  • Convert swf to video

Once, I find a very cooling flash on web, I want to put it on
my iPhone, but as you know, iPhone can only play iphone movie, then
I search on line to fine a program that can convert swf to iphone,
and I found Moyea swf to video converter. Actually, there are 9
products in Moyea swf to video converter series, you can choose
according to your own needs, such as swf to video Pro, swf to video
Std, swf to iphone, ipod, 3GP, Mpeg and so on.
Moyea SWF to video Pro is is quite brilliant in the
conversion from SWF to AVI, MP4, MPEG (compatible with DVD, VCD,
SVCD), and 3GP, etc. This program is orientated for video
professionals, business presenters, instructors, web designers,
    video enthusiasts, etc.
As distinct from the crowd of other converters, the program
has no problems related to video and audio asynchronization,
skipped/lost frames, audio distortion, inability to retain Alpha
Channel effect of original Flash files in converted videos and
failure to process internal and external Flash video (FLV).
Instead the program could let you fully enjoy the original
effects of your Flash files on PC, iPod, Zune, Xbox, PSP, cell
phones, DVD players and other portable devices when you are on the
move. Generated video files can be cropped, added a transparent
background and an animated watermark, etc.
But I think Moyea swf to iphone converter is enough for me to
use, so I bought it. And after using it, I found that This SWF
Converter is a economical and powerful tool for converting SWF to
video for home use as well as sharing with excellent picture
quality and sound quality. For it cost less and has perfect
performace for converting swf to mp4, swf to iphone video(mp4), swf
to iPod video(mp4), and ripping SWF to MP3,AAC, M4A, WAV audio
    files.
Now I want to share this series of program with all of you.

    Yeah, of course the
SWF to Video Pro supports to
convert SWF to AVI video with alpha, generate 32 bits RGBA file,
offer manual mode for interactive Flash conversion, etc.
Actually you can download the trial version from the home
    page of the product:

  • Converting .swf to video without losing frames

This question has been asked and incorrectly answered a number of times already. Specifically, on an Apple computer, it seems that there is no way to get a video file (.mov, .mpg or any other) out of Flash Pro without severe loss of quality or complete destruction of frame rate.
My .swf files look fantastic, just like they are supposed to. The play at the correct frame rate and all items work as I have set them up. When I go to export it as an .mov or .mpg, the frame rate speeds up and slows down depending on the objects on the screen. I have played with the settings endlessly, knocking the quality down to almost the lowest settings (something I would rather not do after working very hard on my piece) as well as adjusting the frame rate options all over the place to see if anything changed. Nothing. I have read many a forum where Flash creators have the same problems and are tearing their hair out because their work is essentially useless being stuck in Flash.
I know that there are programs that convert .swf files to video very well, some of them cost about $100. Why buy Flash in the first place if you have to buy another, almost equally priced piece of software just to get your content out of Flash? I also know that there are hundreds of free video converters out there for Apples, none of them seem to be able to handle the .swf format, but can do just about everything else. I further know that for windows, there is the free Iwisoft .swf to video converter that works just fine, but does not handle Apple created .swf files when ported across to a PC. How is it that such software is easy and free on a Windows machine, but not a Mac?
I would love it if an Adobe rep could answer some of these questions because I have been all over the web looking for answer to which no one seems to have the right one. Most people can suggest a good video converter that works for them, but they haven't tried it on a .swf file and when the original user tries it, it does not work and the thread dies there. Any suggestions?

@DR. Silky - I reviewed the converter logs at approximately the time you must have tried the conversion.  As you guessed Flabaco was designed for shorter length animations but it can handle longer animations - It just requires more time and server resources.
I've forced the conversion for your swf file (I assume I got the correct swf) and it should now be converted.
This conversion required manual intervention but if there are users for such requirements, I'd like to make such conversions possible.
To download the converted videos, goto www.flash-banner-converter/converter using the same browser you used. As long as the browser cache wasn't cleared  - or - as long as the Start Again button wasn't clicked, you will see the converted videos.
If you are unable to see the  videos mail me the swf filename and I'll send you a direct link. (use the email address mentioned on the support page as you might not want your content exposed on a public forum)
The videos are in 3 formats - webm, mp4 and ogv.  The quality of each of these videos might differ and you can choose the one that suits you best.
Note: The conversion token / serial number was R1328993157691***_*****_****. You'll see this number on the converter page (but not the home page). (If you see a different number it means I've forced the conversion of the wrong swf.)
Would be glad to help with any more conversions you have - after all its an opportunity for Flabaco to improve and become more useful.
    Kayo.

