Overall status yellow, but technical status is green

We are on SAP BI 7.0, SP 17.
I am having an issue with a few DTP's. I am loading from a cube to 3 DSO's. The process was working correclty for quite a while, but lately has been running extremely long. For something like 7,000 to 8,000 records it takes only 43 seconds for the DTP to finish and the technical status to change to green. However, it takes 2 hours for the overall status to change to green and sometimes it doesn't at all and I have to set it to red so that I can delete it.
While it is trying to change the overall status to green the DSO is locked - I can't get into the DSO manage screen - gives me an error message about the locks. I have read some fairly similar posts already, but none that I have seen seem to have the exact issue as I'm having. Does anyone have any ideas why the overall status is not being updated?
I have tried re-activating the target DSO, source cube and DTP, but that didn't work. I also tried to create a brand new DTP, but that also didn't work. Also, this process is already in a process chain. I am compressing the cube on a weekly basis. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brett

Hi Brett.
We are experiencing similar problems. I am loading initial load from a DSO with a very high number of requests to a infocube.
Apparently there is a overflow of the lock table (SM12). There is a lock for each request in the DSO and when the number of locks reaches 3500 the DTP stalls. If I manually set the overall status to green, I get the lock table overflow error message.
I've told my basis team to increase the enque/table_size parameter, I'll let you if that has any effect.

Lars

  • Technical Status is in yellow but total status is in Red

    Folks,
My Init load failed due to RFC errors, in the monitor Total is showing Red Status but the Technical is still showing yellow status and I am unable to delete the failed PSA request to re-start my Init load, please let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi ,
did you cancel the job in source system .. first cancel that job  and the delete that request ..
request might take long to delete due the more no of records ..
check the deletion job in source system wether its progressing or not .. In general you can follow this if you face this kind of issue further ..

  • REQUEST STATUS YELLOW WHILE MONITOR STATUS GREEN - BI7

    Hellow,
I try to load data with 0CO_OM_OPA_1, 0CO_OM_WBS_1 into Z cubes which are similar to the business content cubes 0OPA_C11 and 0WBS_C11 respectively.
ETL is BW3.5 (transfer rule and update rules). When I look at the request in the monitor, I see that everything is green but the request status is yellow and not available for reporting. I can change the status to green manually but this is not a good solution for me.
By the way the same load works well with te standart cubes.
    I use BI7 but I use BW3.5 business content.
What could be the reason for such problems?
    Regards,
    Hadar

    Hi Hadar,
We have exactly the same proble. Have you found a solution to it? I'm using Datasource 0HR_PT_2 to load data into Infocube ZPT_C01 (a copy of 0PT_C01). The monitor of the infopackage is green. There are no errors whatsoever. The status for the request in the Infocube>Manage is set to yellow and the data is not available for reporting. I can set it manually to green, but as you said yourself, it'd be nice to have an automated wway of doing this. Is there any way around this problem?
    Thanks

  • How to stop the process chain showing status as yellow but no process step

    Dear Friends,
How to stop the process chain showing status as yellow but no process step is running in that process chain.
We have manually triggered the process chain for sales it finished successfully till load data but the next step is create index and DB statistics. Both of this steps are in unscheduled position only and no background job for this.
    Please guide me.

At times even I have faced this situation.  During those times, running the Function module RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH by passing the right parameters came to my rescue.

In monitor technical status and total status is green.but in "manage" "QM status of Request after update" is yellow. Becaus of this I can't activate the ODS and send data to cube. Why is the QM yellow and how can I overcome this problem and get data into Cube?

  • Forcing technical status to RED

I have a load running for a while. I turned the overall status to red, but the technical status remains yellow and its still picking up records from source system. I tried killing the process in SM50, the jobs seems to die but to only reappear after sometime. I think I need to turn my technical status to red, to stop the process.
How can i turn the technical status to red? Any inputs or pointers would be appreciated.

tell your basis team to stop the job in SM50, as these jobs requires special authorization for cancelation which only admin person can do:)

  • Technical status nd QM status

    hi..
wat is the expansion of QM??...nd wat is technical status nd QM status..
    regards
    indu

QM is overall status of the request.
Technical status might be correct sometimes but the QM may be errorneous.
Secondly you cannot change the Technical Status but you can QM status.

  • Infopackage - load to ODS - status yellow !

