  • How do I recognize an employee for outstanding customer service?

I'd like to thank an employee who helped me extensively with my adroid phone and make sure he gets the appropriate recognition from his peers and supervisors. How do I go about doing that? Thanks,Brenna

I think if you send the details in a private message to  they will be able to pass that along.

  • Terrible customer service after systemboard on T400 died for no apparent reason.

So I hate for my first post to be a negative one, but here goes.
I'm sorry if my actions sound rude or impatient, but I'm sure some of you understand the aggravation and worry that accompanies a computer that suddenly stops working when it is needed.
Warning... here's the abridged version, it will still be long. I have also attached a email I sent to Lenovo websales... it has not gotten a response. So far I have not received parts that were supposed to be shipped. I have been hung up on. I have been interrupted. I have been ignored. I have been told that if I want my product fixed I should upgrade my current existing warranty to an on-site service.
I bought a T400 roughly six months ago. I had minor issues with the sound cutting in and out after waking up from sleep since new. I figured it was probably a driver issue. Never bothered to try and fix it, it wasn't a big deal. Other than that, I loved my T400 and recommended that everybody check out Lenovo if they're in the market for a new laptop. Well... no more. I recently put my T400 to sleep. Left it on my desk and walked away. I came back about 20 minutes later, noticed that all the indicator lights were not lit. Strange... okay. I tried to start it. Nothing. I did a search on google, came up with the procedure to press the buttons to drain the system board. Nothing. Oh no. I immediately call Lenovo since I was going to be returning to classes soon. The phone conversations I had with Lenovo techs were less than stellar. One tech told me he could not ship out the box since the system was down... but he somehow managed to look up my serial number, input my information, and issue a case number. Well... turns out he also closed that case. Since he couldn't ship out a box, I brought it to a local authorized warranty service center.  They told me it would be no problem. I dropped it off first thing in the morning, several hours later, a tech had called to tell me that the systemboard was dead (what I thought) and that he had already placed the order with Lenovo and that the part was in stock and should be in the next day. I wait two days and did not hear anything. I call the shop. They call Lenovo. Apparently the part is now backordered and there is no ETA on when it may be back in stock. They said I should pick up my laptop and send it in. So I pick up my laptop and call Lenovo to try and obtain a box. I spoke to one gentlman who seems to empathize with me. He wanted to speak to a supervisor to see if he could have the case elevated. I was put on hold... several minutes later, I was somehow transferred to another tech. This guy had no idea what was going on, he was less than helpful, and he did not seem to be interested in helping me at all. I finally convinced him to ship me a box. When I got off the phone, I realized I should try and obtain some sort of time frame. I called back. Some women picked up. I explained my situation once again. She told me the part was in stock (not what the store and 2 techs had just told me). So I asked if it could be shipped to the store? "Uh... Well..." *Click* She either hung up or we got disconnected. I waited several minutes for a call back. There was none. So I called again... This employee told me that the part does not have an ETA and he has no idea when it might be back in stock. This gentleman is a little pushy and interupts me a few times, but for the most part seems to want to try and help. I was told that Lenovo would keep my laptop for an indefinite period of time until the part is no longer backordered. That's not what I want to hear. I need my laptop for school and research projects. He tells me that if I want to get my laptop fixed in a timely manner, I should upgrade my warranty service to a better one. This raises flags. Is Lenovo just trying to pocket more of my money? Shouldn't the standard warranty cover this? So I decide to email Lenovo and see if they can shed any light on the situation and offer any alternatives. I have tried twice since last week and gotten no response.
    Here's the email I sent.
    To whom it may concern:
My name is William Xiao. I purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad t400 roughly 6 months ago. The deciding factors in this purchase were all the things I had heard about Thinkpad's excellent reliability, durability, and the outstanding customer service. Unfortunately, none of these have been true in my experience thus far. I had recently put the laptop to sleep. When I came back twenty minutes later, none of the indicator lights were illuminated. The system would not power up. I performed all of the procedures offered by the technical support to completely drain/power down the system board. This did not rectify the situation. When I did call technical support, I do not feel that I was treated with respect. One time I called, the employee was very unenthusiastic to help. The technician was very rude. He frequently interrupted me and did not listen to what I had to say. I asked him to ship a box out. He told me he could not (or would not) do that. He told me to call back the next day with the case number to get somebody else to ship out a box. Or to take it to a repair center. I decided to take it to a local repair center first thing the next morning (Jan 5, 2010). The center assured me that the repair would take no longer than 3 or 4 days. Several days later (Jan 7, 2010), I called to check on the status of the repair. Apparently the system board that was needed was in stock when they ordered it, but became backordered with no ETA on when it might become available again. Unfortunately, I am leaving town to return to college on January 11. The shop suggested that I pick up my laptop and have it shipped to Lenovo. I called Lenovo the evening of January 7th. The first person I spoke to seemed knowledgeable and empathetic to my situation. He looked up the part and said it was out of stock at their depot. I explained to him that I would be returning to school soon and needed my laptop for classes and my research projects. He put me on hold while he went and spoke to a supervisor about escalating the case. For one reason or another, I was transferred to another employee who was not a supervisor. This employee was absolutely clueless about what was going on. His attitude was very poor. He told me that the original case that was opened had been closed on Jan 4 or 5. I had not asked for this case to be closed. When I asked him to to ship a box, he seemed somewhat reluctant to do so. He seemed frustrated when I asked him to have it shipped to a different address. As I said, I would be returning to my school over 200 miles away. I would no longer be able to have the box shipped to my home where I was over winter break. For whatever reason, this employee just did not seem to understand that. I asked if the parts were not in stock, how long would it take to get them in stock and get my laptop repaired. He could offer no answer. I asked him if there was any way this case could be escalated since I cannot be without a computer at school. He told me no. I do not feel that I was treated very respectfully. He told me to call some other department. I asked if I could be transferred. He very reluctantly did so. The other department was closed for the night. I called back to the technical service center in Atlanta, Georgia. This time I spoke to a woman. She told me the parts ARE in stock. I asked if they are in stock, can they be shipped to the store where I was having my computer repaired at. She said "Uh... Well..." and then she either hung up on me or I was disconnected. I waited several minutes for a call back. None was ever received. Thus far, I have been extremely unsatisfied with the customer service that has been offered. I asked if there was any way that a temporary unit could be offered while mine was being repaired since I was told that my laptop would be kept for an indefinite period of time while waiting for the part become available again. Or I asked if they could pull a T400 from the shelves, take the system board out, and use that system board to repair mine. I was interrupted and told no. This seemed to be a common theme: interrupt the customer, do not know what is going on, tell them no to any sort of request. It is interesting that the recording on the telephone says how much Lenovo values customer satisfaction. Well, I am not satisfied at all. This computer is still under warranty. It should not be my responsibility to drive to and from service centers to try and obtain repair. It should not be my responsibility to have to call back whenever somebody decides they do not want to perform a task at that time. Lenovo should be repairing my computer in a timely manner. I was told that if I wanted my computer repaired in a timely manner, I should upgrade my current warranty to a on-site service. I feel that they should be doing whatever is possible in order to best serve the customer. It looks like Lenovo is more concerned with making a fast buck. A computer is very important to my education, as I said, I need it for both classes and research projects. Based on the quality of the product and the customer service that has been offered, I will not be buying any Lenovo product in the future. I was strongly considering purchasing a Edge for both my girlfriend and my mother. And I had previously recommended many people to buy Lenovo after I initially purchased mine. But that is no longer the case. Not only will I likely not be purchasing another Lenovo product, I will warn all of the people I know who are in the market for a new computer to look somewhere else. I really want to like and enjoy my Thinkpad, it is very unfortunate that I cannot and that Lenovo will not do what is necessary to make things right again.
    Your very unsatisfied consumer,
    William Xiao
Any ideas? Any other email addressed I might be able to reach somebody at?
Thanks for reading that mess. I appreciate any input that this forum may have to offer.

