Overview of Actions IT0000

Hi All,
We are executing our upgrade from 46C to ECC 6.0. When executing PA20 and the 'Overview' button for Actions (IT0000) no results are returned to the Overview Screen. However, when executing PA20 with the 'eyeglass' button actions are present and I'm able to scroll through the Action History.
I've checked Notes for settings with no luck. Maybe someone has experienced this condition.

we had the same problem with ECC 5.0. The solution was report RPUEVSUP that needed to be executed to activate the IT 302 (Additional Actions) which is needed for the overview.

The client Scenario is that they want Earned leaves (absence Quota type 0002 and 0003) and Half-Pay leave (Absence Quota 0004) semi-annually.
Whenever an action is run (whether with employee status active or inactive) the absence quota is generated twice:
1.     Last day of previous action
2.     Last day of evaluation period.
Main issue is that when it is reflected in IT-2006 it is summing up the quota generated on both the above said dates.
Also the quota that is generated on the last day of the evaluation period is not prorated but for the entire accrual period.
When the employment status of an action is inactive; the quota is generated upto the last date of previous active action, but if any other action is executed with employee status as u201Cactiveu201D in the same accrual period and time evaluation is run; the quota gets generated again on the last date of accrual period for the entire accrual period i.e. the inactive period is also taken into consideration. Moreover, both the quota generated are added up and displayed in IT-2006.
Kindly advice me the solution for the same.

Leaving Action Date not refleting properly

Dear Expert,
We have implementing Germany Payroll for our client. We have created the actions like - Deputation Initiation, End of Deputation which is similar to Hiring & Leaving.
While executing End of Deputation action, system is not taking the actual date given in all the info types. For Ex : End of Deputation date is 31.08.2008. But while excecuting the action IT0000 & IT0001 system is taking end date as 31.08.2008. But IT0006, IT0009, IT0014 & the customised info type which we have cretaed are taking the end date as 30.08.2008.
Please note that we need to pay salary for 31.08.2008. Please suggest how can I get froward??

Hi Damodar,
When you are running End Of Deputation action( Leaving action); on initial PA40 screen you enter 31.8.2008 in the From field and then run the action. The system will automatically take the End Of Deputation Action Date as 1.9.2008.
That means the Last working day date of employee is 31.8.2008 and the salary will be paid till 31.8.2008
Check in table T529A; in the Date field entry should be 1( specified filed is end date of old records)

Actions Issue

Hi All,
When I delete any action for the employee, system does not delete all infotypes which i created
on the day when i was running this action, rather i have to go nad delete the data for the infotypes by
going individually to every infotype.
Can anyone tell me why is this happening?

Actually I remember in my last project, whenever I used to delete any action, system used to show some pop up saying that the action deletion wiill delete all the records in all other infotypes which i created on the day of action, And i am sure that we dion created any Deletion action.
Any also the operation used was Copy for all infotypes.
I wonder how can we do it at the config level?
Also I have seen my clients system , when they have maintained infogroup for any actions, IT0000 is not in the infogroup in action customisation, but still I can see that when we run the action IT0000 is the first infotype that appear while running theaction, I belive this is so because in Set Personnel Actions we checking U0000, so we can avoid using that in all actions inforgroups.
Can that be a reason , that i am unable to delete all infotypes together.

by Actions do you mean Actions infotype or object actions in OM which are accessed through PP03?
Personnel Actions - These help you maintain data by providing a serious of infotypes which you define through infogroup.
Actions (IT0000) - This is the table that maintains the action data and reasons along with statuses
Objection Actions is similar to Personnel actions - here while maintaining objects such as position or org units etc you are provided with a serious of infotypes which you can maintain.

