OVM 3.0.x Error documentation?
Hi,
I was wondering if there is any OVM-related errors documentations that I could use. With Oracle database products, I can quickly diagnose errors by using the oerr tool:
eg. oerr ora 12540 for an ORA-12540 error...
However, even just a document explaining the most common OVM- OVMRU_ etc error types would be most helpful, instead of having to search for each error individually.

Wait for some time. Sometimes the VM Manager takes some time to do actions if you are doing too many actions through VM Manager. If after 5-10 mins of deleting the VM is not deleted, try the following:
- logout and login to VM Manager and try again
If that does not work reset the VM and after it is reset to original status, try deleting it.
If you have any probs, check the Vm logs in VM Manager.

BW Authorization Error documentation Question
Hi,
I have a question, may be you can help in this:
Q: In BW Analyzer if we get the following authorization error for some reason:
->Authorization Check
You do not have authorization for Add or Create
There is a Details tab to see the authorization error details. I need to add documentation for the naming conventions the Users need to use so that it's easy for Users to see what is the reason for the error and what naming convention do they need to use to prevent the error.
Right now, details tab shows "No Documentation Available". How can I add documentation here? Where do I add this documentation and how do I link it to the Authorization Error Message's Details tab?
I tried running RSRTRACE to see which function modules/programs get called but that does not help. It gives me the following two function modules which are being called when I get the error message and when I click the details tab:
RZX0_MESSAGES_GET
RZX0_MESSAGE_H_GET
and surprisingly when I try to look them up in SE37 they do not exist What can be the reason for this?
Is there a system transaction, like .. SM02, in BW where we can define or create authorization error message documentation for BEx Analyzer? How do I link it to the Authorization Error message?

Hi all,
I have recently ended upon a consolidation engine error (CSD-070, CSD-080). Searching in the forum I have see some threads talking about some documentation about these errors. Could anyone please send that documentation?
About the CSD-070 (No Time available) & CSD-080 (No Group Available) errors, does anybody know what they can be related to?

Error documented goods movements

I have done the good issue of the components of a process order.
If I ckeck it in the order in Lits-> documented goods movement, sytem showe me an error 'There is no data for the selection'
What is wrong? why does not show me the movements of good issue?

We are running OVM 2.2 on HP chassis with passthrough modules. Our OVM environment crashed hard three times because of the HP hardware we were using. I was able to restart most of the vm and get things running. I now have a error status on my server pool. The Logs show nothings wrong so I don't know where to search. I can not access any resources such as templates, nor add new vm nor add new VM hosts. I love the product and I am new to it. I have exusted my search so this forum is my last hope.

Can someone tell me why oracle has removed all documentation about oracle errors from this website? I have a FRM-40735 error in forms builder 9i, and there are no resources to find out what this means. Pretty stupid if you ask me

First time OVM 3.0.3 Error - create_server_pool failed
Hello,
1) I've downloaded Oracle VM Server 3.0.3 and successfully installed it on a physical machine. - 192.168.1.144. There's only local disk on this machine.
2) I've installed Oracle Linux 6.2 and used it as the Oracle VM 3.0.3 Manager install in my VMWare Fusion (same subnet as the above) - 192.168.1.102
3) I was able to discover server and Oracle VM Server 3.0.3 now shows as Unassigned.
Now I'm stuck at creating the Server Pool - I gave it a virtual IP 192.168.1.30 and disable the "Activate Cluster" since it's only a local disk.
However I got an error (please see below). How can I fix this? What did I do wrong?

I'm getting the exact same error.
What i have :
ovmm 3.2.2 installed on a IBM server (local ip 10.0.2.80) hostname jrol6
ovms 3.2.2 installed on a laptop (local ip 10.0.2.78) hostname ibmvm5
what i have done so fare.
i have discover the vm server in vm manager and made a server pool called jay-net.Glostrup.ibmvm05 with a virtuel network ip 10.0.2.245
I've tested if i can ping from both ends by using ip and hostname, and both got replays.
I've fiddled abit around whit the ip's and the virtual ip network. but nothing help.
"Name or Service Unknown" sounds like the server IP or Name in your discover attempt cannot be found at the specified address on the networks available to the Manager and Host. Verify all networking settings and connectivity.
I don't really know what you mean with the Manager and Host. -

OVM 3.0.3 error, "VIP in use: conflict detected" when ovs-agent starts...
Edited the Server Pool to set a new pool master "ovm3", now when booting the previous pool master "ovm2", I get the following errors when starting ovs-agent

If it is, you can force it down by command: ifdown ethX.X
Of course this shouldnt be happening, is your server pool happy otherwise? Aka, can you re-discover the servers without error? -

I am running OVM 3.1.1 in a 2 servers cluster. on one of the server I noticed that following errors happening very frequently in /var/log/ovs-agent.log. whereas 2nd OVM Server has no errors. I also noticed in OVM manager that if I go to "repository" tab, every thing in repository has "lock" sign on it.
I am trying to create a clone from one of the templates but it just stays in "in progress" at 0% for ages and nothing happens.
I do not have any idea where and why these errors are generated. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm getting the same errors and I can't find anything on MOS which indicates what could it be. Same setup as yours, 2 servers in the cluster pool and one is throwing errors and the other is not.