As I said (in my overly long post), I had already brought it to a reputable local warranty service center (still about a half hour to forty minute drive each way) after an employee refused to ship out a box (supposedly the system was down, but he looked up my information and was able to both open and close a case without telling me that he was closing it, he told me to call back about it later) because the turnaround time SHOULD have been faster. I was quoted a 3 day turnaround time, 4 days MAX. I dropped it off first thing the morning after I spoke to somebody at Lenovo. Tech took a look at it later that day, before noon, put the order in, called me to let me know that he ordered the part and that it was in stock. He tells me that generally they receive the part the next day. I hadn't heard from the shop in 2 days. So I call. They call Lenovo, part is now on backorder. That's why they told me to ship it. Now I'm dealing with this headache.
I should not have to spend this much time trying to obtain a warranty. The staff has been rude, unhelpful, and uninspiring.
If something is not done to rectify this situation... at least some sort of apology or attempt to make amends, this will certainly be my last Lenovo product. I will not be purchasing a Lenovo for my girlfriend or family members. I cannot in good conscience recommend that others purchase a Lenovo. My faith in the product and in the company has been corrupted. I would hate to have the new motherboard fail unexpectedly and without reason in another 6 months (which would be just after my warranty runs out), but the service provided thus far cannot justify me spending 140 dollars on a on-site service. If things don't take a turn for the better, it would seem that the best option for me may be to sell my once loved T400 when I get it back and buy a new laptop from a company that actually stands behind their product.
I NEED a laptop for school. The turnaround time I was quoted should have my laptop back to me right before school started again. I have been back to school for a week, and after all this time, they cannot even tell me when I might be able to have my laptop back. The staff flat out refused to offer any sort of temporary laptop for me to use while they held mine for an unknown period of time.  I have read of people being offered loaners. They also refused to pull the system board from another T400 because "it will not work." That's just incorrect.
I want to love my Lenovo. I really do.
Edited to add more information. I figured it was better than posting multiple times in a row and cluttering things up.

  • Dan Tull - Awesome Adobe Customer Service

We all take a swipe when customer service anywhere is poor, so I just wanted to highlight the outstanding customer service that Dan Tull at Adobe is putting into people who are having database upgrading issues with LR 1.1. I had a double problem, both with the integrity of my 1.0 database and during the actual upgrade process itself and Dan has personally fixed both of the issues in record time, almost by return of email. My 1.1 is now up and running with my old database intact.
Exceptional service by any standards...thanks Dan, you are a star.
    Steve

Dan's not in customer service. His primary motivation is for users of LR not to need customer service on this issue. You're getting great service from him as a side-effect!

  • Exceptional Customer Service

About 2-3 months ago I upgraded my phone, prior to upgrading phone, I called customer service and asked what was best way to save photos on cell phone so I could easily transfer to new phone, was told to purchase memory chip which I did, received new phone and of course new phone did not recognoze chip since upload was from a different manufacturer on previous cell phone,so I went to the Schaumburgh Illinois office at Higgins and meacham zip code 60173- I was told, needed to back up chip to home computer and then save file, well that did not work, so I went back to store and again they told me to back up file to my computer, they appeared that they could not be bothered with helping me, so I left with the attitude of returning phone and switching carriers,I am a 20 yr customer of verizon and they almost lost a customer due to their unwillingness to assist me. Later that evening I was in the Niles area  9635 n milwaukee niles il 60714 and went into the store and spoke to Michael about my dilema, now I showed up 15 minutes prior to closing and it was a friday nite, I am sure Michael wanted to get home and had plans for the evening, this outstanding employee saved a customer for Verizon, not only did he assist me in my dilema, he backed up my photos from my old cell and then transfered them to my new phone,he didnt have to do it but he did, i was at the store for a half hour and this young man stayed to help me, unbelievable !!!!!!  There is no doubt in my mind Michael is one of your top salesman, and all future upgrades and purchases will be from this store and this young man, I will never stop in the Schaumburg store again, and its literally across the street from where I work.  Thank You again Michael for going above the call of outstanding customer service. Sincerely
    Michael J

it depends on the store.. The store on Vaness ave in San Francisco has the worse service ever.. The Emeryville store is pretty okay depending on who you get.. I have been with this **bleep**ty **bleep** company for over 10 years but I will leave as soon as my contract is up.

