  • Problems signing in to my OVI Account

    Anyone else experiencing problems signing into their OVI account? I have not been able to sign in all day. I can log into my Nokia account no problems, however, each time I try and view my sync'd contacts, I am prompted to sign in again, and when I do so, the username, and password fields refresh blank, and Im not signed in.
    Any help?

    Still unable to login to my services to check my contacts from my sync.
    Anyone else having problems signing in?
    I can sign into OVI Share, no problem, and view, and even upload images, its just that when i try and access my previously sync'd information, i get asked to sign in again, which I have done several times now, all to no avail. I have even sent password reset links to both my phone, and email, so i know i am entering the correct password etc.
    I have even cleared all my cookies, and cache.
    Any help please?

  • Help !!!!! my ovi account contacts and calendar

    well i noticed a serious problem well i was just checking my ovi account and i found that i haven't verfied my mob no nor email account so i did
    but after they sent me the link on the phone i tried to write it on my pc but the fact that i didn't write it completely right and i hit enter does this would corrupt my account or mess up my info
    because it did open my account info page then but still mob no not verified
    i accessed the link on my mob and it worked
    then i tried to log in to ovi account (using desktop) but accedintally entered my email address instead of account user name (is this wrong?) but actuall it did login but asked to accept the updated prvacy policy so i pressed back then relogged again but this time i made sure to write my user name instead and it also logged in and asked to accept updated privacy policy so i accepted and
    then i tapped on calender ( which i have never tapped b4 but i used to sync it  using ovi sync on my nokia e72) and it looks like it's never been used how i do have calender enteries which are synced daily and successfully).
    and then i tapped on contacts which i used it a lot b4 using ovi sync and then checking my contacts enteris and even i also make sure that the last sync time is correct as written on my ovi sync on e72 but the fact is that my e72 logo on the device bar is vanished and asks me to enter my phone model also the contacts are still there but when i tried to sync to make sure that i'm alright the two new contacts enteries which i just added them b4 syncing  are not appearing on my ovi contacts account while the rest are just fine and the wiered thing that i check the log on my ovi sync on e72  i find the synchronisation was successful
    plz help
    i would die if any thing happened to my  account or data being corrupted
    did i do something wrong here ? ( i know that's a huge topic but i wrote every single action i did so that u could know what i did wrong

    for your info i also reseted some of the discussions.nokia.com account prefrences, does it affects my ovi account (wiered)? i guess not, am i right?

  • Can't sign into Ovi account with my Ovi Suite 3.0....

    I was using the older  version of Ovi suite and I could sign into ovi to update my software and stuff but since I updated to 3.0.0.284, I cannot sign into ovi thereby preventing me from updating my phone software....
    My internet is fine because I am able to check anything. The Ovi suite itself connects to the internet to give recommendation from ovi but jut that I can't log into my ovi account with the ovi suite. It tells me Nokia Ovi Suite cannot connect to the server. make sure your internet connection is working properly

    Your problem seems to be more complicated. I think the problem is in your PC system. The OS configuration prevent the OVi component to run. Please note also that OVi suite is not compatible to all Nokia Phone. Check the version list 1st.
    I have tested this version for several days with Win 7 Ultimate and there is no problem persist except cannot connect to OVI server (resolved after fill my OVI login info into Proxy form).  Except that, all function/feature work fine like sync, realtime sms, install app (except java app.), play music/video, and ect.
    Note : OVI Suite have no corelation with browser setting (all integrated). The most important thing that you have to pay attention is firewall, port setting, antivirus that can prevent connection to OVI server. Do not use advance internet connection like using proxy configuration (IP add : port). Just take off your mask
    Please refer to the sistem requirement  for OVI suite 3.0

    I have checked the "share online" menu and found only "Vox" & "Ikbis"

    This service is not available for us (Middle East user) and other countries and I don't know the reason why !!
    Flickr is also not available for our reagon, some people say for social, ethical and cultural reasons !!!
    Nokia come on, this should not be the way you deal with your customers in HUGE area and potential number of users.
    Please we want these services to be activated for us.

  • Cannot re-register ovi account

    Ok so here's my situation, I had an ovi account opened some time back. I then set a different user name for the account. On doing this, for some reason another account was created with all my duplicated details except the user name. So I had two accounts with the same details (email add, name, add, phone number etc) but different user names. 
    I used to use the second account with the new user name to upload/share my phone data. Now when the ovi store opened, I could only use the 1st account that was created. I didn't like this because my other user name had all my data which I had been backing up since I opened an ovi account. So I decided to delete both accounts so as to start fresh with only one user name. Now when I tried registering seconds later, it could not accept either user names (Sorry, that name isn't available. Try one of these, or enter a new one.)
     How long does it take the system to update? and why can't I use any of my previous user names? I really need to use one of them because I tend to 4get user names so i have two standard ones for all kinds of accounts on so many forums and stuff. thanx

  • Cant use the ovi suite to log in to my ovi account...