HR - PA upgrade issue (4.6C to ECC6.0)

dear all,
we are currently in the process of upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we found this minor issue in the submodule PA:
using tcode pa20/pa30 we can not see any record of IT0000 Actions using 'overview'
but the all the detail actions can be displayed..
the overview (mountain icon) can't show all the records- only happen when we want to overview the infotype IT0000 Actions.
but all the details that we have recorded in IT0000 Actions, can still be displayed (using spectacle icon)
this is only happen in IT0000 Actions
all other infotypes can be overviewed using 'mountain icon' and can be displayed using 'spectacle icon' as normal condition.
anyone ever gone through the same issue?
we have updated patch for SAP HR : SP 32 and EA 7.
the authorization is SAP ALL.

2. after we do the backup of HR table T512W, before upgrading your HR support package, then we upgrade the support package and after that..

Unexpected severe error has occured in Jdeveloper

sorry for my english i am not a native speaker, so that some of the expressions i use could soud "weird". I have JDeveloper Studio 11.1.1.7.0 installed. The BPM Extension is ORACLE BPM Studio 11.1.1.6.0.15.53. I have already installed and reinstalled Jdeveloper and BPM Studio several times but every time after i have a process created my Jdeveloper crashes. That is the reason why i posted this request.

We are migrating to JDev 11.1.1.2.0 for a client and this bug is still there!

Problem after upgrade from patch level 36 to 43

Hi,
Recently our system is upgraded from 36 to 43 patch level. After this there are problem in doing hiring action, IT0000 is saving but the next infotype IT0001 does not gets saved and also no error message. So, really not able to figure out what could be the problem.
I was debugging the standard code i.e once the 'save' button is clicked in IT0001 in PA40, but in vain. I am not able to find out where or in which program/include the data gets saved in PA0001. If any one aware of this please let me know.
Since IT0001 is not getting saved, there are probs with IT0007 and IT0008.
Please let me know your views.

Thanks for the reply. Ya, the problem was not due to upgrade,but some other issue. Not able to find till now. I checked IGMOD features and it is in 'Active' mode only. No luck.

u2022 The Exact Error message is ""Job termination in source system"". The exact error message may also differ, it may be u201CThe background job for data selection in the source system has been terminatedu201D. Both the error messages mean the same. Some times it may also give u201CJob Termination due to System Shutdownu201D.
u2022 The message appears in the Job Overview in RSMO, or in u201CDisplay Messageu201D option of the Process in the PC.
" "u2022 If the job in R/3 system cancels due to some reasons, then this error is encountered. This may be due to some problem in the system. Some times it may also be due to some other jobs running in parallel which takes up all the Processors and the jobs gets cancelled on R/3 side.
u2022 The error may or may not be resulted due to Time Out. It may happen that there would be some system issues like locks/DB Issues in the source system

u2022 Right Click and u201CExecuteu201D or u201CF6u201D after selection, those LUWu2019s which are identified properly. So that they get cleared, and the load on BW side gets completed successfully.
u2022 When IDocs are stuck go to R/3, use Tcode BD87 and expand u2018IDOC in inbound Processingu2019 tab for IDOC Status type as 64 (IDoc ready to be transferred to application). Keep the cursor on the error message (pertaining to IDOC type RSRQST only) and click Process tab (F8) . Ths will push any stuck Idoc on R/3.
u2022 Monitor the load for successful completion,
and complete the further loads if any in the Process Chain.
"No SID found for a characteristics
For example consider a Transactional Data load has failed due to no SID found for the characteristic 0Customer." It might happen that the Master Data 0Customer was loaded much before the transactional data load and by the time the transactional data load was started some transactions has taken place in the OLAP sytem and a new Customer has got created. As a result the Transactional Data load which would try to get the SID for the master data would not find it would fail. Check for the Master data in the R3 system if the data is available in the R3 system load the Master data in BW and then manually load the transactional Data. If the master data is not present in the R3 system also then itu2019s a data issue and needs to be reported to OSC or the Client.