Does anyone know what may be causing this problem?

Unless you held down the Command key when dragging the iPhoto Library package to the flash drive you only copied the library.  How is the flash drive formatted?  If it was not OS X Extended (journaled) the integrity of the library's internal structure was probably compromised.
If you don't have a current backup of your library do the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
    2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

  • Flash SWF with Video file will not play in web page

    Hello Flash group,
I have created a flash video file from a *.wmv file.
    myvideo.flv.
I have used flash to build an swf file that plays the video
    (with a default skin).
I have then imported the media file into an html page using
Dreamweaver. I did not import the flv file, but the swf file with
    the "video" in it.
The page plays find on my development server (where
    Flash,Dreamweaver, etc is installed).
When I moved the html page, the flv file, the swf file and
the skin to my production webserver (linux and apache)
the flash files do not show up on the web page. The dev
server is a windows XP running apache 2.2)
Any ideas on what I need to do???
    thanks,
    eholz1

It may cause by any of the reason below:
    - You have uploaded the flv file to the wrong directory
    - Your flv file path/name is incorrect. check all case
    sensitive etc.
    - Your web server doesn't support FLV MIME type.

  • Why reloading pure asset SWF with AIR sdk 3.6+ doesn't work?

Hi, I posted this in the AIR beta channel, but I think it suits better here... I'm sorry for double posting.
    Hi,
I have a game targeting iOS using AIR sdk that needs to load many swf assets from the disk (packaged with the game). When using AIR sdk 3.5, everything runs just fine. When upgrading the sdk to 3.6 or later (-swf-version=19, 20, 21), we ran into the following problems:
    1) The packaging time (making the ipa file for iOS) passes from 15 minutes to 40+ minutes.
    2) The game can't load any swf twice (ie. reload a swf).
The first problem is not a big deal. We only have to wait a little bit more. Our guess is that is has to do with new feature introduced by the sdk 3.6, which will go through all packaged secondary swfs and remove the code from it, and since we have lot of swf assets, it takes more time.
The second problem is way more serious, as I have to be able to reload assets according to player's action. Since we have a ton of assets, I can't keep them all in the memory as we could quickly run out of memory.
I know that there's a documented limitation of sdk 3.6 which states:
In AIR apps on iOS running in AOT mode there is a problem when a SWF is reloaded. Therefore reloading a SWF will not be allowed for AIR apps for iOS in AOT mode and attempting to do so will result in following error:
Error 3764: Reloading a SWF is not supported on this operating system
It also says that "Reloading of pure asset SWFs will work with AIR 3.7". However, that's not true, since all my assets are pure asset SWF without any code inside. It won't work, even with AIR 3.8.
While searching on the internet, I came across a forum post that says that the only way to know if a swf is a pure asset swf, is by using swfdump.exe, and searching for the DoABC2 tag. I did it, and effectively, DoABC2 tag was there, but empty.
So my first observation is that:
    - Pure asset SWF file containing empty DoABC2 tag can be reloaded using AIR SDK 3.5
    - Pure asset SWF file containing empty DoABC2 tag can't be reloaded using AIR SDK 3.6+
It seems to me that AIR SDK 3.6+ doesn't care if the tag is empty or not. If it is there, then it's not ok.
Then I wanted to know why my SWFs have this empty tag. After lot of tests, it turns out that it is because I am using jsfl to automate the export of assets from a FLA file. And there comes my second observation:
    - When exporting a swf without code from Flash IDE (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S), there's no empty DoABC2 tag.
    - When exporting a swf from the Flash IDE's library (right click on the library Movieclip -> Export Flash movie...), empty DoABC2 tag is automatically inserted.
Unfortunately, my jsfl script uses thee same Library export functionality, and it produces the same "contaminated" swf. Why doesn't it produce the same SWF from both ways of export? I have no idea.
In the perfect world, the AIR SDK would not only look for the DoABC2 tag, but it should check whether if there's code inside. Also, Flash should use the same export process disregarding if it is being called from the IDE or the Library, and not inserting empty DoABC2 tag when there's no code.
As for now, I can't find any workaround to solve my problem. That means that I'm stuck with swf-version=18, and I can't benefit from all the cool features such as rectangle textures, new Context3DTextureFormat etc.
If anyone has a solution, or simply pointing out what I'm doing wrong here, please share it.
    Thanks for reading.
    Iojeirg

    Hi makc3d,
Thanks for the response. After all that time I started losing hope.
I would not say that the abvious solution is to remove the tag. I think it should not be put there in the first place if there's no code at all. Moreover, this only happens when exporting a MC from the Library, and it works just fine when exporting normally (publish). It seems more like a bug than an expected behaviour.
Also, AIR should check for actual code in this tag instead of relying only on the tag itself.
Your solution is a nice workaround, and I will certainly try that out. But as I said, it will not fix the original bug, it will only patch it later on in the process.

