Over the ear bluetooth headphones

I have been looking forever for over the ear style headphones because I have been tired of the cord constantly getting in the way when I am going around listening to my music on my mp3 player. Why have there not been any over the ear style headphones made for bluetooth? If they never get made then I guess I will have too wait till umax comes out and see if they make good wireless headphones for it and not just those crappy headphones that are available for bluetooth.

I just found one by chance but it is only 60db and I have seen others alot better then this when it comes to quality.

  • Recommendations for over the ear bluetooth headphone

Hello. Does anyone have recommendations for over the ear bluetooth headphones to be used for my Mac Pro? Thanks!

I recently got a set of Insignia NS-BTHDP I am quite happy with. They synced up no problem with the internal bluetooth and work nicely. I had an older set (Jensen WBT212) that didn't work as well but were functional that these replaced.

  • Recommend over-ear Bluetooth headphones for iPad

I searched the forum and found several threads regarding BT headphone recommendations. Specifically, I am looking for over-ear type headphones as I find earbuds uncomfortable. I'd also like to stay under $100 if possible. So far I have found two sets that look like they might suit my needs & budget--the Motorola MOTOROKR S305 and the Rocketfish RF-MAB2.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with these particular headphones? Or do you have any other suggestions? The Sennheiser MM100 looks nice too but it's $150. Thanks!

The Bose aren't Bluetooth as the OP was asking about.
Personally, I got a set of the Jaybird sportsband bluetooth stereo headphones. I read just about everything I could find on BT headsets and settled on these. They work great and come in less than a $100 bucks. The sound is great for the price and you don't have any dangling cords. Paired right up with my iPad no problems.

Does anyone know why this might be?

  • Over the ear headphones - what to use???

I ride a motorcycle with my ipod. I am looking for a set of headphones that go over the ear (headphone and not just the cord) and that will block some on the outside noise but not all. What are you all using that would fit that description? If possible put a web link in your reply back.

It's a physical design flaw that results in a recessed earphone jack that most earphones don't fit.
One option is to purchase a jack adapter:

The other is to "surgically" modify your existing headphone jack:

  • Nokia BH-905i: over the ear cushion pads?

    Hi,
I'm a happy owner of Nokia BH-905i headsets. I have to say I bought them with some reluctancy but I was never more satisfied with something I bought. Working with my computer or my phone most of the time I have to say they are great.
Anyway, the thing is I tend to use them quite a lot. And the on-the-ear design sometimes becomes uncomfortable. And AFAI Nokia is not planing on releasing a new headset with these specifications (bluetooth, noise cancelling, portable, etc).
Do anybody knows if over-the-ear cushion pads can be adapted? For what I can tell the cushion pads are glued to the body. Am I right?
    Thanks.

Have you considered Nokia's new Purity Pro Headset? It's on the ear, wireless, designed for comfort, portable (as it folds up) and has active noise cancellation.
    http://www.nokia.com/global/products/accessory/bh-940/
I've had a quick google and not found anyone talking about adapting the cushions on your headset so it looks like it either can't be done or no one has tried that kind of modification. Perhaps you could be the brave person that tries it and blogs about it for others to read? My guess is with it being an expensive product is that no one has dared to do it. You can buy earpads for other headsets on ebay so you may find some that suit there, but obviously it's entirely at your own risk.
Sadly due to the forum rules the users here aren't allowed to discuss or assist in any form of modification or disassembly outside of what is covered in the user guide so I wish you luck if you try it!

  • Has anyone tried to pair the Tzumi bluetooth headphones to their iMac?  My iMac will detect the device, connect to it for about 2 seconds, then shows a status of "not connected".  Multiple attempts get the same result.

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.

  • Why did Apple break the good Bluetooth/headphones options?

New Bluetooth is very dangerous (if you're driving)!
OS 2.x = listening to music via headphone jack over car stereo, phone call interrupts, talk on Bluetooth headset, hang up & music restarts automatically through headphone jack.
OS 3.0 = listening to music via headphone jack over car stereo, phone call interrupts, talk on Bluetooth headset, hang up & music DOESN'T restart! Have to take eyes off road to screw around with music!
OS 3.0 = Bluetooth headset paired. Plug in headphones, music doesn't automatically switch to headphone output
OS 3.0 = make phone call via Bluetooth headset, hang up. Dial new number and hit SEND, phone defaults back to IPHONE instead of staying on headset (again while driving, requiring more time dealing with phone instead of driving!)
    VERY disappointed!

