P1102W will not connect to Mac, OS 10.9

I recently changed internet providers from Verizon to ATT and lost the capability to print wirelessly on the HP P1102W printer.
The HP printer device configuration page shows the wrong wireless Network Name (SSID).  How can I change the Network Name?
The printer is connected to my Mac with USB cable.  Following the HP instructions for USB installation I get to step #4 (see below) and the Embedded Web Server page for the printer does not open in Safari browser.
This is the URL that displays - http://localhost:5050/SSI/index.htm
This is the information that displays - 1.0 1 0 0 1600 ISOPages 2C34 BB6E 3600 0010 Black toner supply K 2014-06-04 ok ok HP 70 toner 2013-04-06 HP 2010-03-30 CE285A 7653180 00000 00000 03,050,1024 741653358
1.  Then go to the Apple, System Preferences, Printers and Scanners.
2.  Highlight the Laserjet on the left side of the window.
3.  Then click on Open Print Queue, click on Settings, click on Utility, click on Open Printer Utility,
4.  then click on the HTML Config button.

  • Blue tooth keyboard will not connect to mac

I have a 21.5" desktop mac and wireless keyboard and mouse.

    Has anybody any suggestions?

  • IPhone 4s Will Charge Sometimes, Will not Connect to Macs or PC's.

I have a year old iPhone 4s, Otterboxed from the beginning. Recently the battery has begun to lose the ability to hold a charge for more than 6 hours or so. Around the same time, I noticed that it was not charging on all of my, or my coworkers chargers. After metering the voltage on the chargers that work, I discovered that it was only charging on chargers that ran slightly higher voltage than normal USB spec. However this problem has proved to be intermittent, and it will occasionally charge on a computer or normal Apple wall charger.
Now to the most alarming consequense. Since my phone started acting up, I have been unable to connect it to any computer. It will not show up as an active device even on a system level. I work for a design and production company where I have many combinations of computers available, so I scooped up 5 known good 30 pin to USB and tried them each on the following systems:
AMD Socket AM2 Windows 8 Desktop
Core 2 Duo Early Unibody MacBook Pro, 10.8.3 and Windows 7
    Mac Pro Quad Xeon 10.7
Core 2 Duo Non Unibody MacBook Pro 10.6
    AMD Samsung Laptop Windows 7
    i7 Retina MacBook Pro, 10.8.3
It was not recognized by the USB controller at any time with any cable. I did a reeboot between every cable and computer swap on both the phone and machine. Needless to say this was very time consuming. I am assuming the hardware in the iPhone is just knackered, I just wanted to be sure. Now before anyone suggests dumping and reloading the OS from the phone itself, the only reason I need to connect at this point is because I have run out of iCloud storage and need to get photos off the phone. I understand I can upload them to Google Drive, but it compresses them in the iPhone app and i would prefer that not to happen.
    Any advise would be helpful.
Needless to say I ran these tests with the most current version of software for every device involved.

could be a periodic defect connector in the iphone

  • TeamViewer will not connect to Mac

I am going on a vacation soon and need to access my iMac for I have files stored on it. But here's where my problem starts. My Mac will have no problem connecting to my Windows laptop. It's only when the laptop tries to connect to the iMac it has a problem. I have been able to connect to the iMac only a twice: once from the laptop and once from my iPod; and then it refused all incoming connections. I don't know if this is a firewall issue or what. I doubt it is, though, because my firewall is off. Both the iMac and the laptop say 'awaiting authentication' but never gets past it. All help is appreciated.
P.S. I just posted it here because to me it seems like a hardware problem.

TeamViewer will not work on my computer; so I switched it over to LogMeIn.

  • P1102W will not work with MAC OS 10.8.5

For a long time my P1102w worked flawlessly, wirelessly, with my home network (1 mac and 1 PC).  Now it hardly works at all.  When we hook it up and move the USB cable between computers it works - kind of.  But with MAC I still get automated messages almost daily that it is missing software and wants to update.  (Choosing yes causes it to download something, but no better results).  I have given up on wireless.  Can anyone tell me how I can get this working again?
    I just want to:
    1.  Be able to print (have it connected) without constant messages that it needs an update or is missing something.
    2.  Ideally, I would like it to work wirelessly again.
All the problems started when I upgraded the MAC OS system.
    Thanks for your help.
P.S.  It is not uncommon for the printer to give false "out of paper" messages or other flashing lights when nothing is wrong.  We often have to pause printing then resume to get it to print, even with the USB connected.

Hello charlottedk, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are having cartridge and printhead problems.  I would like to try and assist.
I would suggest performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend following the steps in this document on an 'Incompatible Print Cartridge' or 'Print Cartridge Problem' Message Displays on the Computer or P...

  • P1102w will not connect to internet

    Hi
I am having a problem getting my new ASUS C300 Chromebook to recognize my HP Laser Jet Professional P1102w.  I have both connected to my wifi network and have numerous apple products that will recognize the printer on the network.  Additionally, I have an HP Photosmart 7510 that is on the network and the Chromebook had no problems recognizing it.  I have gone through the steps to set up the P1102w to access the internet and everytime from every device when I go to the ip address for the printer, it says unable to connect to the internet.  Additionally, when I am at the ip address website on the Chromebook, it will print a configuration report over the network to the P1102w.  Any suggestions?  Your help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much!

    Hi sjp,
Have you installed the latest firmware for the printer (version 20130703)? it is essencial for wPrint to work.
    Fix/Enhancement:
Enhancements for ePrint - This update will be necessary in order to maintain ePrint functionality.
You may find the current firmware version from the Printer Status Report, that can be porinted by holding the Cancel button pressed till the device start printing.
Be aware tha he firmware update tool is available for Mac OS X 10.4 up to 10.9 or for any Windows version, the tool for a Mac cn be found below.
Also be aware that you must connect the printer via USB to update its firmware, it is not supported through a wireless connection:

I have OS 10.8.2 and use wireless at home just fine.
When I visit a friend with only a cable modem internet my Mac Book Pro will not connect.
I see that the Mac Book Pro is picking up the internet when I check the internet preference section but it will not open Safari.
What do I need to do connect via a cable modem?

You need to power off the modem for 15-30 seconds, then power back up and then connect. The modem is remembering the last connection (your friend).

    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.
