OWA not accessible after setting up vpn through ASA 5505
I have a client that is running Win2003 Server R2 with Exchange Server 2003. OWA was setup and clients could connect to their exchange mailbox from the internet with no problems.
We recently configured vpn on the ASA 5505 and now no-one can connect to OWA since that time.
Here is what I have for a configuration.
Any thoughts?
I thought OWA uses tcp port 80 by default, or 443 if you use https. Ignore the rest if this fact is wrong. Otherwise ...
In your config there is nothing to allow the www traffic in the access-list outside_access_in
access-list outside_access_in extended permit tcp any interface outside eq 80
and no static nat for this
static (inside,outside) tcp interface 80 192.168.0.254 80 netmask 255.255.255.255
I think these must have got deleted when you made the other changes ? Hope this helps.

On the iPod, make sure your Calendar is set to Gregorian (Settings > General > International > Calendar). Also make sure your date and time on your computer is correct as well as the Time Zones on both.

This seems to be most common with lower resolution pictures. You can go into settings > general > accessibility and turn reduce motion motion off and then try to rescale. Or user a higher resolution picture, which works better with the new OS.

Im in the middle of configuring Ip Phone SSL VPN through ASA, got stuck on authentication.. When I enter username and password on the phone screen, i get "Username and password failed" message on the screen. However, in ASA logs I see the following line
Feb 16 2011 15:12:57 725002 85.132.43.67 52684 Device completed SSL handshake with client vpn:85.132.*.*/52684
Feb 16 2011 15:17:26 725007 85.132.43.67 52745 SSL session with client vpn:85.132.*.*/52745 terminated.
What does it mean? How can I turn on debugging to see what is going on?
Thank you in advance!Hi,
If you're not using certificates in client authentication then the SSL handshake will complete before the user is requested to authenticate with username/password. If this authentication request fails you will see the SSL session terminated immediately following this failure (as in the logs you provided). Notice the 5 seconds between the SSL session establishment and termination, this is most likely when the user is being authenticated against the aaa server. If the phone is failing authentication against an external aaa-server you'll want to investigate the logs on that server to determine the root cause of the failure. The ASA can also provide confirmation of the authentication request/reject with the command 'show aaa-server'. If you want to see what's going on at an authentication protocol level you can enable several debugs including "debug aaa authentication|common|internal' and protocol specific debugs such as 'debug radius user|session|all' or 'debug ldap'.

Hi community,
I just got a new S205 and wanted to install Win7 and archlinux in dual boot (GPT formatted SSD).
Win7 installation worked like a charm. Archlinux worked well aswell, unfortunately i couldn't make a boot entry following this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide#EFISTUB
So i had to manually create the boot entry using bcfg command in an efi shell:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface#bcfg
The first attempt (I double checked that i got the right filesystem [fs0] and so on) failed and resulted in an automatic reboot. After this I immediately reentered the efi shell and tried again. This time I could create the boot entry.
Now if I reboot everything seems fine (I can dual boot Win and arch) BUT I cannot access BIOS/EFI menu via F2 anymore. It seems like it just does not exist anymore. How do I get it back? Should I just flash over with the original EFI from the Lenovo download page? I could theoretically do that (I can still change boot order using my arch live medium), but i could not reset EFI prior to flashing... which is always recommended to do.
So I am - again - pretty stuck with this EFI. I hope you can help and tell me what to do.
This EFI-Implementation on the S205 must be the worst piece of "engineering" ever.
Nothing works the way it is intended to... I would not dare to wash my hands clean off any faults, but ADDING a boot entry resulting in a not accessible BIOS/EFI menu... there's just something wrong.At least I now know what the problem is:
It seems like the S205 can only keep 7 boot entries in NVRAM (Can anybody concern?).
As I already have 7 boot entries:
adding a new entry using efibootmgr tool does not work (fails without error) and gummiboot doesn't work either. Nevertheless, adding a boot entry (for rEFInd) from within the UEFI shell works, but seems to result in deleting "Boot0000" aka Setup which then breaks my EFI. Breaking meaning that I cannot access it anymore.
I can however (and did so twice yesterday) flash the original EFI from within Windows and thus gain access to the EFI menu again. Nevertheless this resets my boot entries again so the refind (or gummiboot) bootloader gets deleted again and only Win7 is bootable.
Now what would be the smartest way to dual boot this system? Which of the boot entries is safe to delete so i could install refind/gummiboot instead? For instance, I don't know where USB FDD and USB CD come from. Can I delete them? Or won't I be able to boot from external CD-ROM or USB drive anymore if I delete them?
Or would it be best to delete the Win7 bootloader and try to have refind/gummiboot boot it? And will they at all be able to still find the Win7 boot files once I deleted Win7's boot entry? When I install refind as bootloader and manually add an boot entry for it using the bcfg boot add command it is able to load Windows7. But will this still be possible if I delete the Win7 boot entry? It would most likely be possible - I assume - if the Win7 boot files (on the EFI system partition) were still there even after deleting the boot entry. Can someone tell me how deleting a boot entry exactly works and which files get or don't get deleted?
Best regards. -
One of two wiki is not accessible after upgrade to maverick
Hello,
I migrated a 10.8.5 server to 10.9.1 today. I use the wiki and profile manager on the server. My problem is that I can see my two wiki, but one of them is not accessible. When I click over it I have an error message that the page you search for is not found. It is not an error from safari, is more an error from the wiki itself.
I think that my problem is the name of the wiki got an accent in it. The name of the wiki is "Procédure et standard" and the url in safari when I click over is "/wiki/projects/procédureetstandard/Procdure_et_standard.html" It is possible to search for an article in this wiki, and I will find him without any problem.
I tryed the command
wikiadmin fixPermissions
wikiadmin updateSchema
without success. I have a time machine backup from the server 10.8.5. What can I try?
ThanksThis is not that simple to do, all the process is for a 10.6.4 server. In 10.9 everything changed. I have less than 50 posts in the wiki. I think I will start a new wiki, and move all the article by the interface. It will be more "clean".
Thanks to try to help me Linc -

Site to Site VPN between ASA 5505 and Cisco 800 router
Evening all,
Hoping that someboy can see the error of my ways. It seems very like the problem that i read here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2016300
We have a cisco 800 in a remote site which we wanted to use for a site to site vpn. Went through the steps on the ASA 5505 and the 800 and have got to the stage were the tunnel is up and connected. Getting traffic through it is another matter. Remote network is 172.20.224.0/20 and the server network behind the ASA is 192.168.168.0/24. The tunnel does intiate when you send traffic from 172 ......to 192....... Both the ASA and 800 report the tunnel is up. If i look at the stats using ccp on the 800 i can see the encapsulation packets graph shooting up but nothing cominbg back. I did packet captures on the 5505 and could not see anything coming from the tunnel so i dont belive its making it to the ASA. Here is the config from the 800:

Problem with Remote Access VPN on ASA 5505
I am currently having an issue configuring an ASA 5505 to connect via remote access VPN using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 running on Windows 8 Pro x64. The VPN client prompts for the username and password during the connect process, but fails soon after.
The VPN client logs are as follows:

We have a hosted server with a new provider and we also opted for a firewall which is a ASA 5505. It turns out that they do not provide assistance with the firewall, so I have come here!
The server hosts multiple customer websites, along with both MySQL and SQL Server databases.
I would like to provide customers with the ability to connect to their databases remotely, for which I assume we need to create a VPN to allow them access through the firewall. Also, I would want them to be able to use the standard Windows connection tool(s).
Unfortunately, I know very little about this so I am looking for idiot-proof help ;-)
First of all, is this a safe thing to do - can I control what they can access on the server end?
What type of VPN do I need? I looked at one of the wizards and stopped at the point when it started talking about IP addresses ... what range should I / can I use? How does that relate to our server setup, or doesn't it?
I don't know what else to ask ... hopefully you can guide me in the right direction!Can you add this:
tunnel-group 64.53.58.229 type ipsec-l2l
tunnel-group 64.53.58.229 ipsec-attributes
pre-shared-key
Another thing i have noticed is the disconnect between the WAN IP (VLAN 2) and default gateway next hop IP address.

Problem transfer TFTP through ASA 5505
Hello,
I have a problem with my ASA 5505, I am not able to transfer files bigger than 100ko using TFTP. Below my archiecture:
CME<->ASA5505<->SW3650
Here is what I get when I try to download a file located on the 3650 on my CME:
CME#copy tftp flash
Address or name of remote host [X.X.X.X]?
Source filename [cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-3-1SR4-1[1].tar]?
Destination filename [cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-3-1SR4-1[1].tar]?
Accessing tftp://X.X.X.X/cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-3-1SR4-1[1].tar...
Loading cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-3-1SR4-1[1].tar from 10.52.199.126 (via GigabitEthernet0/0): !... [timed out]
Error reading tftp://10.52.199.126/cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-3-1SR4-1[1].tar (Connection timed out)
When I look on the ASA monitoring page, I see that a UDP connection is built between the ASA and the SW3650 but 2 minutes later there are "Teardown UDP connection" messages.
Can you please help me? Due to this transfer issue, I am not able to upgrade my IP Phones (the phones only download the first 2 files because there are smaller than 100ko).
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards.
Thomas.Default UDP connection time out is 2 minutes through the ASA.
You can modify the timeout values for the specific flow from a particular source to destination . Try changing the default connection timeout of UDP
ASA(config)# access-list CONNS permit udp host CME ip tftp serverip port
ASA(config)# class-map CONNS
ASA(config-cmap)#match access-list CONNS
ASA(config)# policy-map CONNS
ASA(config-pmap)# class CONNS
ASA(config-pmap-c)# set connection timeout idle 00:30:00
ASA(config)# service-policy CONNS {global | interface interface_name}
you can also globally change the timeout value of UDP using:
ASA(config)# timeout udp 00:30:00

Unable to establish site to site vpn between asa 5505 an 5510
Hi ALL expert
We are now plan to form a site to site IPSec VPN tunnel between ASA 5505 (ASA Version 8.4) and ASA 5510 (ASA Version 8.0) but failure, would you please teach me how to establish it? Any reference guide?
HugoHere are the links to the cisco config-guides:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/configuration/guide/site2sit.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/vpn_site2site.html
In addition to VPN you need to look into NAT exemption:

Problem with VPN by ASA 5505 and PIX 501
Hi
I have this scenario: Firewall ASA 5505, Firewall Pix 501 (with CatOS 6.3(5) ).
I have configured this appliance for Easy VPN (server is ASA) and PIX, and remote Access with Cisco client vpn (for internal lan ASA).
When i configure the ASA i have this problem, when i configure nat for easy vpn.
This is my nat configuration:
nat (inside) 0 access-list 100
nat (inside) 1 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
nat (inside) 0 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 outside
when i put this command:
nat (inside) 0 access-list no-nat
this command is necessary for configuration of easy vpn, but the previous nat:
nat (inside) 0 access-list 100
is replace with the latest command.To identify addresses on one interface that are translated to mapped addresses on another interface, use the nat command in global configuration mode. This command configures dynamic NAT or PAT, where an address is translated to one of a pool of mapped addresses. To remove the nat command, use the no form of this command.
For regular dynamic NAT:
nat (real_ifc) nat_id real_ip [mask [dns] [outside] [udp udp_max_conns] [norandomseq]]
no nat (real_ifc) nat_id real_ip [mask [dns] [outside] [udp udp_max_conns] [norandomseq]]
For policy dynamic NAT and NAT exemption:
nat (real_ifc) nat_id access-list access_list_name [dns] [outside] [udp udp_max_conns] [norandomseq]
no nat (real_ifc) nat_id access-list access_list_name [dns] [outside] [udp udp_max_conns] [norandomseq] -
Lead Selection does not work after setting filter for ALV.
Hi, Can you please suggest on below scenario :
I have a Node with a sub node in it .
I am using the supply function on Sub Node to retrieve the date based on Parent Node.
There are two ALV's to display parent and item data. The issue is when a filter(user defined filter) is done on Parent table, the supply function does not work. The value is that of the selected row before setting the filter. Even after removing the filter, the item data is stuck and does not change on Lead Selection.
One thing I noticed is if the child table is a table UI, there is no issue. The only problem is when the second table is ALV
Thanks In AdvanceHi Prashanthi,
Your issue can be resolved as below
Create an event handler method 'set_alv_data' for the event 'ON_LEAD_SELECT' of parent alv
Write the below code inside the event handler method
METHOD set_alv_data.
DATA lo_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
DATA lv_path TYPE string.
DATA lv_index TYPE string.
lv_index = r_param->index.
CONDENSE lv_index.
CONCATENATE wd_this->wdctx_my_parent_node
lv_index
wd_this->wdctx_my_child_node
INTO lv_path SEPARATED BY '.'.
lo_node = wd_context->path_get_node(
path = lv_path
DATA lo_interface TYPE REF TO iwci_salv_wd_table.
lo_interface = wd_this->wd_cpifc_alv_child( ). "get the ref of alv comp of child
lo_interface->set_data(
EXPORTING
* only_if_new_descr =
r_node_data = lo_node
ENDMETHOD.
The above code sets the data node of child alv based on lead selection of parent alv data.
Note: Replace 'parent_node', 'child_node' with your nodes & 'alv_child' with your alv component name of child alv.
If you want to control the data of child alv on filter function, you can use the event ON_STD_FUNCTION_AFTE and once you define the filter you get the r_param->id = 'SALV_WD_FILTER_DEFINE' & now you can clear data of child alv.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Rama