  • Compiling a CSS into SWF without merged SDK and dynamically loading

I have a flex application that is built with the SDK merged in (for my own good reasons). This application dynamically loads a style SWF that was built without the SDK merged. Unfortunately, it seems that the loaded SWF fails to resolve its references with the SDK and gives me a 1014 run-time error.
If I merge the SDK into the CSS SWF then it works. If I set both my application and the CSS SWF to use the SDK as an RSL then it works. In short the matrix is:
    CSS SWF, SDK merged?
    Application, SDK merged?
    Works?
    Yes
    Yes
    Yes
    Yes
    No
    Yes
    No
    Yes
    No
    No
    No
    Yes
I do not want a big CSS SWF to dynamically load with all the SDK in it when I already have the SDK loaded with my application. Any help much appreciated.

    Hi,
In you rsl project properties, go to Flex Library Build Path and go to library path tab. Here you can edit your imported library. There's no need in RSL to import the libraries merge into code but external(even the Adobe libraries should be loaded as external) cause you load it already from your application project (as rsl or merge into code).
    Bye!

  • Correct size for swf/FLV video files in Presenter 7?

    HI,
I'm trying to use Presenter with some screen capture and
other video an I cant seem to get the video to show up at the
correct size. If the video is scaled for screen capture it looks
really bad. I can build new resources or export to any type or
video/swf or FLV but I don't seem to be able to control how to get
this to work once in comes into presenter. Real video is OK as that
    scales well.

Personally, I record in Camtasia at 800x600, then have it
resize to 640x480. When I import that file into PowerPoint, it has
a huge white border around it, and I have to resize the video until
    there's no white border left.
It's still quite large on the screen, and the fact that
PowerPoint / Presenter seem to resample/rescale the video seems to
lower the quality some, which is why I often use heavy zoom effects
    within Camtasia.
I've tried using Captivate for creating the videos, but
honestly, it's faster and provides a better end result if I'm using
Camtasia. What software are you using?

  • Server side SWF to video conversion

I am trying to develop a tool where:
I have few pre-defined SWF templates, with empty containers.
A user can come online and select few photos to upload.
After uploading the photos, the photos are added dynamically to an SWF template.
I want that this swf with dynamic content gets converted to a video file, say FLV format, so that I can stream it as a video with user added content.
Any idea how this can be done?

I can only think as far as dmennenoh.
I believe if you find a way to do that - you will be a multimillionaire ;-) Media companies are struggling to accomplish just that... I am serious. Just finished one of interactive videos projects.

