Override Link Class in "Other CSS" Box

Hi -is there a way to override the class of a link in the "other styles" box for a component?
My example is this:
I use a skin with a dark header. The text for the widgets in the header are white (Administration, etc)
The body of the site is white.
When I put another widget that uses the same class (x106 in this case) it makes the link color white and you can't see it on the page.
I've tried many ways to go into the "other CSS" box (under the style tab) and none seem to work.

That's not exactly the problem. I know what the classes are (x106 and x107).
The problem is that I am trying to use two "widgets" or ADF components (like the login/logout or My Favorites links) on two different background colors.
I cannot get into the code of the ADF component to tell it to use a different class.
Also, if I change the class (x106 for example) it changes ALL of them.
What I think I need is a way to override the CSS for the link in the "Other CSS" box for that component somehow (I've tried many things - can't figure it out and not sure it can be done). I would think that this would override the class in the skin.
In short - what I'm asking, I guess, is this.
IS there a way to override the CSS LINK color for an ADF template component - OTHER THAN in the Skin's CSS file.

Document Classes and other Questions

Basically, i am working on an application that will eventually be deployed to the desktop as an AIR application.
I am wanting to create an Analogue clock and Digital clock with a button that toggles the display between either one when pressed. As well as this, i will be wanting to display the Date below, i am having a number of issues however.
I have the code sorted for three of the four components, i have not attempted to figure out the button thus far as i would be more than happy to have the digital clock, analogue clock and date all being displayed on a drag and drop desktop application first. When i say i have it sorted, i have a fully working analogue clock which i have managed to display on the desktop through air on its lonesome, however, i did not include the drag and drop function. For the digital clock and date components i am not sure how to configure them into document classes. The main issue i am having is i do not know if you can reference a dynamic text box within a movie clip to a document class.

I have put the actionscript frame inside the movie clip file, and i have given both the movie clip, and the dynamic text box within the movie clip the instance name "date_text".
Basically, i am just struggling in how to put this code into a working document class, since the digital clock and date functions are both, some what similar, i feel the solution to one will more than likely lead to me discovering the solution for the other.
The other problem i am having, i do not know how i will display all of the components on one air application. I am assuming, that you create one other document class file which links the other four together? i have tried to do this by just linking a new FLA file with the analogue clock, but it does not work. The code for that is below.

This is my attempt at creating the main document class in a seperate FLA file to attempt to load the analogue clock, and later on the Digital Clock, Date Function and Toggle Display button in the same AIR application.
Any help on this is much appreciated, i have been reading up a lot on it through tutorials and the like, but i can't seem to fully grasp it.

why do you have code in a movieclip?
if you want to follow best practice and use a document class you should remove almost all code from timelines. the only timeline code that might be reasonably used would be a stop() on the first frame of multiframe movieclips.
so, you should have a document class. that could contain all your code but it would be better to just have your document class create your 2 clocks and date objects and possibly manage toggling between the two clocks. you could have a separate class the tracks the time and date and that class is used by your two clock classes and your date class.

Quick CSS box question

Firstly a very Merry Christmas to you all !
I'm just getting to grips with converting all the text on my
site to CSS and have a quick question.
On some of my pages I add an 'Also see' links box aligned to
the right - it's a CSS div tag thingy someone kindly talked me
through once. All of my pages are built from a template with an
editable region.
My question is, can I add this box (perhaps with a standard
'Also check out' title and then spaces for my links) at the
template level? This will save me having to go to Insert>Layout
Objects>DivTag on every page. I've tried simply adding this to
the editable region of the template but it simply pushed the
editable region box over to the right and then didn't appear on my
pages
Also, the links box would ideally appear about half way down
my pages on the right...

Your CSS link implies that the CSS file is in the Templates
folder. You
shouldn't have anything there other than the template (dwt)
files
themselves. Please move it out to any other location in your
site.

