Overflow using Import package

Hi experts,
Has BPC some limits of records for one flat file (excel) in order to upload data using Import Package? If the answer is yes, could anybody tell me more info about it?
I tried run the package Import with one file .xls,  it has around 60 000 records, and i received one error of Overflow.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Juan

This may not be relate dto the IMPORT process, but rather the running of Defualt logic during the process.  I would try to load the data with the Defualt logic disabled. (you can always run it later) My guess ist thatthe scope of the logic exceeds the memory capacity of the server during the load, but after the data has been in-process of loading.
Try that and let us know.

  • Find jar file using imported packages

    Hi,
    Shall i know how to find jar name..I'm having imported files..
    For an eg,
    i'm having the below one..
    import org.bouncycastle.tools.openpgp.util.PGPParams;
    import org.bouncycastle.tools.openpgp.util.ProcessingEngine;How to find jar by using the above imported packages?

    You can't.
    Do you mean you want to download the BouncyCastle openpgp jars? If so then visit www.bouncycastle.org .

    I give up on the OP. He has been doing this pgp now for more than 10 weeks and he seems unable to do more than ask daft questions or repeatedly ask for code.Maybe he's Italian. I mean, Deepa is in Deepa Shita. ;-)

  • How to set classpath to use imported packages?

    Hi all,
    a real newbie question:
    I have created a class in which i import the java.io package. I can compile this class with the Oracle JDeveloper IDE (this is a variation on JBuilder).
    The problem is that i can't run this class because (most probably) the java.io package is not in the class path.
    Which jar file should i include in my classpath?
    jdk1.3\src.jar
    or jdk1.3\lib\tools.jar
    or jdk1.3\lib\dt.jar
    or ...
    Where can i find information on this? How can i find structure in the jungle of classes and packages?
    thanks, Bart

    If you want to execute this class file there are two ways you can do this:
    First set your environment PATH:
    Second you can explicitly state the classpath: for example
    change to the directory with the class file:
    cd c:\progra~1\Oracle\JDEVEL~1.0\MYCLAS~1
    while in the directory type
    java -classpath c:\progra~1\Oracle\JDEVEL~1.0\MYCLAS~1 HelloWorld
    Hope this helps.

  • Load of big files in BPC with import package

    HI,
    I need to import many files (.txt) with 1,5 million of data lines in BPC with import package.
    But BPC is limited to 500 000 lines for each import.
    Have you got a solution ?
    Thanks,
    Morgann

    Morgann,
    You have two options.
    1. use import into FACT table -> Cons : System will be offline.  Pros : faster performance. No limit
    2. if you should use import package,  split file and put it into one folder and create a custom package that will handle those data file one by one.      Cons : Need to make a custom package   Pros : No system offline.
    I hope it will help you.
    Thanks.

  • Import Package Error

    Hello All,
    I am getting a strange behavior using Import Package to load data into BPC. I load data into BPC in both LC and USD. When I load the data first time, it accepts transactions in both LC and USD. But when I load after the initial load, it errors out in CONVERT data with CURRENCY 'USD' and rejects transactions with USD Curriencies. USD is a valid currency and I have processed the currency dimension multiple times. Has anyone experienced this issue? I have processed the transformation file and also the conversion files and no issues with them.
    Thanks for your inputs!!

    Hi,
    I think that your FxTrans.lgl is included in your Default.lgl, and it is trying to convert your values at the same time that you are loading them. Do you require the FxTrans to always run? If not you can just comment it out and then you should not have an issue any more.
    Cheers,
    Andries

  • Import package with .* in jsp

    If i want to use HashMap in jsp page i need to have HashMap of util package in import statment in
    page directive.
    What is difference in Using
    a) <%@ page import="java.util.HashMap"%>
    b) <%@ page import="java.util.*"%>
    Is there any performance issue using importing package with .*

    Ofcourse there will be a performance issue. In the
    second case (<%@ page import="java.util.*"%>
    ) , you are loading all the classes in java.util
    package into your JSP, where as in the first case you
    are getting only HashMap. So the second option will
    affect the performance. Always import only the
    required classes.
    rgdsThen you have no idea how import works. The only difference at all would come at compile time. After the page is compiled, there would be no performance issue whatsoever.
    The main reason for doing one or the other way (same for any Java class) is clarity for those reading the code. Meaning if you use the full import, when they see "HashMap" in the code, they can look at the import statements and be sure that it's in java.util package. But generally, most people are going to be familiar with the classes in the common packages, like java.util. So I wouldn't generally list the specific classes if you are using more then one from the same package. There are other considerations where packages have classes of the same name (java.sql.Date & java.util.Date) but generally, I would always just put the full class name in the code.

  • How is the 'import-packages' information saved in the database, and how long?

    Hello,
    I am  developping a ECM Connector for Adobe LiveCycle ES, which is a customized component.
    1 - Who should I contact to have some specific support  ?
    There is no detailed information yet on this on the adobe site  (http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/w whelp.htm?href=000931.html&accessible=true) .
    If you  think that I should address my problem to another department of Adobe, please  tell me which department?
    I give you another description of my problem. In fact, I have  been investigating on it.
    2 - If I  put this in my component.xml file, in step  1:
    <component-id>com.rsd.adobe.livecycle.RSDFoldersConnector</component-id>
    <version>1.0</version>
    <import-packages><package  version="1.0">com.rsd.simpleApiFolders</package>  </import-packages>
    If I change the  version to 1.1 and remove the  'import-packages' (in step 2) , will the new component need the  com.rsd.simpleApiFolders package. It seems that is still needs it.
    3 - How is the  'import-packages' information saved in the  database, and how  long?
    In  fact, on thursday, I used 'import-packages'  to make a test. And since them, I  can not deploy any of my components.
    LiveCycle throws a  ClassNotFoundException.
    ALC-DSC-000-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.DSCRuntimeException:  Internal error.

