Overwrite of Trial Version working files upon full Version install.

I downloaded and used a trial version of Acrobate XI, having created and saved an number of files.  I have since then purchased the full version on disk.
1. Should I uninstall the Trial Version first before I attempt to install full version??
2. If so, how do I save the files that I created, so I can transfer to the full program version??
3. If I do not need to Uninstall the Trail Version; then upon full version install, will my saved files be AUTOMATICALLY be transfered / incorporated into the full version?
4. If not, how do I transfer files to the full version?
I am using HP Pavillion All-in-One with Windows 8.
Thx Much.....

Hi p3puke,
There's no difference between the trial version of Acrobat XI and he full version except for the no. of days of usage. The trial software is good for only 30 days.
Please activate the trial version with the serial number you bought to convert it into full version.
To do this launch Acrobat, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'Activate'.
None of the files you were working on will be affected so you can relax :-)

    Hello Thi Minh,
it looks you instaled everything ok. In trial version you can
construct new structures, but not the tables, as we should
use the tables of the flight data model.
Propably your program is also running ok, as some reports are
supposed only for debugging, and have not any results screen.
    Try other reports.

I a similar problem several times trying to get my AbapTrial version to work but then everything was successful as below:
    i. windows command regedit ->software and delete the whole SAP folder
ii. at least disable the services (I had old SAP.. entries) (you did windows command sc delete)
iii. I had an NSP version and so deleted the whole of C:SAP folder and c:sapdb folder
iv. I went to windows software management and removed the trial version or went to Start->Programs and deleted the Trial version there.
    v. In Start->Programs->MaxDB (or, once, in software management) I deleted all MaxDB entries.
As far as I remember everything was then removed.
The successful installation then was as follows:
I successfully downloaded from http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/nw-downloads and successfully ran the installation:
    1) the download wasnt possible the first few times I tried - the download popup did not appear and I received a message with the word "scnsorry" instead. I just had to keep trying.
    2) I downloaded the entry
    "SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition ".
Another entry, also offered for download, "SAP NetWeaver 7.01 - ABAP Trial Version " did not install and seemed to be in error. (Installed "successfully" in just 4 minutes and showed no MaxDB files in the unzipped folder).
    3) I followed the instructions and the installation (some 27 steps) ran for 7 hours.
    4) I am on a laptop with Windows Vista 6.0 Build 6002 SP2. (It is in German, not English, but this was not a problem, although it is sometimes mentioned that one should use an english-language OS).
    5) After installation I could log on at once.
I recommend this way because it saves so much time.
What put me on the right path was a comment by Markus Doehr on In AbapTrial7.01 NSP the Dispatcher stops after 1:15 minutes.

  • Photoshop CS4 Trial version install error

Hello. I've downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS4 Extended.
When I click the setup.exe it starts running and works until it reaches the loading setup menu.
    Then a error pops up.
The title of the message box is "Windows Internet Explorer" and the message is "Critical errors were found in setup." And it also said to look in the setup log.
The log file contained this message " FATAL
Critical errors were found in setup
TypeError:'undefined' is null or not an object"
I'm using XP (SP3) and my computer is well above the minimum requirements.
Does anyone know why this is occurring?

What other software is on your system? What version of Internet Explorer? The error you describe sounds like you never bothered to update IE and thus the proper mechanisms for running and displaying the install screens are not in place. If automatic update does not offer the respective options, I recommend downloading the standalone installer for IE7 (or even the IE8 Beta) as well as double-checking whether your .NET runtime 1.1 is also in place. The latter should only be required on Vista, but even on XP it has the positive sideeffect of fixing a few broken DLL connections/ assignments, so it may be just what you need.

  • CS 6: trial version install hangs at 42%  (Win 7)

    Greetings,
I am attempting to install the CS6 trial version on my Windows 7 machine.
When it starts installing AdobeHelp, it gets to 42%, then the time remaining increases, but the percentage stays at 42%. I rebooted and tried again, with the same result.
It started out at 7 minutes remaining. At 66 minutes, I gave up.
    Windows 7 Professional
    Service Pack 1
    Intel Core Duo 3.00GHz 64-bit
42 GB free space on master drive
I do not have any versions of the Creative Suite--I have standalone versions of Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS5. I'd really like to play with this new version before I plunk down my dime(s).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Michele

    Hi Michele,
Hope this isn't too late for you, but I had the same problem and have found a solution.
The hang also happens with Creative Cloud installs, and with both InDesign and Illustrator. It is a known issue with the Adobe Help installer (Mentioned here in an enterprise deployment context: http://blogs.adobe.com/oobe/2010/07/adobe_application_manager_ente_1.html)
The solution is quite simple and I've successfully installed both applications as follows:
    Step 1:
Download Process Explorer from Windows Sysinternals (it's from Microsoft, safe to use) here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx. Extract it from the .zip file and run it.
    Step 2:
Start installing the application and wait for it to hang (On my machine, InDesign at 42%, Illustrator at 34%)
    Step 3:
Once the install has hung, go to Process Explorer, look for "PDapp.exe", expand it's line to "AAMHelper.exe", expand that to see "Setup.exe", and expand that to see "InstallAdobeHelp.exe". Right-click on "InstallAdobeHelp.exe" and click "Kill Process" in the menu.
    Step 4:
Watch Illustrator/InDesign continue to install successfully. I've installed both this way and both work fine. I don't know if it affected help, because it's all online now anyways.
    Cheers,
    Iain

    Hello,
Normally there should be a possibility to start this via
Start -> All programs -> SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version -> Start application server
    or via C:\MiniSAP\NSP\SYS\exe\run\startSystem.cmd

  • Wrong trial version installed?

