Overlapping of Pages while printing

Hi,
I have created a smartform. When I see the pages in the Print preveiw , It's showing correctly with different pages. But when I print in the Printer ,nearly 124 pages were overlapped, and printed in a single page. What would be the reason and solution for this problem?. I need it as like in print preview.

Blank pages while printing in BO6.5.1

Hi,
I'm trying to create a Business objects report 6.5 with more tables and cells than will fit across one page. This results blank pages while printing, Is there any option to fit the cells and Tables into the first page that extended to the second page.
Any one having the idea regarding kindly let me know.

Hello,
BLANKPAGES specifies whether to suppress blank pages when you print a report. Use this keyword when there are blank pages in your report output that you do not want to print.

Another solution would be the use of srw.abort_program:
If there is no data, the report is not run:
SRW.PROGRAM_ABORT needs to be called from a format trigger and since any object within repeating frame ( based on main query) will not be formatted unless there is data, So need to have a "Boilerplate Text" outside of Frame and placed at "Main Section"-> "Body". This Text object will have Following format Trigger.

Here return (false) as do not want to print the text.
data_yn is a user parameter variable, Not exposed to user or at Parameter Page.
There is PL/SQL Filter Written at the Main Query at Data Modal as
function G_EMPNOGroupFilter return boolean is

This Helps in setting data_yn to Y is there is data returned by the underlying Query. by default this is Null.
So when Report is executed by passing 2 as value to 'no', Query does not returns any row, So PL/SQL filter will not run and while formatting Blank report, format trigger of the "Text Object" will raise exception to abort report, thus no output.
Similarly if there is data returned by Query then PL/SQL filer will set 'Y' to data_yn and "Text object" format trigger will not raise Exception.

Need to resequence the pages while Printing

Hi,
I have a PDF with 4 pages but while printing, I want to print them in the order of pages as 3, 4, 1 and 2. This is just an example. I even have a PDFs with 100 pages which has to print in the order of pages as 99, 100, 97, 98 and so on.
Can anyone guide me on, how to implement and automate this sequencing during printing?

This question really has nothing to do with the PDF specification. You
might get better results asking in the Acrobat forum. However, have
you looked at imposition software, such as QuiteImposing, as a
possible solution?

Report gives more pages while printing

A report looks 29 pages online (oracle Apps) but while printing it is giving me 35 pages.

Smartform generating more than one page while printing

Good evening everyone.
I have created a smartform and now I am trying to print it. I have executed RSTXPDFT4 program in SE38 and entered the spool number and saved my smartform. But now my smartform is having more number of pages even though in print preview there is only one page. The same page is repeating again and again. Whats might be the problem? Please help.

As I said before when executing RSTXPDFT4 and trying to save the smartform to my system then it is showing many pages and that too the first page is not at all the output of my smartform and the rest are my smartform output which is repeating. I don't know from where it has come. I think there is some problem in my smartform itself.
But if I go into SP01 then it is showing only one page that too the first page which is not my smartform output.

Part of page "image" overlaps the page when printed. How do I fix this?

When printing from Acrobat 10.1.5, part of the contents of the page prints on top of the page itself. In my most recent case, the page is landscape. The portion of the page that overprinted is from the bottom center about 1 inch wide and 4 inches tall. It ended up on the top right of my page.
Portrait example - a similar sized "piece" from the middle of the 8.5" length, about 1 inch tall and 4 inches wide printed on the top left of my portrait page.
I have tried the quick fix - print as image - but that doesn't change anything. Help!

You can check the properties of that calender option and if there is an option of opening the calender in the same page ,then please select that.
Or is it with the help of button option you have created the calender?

Smartform error while printing page wise.

while printing from smartforms , if i select particular page in page selection option.
its giving error - No output request open. End not possible.
i have used SSF_OPEN and SFF_CLOSE functional module.

Few columns in ALV report while printing move to next page

While printing, 14 columns are printing in first page and the next 5 cols in next page, how do u resolve this to accommodate all the 19 columns in a single page?

You can optimize your coloumn width in the layout like -
gd_layout-colwidth_optimize = 'X'.