    Regards.

    1 - Who should I contact to have some specific support  ?
    That would depend on your Adobe support contract and if your organization has a TAM assigned.  You should check with your organization's Adobe contact and see what support options your organization has purchased.
    Having said that, this forum has a few people that may be able to help (but the forum does not have a SLA associated with it)
    2 - If I  put this in my component.xml file, in step  1:
    <component-id>com.rsd.adobe.livecycle.RSDFoldersConnector</component-id>
    <version>1.0</version>
    <import-packages><package  version="1.0">com.rsd.simpleApiFolders</package>  </import-packages>
    If I change the  version to 1.1 and remove the  'import-packages' (in step 2) , will the new component need the  com.rsd.simpleApiFolders package. It seems that is still needs it.If your component class needs the simpleApiFolders class then yes, you still need it.  Think of import-packages like a class-path statement (but with packages and not jars).  Its not physically moving the package into your application, but allowing you to access it from another container.
    3 - How is the  'import-packages' information saved in the  database, and how  long?
    As far as I know they are not imported into the database. As I stated above, I believe that the import-packages just allows you to point to classes that are in the app server's classpath, but are not physically in you component jar file.  As long as that class is in the app server class-path (or in the Adobe EAR file) then you should be able to access it.  Is the jar file containing the simpleApiFolders class in the app server's lib directory?

  • USage of import java.util.* & using another package

    When we use import java.util.*; from where does JAVA take the class that are related to util, when I did search for "util" in my machine, I got about 50 results for folders named util and also some where in a folder called "java" when I opened it it did not have the classes, that I was expecting. So I am not clear where does it get the class files from. This is not only for this but for any import commands like import java.io.*;
    When we get another package or source code which was written in java and want to use it in our code where do we have keep the files ? eg. i have the java code that i m writing in c:\java then do I put all the downloaded related files in that folder and then run the code ? or i keep a folder inside java folder and then import them into my code ?
    please do advice.
    Thanks in advance.

    When we use import java.util.*; from where does JAVA
    take the class that are related to util,It means when you use a classname in your code, and that classname is neither in the same package as the class you're writing, nor imported specifically by classname, that it will search for it.
    Where it searches is every folder called util whose parent folder is called java which in turn is at the root level of one of the classpath elements. That is, if classpath contains "A" and "B", and you refer to a class called "Foo", then it will look for "A/java/util/Foo.class" and "B/java/util/Foo.class".
    search for "util" in my machine, I got about 50
    results for folders named util and also some where in
    a folder called "java" when I opened it it did not
    have the classes, that I was expecting. So I am not
    clear where does it get the class files from. This is
    not only for this but for any import commands like
    import java.io.*; All the java.* and javax.* and whatever else it part of the core API is in rt.jar, which lives inside the Java distribution. Classpath elements can be directories or jar files or zip files.

    can you elaborate more on this?
    I can open http://127.0.0.1:7101/Application15-Model-context-root/HelloWorldPort?wsdl
    on my browser.Is your browser on that Oracle server? You are instructing Oracle server code (the UTL_DBWS package) to access that URL.
    The IP in that URL is a localhost IP address - and that means using the local IP stack only. So it expects a web server on the Oracle server platform on tcp port 7101. It cannot use that IP to access your client/development machine.
    How can I test it using UTL_HTTP?You can write a basic web browser, minus the rendering engine, using UTL_HTTP. You can also use it for web service calls - which is my preference as I deem the UTL_DBWS package to clunky and complex.
    See:

  • Importing packages

    I have a question regarding import statement in java language. When I use import java.util.*; and use only say Date class in that package in my class, does java compiler import all the classes that belong to util package or only the class that I am using?

    and this string (java.util.* OR java.util.Date) is written
    (along with length of this string) into the byte-code.This is incorrect.
    $ cp /dev/tty Foo.java
    import java.util.Date;
    public class Foo {
       Date d;
    $ javac Foo.java
    $ mv Foo.class Foo1.class
    $ cp /dev/tty Foo.java
    import java.util.*;
    public class Foo {
       Date d;
    $ javac Foo.javaThe files Foo.class and Foo1.class are identical.

  • Import package from one project into another

    Hello everyone,
    I have some projects.
    An enterprise and war project created in netbeans.
    I would like to use some files from one project to another. when I import
    the package I get the error-
    'package x does not exist'
    I have added the package to the project but I still get the error.
    I have also added the project to import to my glasspath but still.
    E.g.
    set classpath
    .;c:\enterpriseA;
    My next idea is to create a war project into my enterprise project and copy the files
    from the war project into it in order to use it. But I'm sure there is a better way.
    THanking you in advance.

    One mistake I keep making is that I don't add the package to the
    Dependencies of the plugin I'm writing. You have to go to plugin.xml,
    and add the package you depend on to the Dependencies section. Maybe you
    didn't do this?

  • Using Oracle Packages in Oracle BI EE

    I am trying to replicate old Discoverer reports in Oracle BI EE. In the old Discoverer reports, they would include the package and function information in the SELECT statement of the SQL. When I try to import the database information in BI EE, I can only get table and view information, not the packages. How do you access and use Oracle packages in BI EE? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

    If you have OBIEE 10.1.3.3 OBIEE you can use BI built-in EVALUATE function to call user-defined functions in database.
    This function is intended for scalar and analytic calculations.
    Syntax: EVALUATE('DB_Function(%1)', <Comma separated Expression>)
    Example: SELECT e.lastname,sales.revenue,EVALUATE('dense_rank() over(order by %1 )',sales.revenue) FROM sales s, employee e;
