Ovi Player application not compatible with bluetoo...

Hi, recently got an X6 16GB thru vodafone and bought a bluetooth adapter which appears to work fine with Nokia PC suite.
But when I run the OVI Player application, it doesn't recognise that the phone is conneted thru bluetooth, and that I need to connect using the ridiculously small 6 inch usb cable.
Why is this?

  • DVD Player error: not compatible with OS

    Trying to fix a coworkers G5. She has 10.5.8 running, and can't play any DVDs. She is up to date on all software updates.
    When I went to the DVD player settings, I couldn't choose "DVD Player". When I tried to open the application it told me that DVD Player is not compatible with this version of the OS X.
    Can I reinstall that application? If so, where do I find it? Is it on the system installation disk? Do I need to do a reinstall of OS X?? Any other options?
    Thanks for any help given.

  • OVI Suite is not compatible with Ralink Motorola B...

    Ovi suite can not find my bluetooth. my nokia n8 or e72 connects with my bluetooth. the problem is only with ovi suite and pc suite.
    can any one help me solve this problem
    thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hey guys, i found a solution.
    I'm using HP pavilion dv6 (can't remember the full specs though).
    I also use Ralink_Motorola_BC4_Bluetooth_3.0HS_C1.100 but the problem is Nokia ovi suite greys out the bluetooth connect or whatever which most of you are facing.
    I fixed my problem by doing the following steps:
    1) Uninstall Ralink bluetooth software(And then Reboot if required)
    2) Turn off all your wireless devices and then turn all your wireless devices back on. (OR just go to HP wireless assistant and click on Turn all off and then click on Turn all on).
    3) By now your bluetooth driver should automatically install itself, this is not your Ralink bluetooth driver. This is just your basic bluetooth driver so that you can receive and send files.
    4) Now go back to Nokia Ovi suite and do what you have to do to create a connection. There you won't see that connect with bluetooth greyed out like most see that.
    This worked for me. Honestly i liked the Ralink better than some odd generic driver. If Nokia doesn't release any Ovi suite version to fix this issue, this is the only solution available(unless you want to change your bluetooth driver to another software like Toshiba bluetooth stack for non-toshiba notebooks).
    I told Nokia(ask) more than 6 months ago about this issue and those liers promised me that they will release a version that will fix this issue. Till now they've released allot of ovi suite versions and non of them fixed the issue.
    Let me know if it worked i'll appreciate it.

  • Mac applications not compatible with 10.5.1

    I got the message when using Safari and Address book : You cannot use the application “Address Book” with this version of Mac OS X.
    Other applications work fine.
    10.5 *****
    Any ideas

    Did you do an Archive and Install?
    If so, are you trying to start Address Book from the icon on the dock?
    I ask because I found that after an A&I the dock icons are left over from your old installation and they may try to load the application from the "Previous System".
    The cure is to "poof" the old icons and start the app from the Applications folder in your new Leopard install. Then, of course, you can keep the new icon on the Dock.

  • Flash Player 9 not compatible with IE 7?

    A few days ago I installed Internet Explorer 7 from
    Microsoft's Update Center. When I visited a flash site, I realized
    I did not have flash installed so I installed it right away ((On
    one computer from a prompt to get it, the other computer from the
    adobe site directly)). Anyways, everytime I have Shockwave Flash
    Object (flash9b.ocx) enabled and visit a flash enabled site I get
    the annoying...
    "Internet Explorer has encountered an error and must close"
    and it prompts me to report the problem (which I do if for no other
    reason than to annoy msft for producing a product with such an
    obvious flaw)
    I attempted to produce a crash log as someone instructed in a
    previous post, but from following those directions to the letter no
    .mdmp file was ever generated from the crash.
    IF anyone knows a fix so I can view flash again please let me
    know, or just let me know a fix is in the works.
    One last thing, and I don't know if it is of any consequense
    but the afore mentioned file flash9b.ocx is showing up in the
    add-on listings as (not verified) Adobe Systems Incorporated, while
    the only other adobe products listed (Adobe Acrobat Control and
    AcroIEhlprObj Class) both are verified and are functioning w/o
    error as far as I know.

When I try to download any alternate browser, all I get is another warning that the alternate is "not compatible with your operating system." Is Firefox preventing this? There should be a User Agent Switcher menu item under Tools, which gives you the browser names you can impersonate.
    The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.
    There is also a User Agent Switcher button, you can add it using View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and dragging the button to your toolbar.
    See http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/features/ and http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/help/
    You can just start trying IE versions (or the versions it says on the site) until it lets you in.