  • I am having an issue regarding a placed order via customer service department

I recently relocated to Anchorage Alaska as part of a permanent change of station per the United States Air Force. I was initially located on the East Coast in the lower 48 and at the time of activating my contract I had purchased two separate Iphone 4 devices. I also recently went in to a store in February to purchase a Nexus 7 as well.
Upon arrival in Anchorage I had multiple issues regarding the Iphone 4 devices including being unable to send and receive text messages & imessages, unable to make phone calls, dropped phone calls, unable to utilize GPS, as well as not being able to access general account information and use anything related to web browsing or data usage. It was determined that because the Iphone 4 operates on the 3g network and Verizon does not have a 3g network in Alaska, as a result I was utilizing an extended service network from another carrier. As a result of this I am only able to use my Iphone 4 devices while connected to my wi-fi network while within my home, which is totally unacceptable.
I was not made aware that I would be dealing with this when I moved to Alaska and inquired as the the use of the devices I currently owned prior to purchasing the tablet. I was assured by three separate store employees one of which being a manager that all devices would function at 100% efficiency including the Iphone 4s. In fact I was recently billed 350$ for roaming charges last month, which prompted me to speak with a representative via the online chat regarding the significant increase she said that she was unable to process any sort of credit to the account regardless of what I had been told at a local Verizon store where I purchased the tablet.
As a result of all of these mishaps since arriving here in Alaska I determined I was in need of newer devices that utilize the 4G LTE network currently provided by Verizon in Alaska. I know for a fact that the 4G LTE works great up here because my Nexus 7 tablet runs flawlessly and does not incur roaming charges when utilizing the 4G LTE network.
Yesterday I attempted to contact Verizon through the live chat feature regarding upgrading two of the devices on my account. The live chat representative immediately asked me when my upgrade date was. Upon telling her my upgrade date 9/29/2014 she told me I should contact the customer service department as I might be eligible for an early upgrade. I then proceeded to contact the customer service department using my Iphone 4.
My attempt to speak to anyone in the customer service department resulted in a merry-go-round of being put on hold 6 separate times by two different employees, both of which had me wait for more than an hour while they attempted to speak to a manager to gain approval for an early upgrade. The first rep seemed almost sure she would be able to have my devices upgraded early especially considering the issues I was having regarding service.
The second rep seemed newer and was very dodgy about my questions and was very unwilling to help at first. He even mentioned that I had been a Verizon customer for almost two years, had never missed a single payment and had outstanding account history which should have garnered some sort of importance to the level of my request. But I digress, during this time I was disconnected from the call twice from each separate representative.
Both reps assured me they would call me back, I never did get a call back from either one of those reps and I was becoming very frustrated having waited four hours trying to find some sort of solution to my current predicament.
After waiting an hour for the second representative to call back I grew impatient and contacted the customer service department, was put on hold again, and finally reached a third customer service representative who was able to provide a solution for me.
I explained everything I had been dealing with to Cory ID #  V0PAC61, both regarding the phones, the issue of the level of service I was receiving, the dire need for working devices and the multiple times I had been disconnected. I explained to him as a result of these issues I was certainly considering switching to a different provider, a local provider even who could provide me the adequate service that I require for my mobile devices.
I explained to Cory that I had been with Verizon for almost two years, and I had been on a relatives account prior to owning my own Verizon account and had never received this kind of treatment when trying to work towards a simple solution. Cory proceeded to tell me he needed to put me on hold to see if there was anything that could be done regarding the upgrades of the device considering all of the trouble I had been dealing with.
After Cory reconnected with me in the phone call he was able to successfully reach a solution by allowing me to upgrade my devices. We conversed about the options available and I eventually decided to upgrade both Iphone 4 devices to Moto X devices as we determined those would be sufficient for my needs while in Alaska. I also proceeded to add two Otter Box Defender cases to the order so that the devices would have sufficient protection. Cory inquired as to whether or not I would like to purchase insurance for the phones as well and I opted for the $5.00 monthly insurance which including damage and water protection.
Cory explained to me the grand total for the devices which included an activation fee of $35.00 for each device, $49.99 for each Otter Box case, and an additional $50.00 for each device which would be refunded as a rebate upon receipt of the devices and activation, a rebate that I would be required to submit. Cory explained to me that the devices would most likely arrive Tuesday of 6/17 and no later than Wednesday 6/18.
Cory took my shipping information and told me everything was all set and the only thing left to do was to transfer me to the automated service so that I could accept the 2 year agreement for both devices. I thanked him very much, took his name and ID# so that I might leave positive feedback about his exemplary customer service and was then transferred to the automated service.
Once transferred to the automated service I was then prompted to enter both telephone numbers for the devices that would be upgraded, I was then required to accept the new 2 year agreement for both devices and after doing so I was required to end the call. I did so in an orderly fashion and expected a confirmation # to arrive in my email regarding the placed order.
I have never received a confirmation email. I decided to sleep on it and assumed a confirmation email would be sent sometime tomorrow. Nothing has since been received however. I woke up early this morning around 6AM Alaska time to speak to another live chat representative, Bryan, in the billing department who assured me the order was currently processing and verified the order #. I asked him whether or not it was typical for a customer to not receive a confirmation email for an order placed and he said it can sometimes take up to 2-3 business days. He then stated that he had taken note of the issues I was experiencing and told me he would transfer me to the sales department as they would be able to provide more information regarding the shipment of both devices and a confirmation email, as he stated he did not want me to have to wait any longer than necessary to receive said devices.
I was then transferred to Devon in the sales department via the live chat service where I was then required to repeat everything I had said to both Bryan and the other representatives I had spoken too. After a lengthy discussion and repeating everything I have just wrote he told me the order was indeed processing and that he would send a confirmation email in the next 30 minutes.
That was 2 hours ago. It is now 8am Alaska time and I still have not received a confirmation email regarding my order. I was sent an email by Verizon an hour ago stating I had a device to "discover". The email contained no information regarding the shipment of my device, the order confirmation number, or anything regarding my account. The email I received was a typical spam email asking an individual to check out the current available phones and sign up for a new contract.
All I want is a confirmation email to assure that the devices are being sent. I need my phone for work and to communicate with my family in the lower 48. I desperately need to make sure that the device is in fact being sent to the proper address, this is why a confirmation email of the order is so important. I do not care about the shipping speed I just want what I ask to be taken care of for a change. I would hate to sit here unable to determine what the status of my devices are only for the order to be stuck in "processing" limbo and be unable to receive the devices when I was told they would be sent.
I feel I have been given the run around treatment way more than is typically given with any company when an individual is trying to work towards a solution. I have been patient and cordial with everyone I have spoken with, I have not raised my voice or shown stress or anger towards the situation I have only tried my best to work towards a solution with anyone I have spoken too but I am becoming increasingly frustrated with this situation.
Any help regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. This situation has left a sour taste in my mouth and if the devices were indeed not actually processed in an order, or they were not shipped correctly, or in fact if the order had never existed at all it will only deter me from keeping my Verizon account active and affect my decision to switch to another provider.

Hello APVzW, we absolutely want the best path to resolution. My apologies for multiple attempts of replacing the device. We'd like to verify the order information and see if we can locate the tracking number. Please send a direct message with the order number so we can dive deeper. Here's steps to send a direct message: http://vz.to/1b8XnPy We look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • Customer Service Issue