Preview : error while printing several pages per sheet

I have a pdf file from which I would like to get a pdf with several pages per sheet. I cannot do that using acrobat through printing into a pdf file because it tells me to save it first ! So, as I did before upgrading my OS from SL to Lion, I tried to do it with Preview. The problem is that I get the following message "Error while printing" and no more information.
- I tried with an other pdf file and I got the same problem.
- Printing one page per sheet is OK, either into a pdf file or to an actual printer.
- Printing several pages per sheet from Acrobat to a printer is working fine.
- I asked to a colleague who is still using SL to do the same procedure with my file and it worked fine.
My conclusion is that there is something fishy with Preview under Lion.
Does anyone get into the same trouble than me ? Is there a solution even an alternative one ?

In the printing configuration window, I selected Layout and then 2 pages per sheet, save in Pdf, select a directory and name then save. At the end of the process, I got the printing error message. Looking at the /var/log/system.log, I got an error message concerning PMSessionEndDocumentNoDialog() returning 1282.
I am using past because I do not have the problem anymore. My MBP is a bit funny since the Lion upgrade. It looks like windows : from time to time, I get the black screen telling me that I should press the switch on button (like the famous blue screen).
I am suspecting that XQuartz (last update) is messing-up somehow my laptop (system crashes happened when it was launched or even when it was starting).

Page number problem while printing

We are unable to get the page number while printing from SAP, we are trying to print a word document from SAP and when it prints the page numbers do not appear properly. if we save the document to the desktop and print, it prints properly.
We print to a Xerox 7345 printer...we have loaded the exact driver, but still does not print. Can anything be done from UNIX side for this.
the page number appear as 0/9 0/9...where it should appear as 1/9, 2/9..etc..
Any help is highly appreciated, Hope there are some good Basis guys out here.

When trying to export a pages document, it say error while printing....

When trying to export a pages document, it says 'error while printing' when I want to save as PDF. I used to be able to do it but for some random reason it won't let me anymore. Even when the printer is not plugged in or turned on it says it. Is there a setting I can change? Does anyone know how to fix as i can't email any documents and I don't know what else to do. Please help its driving me crazy.....

thank you, I can't print or save any old pages documents. I will create a new one and see if that helps. I have tried from the print dialog but it says the same thing. I will try something in another application. Could it have been when I updated pages? I only recently got broadband so did a heap of updates that were a bit overdue.

How can I stop Firefox 4 from displaying "The document cannot change while Printing or in Print Preview" from appearing every time I click on File/Page Preview?

Clicking on File/Page Preview in Firefox 4 brings up a warning dialog "The document cannot change while Printing or in Print Preview" every time. How can I stop this from happening? It is very annoying, and it is necessary to click "OK" on this dialog twice before it will go away. Thank you.

Does it behave that way in [[Safe Mode]] ?

HP Deskjet 5568 WiFi Printer - Last page gets stuck while printing

I bought a HP Deskjet 5568 two days ago. I have printed nearly 50 pages already.
I am having a problem while printing "manually" on both sides. It prints the odd pages first from back to front. While printing the last page (the first page of the document), the printer gets stuck. The page is halfway in and the printer just stays there. If I pull out the page, the 'orange' resume light blinks; if I press it, the printing restarts.
The problem is that after it gets stuck, the printer doesn't print anything. I have to delete the print job and now I have to print the other 'even' pages myself.
Please help me. Is the paper getting stuck part of the printing process (stupid question)? I don't actually think it's getting "stuck," I think the printer doesn't allow the page to come out for some reason as the page is actually fully printed (the data is all there).
I have also noticed that this only happens while printing in "manual" two-sided mode.
Also, I can't edit the printing shortcuts in the printer control panel. If I change the paper size to A4, the next time I open the control panel, it is once again set to Letter. Why is this?

PDF export from Pages fails "Print - error while printing"

Every month I have been generating PDF versions of my invoices by using the 'export' function of Pages. This has always worked fine without any problems.
Today (end of Feb 08), the pdf export function always fails with 'Print - error while printing". A pdf file is saved to disc but it is corrupted and unreadable. I can still export as rtfd.
I don't see anything about this in the logs, but I do notice that there was a Pages software update to 3.0.2 earlier this month.
Anybody know how to fix this?

Before re-installing, it may be useful to
a - repair permissions with Disk Utility
b - trash the preferences file: <bootVolume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Pages.plis t
if it's not sufficient, try to print from an other user account.
If it works this way, you will know that the application's files are not the wrongdoers as every account calls the same application file.
