I have a projector and I was looking for an app that would allow output video all the time

The one you are looking at I believe is an older model and does not have very good reviews for working with an AppleTV2 / iPad 2 setup.
Here is the one that has worked for our district:

I can't say if the one you are referring two works or not, however I can say that based on the reviews, it looks like you may run into problems with the $45 version.

    Hello,
My radio station remote connected to my Nano (3rd gen) works fine except for the marking of my favorite stations.
When I hold down the center button to save the station it doesn't work what ever the time I spent to hold the button.

i am  listening to a radio station and the sound keep stopping when i move mouse it comes back on after few minutes it goes off again and i have to move mouse again

  • My iPod Classic (160GB, 2009, 7th Gen.) will NOT output video to the TV.

I hook it up with the Composite AV cable (MC748ZM/A) and set the TV Out to "on", but it won't play.  It just says "Please Connect Video Accessory".  I've actually tried this on two iPods (identical models) and I get the same result on both ipods.  I've tried 3 different TVs as well.  Any suggestions?

Did you change the input on the TV to the appropriate Input Type that matched the A/V Inputs that your iPod was plugged into?

  • Radio remote output

I noticed difference in the output of the sound when connecting the earphone or speaker to the radio remote jack vs to the ipod's stereo minijack directly. Can anyone confirm if this is true & explain why if there's such a different? thanks

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
There may be a slight difference. In general, the dock connector supplies audio at much better quality and is generally louder when compared to the headphone port. This is because the dock connector is commonly used with speakers or similar accessories where good sound quality is important.

  • Question about the "iPod radio remote"

I assume the "radio remote" is the same for every country and is under software control. I want to buy in Canada but use in UK and Canada.
Has anyone got one and seen the RDS work, in the UK almost every FM channel is RDS. Do they have RDS in Canada (Toronto) can anyone confirm?
And of course it says FM so this again I assume no AM, not that I need AM it was just an interest in if it could do it.
What happens about headphones, you can plug a pair into the remote, can you still plug into the bottom of the iPod or does the remote connector get in the way.
What is the story with "line out" I use this all the time as I amp my headphones. So I assume you cant use line out? or is the remote a line out also.
And I assume the remote cable and you headphones act as the aerial, how is the quality? Is it any good indoors, some little FM radios I have used drop to mono indoors. Does this Apple one frop to mono if the signal is weak?
Someone that has one can perhaps answer
    Cheers
    Ray

I can at least answer some of the questions.
The RDS function on this radio/remote is poor in the
UK. You have to set the radio function on the iPod
to "Europe" and when you do this RDS info is not
displayed on almost all radio stations such as
Virgin, XFM, Capital, GLR, etc. It does display on
Radio 2 however. At least, this is my finding. So
it's unpredictable at best. Setting the radio to
"USA" on the iPod increases the likelihood of getting
the RDS to display, but the downside is that you can
then only tune the radio in increments of 2mhz which
is a bit awkward if your looking for 89.1mhz!
There are three settings for the radio which you
choose via the iPod. They are USA/Europe/Japan. No
setting for Canada, although I'm sure you will still
be able to use it over there as I can still use mine
here in the UK even if it's set to USA.
No, there is no AM radio.
You can plug headphones into the remote or the
headphone jack on the iPod, or both at the same time.
I'm not sure I understand your question about the
bottom of the iPod. The radio plugs into the iPod
    via the dock connector.
There is no 'line out' on the iPod. If you mean the
one on the dock, then no you can't use it as you
cannot place the iPod into the dock whilst the
radio/remote is connected as they use the same
    connector.
Yes the cable of the remote acts as the aerial.
Reception is surprisingly good where I am, but it
will of course depend on where you use it. I've
used it indoors without any drop in signal or it
    dropping to mono.
Lastly, you need to update the software for both the
nano or the 5th generation for the radio to work
(after you do this a radio function appears in the
menu), and some users have found that doing this
screws up the iPod. I have mine working on both the
nano and the 5th gen without any problems.
There is a review of the radio/remote here. I like
mine and consider it a worthwhile accessory, but of
course there will be those who disagree.
    iPod
    Radio/Remote Review.
    Thank you for the reply.
Think your right USA or Europe will work in Canada.
Yes I mean the line out via the dock, I just wondered if the remote become a line out socket (I also use a pocket dock for line out for headphone amp as I use a pair of Sennheiser HD600 with my ipod) but of course that is silly becasue you have a volume control on the remote and line out is normaly fixed.
Based on your views I shall get one in March when in Toronto

  • Apple Radio Remote doesn't work with the iPod Touch?!