I just finished speaking with your customer service department and have found myself MORE frustrated then when I called.  I have been a LONG standing Verizon customer (longer then the 2003 that I was told) and have always spoken quite highly about your services until now.
Approximately three months ago we called to upgrade our home internet service and that started the frustration with your teams.  We were told that the service would be an additional $10 per month and we would see that charge after six months.  The first month the bill was wrong. We called and in theory it was straightened out.  We had to call the following month and again were told it was straightened out.  Month three I notice that my bill is astronomical and I call.  Yup straw that broke the camels back.  I call in and explain my frustrations with the first issues and now this HUGE overage in my cell phone bill.  I explain that when I took the phones I was told ANY Verizon phone was free; I was IMMEDIATELY corrected that Verizon land lines were never the case.  Well Verizon that has been your policy however a customers knowledge is usually what the person they signed up with has led them to believe.  If you review the bills you will see that the usage has gone up considerably.  So clearly this was only brought to my attention today since I was under the impression that the increase in my bills was due to the computer line.  Absolutely, my bad for not thoroughly reading the statements and it is my responsibility to review my statements.  Since the bills rarely fluctuate I am among the legions that don't review it.
This morning I went on line when I noticed that I received my bill and gasped.  How could my bill be so much?  It became clear to me when I reviewed it what the problem was.  I asked myself why didn't I receive a call from the company that I have bragged about for their outstanding service to say we noticed your habits have changed and we wanted to review your account with you?  Most companies do this....I work for a bank and we call our customers on a daily basis to touch base with those that have been flagged as changes in their normal habits.......wouldn't my cell phone company do this?
So the first person that I spoke to kept quoting policy when I explained what I was looking for; I told her I was a long standing Verizon customer.  I was frustrated with the bill I just opened since I was under the impression from when I took the phones that Verizon to Verizon (including land lines) were part of the package and I thought my bill was ridiculous and I was looking to change plans and see if there was anything Verizon could do to help me.  While I am sure that the representative was not aware of how she was addressing me I felt as though I was an uneducated individual; policy, policy, policy.  I completely understand that every company has policies and procedures, I am completely aware that I have a responsibility to review my bill on a monthly basis but she truly inflamed me.  Does not the $325 dollars a month that I pay for land line, computer service and cell phones mean anything to Verizon?  Nope.
I asked to speak with a supervisor since I did not want to take my frustrations out on this service representative and I explained this to her.  I told her that while I was positive that she didn't realize it she made me feel as though I was being spoke down to and I didn't appreciate it.  Since I work in a highly regulated industry also (banking) I understand that ALL companies have policies but the truth in the matter was that no one cares to hear that word or not feel as though they've been heard.  I asked to speak with a supervisor.
Audra was the supervisor that came on the line.  I explained to her my frustrations, said I was looking to see what could be done for again here was the litany of my frustrations.  I was told that the POLICY was she could give me $90 towards this overage but Verizon never allowed land lines to be included in their service.  Again I know that now and probably should have known it then and moving forward I'll be sure to ask so many questions that I have the person selling me the service wondering if the sale is really worth it.  I voiced my annoyance (I am annoyed) about policy and the $90; it's truly not the $90 it's how the word policy keeps creeping into the conversation.  It's as though that word can be used as a "shield" to stop a customer's annoyance; it doesn't.  I then asked for the termination without penalty; well if I'm terminating then as a matter of policy she would not give me the $90 credit.  Do you see where this is getting worse?
I then ask for the address to write a formal complaint to and the phone number; as a matter of policy you don't give it out?  Seriously, okay.  I then inform Audra that I will be contacting the FCC to file this complaint also; looking back customer service or the poor service truly isn't in their realm but not giving an address to your own company?  It's a matter of your policy?
I move along to the upgrade in my service and taking the $90 credit since I have two early termination fees; I'm all set.  I do need to go on line and register the 10 phone numbers that I want for friends and family.  I find this strange; you know which numbers I call most frequently; suggestion - with all of the technology that's out there I would think you could do an analysis and send an email to the users about this and ask if this works for them.  Simple customer service.
I say that given the size of the bill I would like to make  arrangements to pay this over two months; I'm told I'll have to call that number.  Really she couldn't transfer me?
So Verizon, we all know that a dissatisfied customer tells 10 people before there was internet and social networking sites.  I'd love a phone call to discuss this message so please feel free to contact me.
    Sincerely,
    Unhappy customer

I am totally guessing that you were calling a VZ landline thinking it was ok to call and not be billed. The literature is very clear it is Mobile 2 mobile or Verizon wireless customers to Verizon wireless customers that you can call without using minutes.
As for Friends and Family. Be happy they are letting you have numbers to call for free. There is no need for them to give you the information. Lets say you have a family plan and they choose all your teenage kids friends and not anyone you want.

  • Awful Customer service and handling of my issues

    Hi,
Not quite sure where to begin but i would like someone to take notice of my concerns as it appears no one in the service center is. I have never received such a poor service and whats worse is that the information i have been given appears to be false.
The issue started over a month, in november my ex partner bought me a brand new laptop from littlewoods, a G505s, the AMD quad core, ati 2GB graphics, supposedly the works, anyways after about a month it got really hot and then eventually the screen went blank and would not show any picture, so i contact Lenovo who arranged to collect the laptop and repair it.
The laptop was received on the 17th of January in germany at there so called repair center, i called them each day to check the status and at first was told to wait the 10 days, then after the 10 days, ui was then told to wait 28 days, then two weeks after the initial contact i was told they would find out how long the parts would take to arrive and so fourth, this went on for weeks. Eventually after nearly four weeks, i was told the parts would take too long and so they would issue me with a returns code if i coudl provide proof of purchase. The problem is the laptop was apresent and my ex girlfreind was not playing ball so thinking that i would have to wait for the laptop to be returned, low and behold i come back from work and there we go, they returned the laptop UNREPAIRED.
I received a document with it saying that they have diganosed the problem as the motherboard being faulty however they have so called resolved this issue by returning the laptop without being repaired, which i did not ask for them to do, i asked for it to be repaired or replaced under the warranty which they are legally obliged to.
When i contacted LENOVO about this, i was put through to a rude senior supervisor who was very rude and unhelpful, stating that i had to provide this and when i tried to explain that i was unsatisfied that it had taken so long for this to get brought to my attention he claimed i was being abusive. I asked for an email address to email into and he refused to provide this, i asked to escalate the call, he refused. I think considering i have worked in customer services for over two years i know how these work and there are complaints procedures in which if a complain is not resolved then it gets escalated if the customer requires this however it appears Lenovo and this so called senior does not feel the same way.
All i want is my laptop replaced or repaired, an email address to send my formal complaint about this member of staff and my outstanding issues resolved, as i was given [email protected]

welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal  if you hear noise then you need to report a phone fault to 151
regardless of which ISP you use apart from cable the engineers will be exactly the same as all the lines are owned by openreach and treat all ISPs exactly the same
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

