Ovisuite - show files not transferred to mobile

ovisuite 3.0.0.284
New user of 5800 ( even smartphones) and am in process of transferring my music files to mobile, in daily increments.
Is there a way to know files which were already transferred to mobile? or should I keep track of it manually?
If I click on the 'Music LIbrary' (in left pane) and click 'Copy to device', does it have intelligence to ignore files already in mobile? or does it do a copy again.

yes it has intelligence.. It rarely duplicates..
Select the whole thing and copy to device... If u find any duplicate, repost. Wil help u.

Tp import fails with error "data files not transferred"

Hi colleagues,
I am working on transport requests. I had issued out the tp addtobuffer SIDKxxxx <sid> pf=TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL command for a number of transport requests at OS level; but when i then try to do tp import SIDKxxxxx <sid> client= u18 pf=TP_DOMAIN_sid.PFL, i get this error: "Data files are not transfered" in the QAS system. Everything works fine in PROD though. What could be the reason for this. I can't get it done within the application either.

I guess you have individual transport directories. I f you have configured the Transport Domain and added the Other Two into the Domain and configured the Transport Route. You should be able to see the Some RFC Destinations in SM59.
TMSADM@<SID>.<DOMAIN NAME>
TMSSUP@<SID>.<DOMAIN NAME>
Please check the Test connection. of all these RFC Destination. If these fail check if you have firewall issues between the system stopping the communication on Port 33<Instance No>.

Spotlight shows files / notes / ... of other users

Hello,
my spotlight search returns (sporadically, not always) files, notes, etc. of other users. I have iMac 27-inch Late 2012 with OS X 10.9.3 (13D65).
When I find results of other users, I don't have access to them so klicken on the results doesn't cause an action.
This occours on every user, not only system root. All privileges are default. I've found some google-results of users having the same problem just after a fresh install.
Some ideas? Is this a known bug?

You have the root user enabled? I think that is generally frowned upon - it can cause all sorts of permissions errors. I'd expect Spotlight to obey whatever the local permissions dictate (if it is working as designed).
I would try resetting the user permissions for the home folders and then follow Linc's tip for rebuilding the index again.
Backup before you begin just in case…
Boot holding cmd+R. Recovery mode should startup (assuming you have a recovery partition).
Select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter the word…
resetpassword
… & hit return.
The GUI app will open, select the main boot HD.
Select your user account in the popup menu.
Then click the 'Reset' button at the bottom right. It will "Reset Home Folder Permissions & ACL's"
Repeat for the other users.
Quit ResetPassword from the menu,
Quit Terminal
Reboot

MOV Files Not Loading to Mobile Me

Hi There,
I have downloaded a few clips from YouTube that I have converted to MOV files to use with Quicktime. When I try to publish my site to Mobile Me, however, I receive an error message saying that there is a problem with the clips. Am I doing something wrong?
I would use the YouTube widget to embed the videos, but my school blocks YouTube, so my students would not be able to see the clips.
Also, will students using PCs be able to see the clips if they are MOV?

I use MOV to edit movies, add effects, add mask, trim, crop, etc. in QuickTime Pro.
Then I export the movie to iPhone/iPod = h.264/aac with the .m4v extension.
Works on Mac and PC without a problem.
PC users need QuickTime installed or Flash if you use a Flash Video player.

Don't be misled by the title. It works equally well in iWeb.

Certain MP3 Files not transfered because They Cannot Be Played on This iPod

I've been using iPods for awhile, and besides the usual iTunes for Windows glitches, I haven't had many problems. Yesterday I tried to transfer an album I had added to my iTunes library over to my iPod (will play in itunes, did not buy from Apple store, fits iPod codec requirements (256kbit MP3s)), and I recieved the message that the files will not be transfered because they cannot be played on this iPod. I tried updating everything, and then even reinstalling everything, and nothing worked. I cannot get these files that play perfectly in iTunes and other programs and fit the description of what works with an iPod to do just that, work with my iPod. Any suggestions?

First make sure your iPod software is up to date, the latest is Updater 2006-03-23. you can get it at http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

Play the songs in another player and see if there corrupt or something
You may want to try a thrid party program on the net to convert the files, or you could do a 2 step process of having Windows media player convert them to WMA files, then opening iTunes and having iTunes convert the files from WMA to MP3 or whatever format you have iTunes to Import files. this converting my degrade the sound slightly, but atleast you would be albe to add them to your iPod and you most likly won't notice THAT much of a difference

Zero byte files not transferred with FTP Adapter

All,
I am seeing that zero byte files are not being transferred using FTP Adapter (SFTP type). Is there a known bug around this? Please respond if anybody have seen this behavior and resolved this issue. I am using 10.1.3.3.0

I still have doubt if that is the case. When I tested the same from 10.1.3.3.1 windows platform and FTP being windows OS zero bytes files transferred OK. Do you think this is to do with OS or SOA version?

