P2P option in Flash 10.1

How do i disable this option for ALL computers in my environment. We do not and will not allow P2P for any app in our environment and I need to either edit the msi script or be able to use some kind of command line switch to turn this off when I push out this insallation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We do not provide any default option for disabling p2p in our 10 or 10.1 swc, whether streams are p2p depends completely on your connection rtmfp/rtmps, number of streams, player version, firewall and so on.
However, I can suggest you one hack which you can use in your app if you want to disable p2p for streams for player 10/10.1. Just make
streamManager.maxP2PStreamPublish = 0 , and none of the streams of yours shouldn’t be p2p. I haven’t tried it but I think it will work. Just give it a shot.

You could check for upgrades for graphics drivers (and DIrectX), if that fails disable hardware accel, im not sure you can turn all animations off.

Add a link to page option with flash animations??

Hello, I see that you have an option for images if you insert an image, you have a link to html page option
But if you insert a flash animation , there is no link option?
as some research i have found that I have to do it i flash itself.
Why did you not create a link option for flash animations? as you have with images, a link option would be great for flash animations also
Is there a code I can do in dreamweaver to link flash animations to a page.

Don't know what phone you use or if what you're seeing is actually Flash, but Apple iDevices don't support Flash. Never have and never will.

Available HTTP delivery options for Flash Access encrypted content

Dear colleagues,
Could you please clarify available HTTP delivery options for Flash Access encrypted content.
Standard HTTP DS scheme with Apache web server getting chunks of video from segmented with f4fpackager file.
HTTP Progressive Download of encrypted with Flash Access file (non segmented).
Is it possible to use byte range delivery in this case in order to start playback from custom position (seek)?
Are there any pitfalls in this case? Is it required to make encryption blocks aligned with keyframe intervals or something like that?

Thanks for your response, seems though that only the encrypted videos appear to have a problem because when I tried some un-encrypted videos (again from adobe http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/unencrypted/Indesign.f4v ) it played fine.
Maybe is has something to do with the decryption process and the hardware of the mobile phone after all.

Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended | Print Option | Enable Flash Object Issue

Hi,
We are facing some problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended Print Option.
We had a requirement to embed interactive Flash graphs in the PDF file, user will interact with these graphs and whatever graph he plotted, the data for it will be saved in PDF text field, so that on the next launch we can fetch the data to the flash from PDF text fields, so that user can see what changes he did last time. This works great, we are able to successfully comminicate from PDF to flash and then from Flash to PDF.
Please note that, PDF can have multiple graphs on different pages.
The issue we are facing is when we interact with the graphs and then try to print the PDF, in that case only the currently active graph or flash file (The page on which user is currently on) will be seen enabled in the print, the graphs on the other pages, which are not currently visible are seen in disabled state hence the data on it does not get printed.
We have also used the "RMA.activated = true;" command, still no success. Please refer to the screen shots below to understand the issue in more detail..

We want all Graphs to get printed in enabled state and with the data user had entered. Please do let me know, if there is any workaround to achive this functionality.

Which version. I think it is a minimum of AA9.2 that is needed for X64. Anyway, you should probably either open Acrobat and do the update (help menu) or download all of the updates from Adobe>downloads>updates and install them in order. The current version is AA9.3.4.

There are two options here that I can think of..
1. Preinstall AIR on their machines, and use AIR files. That will work IF AIR is already installed. Flash projectors have no ability to control the file system in this way, but AIR does.
2. Use a Director projector. There are Director Xtras that can control the file system, and you can embed a SWF in Director. So you wouldn't have to recreate the SWF content, you'd only need to have Director and learn some basics about using SWF and making projectors.
That's all I can think of.

Missing Menu Options in Flash Builder

I encountered a mystery surrounding several missing menu options in one of my Flash Builder workspaces recently. I wanted to create a new skin for a List control so I right-clicked on my skins folder and looked for the New MXML Skin option. And I looked. And I looked some more. But it wasn't there.
I happened to have another copy of Flash Builder open in another workspace so I gave it a try in that project. Sure enough, the New MXML Skin option was there along with a couple of other options that were missing in the first workspace. Here's a list of the menu options missing from the File --> New menu in this workspace:
Flash Professional Project
MXML Item Renderer
MXML Skin
I'm not sure why those menu options went missing but I was able to work around it by recreating the workspace. I simply created a new workspace, copied all of the projects into the new workspace folder and then imported all of my projects into the new folder. I then had a full set of menu items.
I poked around a bit trying to figure out what went wrong but wasn't able to find a conclusive answer. My best guess is that it has something to do with the fact that I was previously running the Flex 4 beta and that's when I created the workspace with the problem. I compared the workspace .metadata folder and, curiously, there were 25 folders inside the .plugins folder for the problem workspace but only 12 for the newly created one.

This is an eclipse thingy, menus get cached in the workspace' metadata. If you try using a newer build of Flash Builder with a workspace from the previous version, you may notice this behavior.
The workaround is to create a new workspace and import all projects there.

No pressure sensitivity button in brush options in flash cc

i have been using flash for the past 2 weeks and have been unable to access the option to enable pressure sensitivity for my wacom tablet. I have tried resizing the windows and restarting flash and i have had no luck

That's probably a driver issue and not Flash. try reinstalling your driver, or maybe go to the previous one instead. Also there is a thing called the Feel it driver on Wacom's site that might work for you.

How to make sound optional in flash?

I need to edit this flash design. I have not done flash in a

Brush Options in Flash CS3 not showing up

Hello. I'm using Flash CS3 and I'm not able to see all of the
options for the Brush tool. I don't have the pressure-sensitive
option or the tilt option. Is there something I need to download or
click on to get these options? I'm not sure why I don't have them
available to me..my tool palette ends at the brush size and shape
options at the bottom. Any ideas please?

Woops, it's the Flash CS4 Tools panel that has more resizing
options.
In Flash CS3, you should at least be able to adjust the width
of the Tools
panel (click the very top, in the area of the panel that has
double arrows).
The wider version of that panel gives it two columns, and
shortens it --
which might just show your missing buttons.

Look into using the FileReference class and its download() method. There are examples in the Flash documentation that should help you.

Disable recordings options of flash audio

hello
maybe a bit advanced but out of curiosity...
if a flash media player is streaming audio to the users
brower, how can you disable the audio card's ability to real-time
record said streaming audio?
that is to say.....
the audio is streaming to the user through the flash player
and the users browser
the user is able to then open the mixer of the audio card and
selects "record all" for example or "record mix"
this will then record the output of the flash streaming media
to the users pc
how can this "recording" option be disabled
it can be done as i have experienced said performance from an
audio streaming site

Why McAffee option in flash download?

Why does Adobe insist on offering McAfee antvirus with their Flash upgrades? At least leave it UNTICKED instead of a rather subversive and stupid pre-selected part of the upload. Was someone having a fit of brain numbness when the dialogue box was created or is someone getting a kickback from McAfee? Poor customer relations, Adobe!!

People click something they didn't take the time to look at first, or they don't click something they should have unchecked. That's their "own damn fault" so to speak.
