OWA 2013 export email

Hi Team,
i had a question,
can OWA 2013 user export email to attachment to local file?
like eml format?
please tell me the guide if available :)
thanks Team
Regards

Hi,
Based on my knowledge, we can export messages from OWA in Office 365 Exchange Online. But I'm afraid that Exchange 2013 OWA doesn't have this function. Your understanding will be appreciated.

  • How to find emails without an assigned category in OWA 2013

We have a number of people that use OWA to manage some shared mailboxes.  Recently, these were migrated from Exchange 2007 SP3 to Exchange 2013, SP1
they heavily utilize the category feature on messages in the mailboxes, and occasionally need to find messages that have not been assigned a category.
In OWA 2007, they were able to use the Search function with the parameter category:[] to find these messages.
It appears that functionality is no longer present in OWA 2013.  We can search for messages that belong to a specific category, but not to a message without a category.
Also, there appears to be no way to sort a folder by category.
Has anyone encountered this and found a work-around?

    Hi,
At present, "view by category" is not supported in OWA 2013. It is a feature available in Outlook. I suggest you add the account into Outlook and view items by categories.
    Best Regards.

  • OWA 2013 Apps in shared mailbox

Exchange 2013 SP1: Whenever I open my own mailbox in OWA (2013), I can see the 'Apps Bar' at the top of the email (such as Bing maps, Action Items etc) - but when I (or anyone else in the org) goes to 'Open another mailbox' that they
have full access permissions to, this App bar disappears as soon as the other mailbox loads. This causes an issue for us as one of the apps is Symantec Enterprise Vault. The same thing appears to happen in the full Outlook 2013 client as well.
Is there any way to make the App Bar appear when opening another mailbox?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Thank you for the reply.
This is a quick note to let you know that we are performing research on this issue.

    OWA 2013 Can't Update groups

    Hi,
I am receiving the following error, while tring to update Distribution list from OWA 2013:
"The group can't be updated right now. Please try again later"
I have searched, but the discussion are mentioning the possibility of old Distribution List migrated from Old Exchange 2003. But I am still getting this error for newly created Distribution List also.
According to this technet discussion, its an bug, but its old like in August 2013, URL:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/50937049-f919-4ce3-be21-24fdef2c7695/

So is it being fixed or is there any workaround to it.

I have Outlook 2007. Any Groups Created from Outlook is not editable, though I an create a new group (distribution list) on the OWA, which can be editable.
So What I feel is something with Outlook 2007.

    spmail.domainname.net
emails are receiced in SharePoint lists / library are working when incoming email settings using the default local smtp domain (spservername.domainname.net) but not working when using the alias domain (spmail.domainname.net).
Can anyone advice of what I have done wrong or missing in my configuration?
Thanks in advance for your comments or advices

I tried that but that did not work.  I got this error below.  Does that mean I need to create a DNS MX record for spmail.domainname.net to point it to the smtp server
    spservername.domain.net
    Thanks

It looks like you have a DNS mis-configuration in this case with regards to how your MX record is configured (if it exists at all).

  • Import/Export Email

Is there any way to import/export email from a user's account?

What do you want to import/export from?
I think you can do a dump of someone's mailbox using the imsbackup utility, but am not sure what format this gives you. Probably you can only import this into another iMS server.
Apart from that, you could look at what tools your mail clients have for saving and importing messages. I think Outlook express has an archive utility that you could use. To import from Outlook to the server, you could use the iPlanet sync tool. This will synchronise in both directions between the iMS mail server and various clients. These include Outlook, Windows CE handhelds, palms, etc. Basically, if you set this up to synchronise with Outlook, then you can import/export using anything that will interface with Outlook.
Of course you don't have to use Microshaft products. You could use any mail client to do this. Not sure about synching with other clients cos we've not done it.
I'm not sure how you can get hold of this synching tool. There were various beta versions floating around about a year or so ago and I would have expected that they would have released a supported version by now. Then again.....

  • Export email addresses from Mail?

Is there any way to export email addresses from Mail into a CSV file? I know I can push it to Address Book then export but that mixes all the exports in with my existing addresses.

If you know SQL, you could export out of the previous recipients database file inside your user/Library/Application Support/AddressBook folder. It's a sqlite3 database.

  • How do i export emails to excel?

I am trying to categorize and count emails in Mac Mail.  Is it possible to export emails from Mac Mail into Excel so that I can sort and count based on "sent from" and "date"?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I don't know of any way to do it using Mail or other GUI tools, but it's certainly not impossible with some work in Terminal.  I can easily give you a partial solution. If that's acceptable to you, the following type of commands should help:
Firstly, you need to open Terminal and change directories into your mailbox folder.  The name of this will depend a bit on the account you are using but it should be something like:
    cd Library/Mail/V2/POP-username@domain
Then you need to find all the mail files and extract the fields you want:
    find . -type f -name \*.emlx -exec egrep "From:|Return-path:|Subject:|Message-ID"  {} \;
At this point to put the fields together in one line with a field separator (I wouldn't recommend a comma because the subject might include a comma) would make that command pretty messy I think. However it shouldn't be too hard to take the output and process it.
Hope that helps get you started.

  • Exporting  Email Address Question (for Mailchimp purposes)

Hello. I'm preparing an email campaign and am having trouble with the following.  How do  I get the email addresses from a SPECIFIC FOLDER in Mail (i have many) to export either to Address Book (into an SPECIFIC GROUP) or to a  file of some sort that can later be imported into Chimpmail.  I know about the window>previous recepient way, but that only offers to put all the names and email addresses in my entire IN BOX (over a dozen folders) into my ALL MY CONTACTS in address book (which I don't want, I would like to direct the exported email addresses (from a specific folder in Mail) into a specific group in Address Book.
    Thank you, Marcos

No there is no option as you mentioned. But what you can do is setting a "Reply to" for all the messages that you reply for your work email. To do so -
Go to Email Settings icon on your device
Login using the user name and password (if already set by you)
Under Services click on Email Account
Under your @blackberry.bet ID click Edit
Type in your work email ID in the Reply To field

  • Exporting Email From Thunderbird

When I made the full time transition from Windows to Linux, I selected Thunderbird as my email again, and imported all my Outlook Express mailboxes (and I have a lot of them) into Thunderbird. Thunderbird is a good mail agent, but I am getting worried about being locked into one mail agent again, much as I was with Windows.
Are there any programs out there that can EXPORT email from Thunderbird into some neutral format like HTML or XML or some such?
Ultimately, I would like to start using Sylpheed, but I can't see any way to get my email from Thunderbird to Sylpheed.
    Any ideas anyone?

The beauty of this method is that you do it all from the client itself.  You would launch thunderbird as you normally do and set up a second account.  That second account should be an IMAP server.  Which IMAP server you use and where it is located is up to you.  If you have an ISP that provides IMAP mail that would be easiest otherwise you could set up your own somewhere.
(on a side note, since I am not an IMAP expert I would recommend downloading a trial version of Communigate Pro from stalker.com since it will install and work quickly for your purposes)
Once you have both accounts active and working in the client just drag the emails from the folder on one account to a folder on the other.  Thunderbird will automatically transfer the mails to the other server for you.
I should also point out that this isn't a thunderbird specific feature -- even outlook express will do this.
    Good luck!

  • Export email to PST based on specified subject for all mailboxes using -ContentFilter Entered via a Read-Host variable

I am attempting to recreate what we have done previously using exmerge under Exchange 2003 where we can archive out specific emails based on subject to pull out 0 days spam etc.  What I want to do first is to copy the mails to an individual .pst per
user (in case we need to pull any emails back)
I have manged to do this with using the following command (in this example extracting a subject containing the sub-phrase junktest):
    foreach ($mbx in (Get-Mailbox | Where {$_.ExchangeVersion.ExchangeBuild.Major -eq 14})) {New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox $mbx -ContentFilter {(subject -like "*junktest*")} -FilePath "\\ssf-adm-ex01\mailboxexport\$($mbx.Alias).pst"}
I would like now to simplify the use of this so I am attempting to create a script where the user can input the emails Subject rather than having to edit the code each time.
However I cannot get this to work. Using the following script it just exports emails with a subject line of $subjectstring rather than the variables content
$subjectstring = Read-Host 'Please enter the Subject String'
    foreach ($mbx in (Get-Mailbox | Where {$_.ExchangeVersion.ExchangeBuild.Major -eq 14})) {New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox $mbx -ContentFilter {(subject -like "$subjectstring")} -FilePath "\\ssf-adm-ex01\mailboxexport\$($mbx.Alias).pst"}
using the following just exports all of the emails from the server
$subjectstring = Read-Host 'Please enter the Subject String'
    foreach ($mbx in (Get-Mailbox | Where {$_.ExchangeVersion.ExchangeBuild.Major -eq 14})) {New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox $mbx -ContentFilter {(subject -like $subjectstring)} -FilePath "\\ssf-adm-ex01\mailboxexport\$($mbx.Alias).pst"}
I have tried all sorts of  combinations however I cannot get this to work correctly.
Can anyone help a powershll newbie out?  Thanks in advance.

    Try:
    -ContentFilter "subject -like '$subjectstring'"
No braces.  See what that does for you.
    This works like a dream.
Thank you for your help,  it is appreciated.

  • Workflow approvals in OWA 2013 - App Error something went wrong

    Hi,
We are testing an attribute workflow approval. When the approver reads the message in OWA 2013, expands 'action items' we see the following error...instead of the usual 'Approve' or 'Reject' buttons. This computer does not have Outlook, so we cannot deploy
the FIM add-ins and extensions...but I dont think they are required if we're just using OWA?
    Thank you

    Hello Shim!
As far as I know the action items in OWA cannot display "approve" or "reject" options witch sends an response to FIM Service account Mailbox. The options Microsoft offers is FIM portal, Outlook with add-ins.

  • Outlook 2013 Issues (Emails go missing when stucked in Outbox after restarted Outlook)

    Hi,
I have being using Outlook 2013 for email but i have face for two main issues as below which is quite annoy me sometime.
    1. Email stucked at Outbox (even is just a normal email without attahcment). Those emails which were stucked at Outbox will goes missing if i just close the Outlook and re-open the Outlook again.
    2. Outlook will hangs/ freeze (showing Not Responding) when half way I just viewing my email in Inbox or I click on Calendar.
I have tried to some of the suggestion across other forums such as:
    - Disable the add-in (example: Social Outlook Connector/ Lync Meeting (which i dont have it to use) and etc.)
    - Checked on the Program Features and clear all the office plugin
    - Change the Aero Setting in Windows
    - Disable Anti Virus (Just guessing)
    - Reinstalled the Office 2013 (Outlook 2013)
    - recreated the Outlook profile
However after tried, the first two issue still happened and the critical part is the email will goes missing after i reopen the Outlook.
    More Info:
    - When the email stuck at Outbox, the Outlook is show "Connected to Exchange"
    - My company is using Exchange Server 2007 R2 (not sure got any related or not)
Anyone can get help on this?!!! Thanks a lot!!!
The reason I re-posted this issue as the previous as remarked as answered but somehow after that no more ppl reply.. i need more ppl's suggestion here!!
    Thank you

    Hi,
Generally for emails stuck in Outbox issue, we need to try basic steps as below:
    1. Work offline, move the stuck mail into another folder. Restart Outlook and Work online to send it again.
    2. Temporarily uninstall or disable firewall and antivirus software.
    3. Test in Outlook safe mode.
    4. Create a new profile and re-setup your account.
As you have tried to disable Anti-virus, we also remind you to disable the firewall to test.
Please run MFCMAPI to check if there are emails or corrupted items that are stuck in Outbox, if yes, please delete them.