In the Future it will be possible to use the iPod touch with the radio remote. About a week before on the apple store site the radio remote was supported by the iPod touch.

    Better than the Apple radio/remote.
Works with my (1st gen) iPod Touch.

  • Problems in compatibility of iPod radio remote with iPod classic 160 GB

    Hi all,
I have just bought a iPod classic 160 GB and want to buy a iPod radio remote as well. However, after I have done my research, I find the radio remote is not compatible with iPod classic perfectly…
Do you think it is a good idea for me to wait a new radio remote (maybe) or later Apple will release update?
    Thanks

I use my Radio Remote with a Classic; it does everything that it had with my 5G-Video EXCEPT it will not allow me to set radio stations, either with the Radio Remote's control or the iPod's control.
I have spoken with an iPod specialist (Apple Care) and according to him Apple has acknowleged less than 100% compatibility/functionality with the Radio Remote and the Classics. One of the reasons, he stated, was that several 5G-Video iPods were "getting fried" when the Remote was not fully connected to the docking-port. So Apple has decided to reengineer the port [for better a connection, I gather]. What puzzles me the most about the new generation of iPods is why they were rolled out without warning customers that their Car-Charger, Video Player, dock, AV Cable, or APPLE'S OWN Remote will not play nice with each other!
This go around, it's find out the hard way.

  • Radio remote low volume

I've noticed when earphones are connected to the radio remote the volume is lower than when connected to the jack on the top. I heard it was supposed to be the opposite, if there had to be a difference at all, since the dock output is meant to have more sound quality. Can it have something to do with volume limit settings?
Also, my 5thG 60G ipod is uncapped by gopod. Can the remote act as a capping system and so decrease the volume again when connected?
    Thanks

    Don't know why I didn't try that
    All better now, thanks

  • Can I use non-apple earphones with radio remote?

I have a new Ipod 3g and want to buy the radio remote. Must I use the earbuds supplied with the radio remote or can I use non-apple earbuds and earphones? Will I still get good radio reception with a non-apple earphone?

Yes you can. I use Sennheiser PX100's and they work just fine.
Plug the headphones into the remote rather than the iPod to get the best reception.

  • Radio remote destroyed my Apple Ear Buds

    Hi
I was using my apple ear buds for 4 months now, all he sudden after i got the radio remote, the left ear bud's volume dropped by 2 db, that is allot, not to mention bass frequencies out of phase now.
I can say from 16 years of recording records that the ear buds have been damaged, and i can not see how it was due to excessive volume but something with the remote, or maybe just was a matter of time due to the quality of the materials.
My ear buds, i have ONE question, will apple replace them of they have not a scratch?
    http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/lmaltviewm9394ga.jpg

Apple will replace them if they are still under
    warranty.
    http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/
This is the iPod warranty, not the ear buds.
I wonder how i will have to go about this.

  • Confusion about the Radio

I thought there was supposed to be a radio on my iPod because whenever I go to the Settings and configure the Main Menu, to choose which things will appear on it, I see that there IS a Radio, but when I actually go to Music, it doesn't show up. How do I get it to work?

You need the Apple Radio remote. This connects to the iPod and adds radio functionality. There's no built in radio. You can see the radio remote at this link: iPod Radio Remote

  • Brand new radio remote - only working in left ear

I capitulated and bought the radio remote today. For 5 minutes it worked fine - now sound only comes out of one ear bud. Its not the bud - cos if I plug them directly into the ipod itself rather than the remote there is no problem.
    Anyone else have this problem?

It definitely sounds like just a bad radio remote. Try taking it back and getting it exchanged.