  • Comprehensive overview/question about organizing videos and movies

I've made a few movies here and there in the original iMovie, have made a fair amount of home movies using FCE. I have 20 years worth of videos scattered around on HI-8 formatting and some videos I downloaded from a hand held digital cheapo-movie cam. I'm to the point of trying to figure out the big picture on importing, structuring, storing, and sharing these files between iMovie, FCEHD 3.5.1, mobileme, my iPhone, etc.
I'm now wanting to start uploading movies to gallery.me.com. I started doing some of this before I got cancer last year. I'm basically restarting this whole process now that I'm beyond the rigors of chemotherapy and I'm trying to make a systematic approach to managing video files and already made movies. I have a lot of questions and would appreciate any insight you can offer in this discussion forum or if you recommend I copy this over to another discussion forum. I'm not sure to even begin hot to explain all this, so be patient as I try to start this process.
#1 - I've tried using iMovie 8 in the past. I ended up, somehow, with clips here, there, and who knows where. The original iMovie seemed rather straight forward and seemed to work in conjunction with iPhoto rather seamlessly. As iMovie made that big change some time back, I quickly backed out of using that program to manage clips as I couldn't find where they were stored and more importantly, they seemed to start disappearing after time. Is iMove 08 a good resource to manage clips or is it a bit of a dead end for people who are using various programs such as FCE and so forth? Seems the transparency of how the newer iMovie manages files is a bit not-so-transparent to me anymore and I simply am not finding many of the files in iMovie 08 that I can easily spot in iPhoto. Not sure what has happened there, but I can find the files in iPhoto and browse them, but NOT in iMovie 08. Help?
#2 - the only real reason I'm asking about iMovie at all is that I want to start uploading files from HI-8 tapes into my computer rather quickly and make simple basically unedited videos of what is on the Hi-8 tapes, then perhaps transport onto mobileme and/or make some DVD's. I did a few of those somehow before the cancer/chemo deal, but can't really recall the exact steps I took. Rough bout with cancer last year and my brain is a bit fried to be honest, not to mention all of this is a big hard to grasp deal for a RN who isn't trained in video stuff at this point in his life. Besides, I ended up having to reinstall my entire OS - long story. Bottom line, the few movies I do have on mobileme are in .m4v format. Not a big deal when using my mac at home, but notice that it causes iTunes to load onto my pc's at work or when visiting friends. Slow, clunky, and not sure how it wound up in that format. I'm thinking I did that somehow through iMovie or Quicktime 7 Pro. Before I go that route again, I need to ask about #3.
#3 - I just exported my first high definition video from FCE. I did so because we got our first new TV in 22 years, nice HD flat screen. I'm wanting to start understanding options for exporting videos onto mobileme. I got Quicktime Pro 7 and used the H264 or some option like that (file>share). It was able to take 1.5 gig high def video I did over my cancer journey and put it seamlessly onto mobileme. But it is in the .m4v video option which seems to cause some people and computers problems because of the whole proprietary iTunes angle. Is there a way around this being forced to use iTunes and simply share to mobileme gallery using .mov? I tried the file>export option, seems to want to use movie folder and I'm guessing that is another iTunes deal.
#4 - as I load files into my computer from HI-8 format and the newer cheap little HD dual SD card camera I got, those seem to either want to go into iMovie's folders (which I mentioned my confusion about above) or I can manually put them into a file structure that I'm slowly learning to build using FCE. I don't mind the FCE option and it seems logical. I still run into the problem of how to share web based content of the videos. Using iDVD is rather straightforward, but I'm wanting to use some kind of web centric approach to sharing my videos on the output and have one big file structure for organizing my files/videos on the input.
I notice that iMovie has many exporting/sharing options in its menu. Are they really any different/better/worse than what I have with quicktime Pro 7? Should I even try to utilize iMovie at all or simply go with the capture option on FCE? I at least can find the files and organize them with FCE.
I'm not sure how to further word this at the moment as I'm trying to better understand all this as I'm moving forward.
Any suggestions you might have at this point would be most beneficial. I'm sure as I get further into this, I'll start clarifying my own questions and thoughts.
Any resources you can point me to for newer (but not totally new) to video structure input/exporting on the mac?
    Thanks,
    Robert

    Robert,
A lot of questions, perhaps to much to go into detail but,
I can second the views of AppleMan
Since iMovie 08 I finally am able to organize and categorize my clips in an easy way. Just recently I made a DvD for one of my grandchildren containing a selection of events from over the last to years. Really a joy (not only the kid ). This would have been a much larger job without that.
When I like to do real "sophisticated" movie editing I use FCE and pick up the clips from the eventsfolder from iMovie.
Of course if you are happy with FCE for organizing (I found that a bit hard), you always can use the File->export-> quicktime movie feature and use Quicktime for uploading to mobileme or use the File->export->Quicktime conversion function.
Also within iMovie you can use the: share ->export with Quicktime, and use that to export your movie in the format you prefer.

  • Off-Topic: Converting Flash (.swf) to video?

Hi, I understand this is probably not the best place o post regarding this, but does anyone know of a .swf to .mov/.mpg solution for Mac? I'm trying to get a Flash animation on my iPod.
    Thanks,
    Taylor

    Taylor--
How may I go about opening an .swf in Quicktime/Final
Cut Express (does it work in FCE like you mentioned
    in FCP?)
Hmmm. Looking around the 'net, I think maybe I was wrong about doing it directly in FCP. Now I'm thinking I might have done the QuickTime Player conversion. It was probably 3 or 4 years ago that I did that.
To open it up in QuickTime, just drag the .swf file onto the QuickTime Player icon in your Applications folder. Then, if you have QuickTime Pro, you can export it to the movie format you want (or a series of still images). I did just try that and it worked.
Also, if you have access to After Effects 6.5, I was able to use it to save a Flash animation to a QuickTime movie. Though none of the movies I have been able to find on my computer have sound with them...