  • BT Group lack of customer service

I sent the enclosed letter to the chief executive of BT after my recent experience of a fault. I believe that the customer service was appalling, but guess what has happened? the letter was passed to a complaints department and I received a phone call at 2 minutes to eleven on Remembrance Day (!) and when the person called back at my suggestion half an hour later, we had one of those bitterly frustrating conversations where the apology was "I am sorry you feel like that" What I wanted to learn is that somewhere in the system someone is accountable for lash ups like this. is the BT Group so large, so institutionionalised that the individual customer has no genuine come back? Trouble is that there is no alternative to overhead phone lines so BT just sit there in a monopoly position. "Dear Mr. Livingston, I read the Andrew Davidson interview in the Sunday Times (6th November 2011) with growing disbelief. Has the BT Group really no idea how individual customers feel. For an individual customer coming up against the mighty BT Group, there is absolutely no chance whatsoever of customer satisfaction. Take my case: I reported a fault on my telephone line on 31st October and Open Reach are repairing it as I write, eight days later. When I originally reported the fault, I also said that my wife was undergoing chemotherapy and needed to be in daily contact with her chemo nurse and oncologist. I was told we could not be treated as an emergency (the term used was welfare case) because we could divert calls to my mobile. This was irrespective of the fact that I take my mobile with me when I am out on business; consequently, there is no phone at home. On 31st October I received a text saying that the fault would be fixed by 3rd November at 1700. It was not. I was subsequently told by the BT call centre that it was an automatic text that gave a three-day window for the repair, apparently to conform to a BT customer guarantee. On subsequent calls to BT, presumably the same call centre, I was informed: Open Reach were already working on it. It was a difficult repair and would take some time It was an underground repair and therefore was difficult It had nothing to do with BT, as Open Reach was a separate company It was a fault affecting the whole district and would take some time. None of these had any truth whatsoever; as we knew that the 11 houses in our village had working phones and that the fault was in a junction box up a telegraph pole adjoining our house. On 4th November, my wife had an adverse reaction to one of the drugs she was taking but could not do anything about it as I was out of the house with my mobile phone. She was later taken by ambulance to Exeter hospital A&E An Open Reach engineer came on Saturday morning and took 5 minutes to do a temporary fix to get us through until today. When I asked him why it could not have been done on 31st October or 1st November? He said that “he was just the engineer” and that that BT was a separate company and none of their excuses had any truth. I think that what is most frustrating is that we were brazenly lied to, and we have no redress, save making the treatment we have received public. It appears that there is nobody that is accountable, nobody to take responsibility. We cannot ‘vote with our feet’ and change supplier because BT is in a monopoly position with regard to the provision of the hardware certainly in country areas like mine. Finally, it is galling that I pay line rental and option 1 tariff in advance for such an appalling service and will no doubt have to fight with every sinew to get compensation. I wait with interest to see how the buck is passed on this one, and whether you even receive this letter or it is directed back to customer services where I started originally. Yours Faithfully,"

    Good Morning Frankeul,
Sad to say, there is nothing new under the sun.
I reported my phone as totally dead on 1st November. Nothing happened.
On 8th November, I checked the status on the web page and saw it had been resolved that very day and closed. Needless to say, nothing had been resolved. I called the 151 number and had to suffer a recording of 5 minutes, telling me how to check if my phone really was defective. Particularly galling as I gained my first City & Guilds qualification in "Telecommunications, Radio & Line" in 1966.
Returning the the web site, I discovered a new fault ticket had been opened within the past few minutes. Not by me, it hadn't!
The following day, I managed to contcat a human being on the 151 number and had to listen to a poor bloke who had obviously been told "Tell him this or tell him that". (I actually felt sorry for this man).
He told me the fault was somewhere outside my premises. I knew that.
He then told me the engineer was unable to fix the fault. In that case, I said, he must know where the fault lies; where is it?
He said it may be in the junction box outside my house. Well, in order to confirm that, they would need to come to the house and check the junction box and nobody has been near my house.
Aah, said he, they were unable to contact you. Unable to contact me? How did they try to contact me?
"On your land line"! Do you mean the land line that I have reported as defective?
    "Yes!"
    Gold medals for stupidity!
He then told me the fault would be fixed by 14th November. And how does that square with the line "We aim to fix it within 3 working days"? More to the point, why was the original fault report closed.
He said this was done automatically after 72 hours. "Stop telling me lies! It was closed 7 days after being reported, not 72 hours. And I know why. Someone had spotted an fault report that had been open too long. "Close it and open a new one, thus restarting the 3 working days clock".
This person's supervisor rang me back shortly after my call and was apologetic and confirmed the fault is outstanding since 1st November and should be fixed as a matter of priority.
That was on Novemeber 9th. Today, the 12th, I noticed the web page shows that BT "Aim to fix it" by 14th November.
This should come as no surprise to me though. When I moved into this house in 1995, I applied for BT service and it didn't work. An engineer came out and told me it was due to faulty wiring in the road. This was a brand new house on a brand new estate. The wiring had been installed only a matter of weeks earlier. Quality control? They couldn't even say it, let alone practise it!
In 2005 or 2006, BT's latest version of internet services was being rolled out across the UK and my area was one of the first to get it. I applied for a broadband service (about 64K, if I remember rightly). The equipment arrived and the bill was debited with the cost and it didn't work. More than one or two telephone calls to a call centre did nothing to help my mood nor to get the issue fixed. Eventually, an engineer came to the house and said the problem was down to faulty wiring. To be fair to him, he was most diligent and even reported back to me that the problem was caused by a well known faulty trunk between the cabinet at the top of my road and the exchange. He tried to find an alternative working pair but was unsucessful. After writing to the chairman of BT, I was contacted by an excellent customer care person who not only apologised but arranged for me to be paid compensation. And I never did get the broadband service.
Having seen this faulty cable being recently replaced by fibre, I thought I would have another try. The online speed test said I could have up to 32Mbs. Good! I then tried to order and kept getting an error message. This was when I discovered the issue I currently have.
Since reporting the fault, I have used the Contact Us pages and emailed BT 4 times. No response!
What really galls me, beyond the appalling treatment of BT's customers is that, many years ago, I was an engineer in a GPO telephone exchange. When a customer called 151 to report a fault, we would be contacted in the exchange and asked to carry out tests there and then, while the customer was talking to 151. We would determine if the fault was in the exchange or outside. If outside, the appropriate technician would be notified and a visit would be arranged and the fault fixed in quick time. If the fault was within the exchange, we would fix it virtually immediately.
Also, in my past career, I was responsible for a team of engineers who were providing engineering support to BT as one of our customers. Despite the fact we were rolling out a brand new technology at the time (Tetra radio systems), BT were very hard task masters and demanded immediate responses to any faults that cropped up and I was summoned to meet with them at Rugby on more than one occasion to explain matters to them.
It is a pity BT couldn't have learned some lessons from the manner in which we treated them as customers or maybe from the way GPO Telephones used to handle problems.
Needless to say, I shall be writing once again to BT and I shall resurrect my previous issues with BT on my own web pages for the world to read.

  • Complaints Lack of Customer Service and No respons...

    Hi there
I have had very similar experiences. Misold BT Business Line with Braodband speeds. Engineer called and connected to an old second line at the property which would only give me 2 MB.
    Complained - Nothing Happened
BT engineer said that my home line was " pants" as Chesterfield Broadband non existentr suggested I move my Braodband to Sky as they have better speeds and dont drop the connection!!!! I moved my home line to SJKY and guess what he was right!!!!!
Complained again about my Business Line - losing customers - no response
Complained via Twitter - no response only more promises of help.
BT  deceided to  increase my bill for no reason no letter no notoification April 2013 queried bills back to October 2012 - queriied this with Billing Accounts - they said sorry charges put on account in errror. Told Billing they were now in default of contract they cancelled the line said I would receive a refund of the incorrect charges.
Credit bill received  which I assumed was the final bill so cancelled my Direct Debit and then ongoing bills still arriving
Calls  amde to to BT Billing usually answered by Asia or Thailand had no idea of what i was saying most of the time  number of calls in excess of 20  All calls State that account was closed in April and that bills incorrect.
Called again  recently and spoke to Billing they promised to help but said that there were no notes of calls and contacts on system. E mail received from Karen Bernadino as I insisted that she acknowledge my call  -E mail promising to help. no futher mail or phone call despite further e mail chase up requests.
Today -  BT Chat   - waited  20 minutes today no luck -  called BT poptions team suggested I complain at www.bt.com/business complaints - doesnt exist.
At wits end now will write to Chairmain and Onbudsman - BT  have a non existent Customer Service that costs us millions?
Looks as though whatever you do the only way you can get a complaint sorted through BT is to go on this forum to shame them in full view of the general public.
Please can someone help I am not paying Bt any further money as they  jhave been in default of my contract since the Account was opened and further since October 2012 when they decided to increase the charges on  my account for no reason. No other organisation would get away with this invisibility and total lack of accountability.