u2022 The message appears in the Job Overview in RSMO, or in u201CDisplay Messageu201D option of the Process in the PC.
u2022 The exact error message would be like, u201CUser ALEREMOTE locked the load of master datas for characteristic 0CUSTOMERu201D. Here it is specifically for the 0CUSTOMER load. It may be different related to Master Data InfoObject which is getting loaded. " During the Master data Loads, sometimes a lock is set by the system user ALEREMOTE. This happens because the HACR is runnning for some other MD load at the same time when the system tries to carry out the HACr for this new MD. This is scheduling problem as due to the time clashing the error has occured. "
u2022 Check the error message completely and also check the long text of the error message, as it will tell you the exact Master Data which is locked by user ALEREMOTE.
u2022 The lock which is set is because of load and HACR timing which clashed. We first need to check RSA1 -> Tools -> HACR, where in we would get the list of InfoObjects on which HACR is currently running. Once that is finished only then, go to the Tx Code SM12. This will give you few options and couple of default entries. When we list the locks, it will display all the locks set. Delete the lock for the specific entry only else it may happen that some load which was running may fail, due to the lock released.
u2022 Now we choose the appropriate lock which has caused the failure, and click on Delete. So that the existing lock is released.
Care should be taken that we do not delete an active running job. Preferable avoid this solution
u2022 When HACR finishes for the other Master Data, trigger Attribute change run fot this Master Data.
No Data found in the soucre system It may happen that there is transaction which has taken place for particular load. Or incase of delat loads there is no changes. This would result in giving anerror message as "No data available in the source system". As a result the load would remaing hanging ie the QM status would be yellow and if not changed then the load would fail due to processing overdue. Extract the data in the source sytem and check whether the data is actually present or not. If the load is getting the data from a flat file go to the Application server i.e transaction AL11 and go to the relevant path and check whether if data is present. If data is not present then change the QM status to manually green. If the data is available check for the extractor job failure.

1) IDOC or TRFC Error
We can see the following error at u201CStatusu201D Screen;
Sending packages from OLTP to BW lead to errors
Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.
System response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of the SAP BW.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can get to this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Removing errors:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is completely connected to the SAP BW. Check especially the authorizations of the background user in the source system.
Analysis:
If we see at the error message we find that the failure is due to Non-arrival of IDOCs from Source System to BW.
Action to be taken:
Reload the Master Data manually again from Info-package at RSA1.
2) PROCESSING IS OVERDUE FOR PROCESSED IDOCs
Diagnosis
IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not
Updated.
Processing is overdue.
Error correction:
Attempt to process the IDocs manually. You can process the IDocs
manually using the Wizard or by selecting the IDocs with incorrect
status and processing them manually.
Analysis:
After looking at all the above error messages we find that the IDocs are found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not Updated.
Action to be taken:
We can process the IDocs manually as shown below:
3) ERROR AT SOURCE SYSTEM ASKING FOR REPLICATION OF DATASOURCES
Analysis:
If we see at the error message we find that the System is asking us to Replicate the Data Source System.
Action to be taken:
Go to RSA1 initial Screen & press Source System tab at LHS.
Once Replication is done we have to activate the Transfer Structures in Production System. For this we have to execute a program SE38 in BW On executing we will get the following screen:-
Once you have Replicated the Data-Sources & Activated the Transfer Structure you can reload the data manually by Executing the Info-package at RSA1.
4) LOCK NOT SET FOR LOADING MASTER DATA ( TEXT / ATTRIBUE / HIERARCHY )
Reason for Failure:
Diagnosis
User ALEREMOTE is preventing you from loading texts to characteristic
0COSTCENTER . The lock was set by a master data loading process with the

For reasons of consistency, the system cannot allow the update to continue, and it has terminated the process.
Procedure
Wait until the process that is causing the lock is complete. You can call transaction SM12 to display a list of the locks.
If a process terminates, the locks that have been set by this process are reset automatically.
Analysis:
After looking at all the above error messages we find that the user is u201CLockedu201D.
Action to be taken:
Wait for sometime & try reloading the Master Data manually again from Info-package at RSA1.
5) DATA ERROR
Analysis:
After looking at all the above error messages we find
1st u2013 That it is a PC File Source System.
2nd - That there are Duplicate Data Records leading to error.
Action to be taken:
We have to delete this Request & then rectify the Data in the Data source at the Source System Level. After this we have to manually load the data.
6) OTHER TYPE OF DATA ISSUE
l Error Message
Diagnosis
1 data records were marked as incorrect in the PSA. The additional checking and processing of the 2 data package was terminated in a customer routine. This was done intentionally or was due to a short dump being intercepted.
System response
The data package was not updated.
Procedure
Correct the incorrect data records in the data package (for example by manually editing them in PSA maintenance). You can find the error message for each record in the PSA by double-clicking on the record status.
Analysis:
After looking at all the above error messages we find that the PSA contains incorrect record.
Action to be taken:
To resolve this issue there are two methods:-
i) We can rectify the data at the source system & then load the data.
ii) We can correct the incorrect record in the PSA & then upload the data into the data target from here.
Resolution: - We will see how to do the go for the 2nd method: -
7) ERROR WHILE LOADING PC FILE FROM DESKTOP / APPLICATION SERVER
Analysis:
After looking at all the above error messages we find
1st u2013 That it is a PC File Source System.
2nd u2013 For uploading data from the PC File it seems that the file was not kept at the application server & the job was scheduled in Background.
Action to be taken:
For running the job in Background Transfer file to Application server & then load it from there.
OR Else if you want to load file from your desktop then donu2019t schedule the job in background instead select u201CSchedule Immediatelyu201D option in the Info-Package.
8) JOB FAILURE AT SOURCE SYSTEM
Analysis:
Diagnosis
The background processing was not finished in the source system.
It is possible that the background processing in the source system was terminated.
System response
There are incomplete data packets present.
Further analysis:
Go to the background processing overview in the source system. You can get to this with the Wizard or the menu path Environment -> Job Overview -> In the source system (This is the alternate path to see the u201CJob Overviewu201D at the Source System.
Once there, check whether the background job really was terminated.
Note
Please make sure that the correct date of request has been selected in the selection screen of the overview.
Action to be taken:
At source system you can see the reason for the Job Failure. Thus we need to take the action accordingly.
9) ERROR ASKING FOR INITIALIZATION
Analysis:
After looking at all the above error messages we find that if we want to load data with the delta update you must first initialize the delta process.
Action to be taken:
If you want to load data with the delta update you must first initialize the delta process.
Afterwards the selection conditions that were used in the initialization can no longer be changed.
But Initialization is a typical process that should not be carried out without confirming with the onsite person in any case.
10) ERROR RELATED TO ACTIVATION
Analysis:
Here we can see that the Activation of ODS has failed as the Request Status in the ODS may not be green.
Action To be Taken:
Go to RSA1 Select your ODS Object  Right Click on it & Select u2018Manageu2019.
Select the Red Request & see the reason for its failure.
Rectify the error & then go for its activation.

Load Master data KU. To load it, select its Infopackage & at schedule tab select u201CImmediateu201D & start loading.
After this come to RSMO & select this failed job.
Click on Detail tab.
Since in this case we see that the data is only getting loaded in ODS & not in PSA thus we have to reload data manually through Infopackage.
If we have PSA here then we need to take the following action:
1) Expand nodes under Detail tab.
2) Expand node u201CProcessing (data packet): Everything OKu201D
3) Right click on u201CData Package 1 : Everything OKu201D under it.
4) Select Manual update option in the dropdown menu.

At wits end with jdev and svn

Here is the issue:
I use Tortoise SVN to check out a VERY LARGE project contains both the JDEV project file and the tens of thousands of files in the project). I do this from Tortoise because JDEV fails every time. The SVN functionality is totally not enterprise ready. It is a toy.
Anyway, afterwords I create an application and open the project file. Jdev does not see that the directories and the project file are under SVN control. Can someone tell me how to do this?
And I have to be very honest. I am ready to TRASH JDeveloper and go to Eclipse.
I love Oracle, I have tried to be very patient, but I HAVE HAD IT WITH THE POOR QUALITY AND SUPPORT FOR JDEVELOPER.