    Hi everybody,
I am on BI 7.0 and i use Architecture 3.5.
When i transfer data (36000 records about) from a data table to ODS, i obtain for the 2 last days
    a problem of loading -
    > Status is always yellow.
As concerns TRFC, In transaction sm58, i obtain the following error:
    RFC:     RSAR_TRFC_DATA_RECEIVED
    Status:  Conversion Error
I have different behaviours following configuration of my InfoPackage when Incorrect Data Records Occur:
       - Valid Records update, reporting possible -
    > Status Yellow
       - Valid records update, no reporting       -
    > Status Red (few records are wrong)
    Have you any ideas ?
    Thanks a lot,
    Rodolphe.

    Hi,
If your data packets are getting into BW, then check your transfer and update rules, for any routines where the data is getting stuck.
If there are warnings, in the infopackage there is an option for treatment of warnings. Select the radio button as green and then reload the data.
Also suggest you keep an eye on SM50/51/66 to check what's happening with the data load.
Check the size of the data packets. If possible reduce the data size of the packets and see if that helps.
    Cheers,
    Kedar

  • Support Desk Message is Sent to SAP; But the status is not updated

    Hi All,
We have Solution Manager 7.0 SP15 with Windows Server and Oracle.
    Service Desk is configured.
One user has reported a problem from satellite system.
It arrived to Service Desk of Solution Manager.
The support team message processor changed the status to "In Process"
and asked sapadmin user(who can forward messages to SAP) to forward this message to SAP.
sapadmin user(SAP-OSS) has performed the action "Send Message to SAP" successfully.
But the status of the message is still "In Process". It didn't change to "Sent to SAP".
    Question is:
    1. Where and How to check the message is really sent to SAP or not?
    2. Why the status is not changed to SAP? Is anything needs to be done yet?
I have checked this thread and performed the actions. But still it doesn't work.
Send support message to SAP, don't refresh info at service desk
    Regards,
    Sanjai

    Rohit,
    Thanks.
    I have implemented this note.
I get different error now when the user try to do the action "Send Message to SAP".
The error is: "You do not have authourization to send notification to SAP".
The user has the following roles:
    Z:M_SAP_SM_SOLUTION_ALL
    Z:M_SAP_SOCM_IT_OPERATOR
    Z:M_SAP_SOCM_REQUESTER
    Z:M_SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN
    Z:M_SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
    Z:M_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN
    Z:M_SAP_SV_SOLUTION_MANAGER
    Z:SAP_MAINT_OPT_ADMIN
SAP Note 1140822 resolved this issue.
We are able to forward the message to SAP.
    Regards
    Sanjai

  • I purchased the newest software update for my ipod touch 1st generation and it is saying it is it will now begin download but the status bar doesn't even appear? How can I start the download?

I purchased the newest software update for my ipod touch 1st generation and it is saying it is it will now begin download but the status bar doesn't even appear? How can I start the download?

Well first off you shouldn't have had to pay for a download (just an assumption from the word "purchased".
If you are trying to install iOS 5 on your iPod touch, it won't work they arent compatible. I suggest checking what version of software you are trying to install and posting it in this forum so people can have a better understanding.

  • Idoc Status 53 but Applicaton document not posted message type PORDCR

    Hi,
Need your help. I am using message type PORDCR and Basic type PORDCR04 to create Purchase order through inbound Idocs. I am getting correct status '53' Application document posted along with the new Purchase order number. When I am trying to see it in EKKO / or ME23N  I could not see this purchase order.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the possible reason for document is not getting posted in in database but Idoc status is correct.?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Deepak

check SM13 and ST22 to see if there are any errors there

  • Status YELLOW in the monitor

    Hello SDN,
I made some changes to my datasource in R/3 and tried to extract the data from BW with out replicating the Datasource. The load is running from long time and it is till showing the status 'YELLOW'. Now, I want to stop the load both on BW side and R/3 side. I would appreciate if someone can give me the step by step process to stop the load both at BW and R/3 side.
    Best Regards,
    Nene.

    Hi Nene,
If you want to stop the job First Goto Header tab in Monitor and copy the request and paste this in SM37 of R/3 system.
Then you can see the job which is in Acitive state.
Double click on that job go Job Deatails in menu bar and click on that now you can see Job information screen, there note down the Executing server  and
    WP number/PID  of that job.
Then go the T.code sm51> click on the server which you note down> then select the PID --> In menu bar goto Process and click on Cancel without Core. Then your job will cancel in SM37 aswell as in Monitor in BW.
    Hope will helpful..........
    cheers,
    Jana
