Over a month of no service but still billed...

Hi forums members, I have had a BTpackage now for roughly 4 months and initially had bt broadband unlimited, unlimited btvision+ and evening and weekend calls and once its up and running its all perfect but ive gone roughly a month or so without service due to when i first made the order it took an extra 2 weeks (2 weeks into the first months bill) for them to fit my broadband due to a dodgy cabel not bring the Internet to my house (once fixed i received superb speeds for basic broadband) but now i have moved and i have upgraded my bt package to fibre (Bt infinity 2) it has taken them a further 2 weeks (an engineer is out on Thursday) to come and fit my fibre/switch it on. My query is im paying for a package i cant actually use for around 4 weeks/A month and that's £30+ of my money and im wondering where do i go about getting it refunded even if its in the form of a bt shop voucher. Thankyou and i hope you can help.

you do not pay for your infinity service until it goes live you will only be billed for your standard broadband service

    Close out of the message app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
    Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up.
    Then check and see if you can save the pic.

    I will tell you honestly. I have tried almost everything to fix the issues. I even tried to call Adobe Technical Support so I can fix the activation issue but no answer after waiting for about an hour on the line. I ask the chat but they just kept saying wait for another 24 hrs it should be updated now it has been about 4 days and no changes. I am extremely frustrated to cause I need to work on my computer. So where can I get help? they prompt me to here btw, many many times.

  • Over a Month of waiting... still no resolution dat...

    Well after an initial activation date of 20th March and many hours spent on hold I still have no broadband. I have a £15 phone bill from my initial chase, and since finally getting my phone connected earlier this month, I still have no broadband which is all I joined BT for.
    Utterly dissatisfied and if I have no further information this week I will be cancelling my subscription and joining the masses of people who warn future customers away from BT. I have had several slow and unhelpful reactions to my regular calls and queries. Each time I get a new "Account Manager" who's going to deal with my query personally and call me back in 48 hours. 72 hours later after having patiently waited I have to chase again, from scratch and explaining my issue from the ground up. Then I get a new name in India, who "understands my frustration" and will be updating me... I never hear back.
    All I wanted was a date for when I will be connected, if it was close I'd have been prepared to wait.. if it was far out I'd have gone elsewhere. Something tells me BT knew that it would be a slow process hence their lack of transparency. I'm unable to work from home without an internet connection and I'm fully understanding why the BT consistently hit the bottom of the Which.co.uk independent polls! Can someone in the UK provide me with some detail?
    I've invested enough time chasing, perhaps someone could offer me some help? If not I'll go elsewhere.

  • Back up taking over 8hrs & showing like ~99% complete but still going... ?

I have an iPhone 3GS running 3.1.3 & i desperately want to update to iOS4 but i'm doing a back up & (now on my 2nd time) & both times they took over 8hrs & never seemed to complete, i canceled them. I have an iPhone 3GS 32GB model & am only using ~8GBs of memory (shows Audio - 1.14GB; Photos 4.21GB; Apps 1.56GB; Other 748.4MB; free 21.7 GB)...
    Honestly what gives? i can copy 8GB of data in like 15min or less, & if i'm starting from scratch newly hooking up to iTunes 9.2 on my WinXP laptop after i had to do a full wipe & reinstall of everything on my XP machine. So its not like its comparing ...
    I'm so ready to kill the back up now, but it ***** i invested 8+ hrs for nothing ...
    ..i did read about the photos, but honestly? i really don't see how that justifies 8+hrs or greater of 'backing up' ...

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • I'm getting my iPhone replaced tomorrow and my iCloud won't backup as apparently there isn't enough storage. I have deleted over 500 pictures and 6 apps, but still won't?

    My phone's going to be replaced at the Apple store tomorrow for reasons that don't make a difference to this, and my iPhone hasn't been backed up since the 16th of May! Everytime I plug in my phone it says 'Not Enough Storage' 'Please delete some of your storage to make room for backup' I have made LOADS of room. I generally delete loads of photo's everyday to try and make enough space. On storage, I've got 7.3 GB Available, and I've used 6.2 GB. It says, there needs to be an additional 5.1 GB of storage required to back up my iPhone. This can't be right, and I'm clueless?
    If I go into the shop tomorrow and they replace my phone, my data will be lost?
    And I can't complain about this tomorrow because they won't be able to do anything?

    You gotta remember that iCloud is backing up the entire phone. So if you delete stuff it still might not be enough. You have to options.  Buy more storage or back it up to a computer because apple won't be able to back it up for you.

    Can anyone help me with this? I feel like Adobe has totally abandoned its old paying customers. Afterall, this is the ONLY WAY I can get info on the product. They've stopped even supporting direct customer service, leaving it up to "volunteer" customers to do it.
    Are there any apps that will give me the same capabilities I've already paid for without paying for them yet again? !

    If BearShare is an extension, you can go into ''Tools > Add-ons > Extensions'' to disable or uninstall it.
    If it's a plugin, go into ''Tools > Add-ons > Plugins'', where you can disable it. To uninstall it completely, you need to contact its author for support, as it's done outside the browser. In case it's a plugin.

    i am trying to reenable home sharing - but bonjour services will not reenable in services although it is stating it has - tried to uninstall and reinstall all apple products/services but still no joy
    in preferences -  the Bonjour Services has bee ndisables - bonjour is required to share music with others please re-enable the services to use this feature.

    Sorry for reply to post but I have a new development.  I can get it to work from my laptop if it's connected wireless but as soon as I hard wire it to the router Home share is gone.  Desktop is of course hard wired to the router to get the Gigabit upload speed so I've at least narrowed it down to the hard wiring upload.

  • OVER 1 month for repairs.

    So now it has been over one month and my laptop is STILL at the repair depot. So I called customer service (6th time) and was told;
    1) There is nothing they can do to speed up my repairs.
    2) They will not gave me an exchange.
    3) They will not extend my warranty for the time I have been without it.
    4) There is NO form of compensation for my loss of usage.
    5) I can feel free to call back if I want to be told NO again......
    Has anyone here ever gotten satisfaction from Toshiba, and if so what did you have to do to get it?

    as for the status of your repair, it may be an issue of the phone having more serious damage, and also the fact that many businesses close down over Christmas and the New Year, so you do need to take this in account.

    I should clarify: I didn't know it fell out, but I check my phone often enough that there were only about 10 minutes between when I last put it in my pocket and then realized it wasn't there.
    We asked everyone around us if they saw it, and like 10 people were helping us look. But my husband used Find My iPhone and the Prey app right away when we realized it was missing (again, at most 15 minutes from the last time I used it) and it was already in offline / "cannot locate" mode.
