Ovi can't find my Outlook 2010

I have a new computer: Windows 7, 64 with Outlook 2010. Nokia Ovi suite can't find it to update my calender. Says that I have to have Outlook installed for that. Can somebody tell me if there is any solution?

Thank you. That solved the problem. So simple but it wasn't intuitive to me.

  • I can't sync my outlook 2010 with my ipad

I can't sync my outlook 2010 contacts or calendar because it is not an option I can choose in the information tab on the ipad.  It only offers me windows mail which I don't use.

Did you create the calendars in Outlook?  Are you getting appointments from the default calendar (set on your phone)?  Instead of checking "all calendars" in iTunes, select each calendar individually.
This is sometimes due to a problem with a repeating item in your calendar.  Outlook and iTunes do not play nice together.  Any time I change one instance of a repeating appointment, which is always done on my phone, it makes Outlook act up.  For the time being, I've given up.  Just too much time wasted trying to debug, and I have to constantly make chages to repeating appointments due to the nature of my business.  I'm looking for alternatives.

  • Ovi suite can't find Office Outlook

I just did a clean install but now Ovi Suite doesn't detect Outlook anymore.
I tried repairing, reinstalling and something I found in Nokia Beta labs:
    Go to "C:\Program Files\nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector". type "regsvr32 MsOutlookConnector.fil"
    but nothing helped.
So please if someone has a solution because it's really annoying. As we say in Dutch "Ik krijg er de schijt van ).
    I'm using Ovi suite 2.1.1.1 and a Nokia e71.
Almost forgot: MS Office Outlook 2007 SP2 (Windows 7). But before the clean install everything worked fine.

Ovi Suite v. 2.1.1.1  does not yet support Office 2010 64bit

  • Exchange 2013 (co-existence 2007) - 2013 mailbox can not connect with Outlook 2010

This was working but after some problems with third party pop3 its been broken. Grrrrrrr
OWA internally works fine for my 2013 test mailboxes. It doesn't work externally yet because I have yet to cutover to co-existence. (Still pointing to the 07 CAS externally)
Internally Outlook 2010 is working for 2007 users. But for my three test 2013 mailboxes it is not. Outlook 2010 is patched to the correct level (even tried sp2)
It finds the user name - finds the server but refuses to authenticate. I have checked the outlook anywhere url on the 2013 server and I get the correct urls- internal and external set the same. I have set the service control point for autodiscover
    on 2013.
Now I haven't yet cut over externally to 2013 - and my internal urls for OWA are still set to webmail. But the legacy name exists and is set internally for all others. Authentication? basic externally NTLM internally
Where do I start looking. .

    Hi
Did you try running ExRCA test ?
If you have tried whats the result for EXRCA?
Do you have a valid Certificate assigned for Exchange 2013 ?
Do you have a valid cert principal Name for Exchange 2013 ?
Do you get any errors while trying to open outlook for test migrated users ?
If so can you paste the errors
You can also use test-outlookconnectivity cmdlet to test connectivity and see the results for any errors
Note :The outlook that you are using should patched with latest patch at-least with Nov 2013 patch.
Since Exchange 2013 has minimum requirement on the outlook version. Also check the authentication for Outlook Anywhere should be NTLM in co-existence mode of Exchange 2007 and 2013.
you can verify them using ps Get-OutlookAnywhere | fl and check the Authentication method for external and internal.

  • N8 and OVI suite no sync with Outlook 2010 calenda...

Hi I have been trying to sync my calendar with my work computer now for two weeks since purchasing the N8.
It is running Windows 7 enterprise (32 bit) and MS Outlook 2010.
OVI suite ( version 3.1.0.91) recognizes the N8 OK, but I cannot sync Calendar and notes. I keep seeing the message that Outlook is not installed on the computer.
I have tried many of the suggestions from this forum without success. I have even installed PC Suite 7.1.30.9 which also recognizes the N8 and even allows the manual sync operation to be initiated, but no data (appointments) are transferred in either direction.
    Please can someone help me?
I know it can be made to work as my home computer which runs a home version of Windows 7 (64 bit) and Outlook 2010 seems to sync correctly. I cannot work out what the difference is.
I have already tried PC Suite cleaner and several reinstalls. My excellent old E66 phone can still sync quite successfully on both computers
    Solved!

    Me too:
    1. Windows XP SP3 included on a Windows 2003 server domain
    2. Outlook 2010 (14.0.5128.5000 (32 bits)) connected with Exchange 2003 server.
    3. OVI 3.1.1.85
    (Installed in this order)
When I try synchronize calendar & tasks, OVI tell me that I need Windows Calendar or Microsoft Outlook. But I have Outlook.

  • How can I sync my Outlook 2010 calendar with Gmail Calendar now that Google Sync is no longer available

My iPhone 3 had been syncing fine with Outlook 2003 via Google Sync.  I recently had to reload my PC, wiped it and installed Outlook 2010 as part of the reload; when I tried to install Google Sync I learned it was no longer available for download after December 14th.....I did have it on another PC, moved it over but got an error message. So I am no longer able to make calendar changes on my iPhone and have them sync to Outlook or vise versa.  In addition my Google calendar is now empty....
Anyone know of a way to enable a sync between Google Calendar and Outlook 2010
Is there a way to add or import my Outlook Calendar to Google Calendar?
Why is all this stuff so complecated!??

no you can not do that. You can sync any web calendar that supports web dav to lightning, but Microsoft have chosen to not use the open standard and instead only offer a Microsoft Proprietary interface. Nothing new here though. They only offered a Microsoft Proprietary interface to download mail for many years. They call it innovation. I call it vendor lock in.
Interestingly enough you can sync office 365 calendar via OWA but not outlook.com

  • Can't modify/delete Outlook 2010 Contact Group

I've got a user who created a new Contact Group in Outlook 2010 and now can't modify or delete the group.  Other groups she's created before or since do not exhibit this behavior.  Also, when you bring up the properties of the group, the window
looks different than the other groups and the icon in the top left of the window just has the card with no people in front of it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
A Contact Group, known in previous Outlook versions as a distribution list, is a grouping of e-mail addresses collected under one name. A message sent to a Contact Group goes to all recipients listed in the
group. You can include Contact Groups in messages, task requests, meeting requests, and in other Contact Groups.
Refer to the link below that about

  • Can you convert the Outlook 2010 Tasks folder to PDF?