I'm in the same boat have an outstanding complaint with BT , reported it 7 days ago.  Still nothing from BT.
Even if you do get a reply fromt he customer service team, you can ask agin and you will get something different they have no idea whats happening in the company.
It has to be said I now reckon BT are the worst company for customer service, they make Santander look brilliant.  Never have I encountered such poor customer service from a company that I have from BT.  Just look at the forums they are full of people complaining about the service they dont get.
Good luck in writing to the chairman, I did that too after a couple of days and got an automated reply back, still nothing official from BT.
    They are totally rubbish.

  • Where is the customer service from VZW

Since February 19th I have been trying to Early Edge by eligible phone line and have been unsuccessful through the current day. What I finally got from Verizon Wireless after a 4th visit to the store was that there was a glitch in the Verizon Wireless software that controls validating that a device installment plan has fallen off and it is now eligible to enter a new device installment plan or edge agreement.
First on February 19th they told me it takes 24-48 business hours for the account to update so I got back to the store to find out that I still can't upgrade.  Then they supposedly discovered that I had to wait until the new billing cycle so that was the reason why I couldn’t complete the early upgrade.  The new billing cycle comes and goes as of the 7th and with no luck still not able to early edge because it still shows an outstanding device loan on my account, which was paid off completely on February 19th.  They even confirm it in their system but it wont let them remove it.  Now this is all while the special device that was being held for me (Gold Verizon Note 3) was sold without anyone contacting me to let me know.  This was after they promised to hold it back in February until my new billing cycle, which in theory should have been the date I could complete the early edge agreement.
So the store manager works and finds a store that’s willing to send him a gold note 3 that they have in inventory.  I made customer service over the phone and in the store promise that the device would be held until it could be added to my account.  Because the last time the store made the promise they sold the device and didn’t tell me. They didn’t even give me the courtesy of saying we had to sell it but we will work to have another in for you ASAP.  This is the abbreviated version of my still lingering frustration with Verizon because it is now March 14, 2014; 7 days past the start of my new billing cycle and they still have not fixed the problem.
See below for more details that I sent to one of their customer service representatives via email:
Sent on March 12, 2014 at 11:18 AM
As I told you by phone I have been trying to make the change in device and use the early edge program since February 19th to no avail.  I want to more due diligence from Verizon Wireless when dealing with loyal customers.  You guys use to have a statement of “The First Time You Call It Becomes Our Problem.”  It seems that Verizon Wireless has done away with this mantra and replaced it with “No Matter How Many Times The Customer Comes In or Calls; It Remains the Customers Problem.”  I have physically been into the store 4 times each time spending more than an hour sometimes 2 hours or more trying to find out what was going on with my account.  I see that Verizon Wireless not only has a tendency to bounce its customers around from department to department over the phone but that they also do this to their store employees.  I believe my total years with Verizon Wireless is in excess of 10 as I started with Verizon just after the purchase of Primeco in the Daytona Beach Area.  I have found that as Verizon Wireless grows my experiences have become less and less stellar and more of a pain point.  I am a business and management faculty as well as a college administrator so I spend my days teaching others how to become great entrepreneurs and even greater organizations that serve the greater good.  One of my focuses is on customer services and the relations of the enterprise.  What I see is a company that has grown so big so fast that they have forgotten the cornerstone upon which their success was built.
I hope that my message somehow makes it into a training that Verizon Wireless holds with its employees to remind them that you are a service organization that would not exist without customers.  This means that you return to your original mantra of taking on the responsibility for issues the first time a customer calls and not the 4th or 5th or even after they threatened to pick up the pin and publish journal articles or periodicals about the lax services of an organization to big to fail.  This also means that Verizon Wireless shouldn’t launch a program until they have "within reason" reviewed all possible scenarios.  It would seem that my particular scenario is not one that is so farfetched that it could not have been played out and properly addressed before it ever hit “main street”.
In one of my classes I started teaching Customer Service 3.0 Predictive Services with Drive.  I designed this series to anticipate the customers needs based on recognizable patterns in their behavior.  This is not a new concept its just one that has been revived from the past.  One that Verizon Wireless should actively deploy across its operation. Long-standing customers have certain behavioral trends that can be categorized into a number of vats.  The most important lesson in my most recent interactions with Verizon Wireless that have soured my relationship is that no one within Verizon Wireless is willing to own mistakes until the customer explodes.  A simple phone call well in advance of the 7th of March could have fixed my biggest issue with Verizon Wireless and the local store in Daytona Beach.  A phone that was being held for me was sold and no one bother to call me.  The store made good by calling other locations to find that exact same phone and got it shipped and available on Monday but there is still something fundamentally wrong with not being accountable to the customer. When did this become the rule rather than an unacceptable exception to the rule?  If the district manager was in fact the person that made the decision to pull the phone and sell it to someone else then the district manager should have acted within the acceptable bounds of “Good Customer Service” and personally called the customer.  Our rank within an organization does not negate our responsibilities to admit ownership of our decision(s) even if there are consequences.
I heard that another employee ordered the same phone from a Verizon store in Tampa and had been waiting and apparently they didn’t know whose phone came in. I know that this was a bunch of lip service because the phone that was ordered for me came from within the district and it was setup so that an employee could pick it up the next day and bring it to the store.  I know it was the phone that was meant for me because I was in the store that next day which was the first day we tried to activate the phone and learned that I had to wait until the new billing cycle.  Don’t try and insult a customers intelligence because you only serve to make a mild situation even worse. I was in the store when the the location that had the phone was called and it was staged for pickup by an employee that lived in the area but worked at the Daytona location.  My trust in an organization that would pull such a stunt and think that I would actually believe it drops lower than the approval rating currently held by the US Congress.  Lie to me and our relationship becomes nothing more than a guarded transactional one.
My trust in Verizon Wireless has been destroyed by the actions of a district manager.  It does not matter how much effort the store manager Angel or even yourself have put into making it right the fact still remains there is a fundamental wrong that only the district manager could hope to fix through a written apology.  Because this person elected not to do so my resolve in no longer being a strong promoter of Verizon Wireless among peers and students is gone.  Because I now perceive Verizon Wireless to be disloyal to its customers and unwilling to admit fault.  You cannot offer apologies for the actions of a district manager nor can the store manager.  It would be the equivalent of me denying some student privileges that he/she was promised and passing it off on someone else because I don’t feel I should have to be bothered with it.
It is my hopes that Verizon Wireless returns to its fundamentals of quality customer service not just on the surface but also at the very roots of the organization.  The cost to acquire a new customer is much higher than the cost to retain an existing customer.  There are 112 textbooks that echo this sentiment.
The 112 books was an exaggeration I can only physically put my hand on 13 that are on my bookshelves.

Nicely written, but alas it will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.
The problem here is not the store manager, the district manager or the untrained personnel in the stores. It comes down to supply and demand and the act of securing customers.
You wanted to stay with Verizon, you were willing to purchase another device, the relationship is then you are purchasing goods or services to remain a customer. The snafu is your account was not updated. Then because the people you spoke to did not have an answer for the situation, they lied to you.
Not a good business decision on the face of it, however after being lied to, after having your device sold out from under you, your decision is now to proceed to get that device replaced and remain a customer.
The long tirade you wrote is more effective if you simply cancelled your relationship with Verizon Wireless and show you are a informed consumer via walking to another service who may value your money more. You will note I did not say 'Value You More"  since over the last few years customer services have rapidly declined at Verizon Wireless.
Profits for the shareholders ( yep my wife and I own a load of Verizon stock) and insane payments to the management are now focused on making money over the slight annoyances of a small minority of customers with varied issues.
You see 120 Million customers is what they are looking at. The shear numbers mean a few hundred thousand customers leaving or posting how unhappy they are is minuscule so until that 120 Million drop down to 60 Million or even less Verizon Wireless will not be in any hurry to placate you or 59,000,999 customers until the bottom line is affected.
I hope you actually get your device, I would be very surprised if they tell you another story on Monday  which 100 text books would not have any bearing on taking care of the customers.
Many times people can teach but in real life the world is not a text book. There are no flow charts to handle the scenario that get in the way.
    Good Luck

  • Billing and customer service

This is the second time I will submit this request. I was told that my billing concern was escalated. However, I've had no resolution. I've tried signing with the username and password I registered (daniellebrooks)  with but am taken to the User Profile information page where I am asked to register again! So, I've created another profile (Dbrooks) - Here is my concern: To Whom It May Concern: I am contacting you regarding a billing dispute, but now also, about the customer service I received on June 21st, 2015. I have been a Verizon internet customer since 2012 at the residence of: {edited for privacy}. At the time I initiated service, my monthly fee was $29.99. I paid $30.00 at the end of every month to Verizon through my Bank of America online bill pay. On May 1st, 2015 I moved residences to: {edited for privacy}. I called to transfer service. At that time, I was notified that my monthly fee would go up and that I needed to pay a fee, brining my total balance to $53.88 – I paid this on May 28th. Unfortunately, I was not notified that I would have a new account #, and paid this to my old account using my online banking service. Last week I received an automated message on my voicemail that my service would be shut off due to a balance owed. When I called back, a man informed me that this message was in error, and that my May payment had not yet transferred to my new account and that there was no further balance due at that time.Since then, I have received two very confusing bills – One for my old account {edited for privacy} with a balance of $13.50 and one to my new account {edited for privacy} with a balance of $89.98. I called your customer service yesterday at approximately 4 pm. I was transferred to a young man who stated that my outstanding balance(s) were due to fee increases over the years. I told him that I had never been notified of such increases, thus I continued making consistent payment of $30.00 monthly. I never received notification in writing or per my email. He stated it may be because there was no email on file for me. He suggested this was my fault, was curt, rude and unwilling to explore the root of the balance(s) further. His explanation for the lack of communication is incongruous, as Verizon easily contacted me by phone for a disruption of service noticed and also sent correspondence via 2 recent bills for balance(s) owed. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was then placed on hold for a total of 50 minutes until a “supervisor” by the name of Jose came on the line. I put the word supervisor in quotes, as I have a hard time believing this individual should be given such a title. He quipped at me with the same indecorous tone and language – he stated he could not be of help and that he had no way to look up my previous statements. I responded that that the previous agent had been able to – at that point he receded and asked for my previous account number. After many minutes of silence, I asked him if he was still there. He remarked, “You need to be patient”, for which I replied, “I have been, I was on hold for almost 50 minutes to talk to you and have now been on the phone going on an hour and 5 minutes, with no resolution”. He responded “If you’re busy, call back”. I stated that I wasn’t busy the hour prior, when I made the initial phone call, but that I had to pick up my son from daycare in the coming ½ hour. At that point, I asked to speak to his Supervisor, to which he jibed, “Alright, you have a good day!” and then hung up! I am appalled and disgusted to say the least. At what point did I lose esteem as your customer? Verizon is one of many carriers in my area. How is this treatment justified? At this point, I am asking for a personal response from someone with at least one shred of professionalism – I would like to know that Jose and his counterpart have been talked to directly regarding this matter, and I would like a detailed explanation of how both balances came to be. Once my bill is reconciled and adjusted, I would like personal contact as to the accurate amount owed. At that time, I shall pay in full and will consider whether or not to continue my service. I will also share this encounter with my neighbors and colleagues as I’d hate for any of them to have the same experience. UPDATE: I was just called yesterday and told that my service would be shut off if I didn't pay the $53.99 that I already paid to my old accound on May 28th! How can you help me if you've edited my account information in this post? Can someone please respond purposefully?! I need a phone call from a live person or an email - not this mess on a forum! I'm about to cancel my service and tell my neighbors to do the same! Ridiculous!!!!!!

    Hi Dbrooks,
Your issue has already been escalated from your earlier thread under your original username, HERE.  We have sent you a Private Message about the forum sign-in issue you are reporting.   Please check your Private Message Inbox at the top right of this page. It should look like this -->>

  • Appauling customer services

After being away from home for a few weeks to deal with a loss in the family, i received a telephone call from my broadband provider informing me (for the first time) that the telephone line was due to be disconnected. Unbeknown to me, the funds in that bank account were too low to pay the bill and BT had decided to close the account. BT have my mobile telephone number stored on their database and never had the decency to call me to notify me of the situation. As a BT home landline and BT business broadband customer I am disgusted with the service that has been provided to me. It would seem that BT needs to revaluate it's customer service policy! Upon returning home, i found the letters from BT regarding the matter, and rang up to pay the outstanding balance to resume the service, only to be told that my account had been closed and that I must open a new account. In the mean time my broadband provider has continued to charge me for a service that I have not been able to use. I am currently having issues with the ISP to reconnect the broadband as aparantley the telephone number no longer exists on their database. I am not going to attempt to call the call center, only to speak to someone who not only can't speak "good English" but also has even less empathy for the average customer and a habit of hanging up when unable to deal with your situation. Well done BT, Great job !!!

