This was very helpful!! I downloaded a podcast in iTunes AND directly from the source and looked at the two of them in a binary editor. The iTunes version was longer because several additional "keys" were added. They look like they set the fields you see in iTunes (Podcasts) and the stuff you see in the popup window when you click the ! No magic here, I copied the stuff (amounted to one line in the editor) from iTunes and pasted it into the other. The other now appears under Podcasts!!!! I will play with this more.
I am trying to do the same thing, i.e. there are several podcasts no longer available at iTunes, but are available at the podcast's web site. However, when I download them to my harddrive to \iTunes music\podcast\episode# AND then either "import" or "file>file to library" it places the file in iTunes Movies.
Granted, the world is not going to spot spinning on it's axis, however I like things to be more neat and tidy than having podcasts listed all over the joint.
I downloaded a binary editor and then opened both files in the editor. I can see a difference between the two files. But I do not know what to do with the difference. You mentioned that you "copied the stuff (amounted to one line in the editor) from iTunes and pasted it into the other." Can you expand on what exactly you copied and pasted. \I am in unknown territory and I am sure the press of the wrong button will have the earth stop spinning on it's axis

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

It's likely a hardware issue. The iOS will not directly cause this issue.

If that fails to resolve it, then try setting it up as new and testing again.

If the issue remains even after set up as new, it's a hardware problem, not a software problem. You'll need to contact Apple for you hardware service options. If within warranty it should be free. If not, expect to pay $149 USD + tax if it's an iPhone 4, $199 USD + tax if it's an iPhone 4S.

I have reset and still get this issue, I would go and click on open new tab and then I would see the tab on the toolbar. I would go and try to open the tab by clicking on it and it would not work. The mouse does not activate a tab, but a keyboard shortcut like Ctrl+2 to activate the second tab on the bar, does work?
The Reset was a good thing to try. But some add-ons may reinstall after a Reset so those are worth reviewing again.
Users have reported some new tab dysfunction is associated with Conduit add-ons, such as a Conduit plugin and/or a "Community Toolbar" extension.
You can check for and disable extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* <u>Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a</u> , Mac: Command+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that help with the "+" button? If so, could you name the specific extension that caused the problem?
You might also check the Plugins section of the Add-ons page. You can use "Never Activate" to disable plugins that you don't ordinarily use.

Unfortunately changing the epub text size does not change the view at all. The images do not seem to change when the text size setting is changed.
The resolution of my machine is already at the max setting, so increasing the resolution is kind of impossible.

hello, this sounds like the files in your [[Profiles|profile folder]] that store the information about your extensions might have become corrupted. please go to ''firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile - show folder...'' then windows explorer should open up your profile folder. in there look for the files named extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite, extensions.sqlite-journal (and in some cases also extensions.txt, extensions.rdf). delete or rename those files and quit firefox, they will be regenerated the next time you launch firefox.

Even more details:
If I send a message to the Jane Doe address from another account on this machine (all my family uses the same email services provider and each have accounts set up on this machine), when you open it, it shows Jane Doe then the <applejax.xx> address AND the picture associated with the Apple Jax account.
So the problem shows up when the message is sent to this account from this machine, AND when it is sent from this machine from this account. No other accounts on the machine are effected.
I have sent and received email messages from the mail service provider's website, and everything is fine.

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If you can create and use a new library then your current library is damaged.
If that's the case make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

My problem is it asks me to sign out and back in every time I try to update ITunes Match. And it won't let you add a new song to a playlist unless it's updated on Match. So every time I add a song I have to sign out and back in just to put it on a playlist. I saw this issue on the internet but no solution.
Very sorry I did iTunes Match. Shuffled my playlists without asking and this additional extra work just to add a song to a playlist. Not impressed - at all.

No, that's not mirroring. As I said that's basic airplay. Mirroring is an entirely different function.
What model iPod do you have? Mirroring requires an iPod Touch 5th Generation.
