Overseas: 2 iphones, only one picking up service

hey quick problem, I have 2 iphones over here on my vacation, a 3g and a regular one. The problem is that the regular one is picking up the cell phone carriers over here(vodaphone) automatically but my 3g recognizes the different networks, but does not allow itself to connect to it even when i click on the carrier in the settings. What is causing this, I'm pretty sure the settings are set tthe same, but i could be wrong. please let me know

It does show each iPhone as separate iPhones.
There is no device limit for the number of iPods and/or iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and same iTunes account on the same computer.
Each iPhone can have different sync preferences with iTunes on the same computer. This is selected under the various tabs for the iPhone sync preferences with each iPhone.
For music, you can create an iTunes playlist or multiple playlists for the music you want transferred to your iPhone only. Under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences, choose selected playlists, genres, and artists. Select the iTunes playlist or playlists in the window below that you want transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.
The same under the Podcasts, Video, Photos, and Applications tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Your wife does the same with her iPhone.

window Name property should not contain anything.I am not sure which one is the right resource but do some trial and error.
I suggest not to change the standard resources but create a custom one

Duplicated calendars on iPhone - only one syncs

On my iPhone my calendars are showing three times. Only one of them seem to sync with iCal. Is there someone who can tell me how I can solve this problem?

Sorry for the silent treatment over here - this problem has gotten me and thousands of other frustrated iPhone owners..
This solution isn't 100%, but it's worked well enough for me:
Have you tried disabling your iPhone's MobileMe contact & calendar syncing? You can still sync them through iTunes, but having MobileMe syncing on will produce duplicates. Triplicates, even.
On your iPhone, go to: Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/[your Me account], and turn off contact and calendar syncing. Only sync these through iTunes.
I still have all the duplicates from my own dual-sync experience, and I'm not sure how to get rid of them, short of manually deleting them all. I just ignore them.

Only one pick slip copy prints despite copy count = 2

I am at a loss on this one and am hoping some of you might have seen this issue.
We have our pick slips printing to a network printer and the copy count is set to 2 in the concurrent management details, but when it prints, only 1 copy prints to the printer. We have tried two different printers and this only started happening since we upgraded our servers from Windows to Linux.
Any ideas?

Hi Luko -
I did change this profile option - although they were already manually setting it to 2. It still only prints 1 copy. I have found that if I change the driver in CUPS it affects the number of copies:
HP LaserJet Series PCL 4/5, 1.3 - prints TWO copies but the sides are cut off
HP LaserJet Series PCL 6 CUPS - prints ONE copy with correct formatting.
Do you know why this might be?

Hyperion workspace log-in issue for only one (in Shared Services) active di

Hi All,
This is Raj, working as Hyp support analyst.
I have big issue in Hyperion production environment. (version No. 9.3.1)
Issue is, we had issues with TWO active directories of Hyperion Shared Servces which ad1 and ad2. We found that the TWO respective active directories (ad1 and ad2) of their hosts are not working.
After that we changed those two active directories hosts with new host names respectively. We have implemented these changes in DEV first and those TWO active directories user able to access Hyperion workspace (HFM users) which are under ad1 active directory. offcourse we have all the servers as well.
But ad2 users are NOT able log-in to the Production workspace but they are able to log-in with DEV workspace.
Not really sure what happened... (Please note that, No access is changed for any of the users)... if it is LDAP issue...how it to resolve...
Can some one please help oout in this...

Hi,
Those error messages usually happen when Shared Services has just started up and before the other services have started, it sends out a ping to see if it gets a response from the other application servers, the pings will fail until the other services have started, once they have started them messages should disappear.
I would check that if any changes have happened to your MSAD or the account that shared services uses.

Gmail accounts added to iphone. only one account will work.

I have a new iphone5. I have 2 gmail accounts. I can only add one account but it will not accept my other account either by itself or with the other account. the second account that won't be accepted is protected by the google verification code. Any ideas?

HT1430 iPhone only recognizes one home wifi network but ipad recognizes both

I have two home wifi networks. My iphone only recognizes one wifi which is the slower. Ipad recognizes both. I've turned router off and on and turned iphone off and on and makes no differences. Also ipad used to pick up unsecured wifi networks but no longer does

I would follow these steps for when you're unable to locate a Wi-Fi network on your iOS devices:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap i and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.

How to restrict only one instance of web service running at a time

Have a requirement to ensure that only one instance of java web service is active at any point of time.
Using Application Server 10.1.3.4. Not the soa suite.

I have a java web service that pulls up some files produced periodically from remote machine and uploads them to some doc mgmt system and then update the database that what files are uplaoded successfully so that during next run it will ignore those files.
so, if my web service executes second time before completion of first run. It would pick files that were already processed by first run since the first run might have not updated the databse yet.

Why can I only sync my iPhone on one computer???

I was just wondering why I can only sync music onto my iPhone from one computer?? and not multiple like you can with the iPods?? I'm getting really frustrated because i have music on my home computer and 2 other laptops!

I am unsure on how I interpret the rule wrong, but here is a copy of the actual rule which I made a link to in my previous post.

When I read this, I understand it that the word Products refers to content on iTunes. But it could possibly interpreted differently.

For example, I have had two verizon email accounts on my iPhone for some time, each originally set up with the default "incoming.verizon.net" and "outgoing.verizon.net" for receive/sending email. Suddenly, without my changing anything in my settings, my "[account-1]" account would not work via iPhone (yet still worked via desktop PC)- it was not until I completely deleted the "[account-1]" account from my iPhone and recreated it that it would work, HOWEVER, iPhone AUTO-creation process for this POP account settings now picked up "pop.verizon.net" and smtp.verizon.net" instead of the previous standard "incoming.verizon.net" and "outgoing.verizon.net" settings. (Yet "incoming.verizon.net" and "outgoing.verizon.net" is still necessary for all other verizon accounts, as well as for my "[account-1]" on desktop PCs) Has someone, for example, affected (illegally...?) a redirection of my "[account-1]" mail through other servers...? To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps first
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you have registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you have selected iMessage for use. Learn more about troubleshooting iMessage registration if the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. Learn more about troubleshootingcellular data or a Wi-Fi connection if a data connection isn't available.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.

Why is the iPhone enabled on only one computer?

I have an iMac and a MacBook. A recent formatting and reinstallation of OS X plus all Applications, Settings and other supporting data on the MacBook (from the iMac) now has the two systems virtually identical.
Question 1: Why is it that the iPhone can only be enabled (paired, connected, whatever) with only one of these two computers? (Yes, I know about Mobile Me, but don't want to use the service.) Assuming the iMac is my primary connection to the iPhone, what happens if I'm on a two-week trip and the iPhone goes bonkers?
Question 2: Will I be wise just starting everything using the laptop? Problem there is that the laptop is not my everyday go-to computer.
This will be my first iPhone. Thanks in advance for your insight and suggestions.

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.