  • This application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded

    Hi,
    I have been trying to load an application to my BB 9000 since a monday and getting this error "This application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded".
    As evident, I am new to BlackBerry development and got to port an existing J2ME project on BB 9000.
    To load application I am using
    - BB Dektop software 5 (latest)
    - BB Device Software 4.6 is installed (which is the version of BB 9000 as well)
    I am able to load sample JDE 4.6 applications but I build my project through same JDE and through eclipse (JDE compoment 4.6.0.19) as well but couldn't load it,
    I even signed my app since I am using net.rim.device.api.servicebook api which requries signing.
    Can someone please explain me
    1) why this error occurs in first place
    2) how to setup right envioroment to load an application on a given BB handset (BB 9000 vodafon India to be specific)
    3) How would manage this process on a single machine if I have 4-5 different BB handsets.
    I shall be thanful for any logical pointer to solution to these problems.

    Hi,
    The main problem with your genrated ALX file. I think in your ALX file contains <fileset Java="1.49" _blackberryVersion="[5.0.0)"> TAG  and remove the  _blackberryVersion attribute. Then it will work.
    So your final ALX file contains
    <loader version="1.0">
        <application id="App">
            <name >
                App1
            </name>
            <description >

            <version >

            </version>

                </files>
            </fileset>
        </application>
    </loader>
    Even thought it is not installed then make sure that your application may not delete from your device. Select the application and click on delete button in Desktop manager.
    Still u didnt slove the problem  then insted of
     <directory >
                    5.0.0

    replace as

  • Windows desktop application -- version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running

    I am developing on 64-bit Windows7 Enterprise using VisualStudio 2013.  I created a new Windows desktop VB.net application and just created a release build of the default solution/project targeting "Any CPU".  I provided the EXE to a
    colleague who is also running 64-bit Windows7 Enterprise but receives the following error...
    "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.  Check your computer's system information to see
    whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
    I changed the build configuration to create a "x86" build but my colleague received the same error.  Any ideas why this would be happening (I checked and my colleague has .Net4 Framework installed as well)?  Thank you for your time and
    response!

    "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.
    Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

    Hi sunisha,
    According to your description, you'd like to run the application in your colleague's computer.
    I provided the EXE to a colleague who is also running 64-bit Windows7 Enterprise but receives the following error...
    If you want to test the application, you could provide the whole Debug folder to colleague instead of the single exe.
    "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
    Check if the collegue's computer is running 64-bit windows:
    Enter Control Panel, click on System and Security.
    Under this, you can view the system type. This will describe whether you have 32-bit or 64-bit.
    You can also try compatiblity mode.
    If the program is not compatible, then you may try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
    Use the following steps:
    1)   Right click on the Program
    2)   Click on Properties
    3)   Click on Compatibility tab
    4)   Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever operating system the program was running successfully.
    And if you still have questions, I suggest you deploy the application to the Local Network with clickOnce, then your collegue can install the application from the network.
    #ClickOnce deployment
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/t71a733d(VS.80).aspx
    And also, you could recreate a new small application in your computer in Any CPU, then check if this small new application can work well in your colleague's computer. This can judge if the problem is caused by your application.
    If you have any other concern regarding this issue, please feel free to let me know.
    Best regards,

I am not going to buy an ipod 5th generation if my 4g is still going strong since the year of 2010.

  • OVi Player does not allow download music with prox...

    Hello,
     i've noticed that OVI Player deos not allow to download music when I am inside the firewall or under a corporate proxy. ANy idea if this is a restriction from Nokia Player or is it specific to my connection ?

    Dear svenks,
    If you scroll down the discussion topics, you will realise many other users are facing music download problem after upgrading from Nokia Music to Ovi Player.
    Same for me, whether I connect my WinXP Prof 32-bit notebk behind my company firewall or at my home's ADSL broadband with Windows Firewall off, antivirus off, http://music.ovi.com set as trusted site, the downloading still fails.
    Per advised by Nokia careline, I have already sent them a log file and now waiting for their investigation.
    I wonder if anyone in the world is currently successful in downloading songs using Ovi Player. If yes, I would really like to know what PC configuration they are running under.

  • Latest Adobe Flash Player version is not compatible with our android tablet - can I install an earlier AFP version that will work?

    Hi...
    ...and thanks for reading this:
    We have a Nextbook Premium8 tablet that is hardly two years old. We had to reset to original factory settings, and in doing so lost our Adobe Flash Payer app. Upon trying to re-install AFP, we received a message that our tablet wan not compatible with the latest AFP version.
    Is there an earlier, archived AFP version that will work with our tablet, and if so, which version - Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81) from Sept 10, 2013, possibly???
    It seems almost unbelievable that our tablet should be this obsolete for use with Adobe Flash Player after such a short period of only two years.
    Thank you once again,
    Robert Lucas

    It's not you, it's us.  We don't make Flash Player for Android anymore.
    The last working version published for Android is missing a year and a half of security updates at this point, so I would highly recommend against running it.
    The details on why Adobe dropped support for Android are here, but yeah, we haven't released an Android Flash Player since late 2012.
    Adobe roadmap for the Flash runtimes | Adobe Developer Connection
    There are a few alternatives that you can use to get Flash on your phone.  They're mostly cloud-based web browsers, where they run Flash in the cloud and stream the content down to your phone.  It works surprisingly well.
    A cursory Google search for "Android Browser Flash Player" turns up these options:
