OVD Adapter Question using template "OAM/ADAM Adapter with Mapper"

I am creating adapter to ADAM using template "OAM/ADAM Adapter with Mapper" in OVD 11.1.1.7.0 using ODSM.
obpasswordhistory, obpasswordexpirydate, obLoginTrycount and obLockouttime fields are not displayed in OVD. They are present in ADAM instance.
Any thoughts on how to add these missing fields in OVD?

You would need to extend OVD schema as well. You can refer to production documentation

  • Which Adapter to use - HTTP or SOAP Adapter?

    Hi Experts,
The third party system will be sending a standard HTTP request with a standard SOAP envelope containing standard XML.
So in this case what adapter I should use HTTP or SOAP?
What is the difference between these two adapters and in which scenarios this should be used?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The plain HTTP adapter gives application systems the option of communicating with the Integration Engine and exchanging business data using a plain HTTP connection. Depending on the receiver system, outbound messages can be enhanced with certain information.
The SOAP adapter enables you to exchange SOAP messages between remote clients or Web service
servers and the Integration Server or the PCK.
In the SOAP adapter, you can specify security settings to be used to sign/verify the SOAP body.
In addition, you can specify the standard to be used for signing/verifying the SOAP message
whenever Xi need to communicate with any sort of webservice i.e remote applications it uses SOAP adapter..
And XI uses HTTP adapter when you want to post a HTTP request message from a web application to XI.
    HTTP Adapter :
    1) HTTP Adapter is used by extenal systems to connect to Intergartin server using native HTTP Interface
    2) http adapter is a service which is directly connected to integration engine
    SOAP Adapter :
    1)Allows Local Processing in AAE
    2)Exaclty One Operation per Interface
    3)Modules for Receiver Adapter
    With regards,

  • Adapter to use older iPod docking devices with iPod touch?

Turns out that old docking devices that provide power don't work with the iPod Touch. It displays an error message indicating that it can't charge, and you're left running on batteries. I heard that Apple stopped allowing power on the old Firewire pins. Is anyone aware of an adapter that fits between the Touch and the old docking connector to rectify this?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

  • Using Templates/Drafts in Email with Attachments Mac Mail

    Hi,
I am trying to create a standard email that to send to new clients once they sign up. This standard email contains attachments and will need a few customizations (e.g.: Name, ad size, start and end dates, etc).
Is there a way to save a draft email that will not disappear once you send it to someone?
I am aware of saving as stationary, but stationary can't be saved with attachments.
In my previous PC/Outlook world, I would create an email with "_____"s in it to remind me to change these fields for the individual recepient (nothing worse than sending a client information that only pertains to the last client you sent it to). I would then simply open that email and click on the "____"s and fill in the info for the individual I'm sending to.
With Mac Mail and Drafts, I can create a template, but once I send it to someone, it deletes the draft. UGH! So frustrating!
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Mail/Mailbox/New Mailbox - select On My Mac to create the Mailbox. Then drag a copy of the draft there before you send the other one.

  • IPod Power Adapter Question?

Hey well i just bought this ipod power adapter but the thing is that what else do i need because when i try to connected my ipod's 5G charger that came witht the ipod it wont fit but the thing that i want to know what else do i need to use this charger?

when i try to connected my ipod's 5G charger that came witht the ipod it wont fit
Sounds like you purchased the iPod Firewire Power Adapter, instead of the iPod USB Power Adapter.
If you want to keep the power adapter you purchased, you'll need to also get a 6-pin Firewire to Dock Connector cable.
Otherwise, you could return the power adapter you have and exchange it for the USB power adapter and use the cable which came with your iPod.

  • DVI to ADC adapter questions ...

I just purchased a Mac Mini and decided to use my existing (and well loved) Apple display monitor. I read up on what I needed to make this happen. Purchased a used DVI to ADV adapter. The plan was to put the adapter on a switchable power strip and power down the adapter when not in use. The adapter doesn't seem to like that. I have to restart the Mac Mini a couple times in order for the monitor to boot up.
My question is ... Does the power need to remain ON constantly on the DVI to ADV adapter in order for the monitor to fire up the first time? OR am I having issues with the used adapter?
I appreciate the info and suggestions!
    Mike

I believe I have figured out the solution!
It's the order the items are activated.
FIRST I start the Mac Mini ... than I turn the power strip ON for the adapter.
It seems to have fixed the issue!

  • Power adapter questions

    Hi,
I have a "late 2004" 12" G4 ibook and a FW800 15" G4 Powerbook and one single power adapter left (one has stopped working). This is a A1021 65W power adapter. The first question is:
    - can I use this power adapter for both laptop?
I have tried to purchase a second A1021 65W power adapter on ebay. So far I have purchased 2, These are , or they appear to be, genuine Apple A1021, 65W; but the problem is that the connectors, the one with the LED ring, will not fit in either of my laptops. This is the case for both power adapters, bought from different people. I am confused, because the adapter looks a genuine apple A1021, but the connector of mine fits perfectly in both laptop, while the connectors of these 2 don't. I have tried to spot the difference but the 2 connectors really look the same.
Has anyone any knowledge or experience with this type of problems?

    Hi Bendetto,
You can use the 65W power adaptor with both the iBook and the Powerbook.
As long as the adaptor is white, it should fit into the Powerbook or the iBooks you specify. You may find the outer shield of the power adaptor is slightly deformed. Try to make it fit, using gentle force while rotating it. Once you make it fit, it will be fine for the future.

  • Adapter to use 3G with older hardware

I just bought a new car (Aston Martin) and it has an iPhone/iPod plug which is integrated into the car's audio system. Unfortunately, the folks at Aston must still be using old iPods to test with because their new cars don't work with new iPods or iPhones. You get the "accessory not made to work" message when you plug it in.
I know that there is the power adapter from Scosche which will let me at least charge my iPhone, but I also want my car to be able to control my music too, and the Scosche adapter doesn't fix that part of the problem.
So, the question is, is there a different adapter out there that fixes the entire problem and let's older "interfacing" hardware work with the newer iPod/iPhones?
    Thanks,
    _Brian

Well, interfacing hardware all use the same protocols to talk to the iPod/iPhone. They're not doing anything funky. It's just that Apple changed those interfaces in the new hardware in 2008 so old accessories stopped working. From what I'm told it was because Apple wanted a way to make money from the accessory manufacturers, so those companies now have to pay for a license to use some special chip to make their devices work with the new iPhones.
So... what that means is that I need an adapter that has this chip in it and is able to translate the interface coming from old pre-2008 hardware to the new 2008+ hardware. It should be doable, but I just don't know if such an adapter is out there.

  • Configuring receiver RFC adapter to use RFC destination

    Hello,
I have been doing some digging, but I can't find a solid answer on how to configuring a receiver RFC adapter to use an existing RFC destination to call a 4/6C R/3 backend system...  Our scenario is to WS --> SOAP --> RFC which is up and running in production just fine on NW 7.0, SP12.
I ask this question because we, as a company, do not like to maintain passwords in multiple systems.  That is necessary when we use the receiver RFC adapter now since SNC is a distant pipe dream for us and we would like to use an existing RFC destination that is set up to call the backend system using a logon ticket.
I checked the relevant links I could find below, but I can not resolve the answer from them.  Has anyone set this up successfully?  This link (RFC Destination type RFC Receiver Adapter?) mentions it briefly, but it does not go into any length on how to set it up.
    Thanks!
    John

    Re: Asynchronous RFC call

    Hi John !!
I suggest you to create a new user, without dialog access in your ECC system to be used exclusively by the XI system to access ECC. And then, always use this user in all RFC receiver adapter communication channels.

    Matias.

  • File Adapter Questions

[Edwin moving internal questions to OTN]:
I'm looking for answers on some BPEL questions I have.
    * Is it possible to iterate over an array in an assign element? How?
    * Where can I find a description of the JCA binding parameters when using the JCA Files adapter (oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec)
    * When I modify the FileNamingConvention parameter of the JCA binding for the file adapter, it seems that I need to restart the whole BPEL PM in order for these chenges to take effect? Is this the only way?
    * The format of the %TIME% substitution parameter in the FileNamingConvention only contains the date, no time. Can this format be modified somehow?
    * Can the %TIME% substitution parameter in the FileNamingConvention be combined with the %SEQ%? It doesn't seem so.

    Hi Peter,
When I modify the FileNamingConvention parameter of >>> the JCA binding for the file adapter, it seems that I >>> need to restart the whole BPEL PM in order for these >>> chenges to take effect? Is this the only way? When you modify the JCA binding parameters, all you need to do is re-deploy the process in question. You shouldn't need to restart the server since hot process deploy is supported.
The format of the %TIME% substitution parameter in >>> the FileNamingConvention only contains the date, no >>> time. Can this format be modified somehow? We're already aware of this issue and have logged it as a bug. We'll try to make this more granular than a day, e.g. second.
Can the %TIME% substitution parameter in the
FileNamingConvention be combined with the %SEQ%? It
doesn't seem so.No, these two substitution parameters cannot be combined and we haven't encountered this requirement. I assume you'd want this because the previous issue would mandate a SEQ to make multiple files written on the same day uniquely named. Would you still have use-cases for combining these two substitution parameters if TIME were made more granular?
Where can I find a description of the JCA binding
parameters when using the JCA Files adapter
(oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec)This will be coming out in documentation with the release. If you have specific questions or would need info on some particular things, e.g. some InteractionSpec params, we'd be happy to send it to you.
    thanks,

  • 5.1 audio from iMac using a mini toslink adapter?

Can I get 5.1 audio from mid 2011 27" iMac (ultra build I think it was called) using a 'mini Toslink adapter'? If so does OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) decode Dolby Digital and/or DTS in iTunes12 ? I've had this computer since its release and always wondered. Today I bought a mini Toslink adapter, fingers crossed I guess. I have a Logitech Z-5500 kicking around, to get 5.1 I need to either hook up optical (Toslink), coaxial, or 6ch 3.5mm x 3.
    anyone else doing this?

    Greetings Napes30,
Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
It looks like you have some questions about outputting surround sound from your iMac with iTunes 12.
Your iMac does support optical audio output, as mentioned in the tech specs:
    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) - Technical Specifications
    Headphone/optical digital audio output (minijack)
You should also be able to connect the Mac to your receiver using your mini-Toslink adapter, as you may have already found out!
This information and more about using digital surround sound with iTunes can be found here:
Set up iTunes and your DVD Player for digital surround sound - Apple Support
A TOSLINK (optical digital audio) cable with a mini-TOSLINK connector or mini-TOSLINK adapter to connect to a 3.5 mm optical digital audio jack
    All the best,
    Jeremy