So a year ago I rushed out and bought Bluetooth headphones to use with my iphone, only to findout that the protocall wasn't supported. I bought an adapter and everything worked great (well mostly the music would stop when a call would come in but start again in the background after taking the call.) I lost the adapter a month ago, but knowing this update was coming just counted the days.
So now I have the update and am quite satisfied to be listening to music and apps through my headphones. I was dismayed to dicover the lack of forward and backward protocall, but am not suprised, I knew apple couldn't give us EVERYTHING we wanted, they have to hold on to somthing for the "next big updated!" What really ****** me off is when I get a call I can no longer answer it on my headphones! I used to be I'd press the answer call button, but now nothing happens, I have to answer it on the phone and select my headset to output through. I'm getting a palm pre.
(I have Sony DR-BT21G headphones and would be interested to hear if anyone has been able to get their headphones to work for music and answering calls directly on their headphones.)

  • What is the best bluetooth headphone for a macbook? I really don't know much about either.

I am looking for a bluetooth portable wireless headphone set to use with my new macbook pro non retna. I want someing i can listen to movies, youtube, games(eve online) and other media.
I do not know much about wireless headphones and i know nothing about the Macbook, my first ever apple product.I perfer to get something low profile like the LG HBS-700. I do not neccesarily require a in ear style headset. I also perfer sound isulating over noise canceling.
I am willing to invest in a quality product. I do not know what is compatable with mac though so please help.
I am ordering the macbook this weekend and would like to be enjoying my music and movies right away.
    thank you for your help.

I have a  Motorola Bluetooth headset with microphone that I got from Amazon - here. Nothing fancy - definitely not audiophile quality - but small and portable and they hold a charge really well.
Take a look at them and see if they will fit your needs. Price is right.

  • What's up with the Modal Bluetooth Headphones?

I really want to like these headphones, but I'm on my second pair in two weeks and I'm trying to decide if I should keep trying or just throw in the towel and get another brand. I love the way they fit, they're easy to configure and have good sound. But both of the pairs I've tried have stopped working within a day. What happens is for a few seconds, the sound starts to break up, and then they won't. turn. off. No matter what I do.  They have a small power button that, when on, displays a steady blue light. You usually only have to hold it down for about two seconds, but if that doesn't work, well, what do you do? They just won't turn off, which means I can't reset them. There's some discussion on this issue in the forum for the product on Bestbuy.com, but the only solution I've seen is to take them back and get another set. I just want a pair that I know is going to work!

I would tend to think if it happened once that you just got a bad one.
    But when it happens twice.
Side note.  I used to sell computers.  Someone called me that I sold a system to all made because they got it all set up and it would not turn on.
Long story short they didn't plug it in.  They got even madder at me.
Since then ever since trying to help troubleshoot I try and phrase the easy answers that way.  Hee Hee.
I have Sony Headphones and I am very happy with them.  I think it is this model.
    Model: MDRZX330BT/B
    SKU: 4026045

  • Looking for a bluetooth headphone for my Macbook Air and Ipad Mini, I am not looking for a headphone that needs a transmitter to be connected to the source rather a headphone that can be connected directly via bluetooth to the source device

I am desperately looking for a bluetooth headphone that would be compatible to my Macbook air and Ipad mini both. I am more of looking for a headphone that does not need a transmitter device to be connected to the source (in this case Macbook Air and Ipad Mini) and headphone acting as a receiver, rather need a headphone that would be connected directly via bluetooth to the source, it would be great if multiple apple devices be connected simultaneously. Please suggest some good headphones.

