OWSM installed on client Agent machine?

Hi,
If I need to install a client agent on a machine where the is no OAS installed i must install an OWSM on that machine (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10291_01/doc.1013/e10298/agents.htm#CIHBABDJ)
Is a OK to just do a basic (developer) standalone OWSM installation? If not you also need a database installed and then it begins to be a bit expensive.
What about monitoring. Can I configure is so the monitoring data is send to my main OWSM installation or will it only be available at the local OWSM?

I think, U should check JRE installed or notThis makes no sense. JVM is part of the JRE.

  • OWSM client agent install

    Hi,
Does the OWSM client agent support web service calls from the command line. Our web server has a server agent installed and most of the client calls are from J2EE applications which have OWSM client agent installed and these work perfectly.
However, we have an application which would like to call the web service from the command line, is it possible to somehow install a client agent or is this scenario do-able?
    Thanks a lot
    Niall.

If you are installing a service agent there is an example documented here:

  • SCCM Client Agent Deployment - Internet based client scenario

    Hi There,
I need to deploy SCCM 2012 client agent and certificate to the machines not connected to the corporate LAN. I know that SCCM agent and certificate needs to be installed manually on them ( or via Group Policy ).... but here I'm talking about 2000 internet
    based machines.
Can you please let me know the enterprise level best practice to capture those 2000 internet based machines.
50% of these machines may not come on corporate network for very long time....so cannot capture them by Group Policy... How to capture those machines.... Has anyone worked on a solution to create some kind of portal etc...whose link we can provide to the
users via email for them to just click and that installs both SCCM client agent and certificate....just a thought.
    Regards,
    Sam

There is no best practice as that would imply that every organization is the same and should do it the same way.
Ultimately, this challenge is unique to your organization -- not the specific ConfigMgr details, but how best to get it done within the resources and security posture of your organization.
If your users are local admins and you have a VPN solution, then you can potentially just send them batch files to run (that install a cert and install the client agent) when they are connected via VPN. You could potentially expose both via an HTTP download
and the CA web issuance pages also or using certutil (assuming the user has local admin permissions again). There simply are too many variables that are unique and specific to your environment to be able to describe any sort of complete solution.
Ultimately, it comes down to two parts, neither of which is overly complicated (or magic):
    1. Request and install client auth certificate.
      - Must be done as local admin
      - Can be automated using certutil and PowerShell
    2. Install ConfigMgr client agent
      - Must be done as local admin
      - Must be initiated by running ccmsetup (with appropriate switches and properties)
      - Must have access to rest of client setup files either locally, via the Internet DP, or Internet MP
      - Must be able to communicate with MP
I have seen folks publish scripts for this and web pages even so a little web searching may turn one of these up.

  • OWSM: client agent configuration

    Hi,
OWSM configuration says that _Stub.xml should include following configuration
    <runtime enabled="owsm">
    <owsm init-home="c:/wsmclient/owsm/config/interceptors/C0003009">
    </owsm>
    </runtime>
By doing this way we are hard coding the path in the file. This can't be used to deploy file stub on other machine.
How can we configure the property without hardcoding the path?
    -- Vigni

Application Server on which client application is deployed doesn't have OWSM installed on it. OWSM sits in a different tier.
Thus giving relative path can't point to the actual directory where cleint agent is copied to.

  • Clients Agent no longer installing all components properly

I attempted an upgrade to R2, but it failed, so I reverted back to a VM snapshot before the upgrade attempt and all is well except for installing the client during OSD.
The imaging process works fine, but once complete the agent isn't listing all the Components as installed or enabled:
    1) CCM Notification Agent: Disabled
    2) Most of the components that should have a status of Enabled are listed as Installed.
On top of that I'm running SP1 CU2 (5.00.7804.1300), but the newly imaged devices list all components as SP1 base (5.00.7804.1000).
I checked the LocationServices.log file on a client and after a few failed attempts to reach my MP it eventually finds the MP and connects using HTTPS (we use a PKI cert).
I reinstalled the MP by deleting the role, waiting, rebooting, adding it back.
What else can I do?  I'm thinking I'll try installing CU5.
So in short the client no longer completely installs, which prevents any WSUS updates or Software from being installed post OSD.

I only see errors under 3 components:
    SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY:
Network Discovery failed to connect to a DHCP server due to a connection error. (Network Discovery can communicate only with Microsoft DHCP servers; if you do not use these servers, you can ignore this error.)
Solution: If you are using Microsoft DHCP servers, then refer to the specific error string for details. This error message means that fewer clients and networks will be found than otherwise. Note that this message will not be generated again during this Network Discovery session, regardless of how often the error occurs.
    SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER:
Management Point encountered an error when connecting to the database CM_SITECODE on SQL Server sccmDatabase.domain.local. The OLEDB error code was 0x80004005.
Possible cause: The computer running SQL Server is turned off, not connected to the network, or not functioning properly.
Solution: Verify that the SQL Server is turned on, connected to the network, and functioning properly.
Possible cause: Management point does not have sufficient access rights to the database.
Solution: Verify that management point computer account or the Management Point Database Connection Account is a member of Management Point Role (msdbrole_MP) in the SQL Server database.
Possible cause: Network problems are preventing the management point from properly accessing the SQL Server.
Solution: Investigate and correct any problems with your network.
Possible cause: The management point having problems is at a secondary site, and SQL access account being used was recently reset by the parent site.
Solution: This can automatically repair itself after one hour , as long as the account in use is not locked out. Check that the account in use is not locked out. Instead of waiting an hour, you can stop and start the SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER service to immediately apply the new configuration.
Possible cause: The SQL Server Service Principal Names (SPNs) are not registered correctly in Active Directory
Solution: Ensure SQL Server SPNs are correctly registered. Review Q829868.
Then when I attempt the SCCM upgrade I see a lot of USMT and Boot Images fail to upgrade:

  • Fast Method to Install Oracle Client in multiple machines

    Hi all,
I need to install Oracle Data Provider for NET (and all depending Oracle client SW components) in multiple client machines.
Exist any other options (faster) without installing oracle client on each of the machines?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Really what i need to know is if is possible to install Oracle Data Provider for NET (and all depending Oracle client SW components) first in one client machine and then using it as "template", copy the folders of the installation of oracle and adding the appropriate registry entries in the rest client machines would be sufficient.
I do not know if this is possible. This would greatly facilitate installation on multiple machines that i need (i have to say that the machines are in different domains).
    Someone could help me?

  • Unable to Install Mobile Client on my machine

    Hi,
I am trying to install MSA on my machine but i am unable to do so . I have  got following installed on my machine
    JRE Version -   j2re1.4.2_09
    JSDK Version - j2sdk1.4.2_09
SQL Server 2005 with TCP/IP protocol enabled on it .
    MSA  Version -- CRM 5.0 SP07
Now if i  try to install the Mobile Client on my machine, it installs all the related tools like Client Console, Conntrans, IPC ,Support Centre, but does not install MSA or MSV .
I was able to install the MSA earlier on the same machine, but when i am trying to uninstall and reinstall its not working .
I tried removing relevant registry entries , uninstalling SQL Server and reinstalling it . Couple of restart of the machine between this , but it does not seems to work .
Please someone let me know if you have faced this problem and a solution for the same
    Regards
    Hemant Gujrati

    Hi Hemant,
It could be possible that not all the registry entries are removed. Please try the following:
    1. Take a backup of your registry in case we need it later
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. You will see many keys with product guids as names.
    3. Scroll through each one of them to see if any key has a value as MSA or MSV. If yes, then delete this key.
    4. Now try to run the installation of SAP CRM Mobile Client. This time, the setup should run fine.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create and configure proxies in ADF mobile using OWSM client agent?

    Hi
Can anyone please tell me how to create and configure proxies in ADF mobile application using Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent. I read it in mobile document that,
For secured web services, the user credentials are dynamically injected using ADF Mobile uses Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent to create and configure proxies, as well as to request services through the proxies. The user credentials are injected into the OWSM enforcement context when proxies are configured.
I am new with this OWSM, can anyone please give me some hints like how to proceed further for implementing authentication using OWSM lite mobile ADF Application Agent??
    Thanks in advance
    Raj

    Hi Juan
The demo is very useful, and in that Shay describes about the remote login using a regular ADF webapplication as a secured one and deploying it into the server. But I would like to know how to create a local login using OWSM client agent? .
Without creating a regular ADF webapplication, how can i call secured webservices(i.e., by using OWSM client agent how to create and configure proxies to call secured webservice, where the user credentials are injected into webservice request by OWSM client as mentioned in ADF mobile document)??

  • Machine disapprears after installing the client

    SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 Primary Site Server.
After we push the client to any machine, it gets installed successfully however that machine disappears from SCCM console temporarily. It shows up sometimes after 24-48 hours. No errors in any log files. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot such issue.

Sounds like a collection refresh needs to be done. As suggested, look in "Devices" or "All Systems" collections, can you see it then?

  • Can I install directly R2 CU1 client agent when using manual client push install

    Hi :)
I've done SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 update and created collections and package to deploy to that collection and update clients, but can I install directly to client R2 CU1 version ?
Now I've first run manualy client push install which install RTM version on client. After some time client shows up RTM version in console.
After that I have to wait that collection with RTM version be updated and update package deployed to that collection and than wait for heartbeat discovery so that client agent version is updated in console.
So, is there any shortcut ?
    Thank you