This is the error I get when checking out a large project. In this case it looks like I ran out of Java Heap space. I don't have an infinite amount of memory. The amount of memory needed to perform a check out should be constant, otherwise their is no way for the operation to scale up.

HOWTO: Fix beta 7 SDK provisioning/device errors.

Okay, through trial and error, I have determined:
1) Provisioning profiles have to be regenerated; ones generated yesterday or this morning are corrupted.
2) Apparently, your app ID must now be only three dot-levels deep. I.e., if you have 'com.mycompany.foo' on Mac OS X, you cannot name your app ID 'com.mycompany.foo.mobile' -- you will need to do 'com.mycompany.mobilefoo' or whatever. (This was the one that got me, and took me quite a while to figure out.)
3) Your app ID and the bundle ID in the target properties of Xcode must be identical, to the character. So if you have 'com.mycompany.*' as an app ID, you will need to set the bundle ID to 'com.mycompany.*' rather than 'com.mycompany.mobilefoo'
4) You will need to go re-select the code signing profile in Xcode before rebuilding for devices under beta 7.
5) You MAY (I didn't, but others did) have to change your code signing identity to be just 'iPhone Developer' instead of 'iPhone Developer: Firstname Lastname'

Maybe I can help if you are still stuck. I figured it out with your help, so maybe I can help a bit.
I first grabbed my new provisioning information about about 8pm on the10th, so maybe I got good provisioning files. My provisioning identifier is 4 long xxxx.com.myco.myapp but following other's advice on this chain. Here is all I had to do:
1) I entered com.myco.myapp into my plist bundle identifer
2) In the Build configuration of the Project Info, I
a) Used my name in the Code Signing Identity field. I used the same name as I was told to use in the provisioning Certificates:

b) I selected the proper provisioning profile from the Code Signing Provisioning Profile selector field.
c) That automatically selected the same profile in the Any iPhone Device selector field.
I compiled and it ran.

Upgrade 4.6C to ECC6.0 IT0000 can't be overviewed, can only be displayed..

we are currently in the process of upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we found this minor issue in the submodule PA:
using tcode pa20/pa30 we can not see any record of IT0000 Actions using 'overview'
but the all the detail actions can be displayed..
this is only happen in IT0000
other infotypes can be overviewed and can be displayed as normal.
anyone ever gone through the same issue?
we have updated patch for SAP HR : SP 32 and EA 7.
the authorization is SAP ALL.

we're still on the upgrade process. i can only share with you our current condition and the lesson learnt.
we have copy production, upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we did not face authorization issue or any other main issues in HR cause we have not yet implemented the submodules e-recruitment/ESS/other sub modules that are being enhanced in ECC6.0
our technical team did the oracle database upgrade + 4.6C upgrade to ECC6.0 right away directly after the oracle database upgrade. TST production is considered ok. we only have some minor configurations to be done.
next when our tech team upgrade the oracle database to ver. 10 in R/3 4.6C production system, and there's a time lag (interval) where our 4.6C production system not directly upgraded to ECC6.0 after the oracle database upgrade done.
and current condition - production database oracle upgraded, the R/3 4.6C Prod has not yet being upgrade to ECC6.0,
R/3 4.6C production face the authorization issue (not HR module, but other modules)
we need to check and apply sap notes/release to solve some errors in 4.6C production system and related modules settle the authorization issue. current progress is still on the technical abap preparation and functional testing.
it's been scheduled the next step - tech team will upgrade the production system from to ECC6.0 within next week. we hope all will be ok.
from this experience, my suggestion is that you need to make sure basis team have implemented sap support packages module related/ enhancement packages- latest updated one in your 4.6C system, then you also needs to check sap release notes implemented related with your module.