I understand that what they advised me is correct however I am shocked and appauled at the evedential lack of customer "care".
Were I notified via the mobile telephone number that was stored on BT's database then I would have cleared the outstanding monies owed on the account.
I don't read my bills as I do not use the telephone line for outgoing calls, so have no need to check the balance of the account.
Do you not have to make a "reasonable attempt" to contact the account holder before terminating their service or do you simply disconnect the line of all customers that are seemingly unaware of any arrears on their account. After writing 2 letters, would it not be safe to assume that the customer has not seen the letters (bearing in mind the historical customer relationship).
I feel that my statutory rights have been somewhat overlooked!
I have two letters from BT with my telephone number printed on the paper when the actual fact is that the telephone number issued to me was completely different to the one that I am due to pay for.
Not to mention the frustration caused when trying to re-connect the internet due to having the incorrect telephone number being issued even when assured that this was not the case on a number of seperate telephone conversations.
Firstly O2 assured me that the problem was with BT, and BT assured me that the problem was with the internet service provider.  I had to spend in the region of 2.5 hours on the telephone to both companies trying to get to the bottom of mistakes made by BT. May I inform you that as a businessman, my time is not free!
I urge you to bring this case to the attention of your senior staff and ask that they respond to me personally by the email address used to register this account, and if necessary provide me with the name and address of the company director so that I may make a formal complaint in writing.

  • Verizon FiOS Early Termination Fee and Very Poor Customer Service

I posted this as a reply to an earlier thread... but think it deserves a little more attention....  please read.  Thank you.
Re: Verizon FiOS Early Termination Fee -- Salesman AND Manager lied
    ‎08-09-201402:03 PM
This is one organization that I will never do business with agan. You live and learn these days!!  They are insisting on charging me the early termination fee of $110.00 even though Verizon DOES NOT offer service in the area I am moving to this August.  My conversation with them today started like this:........ I asked if they had service at my new residential address. They indicating they did not and then I was immediately transferred  to their "disconnect" department.   In this "disconnect" department.....  I was told I would have to pay that termination fee anyway regardless of the fact that Verizon does not offer service in that area.  This was stated per someone named "Jay" representing Verizon....  This Jay  would NOT even consider waiving the termination fee at all...  so I asked to speak with his supervisor and got some complete jackass named Freddy who also  tells me I must take the HD Set Top boxes to a "corporate" UPS location and that they will not waive my termination fee just because??   So I asked for his last name... which he did not give me... but did give what he said was his employee ID number.  ( who really knows if that was a legitimate ID number anyway)  So why is it that  they would not  be willing to waive the fee??  For me ...it  is simple to explain..... Because I complained about  it.... that is why!!   Verizon is very wrong here and this "Freddy" character should be immediately fired.  The company's customer service  does need an immediate overhaul....  and this Freddy  guy is playing with the good name of what once was a very reputable company.   However... now.... because Verizon  have no legimate process for immediate or quick complaint resolutions,  they are  quickly becoming a company that many people do not want to do business with anymore.  I had a similar experience with  Verizon Wireless as well;  when I cancelled their service earlier this year..... It is not that the fee that bugs me so much.... even though it makes little sense......It is Verizon's lack of professional customer service and the questionable ethics of many of this company's representatives that has left such a distaste that I will never do business with them anymore.  Just my 2 cents... for what it might be worth.

I have also had horrible service with Verizon customer service and their ETF.  I moved to a new area that Verizon fios does not cover.  When I moved into the new house a few weeks ago, I attempted to cancel their service, but I was told I had to keep it until my phone number was ported to Charter.  I called Verizon to cancel my internet/Fios TV only and they said it would be taken care of.
Charter sent a request to them on 11/24/14 to port my phone number and Verizon denied the request a week later.  I initially thought it was Charter messing up the port but come to find out, it was Verizon.  I called Verizon on 12/08/14 and I was told they denied the port due to an "outstanding" bill.  Well that bill was for the month in advance, which doesn't make sense because I had already canceled the service.  So they were charging me for the phone, internet, and TV at an empty house.  Verizon made me pay the bill so I could get my phone number ported. I paid the fee and they said the the number  was ready to be ported.  On 12/10/14 I received a call from Charter saying Verizon denied the port AGAIN!!!.  So I called Verizon and according to them, Charter never requested the number.  That doesn't make sense because I’m sure Charter is doing everything they can because they aren't being paid until that number gets ported over.
I asked the Verizon agents to give me something in writing so I could put it back on Charter but they refused to do so.  (Charter gave me written proof documenting Verizon denying the port, so I know Verizon was lying.)  So after dealing with Verizon and their laziness I canceled my phone number, which will cause me a lot of heartache in the future.  The agent then asked if I was canceling the FIOS TV and Internet.  I told him it should have already been canceled, but it wasn't.  So they said it will cancel today after they already took my money for the month.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and they agent said, "Why, she wont be able to do anything."  I asked him again and he finally agreed to transfer me over.  After a 10 minute wait a lady named Karyn I believe, answered the phone.  I explained to her how my phone number was not being ported and she said "We don’t block a port, Charter must have messed it up.”  I asked her for written documentation and she refused to provide me with anything.  I explained to her the reason why I had to move into a new house, due to work and my safety and she said, “Well if your military I could help you but I’m sorry I cant.”  She said the only way to get out of paying for the ETF, is if I was deployed over seas fighting a war.  Then she said if someone were to die, she could waive the fee...thats ridiculous.
I asked her if I was going to have to pay for the past few weeks of my service, even though I tried to cancel it and they held up my order and she said, “Ill credit you $11.00.”  Thats nothing when my bill is $150.00 a month.  She did nothing to help even though Verizon dropped the ball on this.  Over all I am very disgusted with the employees and supervision with Verizon and I will most likely never to business with them again, unless they admit their mistakes and make it right.  I have given them thousands of dollars and hours of my time and this is how they repay you.  Oh and by the way, they want me to drive down to the UPS store and return their boxes for them.  So they can inconvenience me further.

  • THEFT, SHODDY SERVICE, WORTHLESS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This odyssey began on Monday, February 7, 2011. I called HP and ordered an power adapter and cord for my PhotoSmart printer. All went well, my order was "confirmed" and I was told I would receive it by February 11th. Thirty minutes later I received an email saying that HP was not able to process my order. I called back about this, the order was redone, long story short, three(3) times I placed the order and it was confirmed over the phone and rejected , via email, all three times.
On the fourth try I was given profuse apologies and told I would be sent the items free of charge. I was then contacted by my credit card company about  a number of charges from HP, $30.14 and $5,00..., I then called HP and was given a 4 hour run around by Parts and Custoomer Service, I was told that the adapter "was" shipped/sent out on the first order, but not the cord. I questioned why I was not informed of this via emal. I was told that "they-Nelson Lopez-Parts" did not know.
I was then told no refund/credit would be issued until the part was returned. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold and "lost". When I recalled I was told it would take 24-48 hours for a representative to get back to me. Meanwhile, now I have  a outstanding bill for $35.00 on my credit card for a duplicate part and I will have to take time and money to send it back to get a refund.
I was going to buy a HP computer this month but due to the terrible ordering and customer service issue will never buy another HP product in life. I consider it theft when you are told no order is made yet money is taken off your credit card.
What do you think? I would be interested in any other non-customer service issues/horror stories regarding HP, it is sad when one spends four hours to clear up an error made for $35.00. The customer service program is a joke. No one can do anything for you, or will do anything.
