Ovi Suite does not transfer video files

Ovi Suite does not transfer converted video files from PC to my N85.
After dragging, it takes a while to convert the file. Then it shows this message:
"Transfer completed.
1 file successfully transfered to N85
0 files failed"
But in reality, there is no existance of that file in my N85.
I have formated my microSD card, but to no avail.
Please help me...

  • Ovi Suite does not recognise special MP3 files

My Ovi Suite does not import some of my MP3 files, even though they have proper ID3 tags (there are even albums where some files are recognised and others not, although I can see no difference in the "quality" of the tags). If I directly choose one of those to add, the program always states "0 files added".
I would like to get ALL of my MP3s (approx 2GB) into Ovi suite, not just 80%. Can anyone give me a hint why Ovi suite dislikes some of my files?
    Thanks!

  • Ovi Suite does not retreive phone data after conne...

    Dear members,
Im using Nokia 5230 and i tried connecting my phone with Nokia PC suite and Ovi suite. Im successful with PC suite and Im able to access everything. But in Ovi suite, the mobile is being detected and shows my mobile model in the connected devices but still the phone data are not retrieved. It shows a processing icon below the device name which can be seen from the file I have attached here and it does not show any of my phone data i.e. Contacts, messages, photos, etc. I tried the solutions posted in a similar topic ("Ovi Suite + 5230 USB not working")  but I could not find a way. Kindly give me a solution so that I can use Ovi Suite effectively.

I am having the same problem--Nokia 5230 to ovi suite 3.00.290, but i do not have PC suite. My OP is WIN 7 32bit on a msi U100 Netbook. When i fired it all up 2 days ago it transfered all my old e-mails to ovi suite but all the e-mails sent yesterday (Saturday-april 23,2011) and today (Sunday april 24,2011) Do not transfer. Also i noticed that on saturday evening (april 23,2011) when i shut down there was 79 UPDATES! that downloaded!--this could be the clown in the wood pile! No sync transfer since then. We need this fixed--Thank You.

  • Saved project from migration does not have video files? Will manually reloacting each video keep the editing intact on the project?

I had a computer crash but was able to manually drag over and save all my imovie projects. The corresponding videos did not transfer over during the migration. I have had to manually go in and re-import each of the video clips. Will the manually reimported clips automatically replace the missing files and keep the edits intact?
So for example, a missing file in the project has the first 5 seconds clipped off and some image stabilization. The project says I need to reimport the original source media (File X). I import File X so it is now in the library. Will imovie now recognize File X as the source media and automatically plug it in, complete with the cropped 5 seconds and image stabilization? If it is not automatic, is there a process I need to complete to accomplish this?
Thankyou very much for the help.

If you attempt to start a new project and import one of those files does it allow you to simply import them?

  • Ovi suite does not find a new MP4 on my PC!

    Hi there,
Unfortunately, after upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1 version of Ovi Suite I found that my newly added video files, mostly an MP4, can't be shown by the software. Also, much before this, I have to admit, some MP3 files are not been displayed in my gallery in the Ovi suite and I used to blame on the files, or even my PC. It did happen earlier 3.0 and still is on. I do not know what to think now, maybe some of you can explain what is going wrong!
Please, share your ideas. I would be glad to read some!
    Thx in advance.

this is the answer to your issue....
the problem is not the Nokia PC Suite.... it is HP that is to blame for adding such slopy hardware that is built not to be usable by other external software.. i have a HP Probook 4530s and it uses the same but newer version, bluetooth hardware Realtek Motorola BC8 Bluetooth 3.0+HS Adapter that has to use motorola software...this motorola software is able to connect to my phone via bluetooth and acts like a built-in nokia pc suite / Windows bluetooth driver... not allowing the actual nokia pc suite access to the bluetooth hardware... in short nokia pc suite is Incompatibile with Ralink / Realtek Motorola BC4 / BC8 Bluetooth 3.0+HS Adapter... so if you have this problem ask HP to come up with new software that works on the motorola hardware that is compatible with nokia PC suite... this is the problem with products that have parts built by other companies.. (Incompatibility)
thats why i like Apple and nokia they dont out source other brands to make parts... but recently nokia ran to microsoft for the lumia windows cause there symbian software was loseing against ios and android..

