Overall audio quality after 2.1 update

I updated to 2.1 when it first came out and overall, the phone has performed better with fewer dropped calls. However, is it my imagination or did the audio call quality suffer? This is most noticeable when using a BT headset or receiving calls from other iPhone users. The audio is clear but has a sharp edge to it.

I also got the same problem with voice quality. My friends cannot hear my voice clearly and always ask me repeat and repeat. One more thing, iPhone3G always pick up a lot of background noise. Because I used Motorola V9 which voice quality is better iPhone3G. I hope Apple can improve the voice quality soon, otherwise I need throw it away and use V9 again...

Very low audio quality after amber update

After installing amber update audio quality and volume has dropped significantly! Volume through speakers is alot lower, and when plugged into headphones audio lacks quality and depth. There is barely any bass and volume is very low, sounds like listening to a clock radio very disappointing, as audio quality on my 920 was very very good the best of any phone so far before amber update!

i haven't noticed that with my 920. have you tried performing a soft reset and also check that you are up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store?

Start up error and beats audio crackling after realtech driver update

I am having several issues.
If I plug in a external hard drive, the OS will not start and goes to "press esc for start up menu" in lower left corner on a black screen. I press esc and it goes to boot options. I have done what HP states and hard started my computer twice and it did not help, and I have found no other suggestion to try and fix this. I have tried everything, including a system recovery and it still goes to the start up menu options. If I disconnect the external, it will still appear, but the operating system will start up after a few seconds. Why do I have to disconnect my external to start OS. And for some reason, my external has been seated in the hardrive section of my computer, instead of the removable storage devices in my computer.
Also, after updating realtech driver, my beats audio speakers pops and cracks. I tried to roll back driver, but no changes. Please help. I dont want to go thru the trouble of sending my computer back for repair. This is really upsetting!!!! I cannot play any videos or music, because of the crackling. Why did it do that, and is it fixable. My laptop has not been jarred or dropped in any manner to have caused any damage. It started after the driver update, and even tho I rolled back the driver, it still does this.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 17t-f000 Notebook and issues with Beats Audio and startup issues. The startup looks at the USB as one of your Boot options. So it can not load anything until it know that this is not a boot device.
You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings which could resolve the issue with the sound.
Here is a fix that has helped others.
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner by your time.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers.
4. Click properties.
5. Click the advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window.

Audio Quality with 2.1 update - GONE!

Has anyone else noticed that the audio quality with the iPhone after the 2.1 update has gone downhill. On several calls today I have had people on other iPhones asking for me to repeat myself, and me to them. We all got together today and it seems everyone in our little group has the same problem.
The calls I have made in the last day after the update to 2.1 are in the same area and places. Everything sounds bassy like the highs are gone. The quality is gone! When people talk I can hear a break-up (distortion) where the quality is lacking. What did Apple do to the awesome sound the iPhone 3G once had?
I would rather have a program crashing phone with great sound then what this has become.. Anyone else having the same problem? Is there something new under a secret icon on the phone that lets one fiddle with highs and lows?? Help my sound quality is gone...

No HDMI audio output after recent HP update.

Hi, I recently was prompted for an HP sound driver update. After installation, the update seemed to break the audio output from my computer to my television. Before the update, the sounds from the computer would come from the television speakers, but now it defaults back to the laptop speakers. Since the update, there is no longer an option for HDMI audio playback in the sound options of the control panel. Can someone help?

Poor audio quality after exporting to .MOV.

Voiceover in my video sounds crystal clear in the timeline but then thin and "rattley" after export when playing back with Quicktime player. Background music on other tracks always seems to be unaffected. Audio export set to AAC, 48 kHZ, Stereo. I must export to a Quicktime .mov format because it's the only file type that I can upload to YouTube without the color quality being distorted after upload. Adobe Updater says all of my programs are updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How did you record the VO? is it a mono or stereo track, how are you viewing the export. Sometimes when just one section of the audio is wrong it is due to audio phase problems, I have not seen this with a vo before but it might be the issue. See:

JVC Everio Audio Quality After Import

I filmed quite a bit of video using my companies JVC Everio in full HD 1920x1080. The camera natively shoots in .tod format. I flipped it to .avi using AVS Video Converter. Both files play fine in VLC player, and they look just fine. After importing into premiere, the videos will barely play, and are super laggy. They video doesn't match up to the audio in the source window at all. I'll set in and out points, and only the video will go to the sequence in the timeline. Once I drag the audio and match it up to the video i just dragged, the audio doesn't match. I have to manually fix it. Even still, the audio sounds HORRIBLE. Again, it sounds just fine in VLC player, it's only after I import it that it made a womans voice sound slightly deeper, and just terrible quality. Am I doing something wrong in the import? Are there some sequence settings I need to change? I can fix most of the video problems, I can even deal with manually adjusting the placement of the audio and video after each insert of video from the source moniter, but I simply cannot deal with the loss of quality from the audio. Please help, I'd love to provide any additonal information about the system or project settings.

Beats audio irresponsive after windows 10 update

I bought an HP Envy desktop 700-400nd only a few months ago. I've been really happy with it. However, after upgrading to windows 10, I'm having problems with beatsaudio. This really is such a bummer. Windows 10 is awesome in so many ways, but I really want it to work with beatsaudio. I do have audio on my computer, but parts of the BA control panel just aren't working anymore (such as the click buttons to select different output devices). I ran windows update and SA but no updates or anything. Please HP, help and fix this as soon as possible ... thanks

I have an HP EliteBook Folio 9470m with the same issue. I read that I need an APCI driver from HP (Advanced Power Control Interface Driver) but I can't seem to find it. As a workaround, hold down the shift key as you click shut down. It's been working for me. If anyone is able to find the APCI driver from HP please let us all know. I came to try to find the driver. Connecting to iMac optical audio out/ overall audio quality?

Just curious if anyone has done this yet? The iMac says it has optical audio out through the headphone jack but without an adapter I can't see how that's possible. My speakrs accept optical audio in and I really want to connect them to my future iMac. If not, how's the optical from the headphone jack? Is it possible to get 5.1 surround from that port?

I cannot find my audio books after iTunes 12 update

     I updated to 12 - previously I had audio books in iTunes and was able to select that category to see and listen to them, place them in playlists, move to iPod, etc. Now I can't even find them. How can I fix this?

     I found answer to this question. Select books in menu, then audiobooks appears as a choice on the left - and they appear as before.

Curve 8520 - Video quality after v5.0 update

Hello all!
Got a Curve 8520 and since updating yesterday, the frame rate when recording video has dropped significantly meaning jerky/jumpy video. It may be worth adding that even when in video camera mode but NOT recording the feed is still jumpy.
I can see the difference by watching video I recorded before the update and also by comparing to my wifes phone (exactly the same as mine) which has not had the update yet.
Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

You can always downgrade back to the previous OS if you like and see if the video quality returns.
Always, do a backup first, using Desktop Manager > Backup.
1. Delete the newer OS from your PC by going to Control Panel >Add/Remove Programs.
2. Then download and install the older version of the OS. BlackBerry Operating System Downloads
3. Install the older OS to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
4. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

Apple TV audio problems after latest software update

Updated my AppleTV last night with latest software update. Completly lost sound through my home theater system. Only hear audio on the TV. Anyone else having this problem? Apple TV is sure buggy...about ready to chuck it out the window!

I'm having the phenomenom that video from HDMI input is broken and at the moment it looks as if 1080p/60Hz is affected. (Switching to 50Hz on a device that supports frequency changing helped.) Also the TV overlay menus are broken when using HDMI. Normal cable TV seems unaffected.
