OVI not seeing Outlook 2010?

The OVI software, 3.1.1.80, is not recognising that my PC had Outlook 2010 on it. Therefore it is not seeing my contacts or my calendar and does not synchronise it.
In the OVI software on the PC it says I have to have Outlook in order to synchronise the calendar. Irritating.
Help please?
The PC is running Windows 7.

  • Latest iTunes Setup Does Not Recognize Outlook 2010

I recently had to put in a new HDD in my Dell Laptop (WinXP Pro) and just finished installing iTunes v10.1.1.4 but in trying to setup a sync with my iPhone 3GS (which has all my music, contacts, calendars etc.), iTunes does not seem to find my new installation of MS Office Pro 2010...more specifically, Outlook 2010.
Is there something I'm missing in terms of getting iTunes to recognize that I have Outlook 2010 installed so I can sync my iPhone to my laptop?
    Thanks for your help.

    Greetings.
I am using the 32-bit version of Outlook 2010 on my Win7 64-bit system. I had no problems with MobileMe and I thought (that is what I get for thinking) the migration would be somewhat painless.  Not the case.  I see the adin for iCloud in Outlook and it is enabled, however, iCloud does not see Outlook 2010.  Trying to follow HELP at Apple, is like a dog chasing it's tail.  Round and round with no answers.

Win 7 64bit. Outlook 2010.  Open iCloud control and all items refering to Outlook are not selectable.  What have I missed? The [email protected] was added to Outlook.  Can receive and send mail.  Unable to sync calendars/task, contacts or mail.

    Hi ToriOM,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
If you change the default calendar to your Gmail® calendar, are you able to synchronize those appointments? Do you have wireless synchronization enabled for your Gmail® calendar? If so, the wireless synchronization would have to be disabled in your calendar options in order to synchronize via USB cable. This KB article provides more information. "What is calendar synchronization with Gmail?" http://bbry.lv/Hv63Rt
Only the calendar that is set as the default on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700 smartphone will synchronize with Microsoft® Outlook®. If you wish to synchronize both calendars with Microsoft® Outlook® you can merge the two calendars on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700 smartphone into one by following the steps in this KB article. "How to merge multiple calendars into one calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/JTcocQ
    Hope this helps.

  • Ovi Mail and Outlook 2010; from/subject/date field...

I'm using Outlook 2010 version for my home laptop and tuesday evening all incoming mails missed information for sender, subject and the date/time fields. Connecting to Ovi mail by browser, all these information is existing on mails.
Is there has been change on server setup after moving to Yahoo servers??

Mail messages always include more headers than are normally shown by the mail client. Sometimes people may wish to examine the full set of headers to check the veracity of a message, or to determine its actual origin, and generally when trouble-shooting. You control whether or not you see them with menu View/Message/Long Headers, or you may have a button for it on your toolbar.

  • Ovi is destroying Outlook 2010 Contacts categories

Just bought a Nokia C2-02 and am running Ovi suite 3.1.1.90 and Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 (connecting via USB lead). I'm having problems getting the sync to function properly between the three of them. After several frustraing attempts and loss of data, I decided to start over from scratch — I deleted all contacts from the phone and from Ovi suite and backed up my Outlook contacts in a separate file. Then I sync-ed with Ovi suite with the phone connected. I have about 1,200 contacts in Outlook but unfortunatley the C2-02 only holds 1,000 contacts (wish Nokia could have mentioned that in all the bumf I read through about it on their website before purchasing!). They sync-ed, but stopped at 1,000 (alphabetically up to Ss). Since then, it's been sync-ed a couple of times, as I experimented with the Calendar feature. On the last sync, Ovi has destroyed loads of my Outlook contacts data. The Outlook contacts all have detailed categories assigned to them in Outlook. Ovi has wiped the categories from the Outlook contacts! Re-assigning them would take hours in Outlook. Luckily, I backed up the Outlook file, but now I have this problem... how can I prevent Ovi from damaging my data again?
I don't ever want either Ovi or the Phone to update my Outlook data in any way. I just want to be able to sync my contacts and calendar appointments to the phone via ovi.
Any ideas about where I'm going wrong?
    Many thanks

