Overall export as HTML progress take to long and Crash
Overall export as HTML progress take 6 hours to do it, and then the software crash. I try with FTP upload and same thing happen. Never upload or export any pages.
All Linked graphics (Assets) are ok. No warnings messages on the Warnings Pannel.
Now my page is down for this Muse CC problem. This never happen with the old version.
Please Help as soon as possible

From the log it appears Muse may be having trouble re-importing one or more PSD files at export time.
It also appears you may be working with the .muse file and most (all) your images stored on network volume (E: drive)?
Working directly from a file server will be many many times slower than working with the .muse file stored locally. Not because the throughput on your network is slow, but because the latency for each individual read or write request is thousands of times slower over even a fast network than it is when accessing a local hard drive or solid state drive. When working with your .muse file Muse will be making thousands and thousands or read and write operations. If the time to initiate each of those operations is slow, working with Muse will be very slow.
Please do a test for me. Copy the .muse file to your local hard disk and temporarily either unmount your E: drive or rename a folder in the path to all the images (so Muse can't find them). Then open the .muse file and export to a local folder. Muse will report all the links as missing. That's fine. That's what we want for the test.
How long did this export take? My expectation is one minute, or less. Please let me know one way or the other and we'll go from there. Thanks.

Why does exporting a quicktime movie take so long?
I'm exporting an 88-minute-long HDV movie as a self-contained quicktime without recompressing. The media is all on one ESATA drive and the target disk is a second ESATA drive. It takes five hours and uses >150% of my CPU during the export. It seems to me like it shouldn't take nearly that long, nor should it use so much CPU since basically all it's doing is copying data from one disk to another, right? Any idea why it's taking so long and using so much CPU? Thanks.

This is one of the drawbacks of working/delivering in HDV ... With that in mind, is there any special reason you are creating an HDV self contained master?
I'm making it self contained so I can put the whole thing on my MBP's internal hard drive and show it to people without having to carry terabytes of media around. I'm staying in HDV because I started out working in Final Cut Express, which converts everything to AIC, and had very bad results: my media files grew by a factor of three, everything was ridiculously slow, and my machine crashed regularly, particularly during captures, which was unbelievably frustrating because that meant I had to babysit the machine throughout the entire capture process (and often through multiple iterations of the capture process interleaved with machine reboots). In fact, the only reason I started using FCP instead of FCE is so I wouldn't have to transcode. -

We have written VB.Net program which extracts required information from the database in the memory and then based on the configuration, exports the data to PDF using below command
ExportToDisk(CrystalDecisions.[Shared].ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, outFile), where outFile is .pdf filename in same folder as the executable
The program is packaged in an MSI. It includes msvcr71.dll. When installed, this generated below assemblies;
CystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
CrystalDecisons.Reportsource
CrystalDecisions.shared
When the report is run on a Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2, it completes in about 4 minutes. Please see below for the specs of this workstation (Search for "Workstation Specs")
When the same report is installed on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Service Pack 4, it takes more than 2 hours. Please see below for the specs of this server (Search for "Server Specs")
Could someone point us to the problem please. We have tried following options;
checked out the dot net framework. The server and the w/s now have v2
installed adobe on the server (to ensure that there are no missing libraries or links)

Now the applications do start immediately via SSH X11 forwarding as expected.
The following three lines helped:
ip6tables -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
ip6tables -A OUTPUT -o lo -j ACCEPT
ip6tables -A FORWARD -i lo -o lo -j ACCEPT
While until now, all ip6 traffic has been forbidden (to drop all ip6 traffic) at the start of the system of course.
Nevertheless, I don't understand it, why the ip6 localhost has to be granted this way even if the /etc/ssh/sshd_config is configured for ip4 only "AddressFamily inet"?
I thought, that this way the sshd will be using ip4 protocol only (including for the X11 forwarding), then why does it still need the ip6? -
My last laptop (os vista) died, all I could save was the hard drive. I was given an old spare by a friend (os xp) but my favourites are in one folder (plus the several subfolders I had arranged them in) which I've transferred, however the folder is not a single .html file. Rather all of them are arranged as their individual urls. There are hundreds, how can I import the lot? I don't have the time to do them one by one.

AlThe photos are on the ipod. Photo sync will erase them. I need a way to extract them from the ipod, or to.extract them from the ipod backup that is who knows where on my PC.
I've been searching for an app to do that with no luck. They all seem to want a newer OS than is on my ipod yet I have the most recent update installed. -

RoboHelp 8 HTML application error...and CRASH
I'm working on a project in RoboHelp HTML 8, and got this error message, which was followed by the application closing and losing my changs.
Has anyone else experienced this?

