I bought an app, the money disappeared from my card and I downloaded the app (as I had other choice, it downloaded instantly). Now my iTunes says: I have an outstanding balance and I can't download even free stuff... what to do?

No. Only apps purchased from the App Store can be re downloaded for free including updates.

I believe the item will get automatically charged to the credit unless it is an item for which such a payment method is not valid (e.g., a gift card).

You can't gift it, gifting can only be done from within the store, not from within your library.

Expanding on what Tim said to make sure it's clear, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. If Optus is the original carrier, as would seem to be the case, O2 would not be able to unlock it. Only Optus can authorize the unlock, so you'll need to contact them. They say, though, that only the account holder can apply for unlocking, so you might not be able to get it unlocked and will have to work through the person from whom you bought the iPhone.

Long time ago I bought an app on my iphone (typedrawing), last week accidentally i made an upgrade but no a security copy, now I can't find this app, what sould I do???
any know where I can find, or if there is any record of purchased apps? at the downloaded apps section is not, and I really don't want to buy the application again

The app is typedrawing and first i downloaded the free version, then i bought it, but after the upgrade i lost all my apps, pics, videos, etc. I reinstalled all that i could but this app was no there, i know was my fault no make a security copy but i mean it would be possible have a record that i bought this app, oder?

It looked different before I paid for it, then afterward, it described that it's a joke you're paying for. You bought this idiotic app (sorry, no offense, but just reading the description and reviews I cannot believe anyone would spend money on such a thing) iTunes. When you buy via iTunes, the app developer sees none of your payment or personal information - the purchase is processed entirely by Apple and the developer only knows a sale went through (sort of like using Google Checkout with an online vendor - the vendor knows the sale was processed, but never gets access to any of the payment information).
So, the only way this vendor could take money from you is if you entered financial information in the app itself or otherwise sent it directly to the developer.

My app isn't working after I bought it. I start to play, but it exits. Why?

I just bought two apps with a gift card I purchased. They both work dine until I click play. It goes to the loading screen, and then exits the app. I would like to know why, and i it isn't fixed, I would like a refund of five dollars. That was the price of the two games combined. The apps were Five Nights At Freddy's 1 and 2. My iPod is generation 4.

Hello everybody,
I just updated my iPhone 5 (the normal one, no "s" nor "c") from IOS 6.1.4 to IOS 7.0 (no beta version was installed inbetween) and I have discovered that, after the update no app has got access to my photo folder... not even those which had it befor the update.
the thing is that I have no restraint so please don't sell me the old story "go to settings->generals->restraint and allow changes in the section where I can decide which apps can access to my photo folder and which can not because this has already been taken care of... Once clarified that I have no restraint that may prevent my apps to access my photo folder let's go to my question:
the point is that no apps appear in the section Settings->Privacy->Photos where I am supposed to go to switch on the green button that grants to the apps the access to my photo folder... in that menu it just appears the sentence "here go all the apps that my ask permission to access your photos" but after that sentence there is no app requesting access to my photos... the list of apps that was previously there in my IOS 6.1.4 has just disappeared...
At first I had the same problem with the localization services but after resetting the preferences and rebooting the phone the problem solved itself... I have tried it again just in case it might work also on the "photo problem" but with no success...
does anybody has the same problem that I have? How could I solve this inconvenience?

ok, so, quick update to my problem: (I solved it myself)
the Settings->General->Reset->Reset Location & Privacy as said before wasn't working, I tried everything that came to my mind with no success, I got tired of waiting for help and since no body answered my question I suspected that this was a one time problem and that nobody was having it...
I thought it might be because of a corrupt installation of the ios... So I proceded to restore my phone to the backup I made when I first bought it and then I have reinstalled ios7 from scratch...
It worked, now the problem is solved and my phone is working smoothly. I decided to post this just in case somebody would come across the same sort of problem.

Please Help! Can I pay outstanding balance with a gift card?

I've been getting really frustrated with Apple the last day or two, I just can't seem to get a hold of the right person. As I type I'm currently on hold with tech support who's waiting to transfer me to lord knows who.
I had an iTunes outstanding balance of $15.19 and bought a $15 gift card to pay it off. After redeeming the gift card on my iTunes, it shows the credit and the outstanding balance remains unchanged. I thought that it would have automatically gone towards paying the balance.I've tried inputing my credit card info and it keeps telling me that the security code on the back is invalid. Can anybody help me with this cause Apple sure isn't a doing a very good job of it. Thanks!

It should have worked. Contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them.
BTW, there is no telephone support for the iTunes Store, so don't waste any time on hold with Apple tech support; they can't help.

How can I pay off my outstanding balance???

So heres my story, I was dumb and used a pre-paid credit card to buy apps in the app store on my iphone 4. My account now has an outstanding balance of 25.17$ and I was looking for a way to pay it off. If I redeem 3 10$ iTunes gift certificates to my account, will it deduct the amount that i owe then I can have my account back to normal? I would prefer to NOT use a credit card if possible. Thanks

I'm no expert (well this is a user forum!) but if you bought using the credit card (pre-pay or post pay) you will have to pay them.
Apple doesn't run a tab (again as far as I know), they will have charged your credit card company already.
So the credit card will be the one to pay.

Three possible causes:
- You got charged twice. On a computer go to iTunes Store>View Account>Purchase History and see what you got charged for
- Maybe the difference is due to tax. Again the Purchase History will list the total price including tax for each purchase.
- You had a negative balance (you owed money) before you redeemed the card.