It could be that the limitations of the phone are the reason for your problems. How many categories do you have and how many contacts are assigned into those? The sync engine in Nokia Ovi Suite turns the Outlook categories into contact groups and Series 40 devices (like C2-02) can have 40 contacts groups and 100 contacts in a single group. If these limits are exceeded, sync results are rather unpredictable and some data is lost.
Since you cannot have all your contacts synced to your phone, you must decide which contacts you want to sync. Once you have made the decision, create another contacts folder on Outlook and split your contacts into two groups: the ones that are to be synced and the ones that are not. Once you have done this, go to Tools --> Options --> Contacts on Nokia Ovi Suite and choose the Outlook folder you want to sync with. Now you should be able to sync the selected contacts to your phone without further issues and data loss.

  • I have an ipod touch 4 version ios 6.1.6  and I do not see outlook as an email choice to add on my ipod. How do I fix this?

When I go to add my outlook email it is not listed as a choice so I click add new account and then once I enter my information, It says incorrect and I used the information settings off of here. I am using ios6

    iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
Tap Settings, and then tap Mail, Contacts, Calendar.
Tap Add Account in the Accounts page.
    Select Outlook.com.
Note: If your device is using an IOS version that is older than 7.0, you will not see the option for Outlook.com. Instead, selectHotmail as your account, and enter your Outlook.com address and password.
Select the fields that you want to sync. Tap Save.

  • Notes from Outlook 2010 are missing

    Hi,
After one of the last software updates of Q10, Notes from Outlook that previously appeared in "remember" screen (without any relation with Outlook entries, but at least there they were) are missing.
Would be good to hear if is there any way to get it back.
    Best regards,
    Miguel Lezama

Might be worth running SCANOST on this one (possibly the first time in history that I've recommended that utility).
See if this helps: http://www.officeforlawyers.com/outlook/tsol.htm#scanpst (the instructions are basically the same for SCANOST)

  • Nokia Suite doesn't "see" Outlook 2010 contacts

I"ve recently installed on a new PC with windows 7 (32bit) MS Outlook 2010 and latest version of Nokia Suite. (3..2.100). I wanted to sync my contacts with my nokia phone (C2-01). However Nokia Suite doesn't "see" that I have MS Outlook installed. In the options to syncronize contacts it has only windows contacts.
Can anyone help how can I sync my contacts in MS Outlook with my nokia phone in this case?

    Hi Toshkentlik,
I would like to add one thing more here.
You could first also check in Nokia Suite -> Tools -> Options -> Contacts ; See if Microsoft Outlook is selected there!
     If yes, then
     Diconnect/Connect you phone
    Click Sync -> Repair Sync
    Now Syn contacts again
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks,

  • Syncing notes with Outlook 2010

When I attempt to sync Notes with Outlook, all the notes at both ends i.e. the PC and iPad revert to a date some weeks ago.  If I change the same note on both the PC and iPad I would expect a sync conflict, but again the note reverts to a copy (from somewhere) that is several weeks old.  If I change either end and sync, again, the notes revert.
    How can I fix this?