    Hi, I have a nokia OVI account, it works with my browser but when I try to log in with the OVI suite I get a pop up box with something like "could not sign in, nokia ovi suite could not connect to the nokia account server. make sure the internet connection is working properly and try again" some additional information -: I have a OVI account I can log in to my OVI using the same pc/laptop as the OVI suite I have real old firmware on my nokia 5800 and it wont update using *#0000# (the error is can not connect to server and your device is up to date when I know it is not) my current firmware version is V 20.0.012 and the other version is 20.012.224.06 my mobile is a Nokia Xpress Music 5800 dont know if this is relavant but when I check server settings I am informed that there are no servers defined Thanks for any help with this

    Please check:  Phone time and date is properly set
    If you have a separate Nokia Software Updater application in use, download the latest Nokia SW Updater and install.
    If it does not help, could you try reinstall Nokia suite?
    - Go to Program and Features or Add remove in Control Panel
    - Click Nokia Suite
    - Click Uninstall
    Uninstall also:
    - Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
    - PC connectivity Solution
    Then restart computer.
    - Download and install latest Nokia Suite 3.3.86 version from www.nokia.com/nokiasuite
    - Restart Computer again
    - Connect the device, do not open Nokia Suite and wait for all the driver to be loaded by windows.
    - Once done then launch Nokia Suite.
    - Check for the issue

    I noticed a forum regarding Caldav account problems for the Iphone, however, is there one for the Ipad?  I have tried the suggestions of logging into my yahoo account, searching for my password under settings/mail/account, etc., and that has not worked.  I have also gone into my calendar and unchecked my name as to unsync my calendar/caldav.  I still cannot get into my Ipad, it has locked me out and asked for the Caldav account password.  Does anyone have a solution for the iPad Caldav issue?

  • Don't understand how to setup ovi account on Outlo...

    Hello, i'm probably just dumb, i don't know how to set up my ovi account as IMAP on Outlook2013, when i try, the folders are messed up and outlook spam me with credential requests.
    It doesn't happen with my personnally hosted mailbox (IMAP, manual) or with Microsoft hosted mailboxes (auto)
    Could someone guide me from step 0 on how to set my ovi account on Outlook 2013 using imap over SSL ?
    PS : Yes my credentials are correct, they work on Ovi store on my N8.

    I had setup mine on outlook express just now and it did not show any errors.
    My emal is in this format [email protected] and i used
    imap.nokiamail.com:993:1
    smtp.nokiamail.com:465:1
    I did not use SPA but i selected SSL on both.
    Ensure that your username includes @ovi.com

    hi, i ve run into major account problems:
    now i am logged in as "peppermint". that used to be my account
    in 2005, and i posted very rarely.
    later i began using my actual account, lot of topics and
    i cant login with that cause it does autologin when i log out from "peppermint". (?)
    can any admin please erase the account with alias "peppermint"?

    It isn't necessary to delete the "peppermint" account.
    Just delete the browser's Apple Cookies, clear the browser Cache and try again.

  • My E63 not working with my ovi account

    Hi,
    My Nokia E63 phone does not recognize my Nokia ovi account.  Every time I try to log onto my account through my phone, it says invalid sign-in information.  Since I'm unable to sign-in, I can't download any apps.  Any advice or help?

    try to go on to your phone's web browser, press options>clear privacy data>clear all>then try to log in again
    also try to go on the ovi store using the phone's web browser, go to www.store.ovi.com then try to sign
    also try to log in using a computer to verify your log in details

    said could not see device
    device was not synched since Dec
    could not load settings
    sorry could not retrieve device information
    etc, etc
    SO
    removed device - well I tried, kept failing
    said could not remove - persisted, round and round again and again
    removed and setup new device BUT - at one point said I had three devices
    loads of txts to phone to configure
    FINALLY removed all three! and added only one!
    THEN uninstalled Ovi suite on PC and re-installed
    Then it all worked !

    login
    in the top right, click on account
    scroll down and on the right you will see a box "Terminate account"
    click on "continue with account termination"
    follow those steps and **bleep**...its gone.

    Hopefully a user can help where Nokia have failed.
    I recently installed WP8.1 Cyan and since that time my Nokia email accounts (ovi.com)  fail to download the message "Ovi account info is incorrect" is received after 5/10 minutes of "synching".
    I have checked all passwords and  email addresses, logged into Nokia Mail on the laptop without issue. I just can't get the mobile to talk to the Nokia email server.
    I have deleted and re-created, I've tried typing the advanced settings rather than using the wizard.
    All fail.
    Anybody got any ideas?

    and I am posting this all around.
    This morning Sep12 I woke up and I was checking my email on the iPad and I noticed over 50msg... there were just a few last night...  Then I saw... OVI 50msg!  What?
    I got to it and there it was... OVI mail working.
    I re-edited my ipad config because it was setup for POP and I tried to change it to IMAP... I messed up, but realized... I could not simply edit on the iPad, so I deleted the email account and re-created using IMAP. It worked!!!
    I have the OVI mail now configured on both my iPad and on my new Samsung S4 mini.
    Here is what I am using:

    Please share.  It looks like it´s back!!!
