Ovi Suite 2.1.1.1 does not run Videos anymore

Hi all,
having upgraded to 2.1.1.1 my "Photos" page would not show my videos anymore.
The thumbnails are there (both for video and photos), also I can press play and the video seems to run (at least the progress bar does...).
Pressing pause updates the video frame, however upon resume the frame remains unchanged.
Worked well on the versions before....
Any thoughts ?

Unfortunately we have not encountered this sort of issue before and therefore the actual troubleshooting was really hard. I apology all the inconvenience this caused to you.

First of all..OVI Suite is now called NOKIA Suite. If you do not have the latest version, download from here and install on your PC.
Open Nokia Suite -->Tools-->Options-->General..and under Notification Options confirm that the Box is un-checked..and you should see the Notifications on your PC..

Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90 does not Maximize correct...

This is a minor thing, but really anoying... when using a dual-screen setup, I can't maximize Nokia Ovi 3.1.1.90 on the secondary screen. When I try do to it, the aplications disapears entirelly.
I had a previous 3.1.1.8x version, that did not had this problem.

We would need more information about your setup, since there are quite many dual screen setups on Suite development and this error is not visible in any of them.

Ovi Suite 3.0.0.290 Can not play Video taken with ...

It is quite amazing that software by Nokia can not replay Video taken with phone by Nokia.
VLC player plays the video OK so the video (MP4) looks to be all right.
All thet Ovi says is that the video can not play. Format may not be supported .

I have the same problem, in that I can't get my video's recorded on the phone to play. If I try to double-click and play within Ovi Suite it crashes Ovi Suite, if I open Windows Media Player and try and run it then WMP crashes too (is Ovi Suite using WMO under the skin?) and the best I can get is when I try it with QuickTime I get sound from it but just black screen for the video.
So yes, I suspect it's a problem on my PC but can anyone give ideas on how to fix it?

Safari does not display videos anymore!

I am using Safari 6.0.1 and Mountain Lion (everything up to date) on a brand new macbook pro retina display.
I cannot watch videos from most websites, including youtube. Why?
This was working fine on my previous laptop under snow leopard. Any first price PC is able to play videos straight out of the box but the high end super expensive Apple laptop cannot. What a joke! This is so frustrating.
Can anyone please help me get it woring and explain why with all the money they make Apple cannot make new softwares that work straight out of the box.

    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Web Content:
    Click in the box for "Enable Plug-ins".
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.

    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box for
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Click "Reset"

IPad does not sync Videos anymore

Dear Community,
I have an iPad 2 which was just fine synchronizing with my PC. I had some Videos for my kids and removed them due to size limitatuons. As my employer gave me a brandnew iPad for company and private use I backed up my old iPad and setup my new one with the backed up data. I also had to do some enrollment with company certificates. As I was then told to be able to alternatively work with my old iPad and could purchase a iPad mini instead I returned the new iPad and llugged in my old one again.
Since then I was trying to bring back the movies. iTunes lets me select the videos but after hitting apply changes/synchronize the sync process quickly processes as if no changes would have been applied and finishes off without syncing any video.
I tried it several times but am not able to replicate any videos or music (that's all I tried) to my old iPad anymore. Before I go ahead and wipe it I was hoping for some advice on this behavior or workaround.

correct! the videos are in itunes and I want to get them on my old iPad.
BTW, I should mention that I now have also enrolles with my old iPad to the required MDM profiles to access company data. I ckecked wirh IT support of my company and asked whether this enrollment could have done anything to the iPads ability to synch but they said it would not affect it.

Techtool deluxe on osx lion does not run video ram test

I ran Techtool Deluxe after having installed OS X Lion. When it gets to the Video Ram test it quits. If I disable this test all is fine. What's wrong with testing video ram on OSX Lion?

Same problem. I've been having a lot of weird issues ever since Lion. Safari has crashed about ten times in the last two days and my mac keeps logging off all by its self. It seems that Techtool Deluxe and Lion don't go well together...when it starts it says that it hasn't been tested with Lion, and they no longer include it with AppleCare, so it seems that apple has discontinued the application. I'd say that from here on out, Techtool Deluxe will simply be a memory of the past...so probably just don't use it anymore.

The ovi map on my phone 6760s does not show street...

I noticed about two weeks ago that the ovi map on my 6760s does not show streets anymore. What it shows is just my location. I have downloaded the latest version believing it will be alright but no avail. Kindly assist because I love this phone alot. Dauda Hammed(Nigeria)

Delete E:\CITIES + .qf file from memory card, run OVI Maps application once to re-define folder structure needed to re-download regional maps with OVI Suite > Maps.

PC Suite 6.86.9.3 does not start after reboot

Hi!
I have some strange problems with the PC Suite. After the first install everything is working well but after a reboot the PC suite is not starting after double click on the desktop icon.
But i can install tools on the phone or start some of the suite tools. Only the PC Suit does not run.
The repair function of the installer does not bring any results. The only way ist to deinstall the suit and all drivers and to clear all remainig nokia registry entries. After that I can install the suite again and it will run again... until I reboot the system. And so on, and so on...
Does any one have an idea how to solve my problem?

Actually it does not work on one Windows XP SP3 computer, but it does work on another Windows XP SP3 computer.
Probably this is a .NET application, as I have encountered several .NET applications that do NOT work on some specific computers.

Does not play video

Dear sir my mobile model is nokia x3-00.
The problem is my mobile does not play any video. When i play any video it play audio well but the frames of video does not display. I also update my phone software but still it does not play video.

have you checked via Nokia Suite on PC if there are any firmware updates available for your device? if there are, please update to the latest version offered. failing that, you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite and if that fails, Restoring your phone to factory settings.

REPORT DOES NOT RUN CORRECTLY , URGENT PLEASE HELP

I am trying to run a report from visul basic screen, but it does not run correctly. Here is how I am running the report. There is a screen developed in VB This screen prompts the user for user id and password. Once it gets that, it connects to the oracle database and pulls out a column from a table. And passes that value as a parameter to the report. Now I am calling the the report for each individual value . There are 21 value being pulled out of the database and it invokes the report 21 times. So there are 21 report engines gets started. Is there a better way to do that ? Secondly when I pass the parameter , some parameters does not pass correctly I guess , because its not generating any out put . Like out of 21 may be 10 or 11 reports gets generated correctly but rest of the reports are blank. I debug the screen i saw that the parameter value is correct, everything seems good. But still the reports are comming blank. Any Idea why it is so ? The command line that i am using in VB screen is

In the above command " adoRecBrand!Brand " is the parameter thats being passed. This is actually a recordset and brand is the column in it. When I debug the screen , I see the value also there. But the report comes out blank. Please help. This is urgent.

The way you call reports is not scalable. If you have 100 records come back from database, you would end up launch 100 engines at the same times, which probably will blow up your machine. You should use oracle reports server to do that. You can either use rwcli60 to submit the job to reports server, or invoke rwcgi60 from URL.
I am afraid some of reports engine failed to start and you get nothing back in your case.
After switch to use reports server achitecture, if you still see some report is blank in your application, then you can run that report with that special set of parameters manually and see if any problem with the report itself.

You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

from the information you provided i can't tell if it is a hardware problem or a software problem. I do have an idea though, try to press your home button and lock button at the same time.