I installed a trial version of CS5 last night to begin trying it prior to the arrival of my disks. The sign-on screen reads "extended." Did I somehow install the wrong product, or does the product key turn off extended's features? In the event that I've installed the wrong product, am I best not to uninstall it and await my disks?
    Thanks.

On trial you get Extended features but at the same time you can buy Extended product key or Standard Product key to serialize your product. If you have purchased a Standard key now and later want to upgrade it to Extended then also you can purchase Upgrade key to Extend your features.

  • Corrupted files upon mounting to install.

While I had 10.5 installed before on this powerbook, due to some inexplicable freezes I decided to erase-install and ended up having to downgrade to 10.3.9, because each attempt resulted in error and a failure to install properly. Freezes on 10.5 were seemingly random, though more numerous while watching a dvd or youtube videos. Now that I have discovered a new issue I am wondering if the two are related:
Excluding Software Update anything I download becomes corrupt when I interact with it. I tried to open a pdf, install Firefox, as well as install a more recent version of iTunes to no avail.
Could these issues be linked to an underlying problem? Perhaps something to do with the hard drive? I appreciate any thoughts!

You are more likely to find the failed install is to do with the old OS install disc and/or the internal drive. Give the disc a good scrub with a tissue and try again. And, try an external firewire optical drive if you can borrow one. If it still fails you may want to look into getting a Tiger install disc. - Don't put Leopard back on your G4.

  • Errors "A media driver your computer needs is missing." or "Windows cannot install required files" upon attempting to install Windows 10 TP build 10041 64-bit

I'm attempting to install Windows 10 TP build 10041 [64-bit]
I am currently being prevented from installing by a "A media driver your computer needs is missing." error, which occurs fairly early in the process. I've interpreted further text in the message as a suggestion that it's a DVD, USB or some other
similar driver issue. However, as I've been able to attempt each install through booting from DVD and USB, I'm not convinced this is the issue.
I'm currently installing to a 128Gb SSD drive. I have installed Windows 10 TP on my laptop's SSD with no issues.
On a few occasions the installation has continue with the installation, and then failed at about 6% with the following error:
"Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code 0x8007045D". I have not removed the installation USB or DVD.
I did not have this issue when installing build 9841, so am currently assuming this is an issue with build 10041.
Apologies if this query has been posed before, a search did not show up this issue.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for trying to assist!
I attempted removing/deleting partitions and formatting the SSD as part of the install process. I have also tried installing via USB and DVD with the same issues.
As part of the troubleshooting, I attempted to install a different OS. I was able to successfully install Linux Mint 17.1 with no issues. This further solidifies my impression this is an issue with Windows.
I will try a different USB port, appreciate the suggestion, didn't think it would make a different given the various methods already attempted.

  • Trial of one vs. Full Suite Install CS5?

    Hi Folks,
I was wondering what might be the problems or headaches if I download a trial of DW CS5, but I will be upgrading the entire Design Suite when it arrives?
I have a client who needs a Drupal site and I'm anxious to try out the new features of DW, but I don't want to have to go through reinstalling extensions twice, or doing a cleaning and then reinstalling everything. So I would install a trial but then I have to install the whole Suite later...
    Thanks
    Jeff

The EULA allows you to install and activate the suite on two machines as long as you are the only one using them and that you agree to use only one at a time. Whatever apps you choose to install is your call.

  • FLV File support in PE7 Trial Version?

I just downloaded and installed PE7 Trial version. My main interest in this version was to be able to edit .FLV video files. I've noticed in some reviews PE7 is able to upload .FLV files to Youtube. Well the trial version doesn't appear to suport .FLV files for editing. The trial version install procedure mentions that not all features of PE7 are included in this install. My question is does the full PE7 version support editing .FLV files?

You can not import and edit FLV files in PE7, it will only export to FLV. It can import and edit SWF files. If you want to edit FLV files you will need to convert them to another format, ideally DV-AVI. You could do an internet search for a free converter (there are a few) or purchase one.

  • How to convert Lightroom 4 trial version to full version ?

I have Lightroom 4 trial version installed and want to buy it. When I click on "Buy" I get two options: download or physical delivery. I don't want either of these. I simply want to buy a registration number (or whatever it's called) so that I can activate the installed version (I'm assuming that if I download and install Lightroom 4 again I'll have to import al my photos again, re-construct the catalog, etc. etc.).
How can I simply purchase a registration of the installed trial version ?

You can just purchase a download version. You will receive a serial number to use with this, and be taken to a page where you can dowload. But you don't need to use this download link, if you have already downloaded the software. You can just enter the serial number that you have been supplied with, into the software you are already using, and that will make it become licensed.
in other words there is no practical difference between what you get from the "download a trial" link on the Adobe website, and what you get from the "download purchased software" link.
