Overhead keys at Work center Level

Hi Experts,
Our client needs to assign the Overhead keys at work center level.
But what we know is, it possible only in Materail throghu overkead group. In simillar way is it possible to build a link to Workcenter.

    Control Key in Defaut value keys screen is mainly for defining how the work center will be used in routings.
    Almost in all the PP we define same Control key to the work center as well in the routing.
    For example in work center control Key PP01 is used to define Routings/Internal proc. activities. When we go to the routing screen even if we do not see our components, work centers or control key we have to manually enter these details ans here control Key will remain the same as it was in Work center.
    No. of individual capacity defines how many machines are there of the same type in the work center. E.g if I have 5 CNC machines then I will make One work center and in capacity screen I will put 5 as No. of individual Capacity.

    Hi,
    Formula key is used for calculating the execution time of an activity or for calculating capacity requirements or for calculating costs of a work center's activity type. It can be configured in transaction code OP54.
    What is the activity type description you are using?

  • Overhead for each Work center

    Hi all,
    Presently we are calaculating the overhead for the total operations in the service order.Now the requirement is client want to have overhead for each workcenter user in the service order.
    Lets say,there are 3 workcenters were used in the service order with 3 operations.Now instead of single overhead,they want three overhead in the order.I know this is not the right place to post this and I just thought some one could experianced this scenario in their projects.If so pl share with me.

    you can do this provided you have customized the costing sheet as per the requirement .Create separate Activity type for each work center with different cost element .
    while creating the costing sheet create separate base row for the respective cost element and then fix the overhead percentage

    As per my understanding control key work as a default value in Work center during the creation of work center.
    My question what is the objective or purpose to define the control key in Work Center.
    Actually i am in PS and i don't have much aware about this point why controlkey in WC.
    Pl help me because i have to provide the justification to my client.

    Now i explain the sitiuation , actually i have created the two work center but i have not given the control key input when my client has checked this he write me in mail where he has compared the this two newly created work center with previous existing work center where the control key input is exist .
    Now at this point he is asking me in what scenario we have to given the control key input during the creation of work center meaning what is the purpose of defining the control key in WC and if we do not give then what will be the impact in future.
    Pl help me in this so i could correctly explain the answer to client.

    I have created Work center Hierarchy, now want to see the cumulative capacity of subordinate work centers at Superior Work center level, but using cm01- std overview, i can't see.

    System is showing same error ,as 'There are no capacity requirements for the
    selection and settings'.
    what i have given input is Superior Work Center, Plant and Planner group.
    I didn't mentioned the capacity at superior WC.

  • Could not found any usage key in the work center WC001(Use T-CODE CR02)?

    my question:
    (1) I have created one Work Center WC001 and one Plant HJW1.
    (2) I have created one Routing with T-CODE CA01.
    (3) Then I use T-CODE CA02 to change this Routing.
    (4) When I enter the Head details screen,I click the Operations button to enter the Operations Overview screen.
    (5) In the Operations Overview screen list,I input the Work Center WC001 and the Plant HJW1 at the first line and press enter.Then the sap raise error message like below.
    (6) The question was: I could not found any usage key in the work center WC001(Use T-CODE CR02)! Could any one tell me the answer or give me some advice to resolve the problem?Thank you so much.

    Diagnosis
    You want to allocate the work center WC001 to a task list of the type N . However this work center is not intended to be used in a task list of the type N.
    Procedure
    The usage of a work center in task lists is restricted via the usage key. You define this key in work center customizing and allocate to it those task list types in which a work center with this usage key can be used.
    Proceed as follows:
    Check the usage key for the work center WC001 in work center maintenance.
    If necessary change the usage key in the work center or change the allocation of task list types to the usage key in customizing or
    allocate to the task list a work center which is valid for use in a task list of the type N.

    Hi
    1) Check what task list usage key you entered for the work center in the basic data . If it is 009 then the work center can be used in all task list type.
    2) If you have defined and used any other usage key , ensure that  for this key , the routing type N is allowed in OP45.

  • Production Order confirmation/ work center activity type calcuation

    In the parameters defined through standard value key in work center, we have defined ZZI_06 which calculates its value based on the other parameter using a formula as shown below.
    change over ZZI_01     ZZI_01     
    startup          ZZI_02     ZZI_02     
    run-time        ZZI_03     ZZI_03 * ZZI_09 / ZZI_08 / ZZI_11     
    overheade    ZZI_06     ( ZZI_03  + ( ZZI_01 + ZZI_02 ) / 2 )     
    After confirmation when we checked in C014 we noticed that the overhead hours calculation ZZI_06 was always picking the planned parameter values(from the routing) and not the actual values from CO11N. 
    Just wondering if the reason for this is the way I defined the formula or am I missing any setting?
    Ideally I am looking for value of  ZZI_06 calculated from values of the ZZI_01, ZZI_02, ZZI_03 which I enter in the CO11N screen.

    Dear,
    You cannot assign more then one workcenter to a one operation.
    But you can assign to a sub operation,i.e to operation one workcenter and to suboperation anotherworkcenter.
    For Sub-operation:
    Go to task list change >>> Operation tab.
    Let say your first operation number is 0010. Then below it for next operation change operation number to 0010 and next to it there is field for sub-operation give there number 0001 or 0010 as per your requirement. Select suitable control key and work center, give description and press enter. your sub operation 0001 will be created for operation 0010.