Hey sorry for the late reply, I was busy to figure out alternatives as harman kardon was a difficult affair to find and acquire, but the good news is I managed to get hold of alternative.
Sony I assume recently launched a Bluetooth headphone DR-BTN200 which is compatible to my MacBook Air , iPad mini and android phone galaxy s2 with ease, the sound quality is pretty good as compared to other brands of Bluetooth headphones I checked compatible or incompatible to apple devices alike, this is definitely what I was looking for, costed me 7990 INR, this is highly recommended for ppl who are confused, I carried my devices to the store and checked before I bought a pair and pretty much happy,
The best part of this is its battery backup, I have used this hours for 3-5 days but this has not drain even then, but I do keep this charging once in 2-3 days just to keep this ready otherwise it does not even ask for it neither the quality of sound drops after 2-3 days of use.
This is over the ear headphone which is very soft but it's get sweaty around the ear I guess that's bound to happen.
Do get back to me for any other details, would be glad to share with all :)

  • A question regarding the old connector (headphones jack) used in SE headphones models.

    HELLO .
I liked the idea of MH907 , and I both them. Was very satisfied with the motion
activated feature - even if they didnt have the superbass feature like the ones
that were included in the package when I both the w380i phone.
Then I had a few problems with charging the "older" phone - I was using it for 3 years
and had to buy a new one. With limited resources at that moment, I got SPIRO.
Line in or 3,5mm or the connector changed during that period, to standard 3,5mm - just like
other phone ( walkman, ipod ... etc )  manufactures use. So I was unable to use perfectly
good headphones from previous phone and MH907 with my SPIRO.
Normally I didnt argue so much and both new ones - at the time decided for MH700.
Recently, when I lost  ( or forgot them somewhere ) my MH700 - btw I was also satisfied
with them , good sound quality,  I started searching for new ones online, in the local stores.
I saw a few products available, and was ( still am ) interested in HPM 88.
Noise canceling and superior sound quality speakers are surely a very good option,
but I noticed ( after looking at the pictures online and checking the compatible phones )
    - the HPM 88 heaphones also have the old connector.
I asked this question before, but only mentioned MH907 - the answer was : " there are no
    such plans " .
Now I ask SE or/and SE Xtras manufacturers again :
Are there any plans to make (the same) older model headphones with new connector  ?
If not, is there an alternative solution with an aditional plugin to convert old connector
    to a 3,5mm in ( without sound quality loss )  ?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND ANSWERS.

Yes, yeah  ; once again I agree with you - "over the ear" or lets say  normal speakers are prefered choice in studios and professional work with music. It is hard to reach the sound quality with in-ear headphones that the "old fashioned" headphones offer, but in these modern days possible.
When I saw the monitor in-ear SONY headphones online and in SONY local store - you probably know that 50€ is the starting point (the cheapest EX monitor headphones), and reaches up to 500 €
with the best possible head set, I said to myself - surely there is a reasson for such a price.
SONY products are well known for its quality, and headphones with a price of a bit less then "minimum monthly income in our country" surely offer unique sound experience and listening pleasure(s) that I can only dream about at the moment.
I not a producer and I dont make music for a living - but when it comes to outdoor excercise with my bike, walks in the nature and/or just sitting outdoors and smoking - I just can not imagine having big "old fashined" headphones on my head ( an answer why I would prefer in-ear model ) .
I listen to the radio ( with mostly electronic music - but also lots of popular (and new ) songs from pop, rap to rock and metal - where voice and lirics are important and I want to hear them as good as I can. I also listen to harder, faster genres of electronic music like trance, techno and in that kind of genre its more if not all about a good bass line.
So If I quicly finish this post -> MH - 700 are a very good product for an affordable price. I was very satisfied untill I lost/missplaced (or something similar) them. Compared to ones included with SPIRO (both the phone in a package with local (slovenian) mobile carrier ) is like comparing HONDA TO A YUGO if you know what I mean. I would recommend them to every person who wants a bit more from listening to music - but cant afford an expensive headphones.
As for the "long" cord problem -> Did you ever want to reach for something while listening to music and could not, due the short cord ? It happened to me a few times. At least I can shorten that cord with a plastic tensioner or double wrap them around my neck - at least with that way I will not lose them again............. :_)  " problem (at least with me) erupts when the cord is to short , not to long "
Thank you for feedback, I will reply when I can, when I purchase new headphones and I also hope to buy a smart phone this year - one of the Xperia models - they are so tempting :_)
PS : sorry for any spelling and grammar errors in my post
