Outside email with scan to email

I've read previous threads on this one and to no avail I cannot get our copier to send to an email address that is outside the realm of our exchange server. I have the receive connector properly setup as far as I'm aware. Is there something in exchange that
allows different IPs to be accesed through the SMTP? As in gmail/hotmail or something of the sort?

To allow copiers outside our network to send email via our exchange,
we can configure a new receive connector and grant the proper permission for relaying from certain IP addresses:

Use the instructions in the article you asked this question from to change one to a third address(you may be able to append +1 to its username instead) and then change both. You'll need to be able to correctly answer two of the security questions to do this; if you can't, contact Apple through the link in the Additional Information section.

Issues with scan to email

Recently, the email/file server was upgraded to OS X 10.9.1. Since performing this upgrade, 3 of the 4 RICOH MFPs have not been able to scan to email. The SMTP Log shows this error for the non-functioning MFPs: Helo command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname
I attempted to add a Machine Name entry into the DNS for this device, but it made no difference. The thing that is really aggravating about this is that the newest model we have works with no issue.
Models:
Aficio 3045               not scanning to email
2x Aficio MP 4500   not scanning to email
MP C4502                 scanning to email
I would be greatful for any ideas the community might have.

Figured this out. I had to specify the domain name in the MFP settings, rather than allow it to gather from the DHCP.

HT2500 How do I save an email with 400 other emails in it, as a PDF? There is supposed to be a way.

I selected all the emails in a mailbox. Opened a new email, clicked in the body and click edit>append something or other. All the selected emails from the mailbox appeared in the new email. I click print and mail locks up and I have to force quit. It's supposed to open a print dialog box in which I should be able to click PDF in the lower left corner... but I can't get that far. How can I save these emails as a PDF?

try select all, drag to the desktop, with all the emails highlighted, command p, pdf, after they are pdf make a new folder and drag them into the folder
ingnore the above post, I had it out of order.
Try this open the email folder you want to PDF, select all command P save as PDF to desck top, make a new folder, hold command and deselect the files/icons(HD...etc.
Drag all the highlited files into the new folder

How do I send and receive email with my @me email account

I want to drop yahoo as my email provider, so how do I send and receive email using my @me account. Using yahoo, you go to yahoo, then mail and your good to go. I'm not a tech expert and fairly new to apple products and would like the improved security of an apple address.

How to send an email with all previous email addresses attached deleted.

I like to delete all email addresses before I forward them. How do I do that? With Internet Explorer I just highlighted the items and hit the delete button. Nothing seem to work to eliminate unwanted email addresses from being forwarded.

That is a question for whatever you are using for email; Firefox doesn't do email, but it does access webmail services. Also, the service offered by many webmail services may be slightly different for the browser being used, or a preference in that services software might need to be set for the particular browser being used.
The first thing to do is to fix your User Agent string which is reported to every website you visit. It identifies the browser you are using as being Firefox 3.6.18. Your UserAgent string in Firefox is probably messed up by another program that you installed. Some type of "''Search Toolbar"''

Email with attachement - only email arrieves, no attachement ?

hi there,
when i sent out emails (either with standard transaction S00 or with abap) with attachement (pdf, word, etc..........) there are SOME customers which ONLY receive the email without the attachement.
from about 250 mails we send out this way, about 5 or 6 have this strange behaviour.
do you know if some anti-virus-software have problems with email coming directly from sap ?????

When I sync with email with Outlook, the emails I already read in Outlook do not disappear from the iPad.

Here is the scenario:
(1) On the iPad, I read the emails from my Outlook account (not outlook.com).
(2) The iPad shows 5 emails.
(3) When I get back to the office, I read all my eamils in Outlook and the eamils I read in on my iPad earlier appear in my Inbox.
(4) Once again, I read my email on my iPad.
(5) Instead of all the emails I read in using Outlook disappearing, they reamin in my iPad inbox, and the new emails (which I have not yet read in Outlook) are added.
I have an Android table too, and I always see only the emails I have not yet read in using Outlook. Why the difference?
I now have more than 2,000 emails in my iPad inbox, and I would like to delete them all. Do I have to do this one by one?

This serious regression from iOS7 appears to have finally been fixed in 8.2.
Only taken them six months!

HP7520 - Scan to email problel

Hi, I have read many emails about scanning to email issues. I have the same issue as others. The scan to email has worked perfectly fine for months. Now it keeps coming up with the message "unable to connect to wireless services"
I have tried all the suggestions about going the the HP website and entering the 8888 and 8844 codes under my IP address etc etc.
Can someone please send me the email which seems to have sorted out a similar issue for others?

Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand that you are getting a server connection error when trying to scan to email .
I would like to help you with this.
I realise you have already set a manual DNS.
There are two things that I would like to make sure you have done before you reset the printer.
1. Turn off the printer.
Then unplug the power from your router or a minute.
Wait one minute.
Plug the power back into the router.
Turn the printer back on.
When the blue wireless light on the printer stops blinking, try the scan to email.
2. Remove web services.
Touch the ePrint icon in the upper left hand corner of the display.
go into settings, select remove web services.
If you have customised teh printers ePrint address, you will lose the address.
Unfortunately there is no way to recover the email. It will be gone for good.
After removing the web services, you will be sent back to the main screen.
Touch the ePrint icon again and enable the web services.
once the information sheet prints out, go to scan to email.
You will have to set it up again like you did the first time.
Also if you are familiar with your router, double check the following settings.
-Multicasting needs to be turned on
- Bonjour enabled ******** for Airprint
-Mac filtering needs to be turned off
-also make sure your router has current firmware update if
needed
Ports to open are : *** Eprint and Apps
UDP (incoming)Ports
80
443
TCP (outgoing)Ports
5222
5223
Finally, I have sent you the reset via private message. Please ensure the above items have been done/reviewed before resetting the printer. Please read this post by Bob_Headrick, in regards to printer resets.

Scan and email becomes blueish

Hi,
I tried to scan a document and do all the options: send by email, computer, memory card, USB drive. Everything is good (computer, memory card, USB drive) except send by email. The file that I received by email have blueish color when I printed it out. I wonder if this is a problem with my printer or is it because of the intermediaries (HP server?) before it reached my email.

I see that you are having an issue with scans and emails being off colour.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Scan to email on HP x576DW MFP

Hello, need some help with scan to email.
i have set the HP x576DW MFP up , now when i try to scan to email function, one user is not receiving the scan,
we are using smtp 192.168.XXX.XXX this information is correct as i the admin have received the test confirmation email however one of my users will not recieve the test email at all.
also we have a log of the test emails within my SMTP box, i can see that the test confirmation emails for that user in the logs, and they are saying delivered.
we are in an office 365 enviroment, but are using the 192.168.XXX.XXX for SMTP>
im using outlook 2013 and the user is using outlook 2010.
we are using the HP universtal driver PCL6
any suggestions welcome. Thank you.

I would like to help you setup your scan to email. During the profile setup process, you might be asked for SMTP server name, SMTP port number, or authentication information. You can contact the email/Internet service provider or system administrator for the information. SMTP server names and port names are typically easy to find by doing an Internet search. For example, use terms like “gmail smtp server name” or “yahoo smtp server name" to search.

Upon opening the document above, click on Scanning to email (N911g and N911n models that use network connections only), then you will see Mac under Step three: Set up the Scan to Email profile.