  • Ovi Suite does not start at all

    Hi folks,
I just finished the installation of the Ovi Suite, but when I dbl-click on it
or start it via Start - Programs... it does not start at all. There is that error
    message in the event log:
    18/07/2010 20:55:01 (OviSuite) - ERROR   - DAL_Plugin_PCCS,  Thread  10, Line 168,    .\Application\CDalPCCSDevice.cpp, CDalPCCSDevice::getHandle(): DAL failure detected: (102) converted from PCCS error [0x80100023: Device do not support operation] / DA_OpenCA / @ CDalPCCSDevice::getHandle (.\Application\CDalPCCSDevice.cpp:168)
Anyone with an idea what could be wrong?
The Nokia PC Suite works e.g. for contact entries (but doesn't seem to work for the latest maps stuff).
    Thanks,
    roveda

  • Ovi Suite Does Not Recognize Connected N8

I installed Ovi Suite on my XP machine.  Connected N8 via USB cable.  Computer recognized device and installed hardware.  Got the message that hardware was correctly installed.
Opened Ovi Suite and clicked on device icon to connect a new device.  Got message that N8 was recognized and that updated connectivity software was being installed.  Then message that N8 was connected and that window closed.
On Ovi suite main page, I have a never ending "Connecting" message.  If I double click   the Nokia SIP VOIP 3.1 file on my desktop, another window opens and tells me that no connected device is detected.
I have tried a reboot of computer, restart of phone, trying a different USB port on the computer, and even re-installing the Ovi Suite software.
The phone shows the USB icon up in the corner, and it does charge.
I don't know if the phone is supposed to ask me if I want to connect to Ovi Suite...it does not ask.
    Any ideas?

Unfortunately this does seem to have been reported with OVI Suite 3 when trying to establish connectivity with N8 for the first time; as I had previously done this with older version of OVI Suite it remained after the update fortunately. Pretty sure that it is this particular software version to blame for this issue however.
With reference to USB connectivity, default setting on N8 is "OVI Suite" mode so it should just briefly acknowledge this on device UI when connecting to PC.

  • OVI Suite does NOT sync music on the E72

    Hello all,
I have OVI suite on Windows 7 and trying to sync my music.OVI suite sees all my music (in the iTunes music folder), but when trying to sync it simply stays in the "preparing sync" status forever. I left it running the whole night long and nothing happened.
    Someone has a solution/workaround?
The most ridiculous aspect of this story is that the music sync works great from iTunes with iTunes agent!!!! This is absurd! A software from Apple, fooled by an open source middleware tool works better than a native super-fancy-advanced sync app!
Why in the hell does Nokia do this kind of things? At first a bugged 400 euros phone (the E72 was not exactly a rock), then a bugged sync suite (PC suite works great, but it's going to be dismissed), what's happening there?I'm really starting to be disgusted about Nokia's way of "upgrading" products.
Ah, forgot something: when do your genius programmers at Nokia plan to implement a "stop sync" or "cancel sync" button? My OVI suite is stuck on music sync and I cannot even access the "options" menu to change settings. You make VERY funny products, BTW
Message Edited by glauco_b on 24-Jan-2010 09:27 AM

    Agree.
You can spend hours lookimg at the program wondering what it is doing, and most of the time it is doing nothing, when you thougth you had started an application.
Please give us a time estmate for the sync/function that is running.

  • Iphoto does not recognize video files when the iphoto library is on an external drive

I have copied my iphoto library to an external hard drive. I pointed iPhoto to the new location. I can import photos with no problem, but when I try to import video files (from my iPhone or from another drive) I get a message that the file is not recognized. When I moved the iphoto library back to the MAC hard drive, the import works OK both for photos and videos.
I am using iphoto 11 and all the videos were taken with my iphone.
    Any ideas?

Video could be imported from an iPhone before the library was copied to an external drive.
The video that was imported before the library was moved could be read before and after the library was moved to an external drive.
Video from the same iPhone cannot be imported into the library once the library had moved ton an external drive.
The problem is that video can no longer be imported into the library that was moved to an external drive. Photos from the same iPhone can be imported and read.
