  • Need script profiler.sql (available on Metalink, Doc Id: 243755)

    Hi All,
I need a document available at metalink named script profiler.sql (Doc Id: 243755). I don't have access to metalink. Please, someone do me a favour. Paste the content here in forum or email me the doc ([email protected]).
    Thanks for your support.

    Hi Mr Sybrand,
I know u r so helping in this forum but I think u go harsh sometimes. I hope u read my reply before u replied. I wasn't asking something for FREE while I didn't know that it can't be obtained for free.
I agreed on that it is NOT allowed to get info from metalink without the proper license.
Oh, I didn't know this. At least someone look into it and tell what is it all about and how the same could be achieved, if possible. Thanks.I guess the first reply told me this fact.

  • OWB patch on RAC

    Hi,
I just added the 10.2.0.3 patch to our OWB installation (2-node RAC on Linux).
According to the logfile everything went fine, but only one of the entries in the table OWBRT_SYS.OWBRTPS was updated.
Do I need to run the upgrade script (DTupg102to10203_10gR2.sh) from both nodes
    to complete the patch/upgrade?
Or would it be safe to update the table manually?

I could resolve this issue. Oracle is not supporting rolling upgrade for this version. So went with non rolling upgrade. That resolved this issue.

  • ANNOUNCEMENT: Headstart Utilities Patch 6.5.2.3 now available on Supplement Option!

    All,
Subscribers of the Supplement Option can now download Headstart Patch 6.5.2.3 and Headstart for Apps patch 6.5.2.3
from My Oracle, using the iDevelopment Accelerators link in the Supplement Offering portlet.
The main purpose of this patch is to improve the performance of the CDM RuleFrame engine
    when large transactions are involved.
During development and testing of this patch the following improvements of the CDM RuleFrame engine
were measured on an Windows 2000 laptop with RDBMS 8.1.7.1.1.
    - 100 DML statements, 3 Business Rules per statement performance improved from 1.45 sec to 1.05 sec (28%)
    - 500 DML statements, 3 Business Rules per statement performance improved from 23.760 sec to 8.48 sec (64%)
    - 1000 DML statements, 3 Business Rules per statement performance improved from 78.79 sec to 19.260 sec (76%)
    - 2000 DML statements, 3 Business Rules per statement performance improved from above 300 sec to 48.22 sec (83%)
    - 5000 DML statements, 3 Business Rules per statement performance improved from ??? to 143.41 sec
It evolves that the RuleFrame engine takes up more time for larger transactions now in a rather linear way.
This means that within 15 minutes more than 100.000 business rules can be validated
on a small windows 2000 laptop.
Besides this performance improvement, the patch also implements the following enhancements to CDM RuleFrame:
    - The utility 'Create CAPI Custom Service' makes it possible to include a CAPI Custom Service
(that is, your own package or function) in more than one CAPI
    - The utility 'Create VAPI Definition' can now also create VAPI's for subtypes (controlled by new utility parameter)
Furthermore, several Utilities bugs have been fixed in this patch. See the readme in the patch for more details.
If you don't have the Supplement Option, contact your local Oracle Consulting representative.
For more information, read the original announcement of the Supplement Option in this forum at
    Re: Archiving the data .
    kind regards,
    The Headstart Team.