    Hi All,
Please can you let me know how to convert the Outlook 2010 Tasks folder to PDF?  When I select "Convert Selected Folders" from the PDFMaker Add-In in Outlook the Tasks folder is greyed out.
Is this because PDFMaker doesn't support this?  If not, is there another way to convert the Tasks folder to PDF?
    Cheers

    Hello hillsmeister,
Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
If it is Acrobat version 10 and later, then only PDFMaker application would be compatible with Outlook 2010.
Try converting some other mails to Adobe PDF and check if the same issue persists.
    Please let me know.
    Regards,

  • How can I use the Outlook 2010 social connector to connect to a Sharepoint 2013 mysite?

    Hello Forumfriends!
We have recently (like, last Weekend) migrated our Sharepoint 2010 Farm to SharePoint 2013 and we have started using mysites.
Now, there is a nice featur in Outlook 2010, the social connector. This connector connects nicely to SharePoint 2010 mysite (it does, I have tested myself).
Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to connect to my new SharePoint 2013 mysite with my Outlook 2010 Client.
Can anyone help me with this?
In SharePoint 2010 I configured the social connector using the URL
http://mysitehost/my. When I do the same with my SharePoint 2013 mysite it says "Could not connect to Server"
We are not using Office 365 and no, we will not rollout Outlook 2013.
    Regards,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,
According to your description, my understanding is that you could use Outlook 2010 social connector to connect a SharePoint 2013 MySite.
The OSC makes Outlook 2010 a social networking tool by connecting to the new social experiences in SharePoint 2010. That connection allows the OSC to download activity feeds for colleagues and display them inside the new People Pane.
When using Outlook 2013 Social Connector connecting to SharePoint 2013, Outlook calls /_layouts/15/ActivityFeed.aspx with parameter (destination user email) to sync updates. However, it is likely that Outlook 2010 cannot recognize SharePoint 2013 newsfeed.
So, for solving your issue, I suggest you use Outlook 2013 Social Connector to connect a SharePoint 2013 MySite.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Wendy

  • Can't connect to Outlook 2010

I have purchased a Blackberry 9300 and the very first thing I tried to do is export my contacts from Outlook on my computer to my new cell phone. I thought that was going to be smotth and easy, but… surprise, my phone can’t connect to Outlook!
This is what I did: connected my phone to my computer and went into synchronization setup for the Address Book from the BB Desktop Manager. A list of available applications is displayed and includes Outlook Express, ASCII importer/exporter and Yahoo, but no Outlook 2010.
I found an article mentioning that this happens if Outlook doesn’t have a MAPI client installed, but I’m not convinced that this is the source of my problem, so I wanted to ask to this forum before embarking in some changes to my Office 2010 software.
I updated the device softare to the latest versions, the device properties panel says  “Platform version 6.6.0.223”  “Application version: 6.0.0.600”

    Hello anvi123,
Do you know if you have you Outlook 2010 configured to use Click-to-run technology?

  • Can't SEND email - Outlook 2010 - Just moved from ...

I use an email address at my own domain, it's my business email.  The domain is managed by Eclipse Networking a firm in Exeter.
I moved to BT Infinity yesterday from Talk Talk.  Now I can only receive email, not send.  I use Outlook 2010.  I have changed the SMTP settings to those of BT  - mail.btinternet.com
    And ticked for authentication
And chose SSL (like it says on the BT help webpage)
And specified port 465 (like it says on the BT help webpage)
And put in my MY BT user id and password
    But it doesn't work
I spent an hour today talking to a BT teccie who used remote access to my computer to try himself.  Nothing doing.  He finally said BT SMTP only supports their own BT email addresses.
Can you help, what should I do next -  it would be much appreciated - I am pretty desperate and stressed - didn't sleep well last night as all this was on my mind as I have a business to run.
    Thank you

I only have Outlook 2007 but it should be the same for 2010.
Go to File > Account settings > select the account > change > More settings > outgoing server.
click 'log on using' and then enter your full btinternet email address and password

  • How can i sync contacts outlook 2010 with iphone 4 data

how can I get my data to update or swap on my phone and in outlook 2010. Contact data specifically.

Syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
If your Outlook address book includes contacts as well as your iPhone, you will be provided a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select. The contacts between the two will be kept synchronized with following syncs of your iPhone with iTunes.

  • Can I sync my Outlook 2010 contacts to my IPhone without overwriting the contacts already on my phone?  I sync my mail to exchange

I have an IPhone that syncs to my Outlook 2010 via Exchange.  The email and calendar syncs automatically.  I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone.  If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?

I do not follow what you're trying to do.
The device is already syncing contacts from an Exchange account?  Or you want to be able to sync contacts from an exchange account without deleting the contacts already on the device?
Adding a new account to sync contacts does not affect the contacts already on the device.
