print program such that before saving the output entry into NAST table, based on SY-UNAME(user's id), fetch the printer (local destination) from Z table and update the NAST table accordingly.
As per my observations, option 2 is simpler and more effective.