I was running just the base version of Headstart until yesterday, when I applied all 3 patches at once. On the base version this column wasn't being included in the CAPI, and now it is, so I guess the change could've come about in any of the patches.
The name of my table is reg_photos, and the column that has Complete=No is large_image.
The specific areas of the CAPI where it's included and which cause compilation errors are:
There's public cursors at the start of the package where the column is being selected:
    -- public cursors
-- cursor to select one particular row
    cursor c_rpho
    ( b_project_code in varchar2
    , b_photo_no in number
    ) is
    select rpho.rowid the_rowid
    , rpho.project_code
    , rpho.photo_no
    , rpho.photo_type
    , rpho.photo_date
    , rpho.small_image
    , rpho.large_image
    , rpho.created_by
    , rpho.creation_date
    , rpho.last_updated_by
    , rpho.last_update_date
    from reg_photos rpho
    where rpho.project_code = b_project_code
    and rpho.photo_no = b_photo_no
-- cursor to select all rows
    cursor c_rpho_all
    is
    select rpho.rowid the_rowid
    , rpho.project_code
    , rpho.photo_no
    , rpho.photo_type
    , rpho.photo_date
    , rpho.small_image
    , rpho.large_image
    , rpho.created_by
    , rpho.creation_date
    , rpho.last_updated_by
    , rpho.last_update_date
    from reg_photos rpho
It's also included in function get_char_value but this isn't causing a compilation error:
    elsif upper(p_column_name) = 'LARGE_IMAGE'
    then
    return l_row.large_image;
    And also in procedure validate_row:
    g_current_ind.large_image := true;
I guess it's easy enough to go in and comment all the references out, but I would've thought that columns of this nature should not be included in the CAPI in the first place?
    Thanks,
    Kim.

  • 10.1.3.0.9 available via metalink  - still no support for Outlook 2007

It's available as Patch 6120041 via metalink...

Well, AFAIK 10.1.3.10 was the version released for Outlook 07. In any case, for me it doesn't work either...
Clean XP SP3 install, and Office 2007 Enterprise SP1. When I install the connector, it crashes trying to connec to the calendar server (outlook hangs, crashes, etc.)
Cleared out profiles, deleted the files as well, uninstalled, reinstalled - nothing.
Tried out 10.1.3.11 released in metalink but still same issues.
Tried to configure it as calendar only - still nothing.
I'm back at uninstalling Office 2007 - Installing Outlook 2003 and then installing back Office 2007, keeping Outlook 03.

  • Ann: 9.2.0.2 Patchset is available from metalink

The 9.2.0.2.0 Patch set is now available for all platforms other than NT. Customers with valid support contracts can download this patch set from the http://metalink.oracle.com. Look under patches, Oracle Database and the required platform. NT version will be available soon. This is a mandatory patch for all customers requesting support on Oracle XML DB features. It includes fixes for many of the bugs that have been reported in this forum.
Please ensure that when requesting help in this forum you identify whether or not you have installed the 9.2.0.2.0 patch set. In general we will expect you to have installed this patchset when reporting an issue.
Also not that you cannot use a 9.2.0.1.0 client against a 9.2.0.2.0 database. Do not attempt to use the current 9.2.0.1.0 client against a server that has been upgraded to 9.2.0.2.0.
Your feedback on 9.2.0.2.0 will be much appreciated.

You should always try to keep client and server patch levels syncronised. Client should never be earlier than server. Ideally you should try and install the latest database version (10.2.x) and latest patch (10.2.0.3.0) or if you must work with 9.2.x use 9.2.0.8.0 for the database version you are using. Note 9.2.0.1.0 and 9.2.0.2.0 are not supported for XML DB