My CSS box doesn't seem to be pushing the text out of the way

Hi guys,
Have
a look here
I've just managed to get CSS boxes working on my site, and as
you'll see have applied them to the right hand side of a number of
pages and added links. I looked at the site locally and online last
night from my machine and everything seemed to be working as
expected.
However, I've just got to work and had a look at some of the
pages and the text box A - doesn't seem to have extended enough to
surround all of the linked text and B - doesn't seem to have pushed
the surrounding text out of the way enough so now there's a
horrible overlapping this going on.
As I have set the box's height properties to something like
150 (can't quite remem) I'm assuming this is what is causing A and
B? So, how do I then set the box's properties so that it will
shorten or lenghten depending on how much text I put inside it -
just leave the height property field blank?

Yes. The answer is to never set the height of a box which
contains text
(unless its for a scrolling area). Let the amount of text
within the box
determine the height.

Add a hyperlink to a css box? not sure what exactly do you mean. However, you can add a hyperlink in your html code like this:

Override SWC classes in FB?

I have a Flash Pro project with numerous items in the Library linked to Class files.
I can successfully export a SWC and use the items in Flash Builder.
However, how would one override the Class in the SWC with a new one n FB?
Currently, to edit the Class, I have to open up the project in Flash Pro, edit the Class and export the SWC again. Only then will I see the changes.
When I try to put a new Class in Flash Builder with the same name as the one in the SWC, it will run that new Class but the assets of the Library item are not there.
Hopefully I am missing something obvious.

This is a working hack but I would still prefer a better way!
In Flash Builder I create a Class that is near-to but not exactly the same as the original Class from the SWC.
In this Class I make it extend the original Class in the SWC.
eg:
Class in SWC: SomeClass.as
Class in FB: SomeClassExt.as
In SomeClassExt I use:
public class SomeClassExt extends SomeClass{
I still need to test this out further but so far so good. Obvious or not.
One thing I should mention, at least with my current example I need to remove a listener or the Class fires twice:
removeEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE,Init);
So why do I not remove the Class from the Library item in Flash Pro to begin with?
I built all the items and their Classes in Pro. Moving to FB for this project is recent.
I can still test the functionality of the Classes in Flash Pro doing it this way and Not have to put them all in the same project folder in FB.
Again, I would still prefr a better way to just override the SWC's Class and not have to create new Class Names in FB. This requires a lot of changes to an otherwise functional application.

Overriding super class methods @ OIM 9x

I'm working on a requirement where I need to override superclass method in sub class.The problem is, method defined in sub class is not getting called by OIM.
My question more looks like Pure Java related,but as it is OIM which uses Struts, calling of ActionForward methods defined in

Super class is OUT OF BOX class and sub class is I m developing.Both superclass & subclass having the protected Map getKeyMethodMap() method with same declaration.

How to Modify Override Handler class in jsse.jar

Hi,
Is there a way to change port number in Handler class in jsse.jar and recompile the Java file, or override the class?
The Handler class seems to be using port number 443, whereas the the Webserver of PS Application is using a different port number (7004).
Any ideas.

You're over-thinking this. The Handler class uses whatever port it is told to use by the person that constructs it. 443 is just the default.
All you have to do is put the required port number into the https URL, e.g. https://www.myhost.com:7004.

Your class seems to be in the wrong folder structure.
instead of sepact/sepact-app/com/citi/gts/alto/accountservice/service/ it needs to be in com/citi/gts/alto/accountservice/service/ which matches the folder structure.

CSS Box Problem

Have some performance issues on Windows XP, too.
I am using d3d prism settings to render on Windows 7 and XP. On Windows 7 everything working fine.
On Windows XP it is slow and sometimes flickering.
I didn't find a solution.
1) Tried to start the application with other prism settings like -Dprism.order=d2d and OpenGL.
2) I changed the 3d graphic settings that made it better, but didn't solve the issue.
Someone knows the difference of rendering the javafx application in Windows 7 and XP (DirectX 11, DirectX9.0c)?