    Hi all,
    I have 2 work centers liked to a superior work center in a hirarchy.
    Is it possible to do capacity planning at the superior work center level.
    The scenario is like this - I will get planned order at a superior work center level. I will  convert the planned order into 2 production orders with child work centers in respective order.
    Now I want that, when I see the capacity overview for the superior work center, it should be full. That means I want to link the capacities of the child work centers to the parent work center. 
    Please let me know if it is possible ?

    Hi,
    Work center hierarchies are used in capacity planning to cumulate available capacity and capacity requirements. You can cumulate available capacities from subordinate work centers to a superior work center level in order to determine the total available capacity for the superior work center.
    In your situation, I think you need to create two planned orders with the two work centers and after this you will be able to see the capacity requirements cumulated at the superior WC.

        enhancement is available for this purpose:
        COOMKS01 Cost Center: customer-specific additional fields in the master
        record
        This enhancement includes the following enhancement components:
        o   EXIT_SAPLKMA1_001
            CO-OM customer exit for PBO of customer-specific subscreen "0399" in
            SAPLKMA1.
        o   EXIT_SAPLKMA1_002
            CO-OM customer exit for PAI of customer-specific subscreen "0399" in

  • Work Center not appearing in CM25 display

    Hi All,
    We have three work centers assigned to three consecutive operations in a planned order of plant XX. We have a Z  (modifed version of SAPCRPG001)overall profile in CM25 with the initial selection screen where we give plant XX as the input and execute the transaction. In the output we are able to see only the data of the first workcenter whereas the other 2 doesnt appear at all.
    However when viewing the same in standard profile SAPCRPG001, we are able to see the data for all the three work centers. (Red Bar graphical view)
    We are unable to find out how Z profile is restricting the 2 work centers from getting displayed in CM25 output for a given planned order.
    I have compared the first work center with the other 2 and could confirm that there is no any change at work center level.
    What could be the issue ?

    Thank you for the above message. We have checked the above settings and observed that it is for selection screen setup. However i would like to clarify once again the actual issue, that i am facing.
    I have 3 work centers in a process order (as shown in attached image 1)
    . Each have different operation time. When i view this order in CM25 using standard profile SAPCRPG001, i am able to see three workcenters with respective loads along with the red bars in the graphical view (as shown in attached image 2).
    Now, when i use the Z profile instead of standard SAP profile, I am able to see only one work center with its load and corresponding red bar in the graphical view (as shown in attached image 3). I am fine with seeing only one work center, but i would like see the cumulative load of all the three work centers against this work center i.e the red bar should be longer and euqivalent to the sum of loads of the three work centers.
    I have explained the same in the attachment file with relevant screen shots. Please advice.

    Hi all,
    I have a problem with Capacity of Work center (WC).
    I have a Internal Activity, and i assigned a WC for this Internal Activity. WC's capacity is 100H/day for 1 number of element.
    Work of this WC is 250H, duration 5 days, number of element 1. Default capacity of this WC is distributed by Distribution Key define in Activity. . And they are divided equally between factory days in 5 day. That is capacity requirement is 50H/Day
    So, i want to edit this WC's capacity following value:
    Day 1: 100H/day
    Day 2: 50H/day
    day 3: 0H/day
    day 4: 0H/day
    day 5: 100H/day
    How can i do it?? I try to use Dispatch Manually but i cant solve this problem.
    Please help me for this case.

    Capacity leveling depends on some of the basic set up of Capacity Requirement Planning .You need to have proper CRP set up frist .
    Couple of check points : -
    Did you work centre is relevent for finitie scheduling in CR02-Capacity Header and wht is the over laod percentage for work centre ?
    Did you have Capacity Requirement Related Set up like Over all profile , time profile , Startegy Profile -OPD0?
    Did your Capacity Check -OPJK -Order Control at order level are active for availibilty Check 1 and 2 and assinged Over all Profile ?
    Set up :
    1.Please assing a operation control key like PP01 where Details Capacity Check and scheduling is active .
    2.In CR02-Work centre -Capacity Header -You should have Follow check box marked
    1.Releven for Finitie Scheduleing
    2.Can be used for multiple Operation
    3.
    3.OPU3/OPU5 -Define Scheduling paramter -Mark Scheduling and Capcity Check for planned order or production Order
    4.In SPRO -Shop Floor Control-Define Production Scheduling Profile -You need to matian the relevent Parameters like
    1.Schedueling Automatically 2.Scheduling Log 3.Adjust Scheduling -Basic date , Depedent Requirement date 4.Scheduling Type -Backward etc .
    These are all basic level set up beside CRP overall profile and other profile like strategy /time etc which may in place as you are analysing in CM01.

    How to dispatch operation to do Capacity Leveling at Work Centre Level :
    1.Frist Check the  over load at work centre . Goto -CM07/CM05-give plant only -then hit the Stnadard view -You will find weekly or daily baiss load ( Requirement , Avaliable Capcity , Overlaod etc )
    2.Check the week in which days you are tring to dipatch -if you selet the week check box and double clik it will show u all the dataiul load .Basde on the available capacity in other week-days u need to dipatch in CM22/CM31  or CM25/CM21
    While dipatching in CM22/CM31-Select the Stragegy button on the top header -Mark Date entry when dispatching  so that when you select the operation of any production order or planned order for certain work centre , it will pop with window having information of Date , Work Centre , Time .Onec you did this you will receive Scheduling log with certain information .