Ok, well after looking at everything, I decided that the best solution was to uninstall an App called "Tango", as it seemed to 'mess' with contacts directly, and I only use it with 1 person, so switching back to Skype (plus Tango sends/shares lots of personal
info, location, and keeps changing it's access rights and doing stuff when you're not looking - I'm sure some people love it, but for me, it's a belts and braces get rid of anything that might have 'contributed' to this issue).
Found my un-sync'd contacts and emailed them to myself, then deleted the Exchange active-sync account. Checked what was left, found google had managed to sync some stuff, cleared that up too!
RE-created the account on the S4 - only need the email and password, as it finds the server and sets itself up automatically (I guess it did that previously).
All is now working, after about 5mins the data had been re-populated and it sync's new changes instantly. But I will monitor from time to time to check that new contacts or added numbers etc do sync. My best guess is that some index or other data became corrupt.
Just one of those things (or had I been tango'd?!).
On the Truncating Notes Issue, the S4 (realised that it's running Android 4.3) does chop a note but only if edited, at 1001 chrs. However unlike others, it seems to only truncate the note if you actually edit the note field, so adding a phone number or removing
one, leaves the note field intact!
To summaries other devices behaviour with the Contact record Notes Field:
    - iPhone 3GS (on iOS 6.1.3) truncates at 32,777 chrs (so pretty big notes!)
    - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8020 - Android 4.1.1) chops at about 1,000chrs, even if just adding a phone number to the contact - so not even editing the notes field
    - HTC One X (4.2.2) at 5,122 chrs (when editing any part of the contact)
I hope this might help someone in the future if they have similar problems ...
    cheers

    Hi,
Do other features in Outlook work well? Like viewing free/busy information or opening other’s folder that shared to you? Receive/send messages? Access OOF? Please check these.
Please run Test Email AutoConfiguration to check your autodiscover service and Exchange web service. If all configured properly, we can create a new Outlook profile to have a try.

  • Recover Deleted Note from Outlook 2010

I was on my phone the other day working on a note, when i accidentally deleted it! it took me a long time to make the note only to have it deleted, so i was wondering if there was a way to retrieve the note?
When looking for solutions it said mostly how to recover from Office 365, and if you have to pay for that, then i dont have it. neither do i have Share point because i do not know how to configure it. I was using an HTC HD7 windows phone that has Microsoft
OneNote Moblie version 14.5 and is Office 2011, I'm not sure if that helps. But please if anyone can help me out with this problem as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated! Im not familiar with too much technology so i can really use all the help
    i can get.
Entirely, my question is, is there a way to retrieve a deleted note at no cost? I deleted it from my phone and I'm scared ill never be able to retrieve it and the note was really important! Please anyone who can help please reply as soon as possible.
    Thank you!!

    Hi,
Which note did you deleted? The Note in Outlook or an OneNote notebook?
Which type of email account are you using?
If you mean the note in Outlook and you are using Exchange account, please check if you can find it in Deleted Items folder in your Outlook.
If you mean the notes in OneNote, please refer to this post and check if it helps:

  • Object variable or With block variable not set, Outlook 2010.

I am using Outlook from Office 2010 Professional (32 bit) and have Exchange 2010 from SBS2011 installed on the server.
Outlook cannot sync with the server over the LAN. This started suddenly about 6 hours ago.
I can send from outlook and it is delivered. I can receive into outlook. I can also send and receive on the phone using the Exchange server. However, the sent emails are not showing up in the sent folder of Outlook. The phone can see its own sent emails,
    but not those from outlook.
I haver rebooted the PC and the server with the same result. When I open outlook, is get an error dialogue box with a title, "Contact Sync" and a message, "Error: Object variable or With block variable not set."
My contacts and calender are visible. Email sent since early this afternoon are not recorded in Outlook.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Do you mean all emails that are send from phone are not showing up in the sent folder of Outlook? Please check whether these emails are showing in Outlook Online mode or OWA.
Please make sure all emails send from Outlook can be listed in Sent Items folder correctly. If the problematic emails can be viewed in OWA and Outlook Online mode and the issue only happens to Outlook Cached mode, please manually sync the folder by clicking
Send/Receive button to have a try. If it doesn’t work, we can create a new Outlook profile to have a check.
As for the “Contact Sync” error, please try to launch Outlook with safe mode (“Outlook.exe .safe”) to check whether the issue still persists. Some of third-party programs such as QuickBooks Contact Sync or corrupted VBA coding may cause that.  If it
is, please refer to the following article to check it:
