I have P10-792 Toshiba satellite and I 'm trying to setup
intel 2100 WiFi but I cannot find the built-in antenna

The pc doesn't have a hardware on/off radio switch also.

Gandalf is right. There is no Wireless LAN Card on your Notebook. The best solution for you is on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com under Products > Options & accessories > Communications.
I found one for you. It is Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (802.11b/g) with part number PA3300U-1MPC.
If there is no on/off switch you can enable/disable it on many ways. If you buy one and need some help let us know.

Qosmio X775-Q7272 Audio problem when WiFi antenna is on

I have had this laptop since Oct 2011 and I love everything about it with one very annoying thing. It seems that any time that I play any form of audio (streaming from the net, MP3 on HD, from USB jump drive) I get what I would call digital stutter during the playback. I have found that if I turn the WiFi antenna off then the problem goes away. However, as soon as I turn the WiFi back on the problem comes back. I have already double checked all drivers and they are all current. I have seen other post of audio issues and was wondering if anyone else has tried playing with the WiFi on or off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The WiFi that I have is the Atheros and I have done a complete system restore at least 12 times and before I even let windows start it's parade of updates it has the problem and the problem persist even after windows updates are all installed properly. In the device manager all drivers report working fine and I have checked for updates to any of the drivers. My fear is that this is going to be some form of RF interference and it will have to be repaired. At least it is still under warranty. Any other suggestions please toss them my way.

the n70 doesnt have wifi. not all the s60 phones do right now.
when it comes to needing an external antenna, its not needed. the phone has a built in antenna that is capable of getting connections to wlans very well - i have test this on mine, at work i can get a connection anywhere on my floor...
given the way wlans fluctuate, if you are having connection problems it probably isnt down to the way the phone is poicking it up - it is probably down to the signal of the wlan

Ati 9700 Windows Vista Driver Problem on a P10-792

I tried Windows Vista beta 5308 in my Toshiba P10-792 and i was unable to get graphics accelartion with Windows Vista graphics Driver for Ati 9700 , which is is built in P10-792.
It reports error code 43.
After some research i found http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=268378&SiteID=1
Some people suggested to get the latest bios update for the laptop. I updated to the latest bios, but the problem still persists, is anyone experiencing the same problem ?

Usually you should use the Toshiba graphic drivers on the Toshiba notebooks.

Well, the fact is that the Windows Vista is not official on the market and there are many test needed. Furthermore Toshiba doesnt proffer the graphic driver for Windows Vista at this time. In my opinion you have to wait for Toshiba graphic driver. Im sure that original Toshiba graphic drivers will work in the future.

Satellite P10-792 lock ups / crashes and battery

I have been using my P10-792 even since I bought it 3 year ago. Theres been a battery waning box that pops up on my screen (sometimes) saying that I should replace the wrong inserted battery and restart my computer. Theres also a mouse touch pad issue. It touchpad doesnt respond well to my commands while trying to move the pointer.
The battery-warning message usually comes along with the touch pad malfunction. I have to press esc several times to restore the touchpad back to normality and close the process application Btrychkr.exe under the CTRL+ALT+DEL menu to make the waning box go away.
But the major and most recently problem are the lockups, especially when running programs that require high video processing such as 3D games and DVDs. The screen freezes for several seconds before it comes back to life. This is sometimes followed by a sudden shut down.
Finally, when I try to turn it on, it doesnt even get to load windows before it shuts down again, and so on. So I have to wait several minutes before pushing the on button again. Now we have reached a critical situation where the computer wont last more than 10 minutes before it automatically shuts down without any previous notice. There are no error messages so I cannot see what the cause of the problem is. (Battery? Overheating?)
Its also important to notice that a friend of mine with a P10 series also had these same problems and eventually had to buy a new one because the laptop got just out of hand. Im afraid mine gets to the same situation.
How can I fix it?

You use you notebook since 3 years. Did you replace the battery during this 3years?
No? I think it would be a nice idea to change the battery.
Usually after about 500 times of charging and discharging procedures the battery performance going down and the life time decreases
Additional during these 3 years the notebook should be cleaned. The fans suck the dirt and dust and sometime the cooling modules cannot rotate with full performance and cannot cool the CPU and other devices.
Of course, the overheating could be a reason for your shut down problems
It sounds like you havent much experience so I think someone with more experience (technician) should clean the notebooks cooling modules

We have experimented with doing this with some good success. We have been working on adding Cartweaver to a Facebook page by essentially adding a Cartweaver store to Facebook in an iframe. The "store" would be pages with just your basic product display, cart, and checkout functionality, with none of the "window dressing" - just use CSS to match the color and general look of the design it's being added to.
The one problem with this for Facebook is when it comes time to check out toy have to leave Facebook and go to your server where an SSL is in place. Fortunately in this situation this would not be the case, you can have an SSL installed to the root of your site and you'll be okay.
This is an interesting project. Give this a try and let me know how it goes and if you run into any snags, please make a post on the Cartweaver forums: http://forums.cartweaver.com - I'm really confident that this can work, and not only work, but work well.