  • Unable to reach Workspace Login Page

    Hi,
First some background - I am an Apex developer / administrator. I do not have a DBA background. DBAs install the Apex software and I administer the webserver (although my experience with webservers is that which I've picked up using Apex) and develop applications.
We are currently upgrading our DEV, QA and PROD APEX installations from 2.2.1 to 3.1.1 (specifically 3.1.1.00.09).
We are using Oracle HTTP Server from the Oracle 10.1 companion disk.
We completed this for our DEV and QA environments without a problem. We have not done this for our PROD environment yet.
We also installed APEXLIB 1.7 in both DEV and QA. This was working successfully in DEV. We had not tried it yet in QA.
Both 3.1.1 upgraded environments have been running successfully for about 10 days since the upgrade.
However our QA environment (Oracle 10.2.0.3 running on HP-UX B.11.11 ) experienced a problem yesterday - we can no longer access any Apex applications including the Workspace login pages or application login pages.
The error we get in the browser is:
Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
Error ERR-7620 Could not determine workspace for application ().
We experienced a problem with our QA environment before (prior to upgrade) and we needed to flush the shared pool a few months ago as a temporary fix for this as has been noted on this forum. The problem in question was addressed in this forum post: Re: ORA-06502:PL/SQL: numeric or value error: NULL index table key value
However, with the current problem, flushing the shared pool has not solved the issue. It may not be related.
When we access the workspace login page: http://our_url/apex/crmqa/f?p=4550:1, I see nothing in the Apache logs to indicate an error.
The access_log.xxx file in the Apache logs lists this ...
    ip_address_here - apex_public_user [16/Jul/2008:15:15:15 -0500] "GET /apex/crmqa/f?p=4550:1 HTTP/1.1" 200 455
    The error_log.xxx file is empty.
I temporarily turned on mod_plsql logging
When I tried to access http://our_url/apex/crmqa/f?p=4550:1

The DAD entries above point to databases on which Apex is version 3.1.1 and we have modified the image prefix on these database to be a value of /i31, using the script reset_image_prefix.sql.

I can ping the database ip address from the machine on which the OHS webserver is running.
I have installed OHS on my local laptop and have the same problems.
I can however execute a procedure on the database using the same OHS / DAD configuration running something like http://our_url/apex/crmqa/schema_name.test_connection?v_wait=1where the proc test_connection proc sleeps for v_wait seconds before returning a simple html page confirming that it worked.
I can login to the apex_public_user account via my SQL Developer client
At this point I do not know what else to try to resolve this issue. I am about to start trawling through metalink for related issues if I can find anything.
Any assistance is very much appreciated...
    Thank you.

    Applies to:
Oracle Application Express (formerly HTML DB) - Version: 2.0.0.0.49
This problem can occur on any platform.
    Symptoms
On the Application builder page, when attempting to click details to view the applications, the following error occurs:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: NULL index table key value
However, the problem seems to disappear after a while..
    Changes
Upgrade of database (from any version to 10.2.0.1 or 10.2.0.2)
    Cause
The reason is due to database Bug 4752541 Abstract: APPSST 10G: ORA-6550 AFTER UPGRADE TO 10.2.0.1. However Patch 47552541 is obsoleted and not available via metalink, it was superceded by Patch 5705795.
This bug is fixed in patchset 10.2.0.4 and above. For current and older versions, Patch 5705795 must be applied. If the patch cannot be found for a particular version or O/S , log a service request with Oracle Support to obtain the patch.
This is also documented in the Apex forum page: Re: wwv_flow.accept error lists the following bug as
    root cause.
    Solution
    Interim solution:
Flush the database shared pool when the problem occurs
    Permanent solution:
Upgrade database to 10.2.0.4 or above
    OR
Download and apply database Patch 5705795. If the version for your database is not available , create a new Service request from metalink under product RDBMS to request for a patch

    Checkwriter/Deposit Advice:
Oracle will de-support the Live Checkwriter and Deposit Advice for US and Canada beginning with EOY Phase 1 in September. Archive Checkwriter and Deposit Advice will continue to be supported. What this means is that new code changes and bug fixes will not be tested on the Live Checkwriter and Deposit Advice. Additionally, enhancements made to the Archive version will NOT be made for the Live version.
*Note: If you would like to view the output of the archive version of this report without needing pre-printed stationery, try the following in a test instance:
    disable the trigger pay_action_parameters_ari
insert a row in pay_action_parameters with the following value -
    name=PRINT_REPORT_LABELS
    value=PAYUSCDA
    enable the trigger pay_action_parameters_ari
Run the report. This will print the labels and make it easier to check the report without needing pre-printed stationery.
In early summer, we are targeting release of an XML version of Checkwriter and Deposit Advice.
