How do you burn a slideshow from Iphoto to a disc.
Export the slideshow from iPhoto, that makes a movie of it.
Do you want to use this DVD in a domestic DVD player? If so, then the disk will have to be 'authored' to make it the correct form for that. If you have iDVD then that's the app you use. However, iDVD is no longer developed or distributed by Apple. You may be able to get it on an old iLIfe install disk.

I do find that using one of these programs will reduce the sharpness of the photos.
Granted, I've never used iPhoto - I use Photo to Movie for slideshows and various versions of iMovie for videos, but my pics are excellent quality and my videos are shot in 1080p (better camera) or 720p (small camera) and the results are superb on my TV using both iDVD and Toast. However, I do not encode in iDVD, I simply use it to add a theme and menus. The encoding is done by Photo to Movie, or iMovie 06 HD (the only version ever to process losslessly) and either/both are imported into iDVD as a complete .mov, or Toast.
Since using those methods, I've never had a problem with the sharpness or crispness of my footage. My eyes cannot discern a difference between my "production" and true HD (unless of course I shook the camera while shooting, LOL). -

How do you burn iPhoto slideshow to DVD? I exported to Quick Time & burned as movie but won't play on DVD player.
If you want it to play on a domestic DVD player then the disk must be created in iDVD. The format of such a disk is quite specific and iDVD is the app the makes these formats.

Can you edit a person out of one photo and add them to another photo? Like if you need the head shot from one photo to replace closed eyes in the other photo? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
Yes, this is done often. You will need to create a Mask of that person, to separate them from the background of the original Image.
I like to do this with a Layer Mask, as it offers control, and really does not alter the Image, so you can go back and make changes.
Let's say that you have Image 01 w/ the head of your subject, and want to place it into Image 02. In Image 01, make a rough Selection. I would include a bit of extra background, as we will take care of that in a moment. With that Selection active, Copy the head shot. Go to Image 02, and Paste it. It will Paste in its own Layer. Ctrl+T (Free Transform) can be used to Scale and also position that Layer with the head. Once you have that Scaled and positioned about where you want it, create a Layer Mask. In QuickMask Mode, just paint in the additional Mask to remove all traces of the background that came in with the head shot. As you can paint OUT, and also paint IN the Mask, you can work on this, as many times as you wish - even next year.

There are many tool and "tricks" to accomplish this manipulation. However, depending on the image one technique might be more appropriate than an other. And then there is the question of how to do it "skillfully". For example, the shadows in the person that is being substituted might be different than in the original image creating the obviously "photoshopped" look.
Doing an Internet search on your posting title brings up lots of examples. -

Pictures in Photo Library are synced from your computer and must be deleted from there, followed by re-sync. Photos in Camera Roll can be deleted from your iPhone directly (tap arrow in top right, tap the pictures you want to delete, press the Delete button).

I burned a slideshow in Aperture onto a DVD containing about 40 photos with a sound track from iTunes. The disk will play on my iMac but not on my wife's PC or on two of our DVD players (less than three years old.). What am I missing in the burning sequence that causes the problem?
What Shutttleworth says is the way to go however you might run into one gotcha, iDvd is no longer available if you bought your current machine with Lion on it.
iDvd use to be part of iLife but is no longer offered as either a seperate download from the App Store or as part of any App Store bundle. If you can still find an iLife boxed set iDvd will be on the DVD in the box. Other then that you'll need to look at thrid party solutions.
Of course if you upgraded to Lion and had iLife before the upgrade you should have a copy of iDvd.

Burning a slideshow from imovie to idvd doesn't work...Please help

I'm trying to burn a slideshow I created in imovie to DVD but it doesn't seem to work. Everytime I click on the burn icon in idvd it tells me to insert a blank DVD. Once i insert a blank dvd it spits it right out.
I'm getting married on July 1 and I need this slideshow to work.

powerbook g4 12 inch Mac OS X (10.3.9)When you upload the site is has nothing to do with iWeb and people who work for the hosting companies and say that iWeb is the problem or is rubbish do not have a clue what they are talking about. They use it as an excuse because they don't understand what they are doing.
What folder do you have to upload your site to on the server? Is it called "public_html", or "htdocs" or something like this? If so, then in the directory/path, where some can leave it blank, you can enter public_html or htdocs or whatever file you upload to on your server. This should then work.
Your other option of course, is not to use the iWeb built in ftp, but to select publish to a local folder and then download Cyberduck - a dedicated ftp programme and use this to upload your site. If you use Cyberduck, then you can connect directly with your server and you can see exactly where all your site files are being uploaded to and exactly what folder on your server you have to upload to. If you use iWeb ftp, then you are working blind really and just hoping for the best.
Either try inserting the name of your folder in the directory/path section or publishing to a local folder and using Cyberduck to upload instead. -
Trying to burn a slideshow to dvd.I can get it just the way I want in Iphoto,but when I send it to Idvd,it changes akk the transition settings.Help?
Try exporting the slideshow as a QT movie file. It should keep all of your transitions, etc. and then you can drag the QT file into the iDVD menu being careful to avoid any drop zones.

Yes, there are other programs that will put a movie on a DVD. I have tried most of the other substitutes including Toast, Burn, DVD Creator, Wondershare, and others. None of them come anywhere near the ease-of-use and power of iDVD. IDVD is specifically designed to work with iMovie.

IDVD is easy to get. It is available on disk as part of iLife 11.

The Photos App in iOS 8 has a slideshow feature which (in theory) allows you to play a slideshow of all photos in an album with a variety of transitions and with music selected from your iTunes library.
The slideshow is initiated from a slideshow button in the App. Dialogue shown below.
When playing the slide show on the iPad, it works as advertised...photos cycle and music plays.
As shown, however, you should be able to Airplay the slideshow to an Apple TV.
The issue I've hit is that, although the show Airplays across and cycles through with no issue, the music just refuses to play, so the photos cycle through in silence.
Audio air playing is working as I can play a song using the music App and it streams over the slideshow playing on the Apple TV.
Gear is:
iPad Mini Retina (1st Gen) + iPad 2 both running 8.1.2
Apple TV (2nd Gen) on latest released version

I have Office 2011 which includes Word. Ever since downloading Mavericks, when I try to send a two-page Word document by email, some recipients get only one page. Also when burning an image from iPhoto (usually no larger than 1mb) on to a disc, only part of it appears. It appears to have been magnified so that only a part of the image appears. Can anyone enlighten me as to what is happening? And how to fix it??