My iPhone 4S was recently replaced as it had a faulty wifi antenna. The new phone no longer syncs iMessage with my ipad like the old one used to.

My iMessages were always automatically synced with my 6 monthold iPhone 4S. However the phone recently had to be replaced by apple because of a faulty wifi antenna. The new phone was restored from backup. It works fine but iMessage no longer syncs with my ipad. I've looked into the settings and can't see anything wrong? I can iMessage from my phone and iMessage from my ipad but they don't synch. Very frustrating. Would appreciate some help. My nearest spple store is 30 miles away. Thank you so much.

After replacing wifi antenna wifi is still dimmed/greyed out. Bluetooth works fine. How do i fix this issue? Could there be another part that needs replacing?

Homebrew WiFi Antenna (Proper Cable, LMR-195 GR-58?)

I don't know if this is the best forum for my questions, and if not please direct me to one that better suits my needs. I was simply referred to this forum through another one. Anyhow, me and my friend are attempting to build our own wifi antenna and after searching google for a while we have come up dry on a couple things.
1), From the wifi card we wish to attach a cable that will be say 25-50 ft in length which will then attach to the card's reg 3 inch antenna, pretty much extending the antenna from the card. What is the best cable to do this. Originally we were told to use GR-58 50 Ohm Coax cable however after reading further we found that would only be good for 3-4 ft before it pretty much "spills the connection all over the place". We were then recommended to use LMR-195 or better though what type of cable is this as it does not seem to be supplied by Radio Shack. The question is what cable would you guys recomend that could hold a wi-fi signal 25-50 ft from the end of the antenna on one end back into the wifi card on the other, and where can we purchase it?

OK. Understood. You have a massive challenge ahead of you. Also be warned that an external antenna that is not properly protected and grounded can be a fire and safety hazard, and that it can accumulate enough of a static charge in dry, windy environmants to blow up your system (not so much like "boom" , but static electricity is deadly to most semiconductors).
Next, you may want to study on how to make a BALUN / UNUN because the WiFI stuff is 50 Ohm impedence, and your average TV antenna is 300 Ohm (assuming it's a classic LPDA - Log Periodic Dipole Array).
An LPDA for TV will have some elements for ~50 MHz, 260 Mhz, 512MHz, and if it's also a UHF antenna, it might be good up into the 900 MHz ranges. LPDA ware pretty wide spectrum, and you'll probably luck out and hit a harmonic somewhere.
You'll need to craft a 6:1 balun, not that big of a deal actually. Shop some of the amateur radio sites (like aesham.com) for materials or to just buy a 6:1 BALUN.
The Gain of a typical ~ 6 ft LPDA could likely provide enough gain to make the system work =-->IF<--= the cabling is very high quality, the cable termination is nearly perfect, your BALUN is efficient enough, and you don't lose too much signal through the protection system (that would be the protection system against lightning and static ... includes a thingy called a "lightning arrestor" that in no way, form, or fashion could do anything to stop lightning).
By the way, you'll want to bring that TV antenna down and clean every connection on every element. Any noisy junction will kill your signal.
All-in-all, the cable shouldn't cost you more than a couple hundred dollars, the materials for the BALUN another ~US$10-20, connectors another US$20-50, protection elements, maybe another US$25-100 depending on who and what you go with.

Metrics already built in BMM . How to point existing metrics to new source

The BMM layer is is already built and the metrics already calculted. The mertics should point to a new logical table source. Is there a way i can do this without having to redo all the calculations. May be duplicate the existing source tables and rename them to the new one's (As the new tables and the old tables have the same colums except 2 new keys which i can add after renaming). But i have to keep the old tables too as they are sources to other models too. Any Ideas are really appreciated.

I have a very big rpd and the changes i am doing apply to only one logical subject area in the bmm ( one huge fact table in the subject area to be exact ) . Can i still use the nqUDMLGen command? I am trying to duplicate an existing fact table with all the same metrics but with a diff logical table source. I have to keep the existing fact table till we are ready to swap the old one for the new one as there are some reports running on the old one.

That is not very likely as the antennae are different physical designs and fit will be an issue.

His site was originally built in Dreamweaver I think but he have no way of finding the files and lost contact with his original designer. What you are able to adjust is the USB connection mode by going to the home screen and selecting'recent apps' (in the touch keys bar), settings,storage, the menu (the 3 tiny dots) and tap usb pc connection. If you do not want the software to try and install choose either the internet connection or camera option. Let us know if this helps.

Why is the ipod 5th gen wifi antenna exposed

I was wondering why they decided to expose the wifi antenna again on the 5th generation iPod after having the antenna "hidden" on the 4th gen? Does it make the Wifi better, stronger etc.