It referred to RH9, rather than RH8Does your computer meet the system requirements for CS4?
If not, that might be the problem.
Also, when you reinstalled CS4, did you restore anything from your old installation?
If no, I would advice you to try and make a complete uninstall, delete all folders after uninstalling, then try to make a new and clean installation.
If the problem still exists, can you please provide the full error message?
Another thing is if you have a lot of programs and stuff running, that could be why you get this error message, try to restart your PC, then open up only CS4 after the restart, see if you get the error when only running CS4. -
Serveradmin takes wrong values and crashes service

Serveradmin on console is taking wrong values and therefore crashing services. without checking syntax or possibility that the value I just set may be wrong.
Backstory:
My calendarservice produced strange errors on the client side after upgrading from 10.7 server to 10.10 (I know it's a bit brutal, but over all it worked out (almost)), and finding no Logfiles in /var/log/calendar
So I found that this value was not set
# serveradmin settings calendar:LogLevels
calendar:LogLevels = _empty_dictionary
And so i Set it to
# serveradmin settings calendar:LogLevels = warn
And after wards the Service was unable to do ANYTHING

The "solution" was to recreate the /Library/Server/Calendar\ and\ Contacts/Config/caldavd-system.plist file from a Timemachine backup. (directly via browsing into the path in the terminal) /Volumes/SOME_VOLUME/Backups.backupdb/HOSTNAME/DATE/HARDDISK//Library/Server/Ca lendar\ and\ Contacts/Config/...
There is even no need to restart or anything, the server app immediately was able to recognise the file and was starting up the service again.
I hope I could help anybody with that information, and maybe some apple devs may also read this and try to fix it. (or add it as a feature )

Apps take very long to update and with not much progress
Hi, i have tried to download some new apps and update some of my apps with my itouch, but it takes super long to update without success. Tried cancelling and installing again, tried off-ing and on-ing and even resetting the itouch but to no avail.
Even attempted to update through itunes but once again, it takes super long and super slow and end up with connection timed out. Please advise. Thanks.Craig,

Why does it take so long for iPhoto 6 to duplicate a photo?
I've got 3GB of RAM and it takes 10 seconds for iPhoto to simply duplicate a photo in my library. It is also a relatively lengthy process on my 20" iMac.
I select "Duplicate" from the menu or command-D, and then the "importing photo" screen comes up, there's a progress bar, and it takes WAY TOO LONG.
I've rebuilt my library many times, fixed permissions, converted all my color profiles to the generic one that iPhoto will place nice with, etc.
It didn't use to take this long, and I only have 7000 photos in my library!
Power Mac Dual 2Ghz Mac OS X (10.4.8)With my setup it takes 3 seconds to duplicate a 3MB file in iPhoto. A lot will depend on the processor speed (we're the same) memory (again the same) and free space on the HD (I've got much more than 20G). My Mac, however, is a G5 and that may be the difference.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Interactive forms takes too long to load - sometimes crashes reader.

I'm just wondering if anyone have this problem?
I just configured ADS and created a sample WD program to display an interactive form, the form is not complex, only 2 text fields and an image.
But when I deploy or run the program, the interactive form container hangs and take very long to process before displaying.
After I save the PDF file to a local drive, when I try to open it, it will take very long and sometimes crash my system.
Even when I click on "PDF Preview" to view the form in NWDS it take very long too.
At first I thought it could be due to my system and I open downloaded PDF file on other PCs, but the problem occurs too in those PCs.
Using Acrobat Reader 8.1.2, then downgraded to 8.1.1, still no avail.
Everytime I open the PDF or WD loads the PDF, when I check the Task Manager the process of AcroRdr32 will hog the system processes and use up the memory. I have no problems with other PDF files, only those generated by the WD application gives problems.
Someone hit the same problem? Any advise? Could it be the ACF or Adobe lifecycle issues?

If you are using Adobe Reader 8.1.* or above and activex controls in your form, you need to install the latest version of ACF and that will resolve the issue. And do remember to uninstall your old version of Adobe Reader first and then install Reader 8.1.* freshly and after installing it proceed with ACF installation. You have to follow the sequence.

Activation of Adobe Form takes too long / XML problem?
Dear all,
I copied a standard form to customer name a year ago with life cycle designer version 7. The designer was updated to 8.
When making a change to the adobe form now, the activation takes more than 30 minutes in some cases. I copied the original form again and the activation takes less than 3 minutes.
When calling the XML Coding-tab within the designer it also takes very long and in some cases the system crashes ....
Has anyone an idea why this happens and if there is anything that i can do with changing attributes or other settings? I also tried to copy the copied form again. Same problem. Only when copying the standard form the activation is normal. I made too many changes so to start over again would take long. I would like to avoid this.

I could not solve this. Had to create the form again. Tried to copy most of the elements into it.
Now it works again and is activated within 1-2 minutes.
So no real solution...

Why does it take so long to import a CD onto iTunes?
Whenever I try to import CDs onto iTunes, I literally have to let it import overnight before an album is finished. I thought it might be a hardware problem, so I got an external disk drive for my laptop. It didn't make any difference. Why does iTunes take so long, and is there any way to import/rip CDs faster?
sorrry i dont buy that whole firewall issue. it just doesn't make sense. no disrespect. please I have an issue where I downloaded a cd. Published it and all of the songs except for the one that i had unchecked and another one all synced to Itunes. why did that one song (Al Green "For the Good Times" not be accepted yet it is on the interface of Itunes but by itself and the only way I can play it is if I click on the file on the right that says "untitled playlist". go figure. not to dog out your issue if someone could help me out with this problem it would be helpful. thanks mike.

Just purchased Ipad 2 It's in configuration now - and has been for over an hour. It started at 80% and is now 77%. The screen goes black and when I press the home button, I slide the bar to continue configuration. My question is: Should this take so long and is it working even when the screen is dark? Thank you.

Why Does It Take So Long To Detect Proxy Settings?

The first time I start Internet Explorer after booting it takes a very long time (>30 seconds) to detect proxy settings. There is nothing else running on this machine. I have this problem if IE is the first thing I open after booting.