I'm not sure what you mean by "the + box". Is that a feature on one of your toolbars?

How can I get Home Share to work for iTunes?? I've followed the instructions but one I have activated Home Share, there is no "Shared" heading to link to my other computer. It (the word "Shared") disappears after I turn on Home Share.

I followed the instructions, but once I turn on "Home Sharing", the word "Shared" disappears from the left hand column of the iTunes window. So, where can I link to my other computer so I can share my music??

Make sure that the iTunes version is updated on your computers that you are using for Home Sharing. Also, I think that all of the computers have to be on with iTunes pulled up while you are trying to transfer data.
You have to have Home Sharing turned on with both computers. If you do have Home Sharing turned on with all of your computers, are your 'Shared' computers all authorized under the same account? If not, they should be.
Have you checked 'Share my library on my local network' in preferences? You should have the box checked for both computers.

Configuring SAP 4.6x Internet mail Gateway
SAP can be configured to send and receive emails from different sources.This section explains how to integrate SAPOffice with an external emailsystem. Your Internet email must be configured and running prior to this.Email from SAP is forwarded to the users external email system..
You can configure inbound and outbound forwarding. Outbound flow forwardsa SAP message (eg: update termination) via UNIX sendmail to the intended recepient. Inbound accepts a message from sendmail and places it in the users SAPOffice inbox. Many companies prefer to configure outbound only.

Testing whether your configuration is successful

3. Write a message and send it to <your_internet_email_address>
4. If you don't see the mail in your internet mailbox, go back and review steps 1-12
Schedule the SAP Internet Mail Gateway Jobs to start every 5 minutes

Problems that you might encounter :-
If you have set up a node in SCOT and it tests out well but recieve the reply.
"Cannot process message in node, parameterscannot be converted".
Make sure the RFC connection is working, and that SapConnect has been installed on the Unix Server or the Microsoft Exchange Server. Originally, I had the same error, and found that nothing had been installed on Unixor Exchange, to support SapConnect.
In SCOT (View -> System Status), your mail remains at the Intransit column.
Check you sendmail.cf files (e.g.Sun Solaris /etc/mail/sendmail.cf). Try using the sendmail command to send a test file at the Unix level. You must be able to send mail at theUnix level before you can send mail at the SAP level.

ConversionManager - Override and Class Loader Issues

We are using Toplink 10.1.3 deployed withiin 10gAS 10.1.3.
We have overridden the ConversionManger as documented in tips.
1. MyConversionManager extends ConversionManager.
2. We have overriden convertObject
3. We have a pre-login SessionEventAdapter that sets the ConversionManager.
We have had issues of classloading within the application previously, particularly where we have two versions of our application deployed on the same App Server instance (potentially with differing versions of MyConversionManager).
For this reason we only set the ConversionManager within the preLogin event on the Session as follows:

We no longer set the default conversion manager, as my understanding was that this would set it at the root level within the OC4J instance (meaning that each deployment would override the previous).
Additionally, we have had to sepcify the class loader to use, within the ovverriden convertObject method, as otherwise start up of Toplink falied, as it was unable to solve references to application classes specified within class indicator mappings. We do this as follows:

super.setShouldUseClassLoaderFromCurrentThread(true);
The only know issue with this, is that if I try and use OEM to veiw the Toplink Cache, I just get and AnnotatedClassNotFoundException as it is attempting to use the system class loader (that does not contain our Application classes).
Two questions therefore:
1. Is the deployment we have now stable, i.e. overriding the class loader within the overriden Conversion Manager, and only loading this against the session??
2. How can I get mutiple versions of the application to still work, together with being able to view the Toplink Cache from within OE:M.
Any help or insight, would be greatly appreciated.

Looks fine, you may also wish to investigate using Converters in your mappings instead of customizing the ConversionManager.
For the OEM issue, try setting the class loader to be your application class loader instead of the thread one, i.e. MyAppClass.getLoader().