Editing of Rights Management protected files not allowed on mobile?

Hi, I have problem editing/annotating an Adobe Rights Management protected pdf file on my iPhone. I am authorized and can edit that file on my PC. I'd like to know if such limitation on mobile is normal. Thanks.

We really..really hope that Adobe will do the fixes to enable annotation will be provided asap because we had a lot of feedbacks from our users that had been embarked with the LiveCycle policy protected file and they had requested to have the annotation feature. Its pointless not to able to annotate a pdf file even you had been allowed to modify the file in the policy set. Even the annotation tool is now available in the adobe reader mobile but the tool cannot be used for protected file with LiveCycle policy. Quite disappointed response by our users on the unavailable feature for annotation.
when we could expect the fixes to be provided and we could tell the good news to our valuable users. Any target date or time?

MTS.problem with Canon Vixia HF S100 mts.file not transferable to FCE4 ?

As new owner of iMaC and FCE4 and new in video...but"experience photographer" can't figure out how to get the mts. files from my Canon Vixia HF S100 to FCE4 neither from HD previously stored in folders by Canon original import software made the :-{ provided with camcorder.
iMovie can read and open only the mts.files diretly from SDHC card/camera but not from H drive.I was told by Apple sale rep. if I would go with FCE4 it will support mts.and solve my problem but opposite is true so far,reading this forum doesn't help much...cause only solution offered by many is use of another convert soft,with is questionable with lost of HD quality or not,but why ...why this format doesn't work directly with FCE4 ???

Local files not syncing to mobile app

I have local files on my desktop synced and can listen to them there; however when I click on local files on the mobile app it says it's currently empty. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot? Make an new playlisg called "Local Files" and then copy all local files into this playlist.
Then go into that playlist in the iOS app and switch on the "available offline" switch.
Does that start the sycning process? Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network

MPEG-4 video file not transferring to iPod

I don't know why, but these HD (720p) videos that I save from Youtube will not transfer to my iPod (120GB Classic), I usually get an error saying that the iPod can not play those type of files, but from the looks of the video info, it looks like everything is fine, last I checked, iPods were capable of playing MPEG-4 videos.

Sometimes your iPod can be pretty picky about what videos it syncs even if they appear to be in the correct and compatible format. Try using iTunes built in converter to convert them to an even more iPod friendly format. To do this, highlight the video in iTunes, and choose *Create iPod or iPhone version* from the Advanced drop down menu. When it has finished converting, try syncing the new version to your iPod and see if that helps. If it does, you can go ahead and delete the original.

IPAD video files not transferring to hardrive

Hi there. I've filmed just a few minutes over an hour of video on my Ipad, and i tried putting it onto an external hardrive which definitely has enough space on for the videos (it has over 450GB free, and my videos are only 7GB each) yet it still tells me there is no space?? I don't understand why! Somebody help me! I need to get the videos onto a blank dvd but worried the same thing will just happen!

try connecting your iPad to a computer. You don't need to open iTunes. (unless you normally sync with a computer, in that case connect it to your syncing computer)
THe iPad can be seen as a just a digital camera, which is what you're trying to do. So connect it to a computer and see if under 'my computer' you can see it. If so click down through it to get to the DCIM folder which is where that video should be. You can then drag it off.
If you have a mac things are a bit different
Something else you could try is to upload it to a service like dropbox (not sure about it handling 7 gig tho) and then download it from dropbox to your computer where you can make a disc.

Check the proper authorizations are there or not?. in SU53. Check you are opening structure file or Data File?. Ask Basis team to check the file from backend using command promt, give path and ask them. You create your own Folder in AL11 and try to save the files in that folder only because it is easy to track and maintenance.

File not found error from scheduler

Hi,
We have a scheduler file with .cfa extension in the cf scheduler which trigger some mails to certain recipients on execution.
At the bottom option fo the scheduled task, we have checked the option to 'save output to file' and has given the file
path. On direct execution of the given url, the file is executed successfully and mails are fired.
But while trying to execute the same via scheduler it is not firing the mails. On investigation of the output file,
found the error message 'File not found'.
Is it possible that the file get executed when directly browsing the url and shows 'file not found' error
while executing via cf scheduler?(CF 8 is used.)

To be more specific,
the url format given in the cf admin scheduler is like this:
"http://www.domainname.com/myfolder/myfile.cfa"
A file path to log the output is also given to publish.
If we copy the above url to a browser and execute, the file gets executed and mails are fired.
If we set the interval or run the scheduler from the administrator,mails are not sent.On examination of log file given in the scheduler section, it is
showing error '/myfolder/myfile.cfa' file not found.
