P1102W SOFTWARE MUST BE RELOADED EVERYTIME I TURN THE WINXP COMPUTER OFF. PIECE OF JUNK

I WAS LOOKING FOR P1006 LASERJET PRINTER WHICH I LOVE AND COULD NOT FIND ANOTHER ONE. I BOUGHT THE CLOSEST THING TO IT, A HP 1102W LASERJET ON MAY 24TH 2010 FROM STAPLES. I ALWAYS FOLLOW THE PROPER INSTALLATION SEQUENCE.NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. I HAVE TO RELOAD THE SOFTWARE BECAUSE, EVERYTIME I TURN OFF MY PC, THE PRINTER DOES NOT PRINT WHEN I RESTART MY COMPUTER. THE LOADED SOFTWARE IS GONE AFTER I TURN THE PC OFF. WHEN THE PC IS TURNED BACK ON THE USB  "SEES" THE PRINTER BECAUSE I SEE AN HOURGLASS APPEAR, BUT IT WON'T PRINT ANYTHING. I HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE TO HP INDIA SUPPORT FOR OVER 2 HOURS AND THEY TOLD MY ME PC WAS MISSING A PROGRAM. ALSO MADE ANOTHER TO CALLS TO INDIA, NO LUCK. STAPLES TOLD ME IT WAS MY COMPUTER, SO I TRIED MY OTHER XP PC AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS! BUT MY HP1006 LASERJET SEEMS TO WORK FINE ON BOTH COMPUTERS! I PURCHASED A NEW HP P1600DN ON NOVEMBER 27, 2010. IT WOULD NOT STAY ON LONG ENOUGH TO PRINT MORE THAN 2 PAGES. ITALKED TO THE FOLKS IN INDA, THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, OFFERED TO REPLACE MY NEW PRINTER WITH A REFURBISHED ONE. SAME MODEL. I SAID NO THANKS, TOOK IT BACK TO STABLES, EXCHANGE IT FOR A P1102W. WELL IT DOES THE SAME THING.
I AM OUT $189.00 AND NO PLACE TO GO. STABLES WILL ONLY GIVE YOU A CASH CARD WHICH IS ONLY GOOD AT STABLES.

    And to directly answer your question, you don’t inform Adobe, you merely deactivate PS, reimage, then reinstall and reactivate PS with the serial number(s), and relicense LR with the serial number(s).
    If this computer isn’t yours and you don’t have the serial numbers, yourself, then that could be a problem, although there may be software that can find the serial numbers.  On a PC platform, download and run the Belarc Security Advisor and see if it finds the serial numbers you need.  It’ll only find the current product serial numbers, not the prior versions that an upgrade might be based on, so then you’ll be stuck.

    Yes.  I just solved the problem on my PC.  Here goes...
    Issue:  My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
    The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
    Solution: 
    1.  You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite".  This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
    2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
    3.  Uninstall Mobile Me.
    4.  Restart your PC.
    5.  Reinstall Mobile Me.
    6.  Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
    In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application.  I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
    This is where the file was located:
    C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll

    Since updating to iTunes v7.1.1 (5), everytime I turn on my computer or reboot, iTunes launches, this is rather annoying when I don't want to listen to music and have my computer slowed down from another app open. I've checked the Library>StartupItems folder and doesn't contain any alias for iTunes. I have an iPod Shuffle and an original 5GB iPod w/firewire connection, but I haven't plugged either of them in for over two weeks. Any suggestions?

    Go to your System Preferences->Accounts->(your account)->Login Items
    I'd bet iTunes is in that list.

    Try using ScreenSpanningDoctor. It'll let you have different resolutions for the TV out and the iMac, stopping that insane behavior. Also check out the Griffin iMic for your audio out. Using VLC you can select the second screen for video playback and the iMic for audio. Hope this helps. (works great here)

For whatever reason when I have my express extend my wifi at home the download speed from just the express is absolutely terrible, drops to about 1.5 mb compared to when it's on the extremes part of the network the speed goes up to 50-75mb. These terrible download speed really only affects the iPhones as my MacBook Pro usually gets the good speed no matter where it is. I don't believe there is anything wrong with my phone because if I am in the part of the house that uses just the extreme the download speeds on the iphone goes up to 50-75mb. As a note I have an AirPort Extreme on the top floor of my house (second floor) that's where my modem is located. On the first floor that's where one airport express is located. I also have another airport express in the basement that is accessed by my landlord. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be helpful.

    It appears that your networking goals with the AirPort Express is to use it as a wireless Ethernet bridge instead of using it to extend the wireless range of your AirPort Extreme. The latter requires that the Express Wi-Fi radios be enabled.
    If you intended to use the Express as a wireless bridge, you just need to reconfigure it to "Join a wireless" network instead of "Extend a wireless network."
    For whatever reason when I have my express extend my wifi at home the download speed from just the express is absolutely terrible, drops to about 1.5 mb compared to when it's on the extremes part of the network the speed goes up to 50-75mb.
    In an extended network, the placement of the extending base station is critical as it can only extend the wireless network at the bandwidth at which it receives it.

    Wifi:  my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections.  So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
    if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help.  You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service.   Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
    last resort.  Backup the phone.  Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
    if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
    HOWEVER.   voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect.

    The quick answer is, hook up the tv to the computer, close the lid, then wake the computer up by clicking the mouse while the lid is closed. Not sure if it'll work while running windows, but I'd bet it does if you have the mac drivers installed on the win os.

    Go to Settings-Sounds-Text Tone and change to None.  You're referring to the sound when posting a message to someone else, correct?  The only issue is if you set to none, you will not hear the incoming either.

    You can put your iPhone into screen-lock mode (also called sleep mode). It is not off when in this mode: It can still receive calls and other data, but it will not respond to touches on the display, it will not display anything on the screen (except briefly when new data comes in, such as a phone call), and will use much less battery power.
    You can place your iPhone into sleep mode by briefly pressing the power button on the top.
    You can wake your iPhone from sleep mode by briefly pressing either the power button on the top of the home button just below the screen.
    You can set your iPhone to automatically enter sleep mode after a short period of time within the Settings app.
